Political Leaning
Research on political leaning focuses on accurately identifying and classifying individuals' or entities' political positions using computational methods. Current efforts utilize various machine learning models, including BERT and other transformer-based architectures, to analyze text data from diverse sources like social media, news articles, and parliamentary speeches, often incorporating multimodal data (text and images) for improved accuracy. This research is significant for understanding political polarization, echo chambers, and information dissemination, with applications ranging from improving social media algorithms to enhancing political science research through data-driven analysis of political discourse.
