Counseling Dataset
Counseling datasets are crucial for advancing research on psychotherapy and developing AI-powered mental health tools. Current research focuses on creating large, diverse datasets representing real-world counseling interactions, often annotated with features like speaker intensity, cognitive distortions, and therapeutic alliance, and utilizing these datasets to train and evaluate large language models (LLMs) for automated counseling support and evaluation. This work holds significant potential for improving the accessibility, quality, and efficiency of mental health services, both through enhanced training for human counselors and the development of AI-assisted interventions.
