Abstract

Cooperative perception significantly enhances scene understanding by integrating complementary information from diverse agents. However, existing research often overlooks critical challenges inherent in real-world multi-source data integration, specifically high temporal latency and multi-source noise. To address these practical limitations, we propose Collaborative Alignment and Transformation Network (CATNet), an adaptive compensation framework that resolves temporal latency and noise interference in multi-agent systems. Our key innovations can be summarized in three aspects. First, we introduce a Spatio-Temporal Recurrent Synchronization (STSync) that aligns asynchronous feature streams via adjacent-frame differential modeling, establishing a temporal-spatially unified representation space. Second, we design a Dual-Branch Wavelet Enhanced Denoiser (WTDen) that suppresses global noise and reconstructs localized feature distortions within aligned representations. Third, we construct an Adaptive Feature Selector (AdpSel) that dynamically focuses on critical perceptual features for robust fusion. Extensive experiments on multiple datasets demonstrate that CATNet consistently outperforms existing methods under complex traffic conditions, proving its superior robustness and adaptability.

CoAnchor: Robust Collaborative Perception under Spatio-Temporal Misalignment via Object-Level Anchors

Collaborative perception extends the sensing range of a single vehicle by fusing observations from nearby agents, which improves the robustness of autonomous driving. In realistic deployments, however, the received collaborator messages are often affected by both communication delay and relative-pose noise, which jointly cause stale observations, spatial misalignment, and unstable feature fusion. Existing methods usually address these issues from either the spatial or temporal side, but handling them jointly in a unified and efficient manner remains challenging. In this paper, we propose CoAnchor, an anchor-centric spatio-temporal alignment framework for asynchronous collaborative perception. Instead of directly reasoning on dense BEV features, CoAnchor builds sparse object-level spatio-temporal anchors as a shared interface for pose correction and tightly connects spatial refinement, temporal propagation, and current-time verification within one unified loop, while keeping the overall correction process lightweight. Extensive experiments on both simulated and real-world datasets illustrate that CoAnchor remains competitive under clean settings and improves the robustness under joint delay and pose perturbations with a favorable practical accuracy-efficiency trade-off.

GT-Space: Enhancing Heterogeneous Collaborative Perception with Ground Truth Feature Space

In autonomous driving, multi-agent collaborative perception enhances sensing capabilities by enabling agents to share perceptual data. A key challenge lies in handling {\em heterogeneous} features from agents equipped with different sensing modalities or model architectures, which complicates data fusion. Existing approaches often require retraining encoders or designing interpreter modules for pairwise feature alignment, but these solutions are not scalable in practice. To address this, we propose {\em GT-Space}, a flexible and scalable collaborative perception framework for heterogeneous agents. GT-Space constructs a common feature space from ground-truth labels, providing a unified reference for feature alignment. With this shared space, agents only need a single adapter module to project their features, eliminating the need for pairwise interactions with other agents. Furthermore, we design a fusion network trained with contrastive losses across diverse modality combinations. Extensive experiments on simulation datasets (OPV2V and V2XSet) and a real-world dataset (RCooper) demonstrate that GT-Space consistently outperforms baselines in detection accuracy while delivering robust performance. Our code will be released at https://github.com/KingScar/GT-Space.

UECP: Uncertainty-Enhanced Collaborative Perception

Collaborative perception serves as a pivotal solution to enhance the perception capability of individual agents in autonomous driving, where a core challenge lies in seeking reliable evidence to quantify and weight the contribution of each participating agent. Existing methods typically rely on a confidence map, which is co-trained with the detection head, but it is inherently correlated with the detection results and thus fails to provide unbiased physical evidence. Furthermore, how to deeply integrate evidence into the cooperative fusion process remains an open question. To address these issues, this paper first proposes an uncertainty map, a physically grounded and unambiguous metric for evaluating perception quality. This map is directly supervised by real-time sensor signals, i.e., LiDAR point density, ensuring decoupling from detection noise and thereby providing physical scenario-aware evidence for weighting agent contribution. Based on this map, we develop the Uncertainty-Enhanced Collaborative Perception (UECP) framework, centered on the Uncertainty-Aware Pyramid Fusion (UAPF) module. UAPF uses a coarse-to-fine strategy, with two key components: Uncertainty-Weighted Downsampling (UWD) for high-fidelity feature preservation, and Uncertainty-Guided Residual Fusion (UGRF) to reinforce ego features, suppressing noise and ensuring robust fusion. Extensive experiments on real-world datasets show UECP outperforms state-of-the-art methods in effectiveness and robustness by embedding the uncertainty map into fusion. Code will be publicly available.
