Total Knee Arthroplasty
Total knee arthroplasty (TKA), the surgical replacement of a damaged knee joint, aims to alleviate pain and restore mobility. Current research emphasizes improving TKA precision and personalization through advanced imaging analysis and surgical robotics, employing deep learning models (e.g., convolutional neural networks, graph convolutional neural networks) for tasks such as automated implant design, precise bone segmentation from X-rays and CT scans, and real-time intraoperative guidance. These advancements promise to enhance surgical accuracy, reduce invasiveness, and ultimately improve patient outcomes by optimizing implant fit and surgical planning.
