Counseling Component
Research on the counseling component focuses on leveraging large language models (LLMs) to enhance various aspects of mental health support, including session summarization, real-time evaluation, and even the provision of empathetic responses. Current efforts concentrate on developing and refining LLMs, often using specialized training data and architectures tailored to the nuances of therapeutic conversations, to improve accuracy and effectiveness in these tasks. This work holds significant promise for increasing access to mental healthcare, improving the efficiency of counselor workflows, and providing valuable tools for training and supervision.
