Abstract

Embodied AI in the real world requires both accurate hardware and robust vision-language-action (VLA) policies. We present OpenEAI-Platform, a fully open-source platform that integrates a low-cost 6+1 degree-of-freedom (dof) robotic arm (OpenEAI-Arm) and a reproducible VLA model (OpenEAI-VLA). OpenEAI-Arm provides open-source mechanical designs for low manufacturing cost and compliant control methods for higher accuracy. OpenEAI-VLA builds on Qwen3-VL-4B and uses a Diffusion Transformer action head, and is trained in two stages with only open-source robot and multimodal datasets. Across four real-world manipulation tasks, OpenEAI-Arm outperforms two commercial 6+1-dof arms under the same policy, and OpenEAI-VLA achieves success rates comparable to the large-scale pretrained pi0 baseline with only limited pretraining data. We will release the full hardware designs, drivers, models, and training/data pipelines to support reproducible research and scalable data collection. Our codes, layouts, and models will be released after the paper is accepted.

Open-AoE: An Open Egocentric Manipulation Dataset and Toolchain for Embodied Learning

Egocentric videos of human manipulation provide scalable supervision for embodied intelligence, yet existing resources rarely combine low-cost continuous capture, manipulation-level structured annotations, and reusable tools for robot learning. We present Open-AoE, an open, community-oriented egocentric manipulation dataset and toolchain spanning the full pipeline from smartphone capture to model training. Its first release contains approximately 2,000 hours of manipulation video collected in natural environments by 500+ contributors using 400+ smartphones. The dataset provides text annotations, MANO-based hand poses, camera trajectories, and temporally localized atomic actions. Open-AoE further includes a data processing pipeline that transforms raw recordings into structured samples through temporal action segmentation, semantic annotation, hand reconstruction, and camera trajectory reconstruction. Meanwhile, we provide a separate downstream toolchain supports visualization, cross-embodiment retargeting, model-specific data conversion, and training recipes for VLA policies, WAMs, and World Models. By integrating scalable capture, structured processing, and downstream adaptation, Open-AoE reduces the barriers to both data contribution and reuse, providing practical open infrastructure for embodied model training, human-to-robot transfer, and world modeling.

Qwen-VLA: Unifying Vision-Language-Action Modeling across Tasks, Environments, and Robot Embodiments

Embodied intelligence is often studied through specialized models for individual tasks such as manipulation or navigation, resulting in fragmented capabilities and limited generalization across tasks, environments, and robot embodiments. In this work, we study whether heterogeneous embodied decision-making problems can be unified within a single vision-language-action model. We present Qwen-VLA, a unified embodied foundation model that extends Qwen's vision-language modeling stack from perception, understanding, and reasoning to continuous action and trajectory generation through a DiT-based action decoder. Qwen-VLA is trained with a large-scale joint pretraining recipe over diverse data sources, including robotics manipulation trajectories, human egocentric demonstrations, synthetic simulation data, vision-and-language navigation data, trajectory-centric supervision, and auxiliary vision-language data. To support multiple robot platforms, we introduce embodiment-aware prompt conditioning, where robot-specific textual descriptions specify the current embodiment and control convention. We further cast manipulation, navigation, and trajectory prediction into a unified action-and-trajectory prediction framework, enabling transferable visual grounding, spatial reasoning, and continuous action generation across robot morphologies, task families, and environments. Experiments on manipulation, navigation, and trajectory-centric benchmarks show consistent multi-task performance and out-of-distribution generalization under variations in scene layout, background, lighting, object configuration, and robot embodiment. Qwen-VLA-Instruct achieves 97.9% on LIBERO, 73.7% on Simpler-WidowX, 86.1%/87.2% on RoboTwin-Easy/Hard, 69.0% OSR on R2R, 59.6% SR on RxR, 76.9% average OOD success in real-world ALOHA experiments, and 26.6% zero-shot success on DOMINO dynamic manipulation.

FluxVLA Engine: A One-Stop VLA Engineering Platform for Embodied Intelligence

Vision-language-action (VLA) models, world-action models (WAMs), and offline reinforcement learning methods are rapidly expanding the design space of embodied policies, yet turning these algorithms into reliable robot systems remains constrained by fragmented data formats, training stacks, evaluation protocols, inference runtimes, and embodiment-specific interfaces. We present FluxVLA\mathrm{FluxVLA} Engine, an open, configuration-driven platform that turns heterogeneous embodied-policy components into a reproducible data-to-deployment workflow. Rather than introducing another policy model, FluxVLA\mathrm{FluxVLA} standardizes interfaces for datasets, visual-language and world models, action heads, reward- or advantage-weighted learning, distributed training, simulation evaluation, optimized inference, and robot operators. The engine further integrates compositional dual-arm simulation, scalable automatic data generation, and model-decoupled human-in-the-loop rollout, takeover, correction collection, and reward annotation. For responsive physical execution, it combines Real-Time Chunking (RTC) with accelerated inference backends, lightweight remote GPU serving, and configurable trajectory post-processing. Together, these capabilities connect offline learning, simulation validation, online correction, and real-robot execution through shared and auditable contracts. FluxVLA\mathrm{FluxVLA} therefore targets the engineering bottlenecks separating promising embodied-learning algorithms from reproducible evaluation and dependable deployment.
