New Pathway
Research on "pathways" spans diverse fields, focusing on identifying and optimizing sequences of events or steps within complex systems. Current efforts involve developing novel algorithms and model architectures, such as transformers and reinforcement learning, to analyze and predict pathways in areas ranging from biological processes (e.g., gene regulation, metabolic pathways) to artificial intelligence (e.g., LLM function calls, image generation, decision-making in robots and AI agents). Understanding and manipulating these pathways is crucial for advancing fields like healthcare, climate modeling, and AI safety, enabling improved diagnostics, more effective interventions, and more robust AI systems.
