Visible Light Positioning
Visible Light Positioning (VLP) uses light sources to determine the location of devices indoors, aiming for high-accuracy localization. Current research focuses on improving accuracy by addressing challenges like varying light incidence angles and signal blockages through techniques such as tightly-coupled integration with inertial navigation systems and advanced signal processing like using artificial neural networks to interpret optical channel impulse responses. Cooperative VLP systems leveraging federated learning are also being developed to enhance performance in dynamic environments while preserving user privacy, demonstrating the potential for VLP in diverse applications like multi-robot navigation.
