Event Related Potential
Event-related potentials (ERPs) are measurable brain responses to specific stimuli, offering insights into cognitive processes like language comprehension and error detection. Current research focuses on improving ERP-based brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) using advanced machine learning techniques, such as deep convolutional neural networks and Bayesian models, to enhance signal processing and classification accuracy, particularly for single-trial analysis. This work is significant for advancing both our understanding of brain function and for developing more effective BCIs for individuals with communication impairments, as well as for applications in clinical diagnostics and neuro-steered assistive technologies.
