Social Interaction
Social interaction research explores how individuals and agents interact, aiming to understand and model the dynamics of these interactions across various contexts. Current research focuses on leveraging machine learning, particularly large language models and graph neural networks, to analyze communication patterns, predict behavior (e.g., in dance or driving), and infer values and norms from online interactions. This work has implications for improving human-robot interaction, mitigating the spread of misinformation, and developing more socially aware AI systems, ultimately contributing to a deeper understanding of human and artificial social intelligence.
