Abstract

Estimating the 6D pose of objects from a single RGB image is a critical task for robotics and extended reality applications. However, state-of-the-art multi stage methods often suffer from high latency, making them unsuitable for real time use. In this paper, we present Yolo-Key-6D, a novel single stage, end-to-end framework for monocular 6D pose estimation designed for both speed and accuracy. Our approach enhances a YOLO based architecture by integrating an auxiliary head that regresses the 2D projections of an object's 3D bounding box corners. This keypoint detection task significantly improves the network's understanding of 3D geometry. For stable end-to-end training, we directly regress rotation using a continuous 9D representation projected to SO(3) via singular value decomposition. On the LINEMOD and LINEMOD-Occluded benchmarks, YOLO-Key-6D achieves competitive accuracy scores of 96.24% and 69.41%, respectively, with the ADD(-S) 0.1d metric, while proving itself to operate in real time. Our results demonstrate that a carefully designed single stage method can provide a practical and effective balance of performance and efficiency for real world deployment.

TinyDETR-Pose: Towards End-to-End Real-Time Single-Stage 6DoF Object Pose Estimation with Lightweight Transformers

Real-time 6DoF object pose estimation on resource-constrained hardware remains challenging, as accurate correspondence-based and refinement pipelines typically rely on non-differentiable PnP/RANSAC stages or costly iterative refinement, while recent foundation-model-based approaches incur inference costs that are prohibitive for edge deployment. We present TinyDETR-Pose, a lightweight, end-to-end, single-stage framework that jointly detects objects and regresses their full 6D pose in a single forward pass. Built on the efficient LW-DETR architecture, TinyDETR-Pose formulates detection and pose estimation as a set-prediction problem and attaches dedicated MLP heads for rotation, monocular depth, and projected object center regression to each decoder query, eliminating the need for PnP, NMS (non-maximum suppression), or iterative pose refinement. Object symmetries are handled through a ADD-S loss applied uniformly to all objects, without the need for object-specific loss schedules or separate geodesic/ADD supervision. In addition, predictions are assigned to ground truth using a symmetry-safe Hungarian matcher based on class and 2D spatial cues, yielding stable assignment under symmetry and depth ambiguity. On YCB-V, TinyDETR-Pose achieves a comparable ADD-S AUC of 85.9, while requiring up to 72.7% fewer parameters than other DETR-based single-stage pose-estimation approaches. Due to its compact design, TinyDETR-Pose runs in real time and achieves an inference latency of only ~4.5 ms per frame on an NVIDIA Jetson Nano using TensorRT, demonstrating that accurate end-to-end transformer-based 6D pose estimation can be made practical for edge deployment.

6D Pose Estimation via Keypoint Heatmap Regression with RGB-D Residual Neural Networks

In this paper, we propose a modular framework for 6D pose estimation based on keypoint heatmap regression. Our approach combines YOLOv10m for object detection with a ResNet18-based network that predicts 2D heatmaps from RGB images. Keypoints extracted from these heatmaps are used to estimate the 6D object pose via the PnP RANSAC algorithm. We compare different keypoint selection strategies to assess their impact on pose accuracy. Additionally, we extend the baseline by incorporating depth data using a cross-fusion architecture, which enables interaction between RGB and depth features at multiple stages. We further explore general training improvements, such as experimenting with activation functions and learning rate scheduling strategies to improve model performance. Our best RGB-only model achieved a mean ADD-based accuracy of 84.50%, while the RGB-D fusion model reached 92.41% on the LINEMOD dataset. OneViewAll: Semantic Prior Guided One-View 6D Pose Estimation for Novel Objects

In many practical 6D object pose estimation scenarios, we often have access to only a single real-world RGB-D reference view per object, typically without CAD models. Existing methods largely rely on explicit 3D models or multi-view data, which limits their scalability. To address this challenging single-reference model-free setting, we propose OneViewAll, a semantic-prior-guided framework that performs pose estimation via a novel Project-and-Compare paradigm. Instead of relying on computationally expensive CAD-based rendering, our method directly aligns reference and query observations within a projection-equivariant space. OneViewAll progressively integrates hierarchical semantic priors across three levels: (1) category- and scene-level priors for efficient hypothesis initialization; (2) object-level symmetry priors for geometry completion via mirror fusion; and (3) patch-level priors for discriminative refinement. Extensive experiments demonstrate that OneViewAll achieves 92.5% ADD-0.1 accuracy on the LINEMOD dataset using only one real reference view -- significantly outperforming the CVPR 2025 baseline One2Any (52.6%). It also yields consistent improvements on YCB-V, Real275, and Toyota-Light while maintaining low inference latency. Our results underscore the efficacy of symmetry-aware projection in handling symmetric, texture-less, and occluded objects.
