Abstract

Recent generative models have shown strong performance in generating diverse 3D assets from 2D images, a fundamental research topic in computer vision and graphics. However, these models still struggle to generate voluminous 3D assets when the input is a flat image that provides limited 3D cues. We introduce REVIVE 3D, a two-stage, plug-and-play pipeline for generating voluminous 3D assets from flat images. In Stage 1, we construct an Inflated Prior by inflating the foreground silhouette to recover global volume and superimposing part-aware details to capture local structure. In Stage 2, 3D Latent Refinement injects Gaussian noise into the Inflated Prior's latent and then denoises it, using the prior's geometric cues to leverage the backbone's pretrained 3D knowledge. Furthermore, our framework supports image-conditioned 3D editing. To quantify volume and surface flatness, we propose Compactness and Normal Anisotropy. We validate Compactness and Normal Anisotropy through a user study, showing that these metrics align with human perception of volume and quality. We show that REVIVE 3D achieves state-of-the-art performance on a challenging flat image dataset, based on extensive qualitative and quantitative evaluations.

VolFill: Single-View Amodal 3D Scene Reconstruction with Volumetric Flow Matching

Reconstructing the complete geometry of a scene from a single RGB image remains challenging - especially when inferring hidden structures where visual evidence is incomplete. We introduce VolFill, a generative framework that predicts the 3D structure of the complete scene rather than relying on traditional pixel-aligned regression. Our method utilizes a hybrid 3D VAE to compress sparse truncated unsigned distance function grids into a compact latent space, paired with a latent Diffusion Transformer that denoises this representation to recover the complete scene. We condition the generation on geometry foundation models, leveraging rich spatial priors for robust reasoning. Unlike existing methods limited by per-ray constraints or unstructured point-cloud queries, VolFill provides a structured representation that supports direct surface extraction and occupancy queries at scale. Extensive experiments on the SCRREAM and NRGB-D datasets demonstrate that our approach significantly outperforms current baselines, providing a robust foundation for holistic spatial understanding.

Pixal3D: Pixel-Aligned 3D Generation from Images

Recent advances in 3D generative models have rapidly improved image-to-3D synthesis quality, enabling higher-resolution geometry and more realistic appearance. Yet fidelity, which measures pixel-level faithfulness of the generated 3D asset to the input image, still remains a central bottleneck. We argue this stems from an implicit 2D-3D correspondence issue: most 3D-native generators synthesize shape in canonical space and inject image cues via attention, leaving pixel-to-3D associations ambiguous. To tackle this issue, we draw inspiration from 3D reconstruction and propose Pixal3D, a pixel-aligned 3D generation paradigm for high-fidelity 3D asset creation from images. Instead of generating in a canonical pose, Pixal3D directly generates 3D in a pixel-aligned way, consistent with the input view. To enable this, we introduce a pixel back-projection conditioning scheme that explicitly lifts multi-scale image features into a 3D feature volume, establishing direct pixel-to-3D correspondence without ambiguity. We show that Pixal3D is not only scalable and capable of producing high-quality 3D assets, but also substantially improves fidelity, approaching the fidelity level of reconstruction. Furthermore, Pixal3D naturally extends to multi-view generation by aggregating back-projected feature volumes across views. Finally, we show pixel-aligned generation benefits scene synthesis, and present a modular pipeline that produces high-fidelity, object-separated 3D scenes from images. Pixal3D for the first time demonstrates 3D-native pixel-aligned generation at scale, and provides a new inspiring way towards high-fidelity 3D generation of object or scene from single or multi-view images. FLUX3D: High-Fidelity 3D Gaussian Generation with Diffusion-Aligned Sparse Representation

Sparse voxel representation has emerged as a scalable foundation for image-to-3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) generation, yet current methods struggle to preserve high-frequency visual details of input images due to two structural bottlenecks. First, they adopt discriminative 2D features optimized for semantic abstraction to construct sparse voxel latents, which suppress reconstructive cues and induce a representation bottleneck. Second, in the generation stage, standard diffusion transformers lack effective mechanisms to align dense 2D image tokens with sparse 3D voxel latents, resulting in a cross-modal correspondence bottleneck. To address these issues, we propose FLUX3D, a scalable image-to-3DGS framework that boosts both representation learning and cross-modal alignment during generation. We first revisit 2D feature selection for sparse-voxel-based 3D representation learning, propose Diffusion-Aligned Structured Latents (DA-SLAT) and couple it with a decoder-only architecture to improve 3DGS reconstruction fidelity. We also design a sparse-structure-aware diffusion framework, which integrates the Sparse-structure Multimodal Diffusion Transformer (SMDiT) and Modal-Aware Rotary Positional Embedding (MARoPE) to achieve geometry-agnostic 2D-3D alignment. Extensive benchmark experiments demonstrate that FLUX3D yields substantial improvements in appearance fidelity and significantly outperforms all state-of-the-art (SOTA) methods in generating high-quality 3DGS assets.
