Abstract

Over a century ago, Henri Poincaré argued that a motionless observer cannot acquire the notion of space. Yet, most visual representation learning methods operate on individual images, while those that leverage multiple views rely on RGB reconstruction, entangling geometry with appearance. We propose Poincar3, a self-supervised method that learns representations from multiple views through self-distillation instead of RGB reconstruction. We combine masked patch and image-level distillation with a teacher that observes additional views, enabling training from scratch without explicit 3D supervision. Poincar3 outperforms both previous single and multi-view self-supervised approaches such as DINOv3, MuM, and Muskie on correspondence estimation, camera pose estimation, and 3D reconstruction. Using a lightweight Poincaré adapter, we also find that our learned features encode camera motion more accurately than existing self-supervised representations.

DisPOSE: Projected Polystochastic Diffusion for Self-Supervised Multi-View 3D Human Pose Estimation

Recovering 3D human poses for multiple individuals from different camera views is a fundamental bottleneck for analyzing interacting behaviors. Existing self-supervised approaches leverage synthetic catalogues of 3D poses; however, this leads to poor generalization in real-world scenarios due to distribution shifts. We therefore introduce DisPOSE, a self-supervised framework that approximates the inherently discrete multi-view person-assignment problem as a generative diffusion process over the space of polystochastic tensors. By employing differentiable Sinkhorn projections during denoising, our model learns to guide solutions toward valid and feasible assignments based on 2D image priors. The complete 3D skeletons of localized individuals are then regressed using a Hypergraph-Convolutional Decoder that explicitly models relational structures and articulated joints across multiple views. The proposed approach outperforms current state-of-the-art self-supervised methods on standard datasets and demonstrates strong performance on a newly proposed benchmark featuring highly occluded scenes from surgical operating rooms. Our diffusion-based localization demonstrates high label efficiency, retaining 99% of its performance with only 10% of the pseudo-labels. Notably, disentangling the assignment and root regression components while maintaining differentiability makes DisPOSE nearly agnostic to different camera arrangements.

Geometry-Aware Representation Denoising for Robust Multi-view 3D Reconstruction

Multi-view 3D reconstruction has achieved remarkable progress with the advent of feed-forward 3D reconstruction models. However, these models are typically trained and evaluated under ideal, degradation-free imaging conditions, whereas real-world observations often contain degradations that differ significantly from such settings. Improving robustness for multi-view 3D reconstruction under degraded conditions therefore remains an important challenge. We present Geometry-Aware Representation Denoising (GARD), a novel framework that performs diffusion-based multi-view restoration directly in the feature space of a feed-forward 3D reconstruction model. This design exploits the geometry-aware feature representations of the 3D reconstructor to effectively recover accurate scene geometry. Furthermore, by employing an additional RGB image decoder, the refined representations can also be used to restore high-quality RGB images, thereby enabling the simultaneous recovery of 3D scene geometry and high-quality imagery. Comprehensive experiments on the Depth Anything 3 (DA3) benchmark demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed GARD framework.

DINOcular: Self-Supervised Visuospatial Representations

We introduce a self-supervised framework for learning joint visuospatial representations from RGB-D observations. While modern vision foundation models are trained almost exclusively on RGB images, many embodied systems have access to explicit depth sensing, which provides geometric information that monocular inputs cannot recover. Our method integrates depth-derived geometric priors with a visual backbone through inter-patch and intra-patch fusion, enabling the model to encode both appearance and spatial structure efficiently. The resulting representation shows promising improvements on 3D awareness while preserving semantic transfer: it outperforms prior methods of comparable scale on multiple 3D geometry benchmarks, and remains competitive when probed for standard RGB-D semantic segmentation tasks.
