Overview

The field builds models that generate or edit sound and moving images together, or use one modality to create the other. Common approaches include diffusion transformers and flow-matching models, with text, reference media, event timelines, or motion cues guiding generation; autoregressive versions support streaming and longer clips. Applications range from video soundtracks and music videos to talking avatars, with controls for identity, timing, sound sources, and scene structure. A central challenge is that perceptual quality and basic synchronization do not guarantee semantic or physical correctness, especially across long scenes, so evaluation increasingly tests human judgments, fine-grained control, and physical grounding.

TurboTalk: Progressive Distillation for One-Step Audio-Driven Talking Avatar Generation

Existing audio-driven video digital human generation models rely on multi-step denoising, resulting in substantial computational overhead that severely limits their deployment in real-world settings. While one-step distillation approaches can significantly accelerate inference, they often suffer from training instability. To address this challenge, we propose TurboTalk, a two-stage progressive distillation framework that effectively compresses a multi-step audio-driven video diffusion model into a single-step generator. We first adopt Distribution Matching Distillation to obtain a strong and stable 4-step student, and then progressively reduce the denoising steps from 4 to 1 through adversarial distillation. To ensure stable training under extreme step reduction, we introduce a progressive timestep sampling strategy and a self-compare adversarial objective that provides an intermediate adversarial reference that stabilizes progressive distillation. Our method achieve single-step generation of video talking avatar, boosting inference speed by 120 times while maintaining high generation quality.

Seedance 2.0 is a new native multi-modal audio-video generation model, officially released in China in early February 2026. Compared with its predecessors, Seedance 1.0 and 1.5 Pro, Seedance 2.0 adopts a unified, highly efficient, and large-scale architecture for multi-modal audio-video joint generation. This allows it to support four input modalities: text, image, audio, and video, by integrating one of the most comprehensive suites of multi-modal content reference and editing capabilities available in the industry to date. It delivers substantial, well-rounded improvements across all key sub-dimensions of video and audio generation. In both expert evaluations and public user tests, the model has demonstrated performance on par with the leading levels in the field. Seedance 2.0 supports direct generation of audio-video content with durations ranging from 4 to 15 seconds, with native output resolutions of 480p and 720p. For multi-modal inputs as reference, its current open platform supports up to 3 video clips, 9 images, and 3 audio clips. In addition, we provide Seedance 2.0 Fast version, an accelerated variant of Seedance 2.0 designed to boost generation speed for low-latency scenarios. Seedance 2.0 has delivered significant improvements to its foundational generation capabilities and multi-modal generation performance, bringing an enhanced creative experience for end users.

OmniShow: Unifying Multimodal Conditions for Human-Object Interaction Video Generation

In this work, we study Human-Object Interaction Video Generation (HOIVG), which aims to synthesize high-quality human-object interaction videos conditioned on text, reference images, audio, and pose. This task holds significant practical value for automating content creation in real-world applications, such as e-commerce demonstrations, short video production, and interactive entertainment. However, existing approaches fail to accommodate all these requisite conditions. We present OmniShow, an end-to-end framework tailored for this practical yet challenging task, capable of harmonizing multimodal conditions and delivering industry-grade performance. To overcome the trade-off between controllability and quality, we introduce Unified Channel-wise Conditioning for efficient image and pose injection, and Gated Local-Context Attention to ensure precise audio-visual synchronization. To effectively address data scarcity, we develop a Decoupled-Then-Joint Training strategy that leverages a multi-stage training process with model merging to efficiently harness heterogeneous sub-task datasets. Furthermore, to fill the evaluation gap in this field, we establish HOIVG-Bench, a dedicated and comprehensive benchmark for HOIVG. Extensive experiments demonstrate that OmniShow achieves overall state-of-the-art performance across various multimodal conditioning settings, setting a solid standard for the emerging HOIVG task.

VidAudio-Bench: Benchmarking V2A and VT2A Generation across Four Audio Categories

Video-to-Audio (V2A) generation is essential for immersive multimedia experiences, yet its evaluation remains underexplored. Existing benchmarks typically assess diverse audio types under a unified protocol, overlooking the fine-grained requirements of distinct audio categories. To address this gap, we propose VidAudio-Bench, a multi-task benchmark for V2A evaluation with four key features: (1) Broad Coverage: It encompasses four representative audio categories - sound effects, music, speech, and singing - under both V2A and Video-Text-to-Audio (VT2A) settings. (2) Extensive Evaluation: It comprises 1,634 video-text pairs and benchmarks 11 state-of-the-art generation models. (3) Comprehensive Metrics: It introduces 13 task-specific, reference-free metrics to systematically assess audio quality, video-audio consistency, and text-audio consistency. (4) Human Alignment: It validates all metrics through subjective studies, demonstrating strong consistency with human preferences. Experimental results reveal that current V2A models perform poorly in speech and singing compared to sound effects. Our VT2A results further highlight a fundamental tension between instruction following and visually grounded generation: stronger visual conditioning improves video-audio alignment, but often at the cost of generating the intended audio category. These findings establish VidAudio-Bench as a comprehensive and scalable framework for diagnosing V2A systems and provide new insights into multimodal audio generation.

Beyond Monologue: Interactive Talking-Listening Avatar Generation with Conversational Audio Context-Aware Kernels

Audio-driven human video generation has achieved remarkable success in monologue scenarios, largely driven by advancements in powerful video generation foundation models. Moving beyond monologues, authentic human communication is inherently a full-duplex interactive process, requiring virtual agents not only to articulate their own speech but also to react naturally to incoming conversational audio. Most existing methods simply extend conventional audio-driven paradigms to listening scenarios. However, relying on strict frame-to-frame alignment renders the model's response to long-range conversational dynamics rigid, whereas directly introducing global attention catastrophically degrades lip synchronization. Recognizing the unique temporal Scale Discrepancy between talking and listening behaviors, we introduce a multi-head Gaussian kernel to explicitly inject this physical intuition into the model as a progressive temporal inductive bias. Building upon this, we construct a full-duplex interactive virtual agent capable of simultaneously processing dual-stream audio inputs for both talking and listening. Furthermore, we introduce a rigorously cleaned Talking-Listening dataset VoxHear featuring perfectly decoupled speech and background audio tracks. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our approach successfully fuses strong temporal alignment with deep contextual semantics, setting a new state-of-the-art for generating highly natural and responsive full-duplex interactive digital humans. Tora3: Trajectory-Guided Audio-Video Generation with Physical Coherence

Audio-video (AV) generation has recently made strong progress in perceptual quality and multimodal coherence, yet generating content with plausible motion-sound relations remains challenging. Existing methods often produce object motions that are visually unstable and sounds that are only loosely aligned with salient motion or contact events, largely because they lack an explicit motion-aware structure shared by video and audio generation. We present Tora3, a trajectory-guided AV generation framework that improves physical coherence by using object trajectories as a shared kinematic prior. Rather than treating trajectories as a video-only control signal, Tora3 uses them to jointly guide visual motion and acoustic events. Specifically, we design a trajectory-aligned motion representation for video, a kinematic-audio alignment module driven by trajectory-derived second-order kinematic states, and a hybrid flow matching scheme that preserves trajectory fidelity in trajectory-conditioned regions while maintaining local coherence elsewhere. We further curate PAV, a large-scale AV dataset emphasizing motion-relevant patterns with automatically extracted motion annotations. Extensive experiments show that Tora3 improves motion realism, motion-sound synchronization, and overall AV generation quality over strong open-source baselines. AVGen-Bench: A Task-Driven Benchmark for Multi-Granular Evaluation of Text-to-Audio-Video Generation

Text-to-Audio-Video (T2AV) generation is rapidly becoming a core interface for media creation, yet its evaluation remains fragmented. Existing benchmarks largely assess audio and video in isolation or rely on coarse embedding similarity, failing to capture the fine-grained joint correctness required by realistic prompts. We introduce AVGen-Bench, a task-driven benchmark for T2AV generation featuring high-quality prompts across 11 real-world categories. To support comprehensive assessment, we propose a multi-granular evaluation framework that combines lightweight specialist models with Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs), enabling evaluation from perceptual quality to fine-grained semantic controllability. Our evaluation reveals a pronounced gap between strong audio-visual aesthetics and weak semantic reliability, including persistent failures in text rendering, speech coherence, physical reasoning, and a universal breakdown in musical pitch control. Code and benchmark resources are available at http://aka.ms/avgenbench.

LPM 1.0: Video-based Character Performance Model

Performance, the externalization of intent, emotion, and personality through visual, vocal, and temporal behavior, is what makes a character alive. Learning such performance from video is a promising alternative to traditional 3D pipelines. However, existing video models struggle to jointly achieve high expressiveness, real-time inference, and long-horizon identity stability, a tension we call the performance trilemma. Conversation is the most comprehensive performance scenario, as characters simultaneously speak, listen, react, and emote while maintaining identity over time. To address this, we present LPM 1.0 (Large Performance Model), focusing on single-person full-duplex audio-visual conversational performance. Concretely, we build a multimodal human-centric dataset through strict filtering, speaking-listening audio-video pairing, performance understanding, and identity-aware multi-reference extraction; train a 17B-parameter Diffusion Transformer (Base LPM) for highly controllable, identity-consistent performance through multimodal conditioning; and distill it into a causal streaming generator (Online LPM) for low-latency, infinite-length interaction. At inference, given a character image with identity-aware references, LPM 1.0 generates listening videos from user audio and speaking videos from synthesized audio, with text prompts for motion control, all at real-time speed with identity-stable, infinite-length generation. LPM 1.0 thus serves as a visual engine for conversational agents, live streaming characters, and game NPCs. To systematically evaluate this setting, we propose LPM-Bench, the first benchmark for interactive character performance. LPM 1.0 achieves state-of-the-art results across all evaluated dimensions while maintaining real-time inference.

OmniSonic: Towards Universal and Holistic Audio Generation from Video and Text

In this paper, we propose Universal Holistic Audio Generation (UniHAGen), a task for synthesizing comprehensive auditory scenes that include both on-screen and off-screen sounds across diverse domains (e.g., ambient events, musical instruments, and human speech). Prior video-conditioned audio generation models typically focus on producing on-screen environmental sounds that correspond to visible sounding events, neglecting off-screen auditory events. While recent holistic joint text-video-to-audio generation models aim to produce auditory scenes with both on- and off-screen sound but they are limited to non-speech sounds, lacking the ability to generate or integrate human speech. To overcome these limitations, we introduce OmniSonic, a flow-matching-based diffusion framework jointly conditioned on video and text. It features a TriAttn-DiT architecture that performs three cross-attention operations to process on-screen environmental sound, off-screen environmental sound, and speech conditions simultaneously, with a Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) gating mechanism that adaptively balances their contributions during generation. Furthermore, we construct UniHAGen-Bench, a new benchmark with over one thousand samples covering three representative on/off-screen speech-environment scenarios. Extensive experiments show that OmniSonic consistently outperforms state-of-the-art approaches on both objective metrics and human evaluations, establishing a strong baseline for universal and holistic audio generation. DynFOA: Generating First-Order Ambisonics with Conditional Diffusion for Dynamic and Acoustically Complex 360-Degree Videos

Spatial audio is crucial for immersive 360-degree video experiences, yet most 360-degree videos lack it due to the difficulty of capturing spatial audio during recording. Automatically generating spatial audio such as first-order ambisonics (FOA) from video therefore remains an important but challenging problem. In complex scenes, sound perception depends not only on sound source locations but also on scene geometry, materials, and dynamic interactions with the environment. However, existing approaches only rely on visual cues and fail to model dynamic sources and acoustic effects such as occlusion, reflections, and reverberation. To address these challenges, we propose DynFOA, a generative framework that synthesizes FOA from 360-degree videos by integrating dynamic scene reconstruction with conditional diffusion modeling. DynFOA analyzes the input video to detect and localize dynamic sound sources, estimate depth and semantics, and reconstruct scene geometry and materials using 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS). The reconstructed scene representation provides physically grounded features that capture acoustic interactions between sources, environment, and listener viewpoint. Conditioned on these features, a diffusion model generates spatial audio consistent with the scene dynamics and acoustic context. We introduce M2G-360, a dataset of 600 real-world clips divided into MoveSources, Multi-Source, and Geometry subsets for evaluating robustness under diverse conditions. Experiments show that DynFOA consistently outperforms existing methods in spatial accuracy, acoustic fidelity, distribution matching, and perceived immersive experience.

SonoWorld: From One Image to a 3D Audio-Visual Scene

Tremendous progress in visual scene generation now turns a single image into an explorable 3D world, yet immersion remains incomplete without sound. We introduce Image2AVScene, the task of generating a 3D audio-visual scene from a single image, and present SonoWorld, the first framework to tackle this challenge. From one image, our pipeline outpaints a 360° panorama, lifts it into a navigable 3D scene, places language-guided sound anchors, and renders ambisonics for point, areal, and ambient sources, yielding spatial audio aligned with scene geometry and semantics. Quantitative evaluations on a newly curated real-world dataset and a controlled user study confirm the effectiveness of our approach. Beyond free-viewpoint audio-visual rendering, we also demonstrate applications to one-shot acoustic learning and audio-visual spatial source separation. AVControl: Efficient Framework for Training Audio-Visual Controls

Controlling video and audio generation requires diverse modalities, from depth and pose to camera trajectories and audio transformations, yet existing approaches either train a single monolithic model for a fixed set of controls or introduce costly architectural changes for each new modality. We introduce AVControl, a lightweight, extendable framework built on LTX-2, a joint audio-visual foundation model, where each control modality is trained as a separate LoRA on a parallel canvas that provides the reference signal as additional tokens in the attention layers, requiring no architectural changes beyond the LoRA adapters themselves. We show that simply extending image-based in-context methods to video fails for structural control, and that our parallel canvas approach resolves this. On the VACE Benchmark, we outperform all evaluated baselines on depth- and pose-guided generation, inpainting, and outpainting, and show competitive results on camera control and audio-visual benchmarks. Our framework supports a diverse set of independently trained modalities: spatially-aligned controls such as depth, pose, and edges, camera trajectory with intrinsics, sparse motion control, video editing, and, to our knowledge, the first modular audio-visual controls for a joint generation model. Our method is both compute- and data-efficient: each modality requires only a small dataset and converges within a few hundred to a few thousand training steps, a fraction of the budget of monolithic alternatives. We publicly release our code and trained LoRA checkpoints.

InterDyad: Interactive Dyadic Speech-to-Video Generation by Querying Intermediate Visual Guidance

Despite progress in speech-to-video synthesis, existing methods often struggle to capture cross-individual dependencies and provide fine-grained control over reactive behaviors in dyadic settings. To address these challenges, we propose InterDyad, a framework that enables naturalistic interactive dynamics synthesis via querying structural motion guidance. Specifically, we first design an Interactivity Injector that achieves video reenactment based on identity-agnostic motion priors extracted from reference videos. Building upon this, we introduce a MetaQuery-based modality alignment mechanism to bridge the gap between conversational audio and these motion priors. By leveraging a Multimodal Large Language Model (MLLM), our framework is able to distill linguistic intent from audio to dictate the precise timing and appropriateness of reactions. To further improve lip-sync quality under extreme head poses, we propose Role-aware Dyadic Gaussian Guidance (RoDG) for enhanced lip-synchronization and spatial consistency. Finally, we introduce a dedicated evaluation suite with novelly designed metrics to quantify dyadic interaction. Comprehensive experiments demonstrate that InterDyad significantly outperforms state-of-the-art methods in producing natural and contextually grounded two-person interactions. Speed by Simplicity: A Single-Stream Architecture for Fast Audio-Video Generative Foundation Model

We present daVinci-MagiHuman, an open-source audio-video generative foundation model for human-centric generation. daVinci-MagiHuman jointly generates synchronized video and audio using a single-stream Transformer that processes text, video, and audio within a unified token sequence via self-attention only. This single-stream design avoids the complexity of multi-stream or cross-attention architectures while remaining easy to optimize with standard training and inference infrastructure. The model is particularly strong in human-centric scenarios, producing expressive facial performance, natural speech-expression coordination, realistic body motion, and precise audio-video synchronization. It supports multilingual spoken generation across Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese), English, Japanese, Korean, German, and French. For efficient inference, we combine the single-stream backbone with model distillation, latent-space super-resolution, and a Turbo VAE decoder, enabling generation of a 5-second 256p video in 2 seconds on a single H100 GPU. In automatic evaluation, daVinci-MagiHuman achieves the highest visual quality and text alignment among leading open models, along with the lowest word error rate (14.60%) for speech intelligibility. In pairwise human evaluation, it achieves win rates of 80.0% against Ovi 1.1 and 60.9% against LTX 2.3 over 2000 comparisons. We open-source the complete model stack, including the base model, the distilled model, the super-resolution model, and the inference codebase.

FoleyDirector: Fine-Grained Temporal Steering for Video-to-Audio Generation via Structured Scripts

Recent Video-to-Audio (V2A) methods have achieved remarkable progress, enabling the synthesis of realistic, high-quality audio. However, they struggle with fine-grained temporal control in multi-event scenarios or when visual cues are insufficient, such as small regions, off-screen sounds, or occluded or partially visible objects. In this paper, we propose FoleyDirector, a framework that, for the first time, enables precise temporal guidance in DiT-based V2A generation while preserving the base model's audio quality and allowing seamless switching between V2A generation and temporally controlled synthesis. FoleyDirector introduces Structured Temporal Scripts (STS), a set of captions corresponding to short temporal segments, to provide richer temporal information. These features are integrated via the Script-Guided Temporal Fusion Module, which employs Temporal Script Attention to fuse STS features coherently. To handle complex multi-event scenarios, we further propose Bi-Frame Sound Synthesis, enabling parallel in-frame and out-of-frame audio generation and improving controllability. To support training and evaluation, we construct the DirectorSound dataset and introduce VGGSoundDirector and DirectorBench. Experiments demonstrate that FoleyDirector substantially enhances temporal controllability while maintaining high audio fidelity, empowering users to act as Foley directors and advancing V2A toward more expressive and controllable generation.

Improving Joint Audio-Video Generation with Cross-Modal Context Learning

The dual-stream transformer architecture-based joint audio-video generation method has become the dominant paradigm in current research. By incorporating pre-trained video diffusion models and audio diffusion models, along with a cross-modal interaction attention module, high-quality, temporally synchronized audio-video content can be generated with minimal training data. In this paper, we first revisit the dual-stream transformer paradigm and further analyze its limitations, including model manifold variations caused by the gating mechanism controlling cross-modal interactions, biases in multi-modal background regions introduced by cross-modal attention, and the inconsistencies in multi-modal classifier-free guidance (CFG) during training and inference, as well as conflicts between multiple conditions. To alleviate these issues, we propose Cross-Modal Context Learning (CCL), equipped with several carefully designed modules. Temporally Aligned RoPE and Partitioning (TARP) effectively enhances the temporal alignment between audio latent and video latent representations. The Learnable Context Tokens (LCT) and Dynamic Context Routing (DCR) in the Cross-Modal Context Attention (CCA) module provide stable unconditional anchors for cross-modal information, while dynamically routing based on different training tasks, further enhancing the model's convergence speed and generation quality. During inference, Unconditional Context Guidance (UCG) leverages the unconditional support provided by LCT to facilitate different forms of CFG, improving train-inference consistency and further alleviating conflicts. Through comprehensive evaluations, CCL achieves state-of-the-art performance compared with recent academic methods while requiring substantially fewer resources.

Identity as Presence: Towards Appearance and Voice Personalized Joint Audio-Video Generation

Recent advances in video synthesis have enabled realistic integration of real individuals, driving demand for identity-aware generation. While emerging methods support joint appearance and voice injection in audio-visual models, they primarily focus on single-subject settings. Multimodal identity integration across multiple subjects remains limited, and precise alignment between visual and vocal identities in multi-subject scenarios remains underexplored. We present Identity-as-Presence, a unified framework for joint personalized audio-video generation. An automated data curation pipeline constructs identity-labeled audio-visual pairs for single- and multi-subject scenes. A unified identity injection mechanism then binds paired appearance and voice through shared cross-modal identity binding and subject-anchored captions. A multi-stage training strategy further leverages large-scale unimodal data alongside scarce paired clips to mitigate modality imbalance. Experiments show superior audio quality, video fidelity, and audio-visual consistency, with stronger multi-subject binding than the compared methods. For more details and qualitative results, please refer to our webpage: Identity-as-Presence.

Diffusion Models for Joint Audio-Video Generation

Multimodal generative models have shown remarkable progress in single-modality video and audio synthesis, yet truly joint audio-video generation remains an open challenge. In this paper, I explore four key contributions to advance this field. First, I release two high-quality, paired audio-video datasets. The datasets consisting on 13 hours of video-game clips and 64 hours of concert performances, each segmented into consistent 34-second samples to facilitate reproducible research. Second, I train the MM-Diffusion architecture from scratch on our datasets, demonstrating its ability to produce semantically coherent audio-video pairs and quantitatively evaluating alignment on rapid actions and musical cues. Third, I investigate joint latent diffusion by leveraging pretrained video and audio encoder-decoders, uncovering challenges and inconsistencies in the multimodal decoding stage. Finally, I propose a sequential two-step text-to-audio-video generation pipeline: first generating video, then conditioning on both the video output and the original prompt to synthesize temporally synchronized audio. My experiments show that this modular approach yields high-fidelity generations of audio video generation.

AC-Foley: Reference-Audio-Guided Video-to-Audio Synthesis with Acoustic Transfer

Existing video-to-audio (V2A) generation methods predominantly rely on text prompts alongside visual information to synthesize audio. However, two critical bottlenecks persist: semantic granularity gaps in training data, such as conflating acoustically distinct sounds under coarse labels, and textual ambiguity in describing micro-acoustic features. These bottlenecks make it difficult to perform fine-grained sound synthesis using text-controlled modes. To address these limitations, we propose AC-Foley, an audio-conditioned V2A model that directly leverages reference audio to achieve precise and fine-grained control over generated sounds. This approach enables fine-grained sound synthesis, timbre transfer, zero-shot sound generation, and improved audio quality. By directly conditioning on audio signals, our approach bypasses the semantic ambiguities of text descriptions while enabling precise manipulation of acoustic attributes. Empirically, AC-Foley achieves state-of-the-art performance for Foley generation when conditioned on reference audio, while remaining competitive with state-of-the-art video-to-audio methods even without audio conditioning. AvatarForcing: One-Step Streaming Talking Avatars via Local-Future Sliding-Window Denoising

Real-time talking avatar generation requires low latency and minute-level temporal stability. Autoregressive (AR) forcing enables streaming inference but suffers from exposure bias, which causes errors to accumulate and become irreversible over long rollouts. In contrast, full-sequence diffusion transformers mitigate drift but remain computationally prohibitive for real-time long-form synthesis. We present AvatarForcing, a one-step streaming diffusion framework that denoises a fixed local-future window with heterogeneous noise levels and emits one clean block per step under constant per-step cost. To stabilize unbounded streams, the method introduces dual-anchor temporal forcing: a style anchor that re-indexes RoPE to maintain a fixed relative position with respect to the active window and applies anchor-audio zero-padding, and a temporal anchor that reuses recently emitted clean blocks to ensure smooth transitions. Real-time one-step inference is enabled by two-stage streaming distillation with offline ODE backfill and distribution matching. Experiments on standard benchmarks and a new 400-video long-form benchmark show strong visual quality and lip synchronization at 34 ms/frame using a 1.3B-parameter student model for realtime streaming. OmniForcing: Unleashing Real-time Joint Audio-Visual Generation

Recent joint audio-visual diffusion models achieve remarkable generation quality but suffer from high latency due to their bidirectional attention dependencies, hindering real-time applications. We propose OmniForcing, the first framework to distill an offline, dual-stream bidirectional diffusion model into a high-fidelity streaming autoregressive generator. However, naively applying causal distillation to such dual-stream architectures triggers severe training instability, due to the extreme temporal asymmetry between modalities and the resulting token sparsity. We address the inherent information density gap by introducing an Asymmetric Block-Causal Alignment with a zero-truncation Global Prefix that prevents multi-modal synchronization drift. The gradient explosion caused by extreme audio token sparsity during the causal shift is further resolved through an Audio Sink Token mechanism equipped with an Identity RoPE constraint. Finally, a Joint Self-Forcing Distillation paradigm enables the model to dynamically self-correct cumulative cross-modal errors from exposure bias during long rollouts. Empowered by a modality-independent rolling KV-cache inference scheme, OmniForcing achieves state-of-the-art streaming generation at ∼\sim25 FPS on a single GPU, maintaining multi-modal synchronization and visual quality on par with the bidirectional teacher.Project Page: https://omniforcing.com

V2A-DPO: Omni-Preference Optimization for Video-to-Audio Generation

This paper introduces V2A-DPO, a novel Direct Preference Optimization (DPO) framework tailored for flow-based video-to-audio generation (V2A) models, incorporating key adaptations to effectively align generated audio with human preferences. Our approach incorporates three core innovations: (1) AudioScore-a comprehensive human preference-aligned scoring system for assessing semantic consistency, temporal alignment, and perceptual quality of synthesized audio; (2) an automated AudioScore-driven pipeline for generating large-scale preference pair data for DPO optimization; (3) a curriculum learning-empowered DPO optimization strategy specifically tailored for flow-based generative models. Experiments on benchmark VGGSound dataset demonstrate that human-preference aligned Frieren and MMAudio using V2A-DPO outperform their counterparts optimized using Denoising Diffusion Policy Optimization (DDPO) as well as pre-trained baselines. Furthermore, our DPO-optimized MMAudio achieves state-of-the-art performance across multiple metrics, surpassing published V2A models.

ID-LoRA: Identity-Driven Audio-Video Personalization with In-Context LoRA

Existing video personalization methods preserve visual likeness but treat video and audio separately. Without access to the visual scene, audio models cannot synchronize sounds with on-screen actions; and because classical voice-cloning models condition only on a reference recording, a text prompt cannot redirect speaking style or acoustic environment. We propose ID-LoRA (Identity-Driven In-Context LoRA), which jointly generates a subject's appearance and voice in a single model, letting a text prompt, a reference image, and a short audio clip govern both modalities together. ID-LoRA adapts the LTX-2 joint audio-video diffusion backbone via parameter-efficient In-Context LoRA and, to our knowledge, is the first method to personalize visual appearance and voice in a single generative pass. Two challenges arise. Reference and generation tokens share the same positional-encoding space, making them hard to distinguish; we address this with negative temporal positions, placing reference tokens in a disjoint RoPE region while preserving their internal temporal structure. Speaker characteristics also tend to be diluted during denoising; we introduce identity guidance, a classifier-free guidance variant that amplifies speaker-specific features by contrasting predictions with and without the reference signal. In human preference studies, ID-LoRA is preferred over Kling 2.6 Pro by 73% of annotators for voice similarity and 65% for speaking style. On cross-environment settings, speaker similarity improves by 24% over Kling, with the gap widening as conditions diverge. A preliminary user study further suggests that joint generation provides a useful inductive bias for physically grounded sound synthesis. ID-LoRA achieves these results with only ~3K training pairs on a single GPU. Code, models, and data will be released.

Foley-Flow: Coordinated Video-to-Audio Generation with Masked Audio-Visual Alignment and Dynamic Conditional Flows

Coordinated audio generation based on video inputs typically requires a strict audio-visual (AV) alignment, where both semantics and rhythmics of the generated audio segments shall correspond to those in the video frames. Previous studies leverage a two-stage design where the AV encoders are firstly aligned via contrastive learning, then the encoded video representations guide the audio generation process. We observe that both contrastive learning and global video guidance are effective in aligning overall AV semantics while limiting temporally rhythmic synchronization. In this work, we propose FoleyFlow to first align unimodal AV encoders via masked modeling training, where the masked audio segments are recovered under the guidance of the corresponding video segments. After training, the AV encoders which are separately pretrained using only unimodal data are aligned with semantic and rhythmic consistency. Then, we develop a dynamic conditional flow for the final audio generation. Built upon the efficient velocity flow generation framework, our dynamic conditional flow utilizes temporally varying video features as the dynamic condition to guide corresponding audio segment generations. To this end, we extract coherent semantic and rhythmic representations during masked AV alignment, and use this representation of video segments to guide audio generation temporally. Our audio results are evaluated on the standard benchmarks and largely surpass existing results under several metrics. The superior performance indicates that FoleyFlow is effective in generating coordinated audios that are both semantically and rhythmically coherent to various video sequences.

mAVE: A Watermark for Joint Audio-Visual Generation Models

Watermarking joint audio-visual generation supports vendor copyright protection and content provenance. However, independently valid audio and video watermarks do not establish a shared generation session. An adversary can splice watermarked modalities from different sessions, causing the pair to be mistaken for the vendor's original joint output. We introduce mAVE (Manifold Audio-Visual Entanglement), a training-free watermarking framework that strengthens vendor attribution through session binding in native joint audio-visual diffusion transformers. mAVE separates public record retrieval from secret session authentication: a fixed public index locates the server record, while a randomized payload binds audio bits to a session-keyed video grid through a cryptographic digest. One prompt-conditioned joint inversion supports provider-assisted verification of both modalities against a session record, without modifying generator weights or training auxiliary watermark networks. Our analysis establishes implementation-matched distribution preservation and a full-initialization routing/clipping budget, alongside adaptive session-pool security and stable local-perturbation bounds. Experiments on LTX-2 and MOVA show comparable generation quality. mAVE achieves 99.8% true-positive rate and 0% observed false-positive rate in the evaluated swap test, and retains 99.2% true-positive rate under FrameAvg temporal averaging. Same-prompt and similarity-selected swaps further test session authentication beyond perceptual compatibility.

UniTalking: A Unified Audio-Video Framework for Talking Portrait Generation

While state-of-the-art audio-video generation models like Veo3 and Sora2 demonstrate remarkable capabilities, their closed-source nature makes their architectures and training paradigms inaccessible. To bridge this gap in accessibility and performance, we introduce UniTalking, a unified, end-to-end diffusion framework for generating high-fidelity speech and lip-synchronized video. At its core, our framework employs Multi-Modal Transformer Blocks to explicitly model the fine-grained temporal correspondence between audio and video latent tokens via a shared self-attention mechanism. By leveraging powerful priors from a pre-trained video generation model, our framework ensures state-of-the-art visual fidelity while enabling efficient training. Furthermore, UniTalking incorporates a personalized voice cloning capability, allowing the generation of speech in a target style from a brief audio reference. Qualitative and quantitative results demonstrate that our method produces highly realistic talking portraits, achieving superior performance over existing open-source approaches in lip-sync accuracy, audio naturalness, and overall perceptual quality.

FlowPortrait: Reinforcement Learning for Audio-Driven Portrait Video Generation

Generating realistic talking-head videos remains challenging due to persistent issues such as imperfect lip synchronization, unnatural motion, and evaluation metrics that correlate poorly with human perception. We propose FlowPortrait, a reinforcement-learning framework for audio-driven portrait animation built on a multimodal backbone for autoregressive audio-to-video generation. FlowPortrait introduces a human-aligned evaluation system based on Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs) to assess lip-sync accuracy, expressiveness, and motion quality. These signals are combined with perceptual and temporal consistency regularizers to form a stable composite reward, which is used to post-train the generator via Group Relative Policy Optimization (GRPO). Extensive experiments, including both automatic evaluations and human preference studies, demonstrate that FlowPortrait consistently produces higher-quality talking-head videos, highlighting the effectiveness of reinforcement learning for portrait animation.

SkyReels-V4: Multi-modal Video-Audio Generation, Inpainting and Editing model

SkyReels V4 is a unified multi modal video foundation model for joint video audio generation, inpainting, and editing. The model adopts a dual stream Multimodal Diffusion Transformer (MMDiT) architecture, where one branch synthesizes video and the other generates temporally aligned audio, while sharing a powerful text encoder based on the Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLM). SkyReels V4 accepts rich multi modal instructions, including text, images, video clips, masks, and audio references. By combining the MLLMs multi modal instruction following capability with in context learning in the video branch MMDiT, the model can inject fine grained visual guidance under complex conditioning, while the audio branch MMDiT simultaneously leverages audio references to guide sound generation. On the video side, we adopt a channel concatenation formulation that unifies a wide range of inpainting style tasks, such as image to video, video extension, and video editing under a single interface, and naturally extends to vision referenced inpainting and editing via multi modal prompts. SkyReels V4 supports up to 1080p resolution, 32 FPS, and 15 second duration, enabling high fidelity, multi shot, cinema level video generation with synchronized audio. To make such high resolution, long-duration generation computationally feasible, we introduce an efficiency strategy: Joint generation of low resolution full sequences and high-resolution keyframes, followed by dedicated super-resolution and frame interpolation models. To our knowledge, SkyReels V4 is the first video foundation model that simultaneously supports multi-modal input, joint video audio generation, and a unified treatment of generation, inpainting, and editing, while maintaining strong efficiency and quality at cinematic resolutions and durations.

Echoes Over Time: Unlocking Length Generalization in Video-to-Audio Generation Models

Scaling multimodal alignment between video and audio is challenging, particularly due to limited data and the mismatch between text descriptions and frame-level video information. In this work, we tackle the scaling challenge in multimodal-to-audio generation, examining whether models trained on short instances can generalize to longer ones during testing. To tackle this challenge, we present multimodal hierarchical networks so-called MMHNet, an enhanced extension of state-of-the-art video-to-audio models. Our approach integrates a hierarchical method and non-causal Mamba to support long-form audio generation. Our proposed method significantly improves long audio generation up to more than 5 minutes. We also prove that training short and testing long is possible in the video-to-audio generation tasks without training on the longer durations. We show in our experiments that our proposed method could achieve remarkable results on long-video to audio benchmarks, beating prior works in video-to-audio tasks. Moreover, we showcase our model capability in generating more than 5 minutes, while prior video-to-audio methods fall short in generating with long durations.

JavisDiT++: Unified Modeling and Optimization for Joint Audio-Video Generation

AIGC has rapidly expanded from text-to-image generation toward high-quality multimodal synthesis across video and audio. Within this context, joint audio-video generation (JAVG) has emerged as a fundamental task that produces synchronized and semantically aligned sound and vision from textual descriptions. However, compared with advanced commercial models such as Veo3, existing open-source methods still suffer from limitations in generation quality, temporal synchrony, and alignment with human preferences. To bridge the gap, this paper presents JavisDiT++, a concise yet powerful framework for unified modeling and optimization of JAVG. First, we introduce a modality-specific mixture-of-experts (MS-MoE) design that enables cross-modal interaction efficacy while enhancing single-modal generation quality. Then, we propose a temporal-aligned RoPE (TA-RoPE) strategy to achieve explicit, frame-level synchronization between audio and video tokens. Besides, we develop an audio-video direct preference optimization (AV-DPO) method to align model outputs with human preference across quality, consistency, and synchrony dimensions. Built upon Wan2.1-1.3B-T2V, our model achieves state-of-the-art performance merely with around 1M public training entries, significantly outperforming prior approaches in both qualitative and quantitative evaluations. Comprehensive ablation studies have been conducted to validate the effectiveness of our proposed modules. All the code, model, and dataset are released at https://JavisVerse.github.io/JavisDiT2-page.
