Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy
Intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) aims to precisely deliver radiation to cancerous tumors while minimizing damage to surrounding healthy tissue. Current research heavily focuses on automating IMRT treatment planning, employing deep learning models like U-Nets, graph neural networks, and reinforcement learning algorithms to optimize dose delivery and reduce planning time. These advancements leverage advanced image segmentation techniques and incorporate large language models for improved human-AI collaboration. Ultimately, these efforts aim to improve treatment efficacy, reduce treatment times, and increase the accessibility and reproducibility of IMRT for cancer patients.
