Abstract

Embodied Vision-Language Models (VLMs) have demonstrated impressive performance and generalization in robotics, particularly within Vision-Language-Action frameworks. However, a significant gap remains between the high-level semantic focus of standard text-guided pre-training paradigms and the low-level spatial and physical knowledge critical for execution in embodied environments. In this paper, we introduce GEM, a Generative-supervised Embodied vision-language Model designed to bridge this divide. We propose integrating a depth map generation task directly into the VLM pre-training phase. By training this generative objective jointly with the main model, we observe substantial improvements in embodied intelligence, significantly enhancing both semantic understanding and physical operation capabilities. To support this paradigm, we curate and release GEM-4M, a comprehensive large-scale dataset featuring a mixture of grounding, reasoning, and planning data paired with high-quality depth supervision. Extensive experiments demonstrate that GEM achieves state-of-the-art results across diverse embodied benchmarks. Furthermore, our deployed action model, GEM-VLA, exhibits vastly superior task execution abilities in both simulation environments and real-world evaluations. Embodied-R1.5: Evolving Physical Intelligence via Embodied Foundation Models

We introduce Embodied-R1.5, a unified Embodied Foundation Model (EFM) that integrates comprehensive embodied reasoning capabilities, spanning embodied cognition, task planning, correction, and pointing, within a single architecture toward general physical intelligence. Leveraging three automated data construction pipelines to significantly expand the data coverage of critical capabilities, we build a large-scale data system of over 15B tokens, and design a multi-task balanced RL recipe to alleviate heterogeneous task conflicts. We further introduce a Planner-Grounder-Corrector (PGC) closed-loop framework that enables a single model to autonomously execute and self-correct over long-horizon tasks. With only 8B parameters, Embodied-R1.5 achieves SOTA on 16 out of 24 embodied VLM benchmarks, surpassing leading models like Gemini-Robotics-ER-1.5 and GPT-5.4. Benefiting from the internalized embodied capabilities, Embodied-R1.5 can be fine-tuned into a VLA with only a small amount of data, outperforming leading VLA models like π0.5π_{0.5} across 4 popular manipulation benchmark suites. We further conduct extensive zero-shot real-robot experiments, validating performance in instruction following, affordance grounding, articulated object manipulation, and long-horizon complex tasks, demonstrating strong generalization to the physical world. We open-source model weights, datasets, training code, and EmbodiedEvalKit, an evaluation framework tailored for embodied tasks, to facilitate future research in EFMs.

Qwen-VLA: Unifying Vision-Language-Action Modeling across Tasks, Environments, and Robot Embodiments

Embodied intelligence is often studied through specialized models for individual tasks such as manipulation or navigation, resulting in fragmented capabilities and limited generalization across tasks, environments, and robot embodiments. In this work, we study whether heterogeneous embodied decision-making problems can be unified within a single vision-language-action model. We present Qwen-VLA, a unified embodied foundation model that extends Qwen's vision-language modeling stack from perception, understanding, and reasoning to continuous action and trajectory generation through a DiT-based action decoder. Qwen-VLA is trained with a large-scale joint pretraining recipe over diverse data sources, including robotics manipulation trajectories, human egocentric demonstrations, synthetic simulation data, vision-and-language navigation data, trajectory-centric supervision, and auxiliary vision-language data. To support multiple robot platforms, we introduce embodiment-aware prompt conditioning, where robot-specific textual descriptions specify the current embodiment and control convention. We further cast manipulation, navigation, and trajectory prediction into a unified action-and-trajectory prediction framework, enabling transferable visual grounding, spatial reasoning, and continuous action generation across robot morphologies, task families, and environments. Experiments on manipulation, navigation, and trajectory-centric benchmarks show consistent multi-task performance and out-of-distribution generalization under variations in scene layout, background, lighting, object configuration, and robot embodiment. Qwen-VLA-Instruct achieves 97.9% on LIBERO, 73.7% on Simpler-WidowX, 86.1%/87.2% on RoboTwin-Easy/Hard, 69.0% OSR on R2R, 59.6% SR on RxR, 76.9% average OOD success in real-world ALOHA experiments, and 26.6% zero-shot success on DOMINO dynamic manipulation.

XEmbodied: A Foundation Model with Enhanced Geometric and Physical Cues for Large-Scale Embodied Environments

Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models drive next-generation autonomous systems, but training them requires scalable, high-quality annotations from complex environments. Current cloud pipelines rely on generic vision-language models (VLMs) that lack geometric reasoning and domain semantics due to their 2D image-text pretraining. To address this mismatch, we propose XEmbodied, a cloud-side foundation model that endows VLMs with intrinsic 3D geometric awareness and interaction with physical cues (e.g., occupancy grids, 3D boxes). Instead of treating geometry as auxiliary input, XEmbodied integrates geometric representations via a structured 3D Adapter and distills physical signals into context tokens using an Efficient Image-Embodied Adapter. Through progressive domain curriculum and reinforcement learning post-training, XEmbodied preserves general capabilities while demonstrating robust performance across 18 public benchmarks. It significantly improves spatial reasoning, traffic semantics, embodied affordance, and out-of-distribution generalization for large-scale scenario mining and embodied VQA.
