Semantic Interoperability
Semantic interoperability focuses on enabling seamless communication and data exchange between diverse systems by aligning their meanings and interpretations. Current research emphasizes using ontologies and knowledge graphs, often coupled with machine learning techniques like knowledge graph embeddings and large language models, to achieve this alignment, particularly within the contexts of healthcare, digital twins, and building energy management. This work is crucial for facilitating data integration across disparate sources, improving data accessibility and analysis, and ultimately driving advancements in various scientific fields and practical applications.
