Ideology Prediction
Ideology prediction research aims to automatically determine the political leaning of text, images, or individuals using computational methods. Current approaches leverage large language models (LLMs), graph neural networks, and various supervised and unsupervised learning techniques, often incorporating multimodal data (text and images) and external knowledge sources to improve accuracy and address challenges like data scarcity and bias. This field is significant for its potential to enhance understanding of political polarization, improve the detection of misinformation, and inform social science research by providing quantitative measures of ideological positions.
