Abstract

High-fidelity 3D generation predominantly relies on scaling model capacity and data, which incurs prohibitive computational costs. This paradigm typically requires learning geometry from scratch and overlooks the rich semantic and structural priors already encapsulated in discriminative 3D foundation models. We contend that leveraging the profound understanding of the 3D world possessed by these discriminative models can significantly reduce generative cost. To this end, we propose ROAD, a framework that reduces the training cost of 3D generation by transferring these rich discriminative priors into diffusion transformers. To address the inherent semantic-structural heterogeneity between generative and discriminative latents, we introduce a reciprocal-objective alignment strategy. This method synergizes Holistic Semantic Condensing to enforce global semantic coherence and Structural Optimal Alignment, which is formulated as a bipartite matching problem to rigorously align microscopic geometric details between disparate latent spaces. The 3D foundation model is only used for training-time supervision of alignment and is not used at inference, incurring no additional inference cost. Compared with the industrial baseline Step1X-3D, the proposed ROAD achieves highly competitive generation performance with only 1.5% of the training data and significantly reduces training costs, effectively reducing the computational overhead of high-fidelity 3D generation. Flow3D-OPD: Multi-Teacher On-Policy Distillation for 3D Geometry Generation with Flow-Matching Diffusion Transformer

Recent image-to-3D generation models built on flow-matching diffusion Transformers (DiT) can produce high-fidelity meshes, yet their post-training strategy remains largely unexplored. There exist several critical bottlenecks in reinforcement learning: the inherent difficulty of defining comprehensive rewards for 3D geometric quality, and the gradient interference that arises when jointly optimizing heterogeneous objectives. Inspired by the practicability of on-policy distillation (OPD) in large language models and image generation, we propose \textbf{Flow3D-OPD}, a two-stage post-training framework that introduces multi-teacher distillation into 3D geometry generation. In the first stage, we utilize the semi-policy to enhance the foundational capability of the pretrained model and then design an agentic verifier for 3D geometric quality evaluation. Based on the verifier, we could cultivate domain-specialized teacher models via direct preference optimization (DPO). In the second stage, we consolidate heterogeneous expertise into a unified student model through on-policy distillation with hard task-routing sampling and gradient accumulation, which could mitigate the gradient interference in joint optimization. Without relying on elaborate modifications, our straightforward yet effective design achieves consistent improvements across all geometric quality dimensions and surpasses all teacher models in the average metric. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our approach provides an effective paradigm for reinforcement learning in 3D generation.

Let Language Constrain Geometry: Vision-Language Models as Semantic and Spatial Critics for 3D Generation

Text-to-3D generation has advanced rapidly, yet state-of-the-art models, encompassing both optimization-based and feed-forward architectures, still face two fundamental limitations. First, they struggle with coarse semantic alignment, often failing to capture fine-grained prompt details. Second, they lack robust 3D spatial understanding, leading to geometric inconsistencies and catastrophic failures in part assembly and spatial relationships. To address these challenges, we propose VLM3D, a general framework that repurposes large vision-language models (VLMs) as powerful, differentiable semantic and spatial critics. Our core contribution is a dual-query critic signal derived from the VLM's Yes or No log-odds, which assesses both semantic fidelity and geometric coherence. We demonstrate the generality of this guidance signal across two distinct paradigms: (1) As a reward objective for optimization-based pipelines, VLM3D significantly outperforms existing methods on standard benchmarks. (2) As a test-time guidance module for feed-forward pipelines, it actively steers the iterative sampling process of SOTA native 3D models to correct severe spatial errors. VLM3D establishes a principled and generalizable path to inject the VLM's rich, language-grounded understanding of both semantics and space into diverse 3D generative pipelines.

AC3S: Adaptive Conditioning for 3D-Aware Synthetic Data Generation

Synthetic data generation has emerged as a powerful tool for improving data scalability in computer vision. Recent diffusion-based pipelines have demonstrated strong photorealism. However, how to enforce precise 3D structure and pose consistency in generated images remains challenging. Existing methods leverage visual prompts such as edge maps to guide diffusion models, but often suffer from over-conditioning artifacts that degrade image realism and limit dataset quality. In this paper, we present a diffusion-based image generation framework that enforces 3D structural alignment while preserving photorealism through adaptive conditioning. Our framework, Adaptive Conditioning for 3D-Aware Synthetic Data Generation (AC3S), introduces a self-supervised visual prompt modulator that dynamically adjusts the strength of ControlNet conditioning, preventing over-conditioning and enabling the diffusion model to retain its generative expressiveness. To further enhance diversity and semantic consistency, we develop a multi-agent vision language model framework that composes detailed and 3D-aware prompts aligned with the underlying geometric structure. Together, these components enable the scalable generation of high-quality synthetic datasets with accurate 2D and 3D annotations. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method significantly improves image quality and downstream utility.
