Robot Intent
Robot intent communication focuses on enabling robots to effectively convey their planned actions and goals to human collaborators, improving safety, efficiency, and trust in human-robot interaction. Current research explores various methods for communicating intent, including visual cues (static and dynamic), haptic feedback, and mixed reality interfaces, often employing information-theoretic analyses to quantify effectiveness. These efforts aim to develop robust models and algorithms that facilitate intuitive understanding of robot behavior, impacting fields like collaborative robotics and human-robot teamwork.
