Current efforts leverage deep learning models, including diffusion models and GANs, often incorporating techniques like multi-view consistency, neural radiance fields (NeRFs), and 3D Morphable Models (3DMMs) to achieve photorealism and accurate expression capture. This field is significant for applications ranging from virtual and augmented reality to behavioral studies and animation, offering advancements in both computer graphics and human-computer interaction.
