Human Level Creativity
Research on human-level creativity focuses on defining and measuring creativity, both in humans and artificial intelligence (AI), particularly large language models (LLMs). Current efforts involve developing metrics to quantify creativity, exploring how collaborative human-AI systems can enhance creative processes (e.g., in comic generation and music composition), and investigating the role of associative thinking and other cognitive strategies in boosting creative output. These studies aim to understand the nature of creativity, assess the capabilities of AI in creative tasks, and ultimately inform the design of AI systems that effectively augment, rather than replace, human creativity.
