Distant GALAXY
Research on distant galaxies focuses on improving our understanding of galaxy formation, evolution, and their role in cosmology. Current efforts leverage machine learning, particularly convolutional neural networks (CNNs), graph neural networks (GNNs), and diffusion models, to analyze vast datasets from surveys like DESI and LSST, enabling more accurate classification, redshift estimation, and 3D shape recovery. These advancements are crucial for refining cosmological models, improving our understanding of dark matter and dark energy, and facilitating more efficient analysis of the exponentially growing volume of astronomical data.
