Micro CT Image
Micro-CT imaging produces high-resolution 3D images of internal structures, crucial for various scientific fields. Current research heavily focuses on improving image quality by mitigating artifacts like ring artifacts using deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks (CNNs) such as U-Net architectures, and enhancing segmentation accuracy for complex structures like bone and vasculature through techniques like support vector machines (SVMs) and advanced image processing methods. These advancements enable more precise quantitative analysis of microstructures, impacting fields ranging from materials science (e.g., composite modeling) to biomedical research (e.g., assessing bone growth and vascular branching).
