BiOmedical Ontology
Biomedical ontologies are structured representations of medical knowledge, aiming to improve data interoperability and facilitate knowledge discovery in healthcare. Current research focuses on integrating these ontologies with large language models (LLMs) and other deep learning architectures like BERT, to enhance tasks such as clinical text analysis, entity linking, and medication recommendation. This integration leverages the LLMs' ability to process unstructured text and the ontologies' structured knowledge to improve accuracy, explainability, and efficiency in various applications, ultimately impacting clinical decision support and biomedical research.
