Mainstream Medium
Mainstream media analysis focuses on understanding how dominant news outlets select and frame information, impacting public perception and behavior. Current research employs computational methods, such as natural language processing and sentiment analysis, to quantify framing biases, investigating how these biases affect the representation of various topics, including economic indicators, health issues, and technological advancements like AI chatbots. This work reveals how subtle differences in framing, even within seemingly objective reporting, can significantly influence public understanding and potentially shape policy and societal responses.
