Tumor Associated Vasculature
Tumor-associated vasculature, the blood vessel network within and around tumors, is a key area of cancer research focusing on understanding its structure and function to improve diagnosis and treatment. Current research employs advanced imaging techniques like perfusion MRI, coupled with deep learning models such as U-Nets and graph neural networks, to analyze vascular morphology and predict treatment response or surgical resectability. These efforts aim to identify quantitative biomarkers, reflecting vascular characteristics, that can personalize cancer treatment strategies and improve patient outcomes by predicting treatment success and prognosis.
