Abstract

Dexterous grasping in multi-object scene constitutes a fundamental challenge in robotic manipulation. Current mainstream grasping datasets predominantly focus on single-object scenarios and predefined grasp configurations, often neglecting environmental interference and the modeling of dexterous pre-grasp gesture, thereby limiting their generalizability in real-world applications. To address this, we propose DGS-Net, an end-to-end grasp prediction network capable of learning dense grasp configurations from single-view point clouds in multi-object scene. Furthermore, we propose a two-stage grasp data generation strategy that progresses from dense single-object grasp synthesis to dense scene-level grasp generation. Our dataset comprises 307 objects, 240 multi-object scenes, and over 350k validated grasps. By explicitly modeling grasp offsets and pre-grasp configurations, the dataset provides more robust and accurate supervision for dexterous grasp learning. Experimental results show that DGS-Net achieves grasp success rates of 88.63% in simulation and 78.98% on a real robotic platform, while exhibiting lower penetration with a mean penetration depth of 0.375 mm and penetration volume of 559.45 mm^3, outperforming existing methods and demonstrating strong effectiveness and generalization capability. GOAG: Generative and Object-Agnostic Grasp Planner for Dexterous Robotic Manipulation

Multifingered grasping is a crucial robotic skill, but current deep-learning grasp planners often struggle to generalize to new objects because they are trained on limited, object-specific datasets. We introduce a fundamentally different approach, grounded in the observation that the gripper and the object share identical surface geometry at their mutual contact points. We propose GOAG: Generative and Object-Agnostic Grasp Planner for Dexterous Robotic Manipulation, a novel deep generative model that learns a compact latent representation of a specific gripper's contact surface distribution, enabling the efficient sampling of valid grasp configurations without relying on object-specific training data. We show that by introducing object features only at inference time, our model can effectively retrieve admissible contact areas that are compatible with the gripper's capabilities. We validate our approach through extensive experiments on established grasp protocols in both simulated and real-world scenarios, demonstrating its effectiveness with different grippers from the literature. Our method delivers state-of-the-art results on the objects from the MultiDex dataset, achieving an average success rate of 86.93%. It offers significantly faster processing when generating numerous grasps, while matching the performance of leading approaches specifically trained on this dataset. Unlike these methods, our approach does not rely on object-specific training data, highlighting the advantages of object-agnostic learning. It effectively addresses the generalization challenges faced by traditional data-driven grasp planners. Code and videos are available on our project website https://cea-list.github.io/goagweb/ .

OmniDex: Scaling Dexterous Hand Grasping to Diverse Cluttered Scenes

Dexterous grasping is the foundational primitive in embodied AI, demanding massive data to train robust models. As real-world data collection is expensive, simulation has become the mainstream paradigm. Yet, while cluttered scenes best reflect real-world applications, learning to grasp within them is bottlenecked by a critical scarcity of large-scale data. To resolve this, we curate high-quality 3D objects and supporting bases, proposing a scalable seed-and-filter strategy that bypasses sluggish scene-level optimization. This yields an unprecedented benchmark comprising over 2.6 million scenes and 0.4B scene-specific grasp ground truths, featuring diverse realistic layouts paired with rich semantic and geometric observations. Furthermore, we introduce the OmniDex model to overcome the grasp multimodality and last-millimeter precision errors plaguing current generative models. By coupling Soft Winner-Takes-All learning with human-inspired physical constraints during training, and utilizing physics-driven ranking, our approach achieves robust dexterous grasping without the latency of post-optimization. Experimental results show that OmniDex model achieves state-of-the-art performance and strong generalization across diverse scenes, views, and unseen objects.

BiDexGrasp: Coordinated Bimanual Dexterous Grasps across Object Geometries and Sizes

Bimanual dexterous grasping is a fundamental and promising area in robotics, yet its progress is constrained by the lack of comprehensive datasets and powerful generation models. In this work, we propose BiDexGrasp, consisting of a large-scale bimanual dexterous grasp dataset and a novel learning-based framework. For dataset construction, we propose a novel bimanual grasp synthesis pipeline to efficiently annotate physically feasible data. This pipeline addresses the challenges of high-dimensional bimanual grasping through a two-stage synthesis strategy of efficient region-based grasp initialization and decoupled force-closure grasp optimization. Powered by this pipeline, we construct a large-scale bimanual dexterous grasp dataset, comprising 6351 diverse objects with sizes ranging from 30 to 80 cm, along with 9.53 million annotated grasp data. Based on this dataset, we further introduce a novel learning-based dexterous grasping generation framework. The framework lies in two key designs: a bimanual coordination module and a geometry-size-adaptive grasp generation strategy to generate coordinated and high-quality grasps on unseen objects. Extensive experiments conducted in both simulation and real world demonstrate the superior performance of our proposed data synthesis pipeline and learned generative framework.
