Abstract

Embodied agents are increasingly used to close the gap left by end-to-end policy models. Yet the agentic path has not realized closed-loop learning in physical execution: existing harnesses remain largely open-loop, following fixed skills during rollout and reflecting only after an episode completes. Such post-hoc reflection cannot govern execution as it unfolds, because physical interaction requires decisions to track rapidly changing robot-environment states at a frequency beyond today's large agentic models. We present Zetta, a closed-loop embodied harness that evolves code-based runtime critics and recovery skills online while keeping the base policy frozen. Through three timescale-separated loops, Zetta provides action-frequency governance, rollout-level critic-recovery proposal, and validation-gated skill updates. Together with Z-Infra, a rollout infrastructure decoupling agent logic from heterogeneous execution resources, Zetta achieves state-of-the-art success on LIBERO-Pro and RoboCasa under our current rollout budget, reaching 90.8% and 93.6%, with an 11.1x inference speedup; success continues to scale with self-exploration experience; learned skills transfer zero-shot, and clear robotic "Aha Moments" emerge. These results show that closed-loop harness self-evolution opens a scaling path for reliable physical intelligence.

EmbodiedEvo: Self-Evolving Coding Agent For Physical Intelligence

Coding agents can construct executable programs and revise them through feedback, offering a foundation for embodied control without target-task fine-tuning. Through a programmatic robot interface, the agent observes the scene, executes control programs, and adapts them to the resulting physical state, serving as the closed-loop policy. However, this within-episode adaptation does not automatically preserve experience across scenes. Our trajectory analysis shows that agents spend interaction and inference budgets establishing effective operations and identifying their preconditions, while fresh agents cannot reuse these discoveries. This motivates EmbodiedEvo, a self-evolving coding agent that distills physical feedback into reusable code Skills and diagnostic Lessons. Experience is acquired on one Playground scene per task, then frozen for independent agents in unseen scenes, without updating model weights. On RoboDojo-Sim, EmbodiedEvo achieves an average score of 44.48 and a success rate of 37.82%, surpassing all officially verified results. Paired tests show the largest gains on memory-dependent tasks and successful reuse of coordinated procedures, while fine contact control remains difficult. Experience from stronger models also improves weaker executors: Astra's experience raises Sol and Luna's success rates by 8.86 and 5.50 percentage points over no experience. Compared with raw interaction history, Skills and Lessons achieve comparable task performance at 53.0% lower execution cost.

HarnessPAI: An Evolving Harness for Physical AI

Physical AI aims to build embodied agents that perceive the world, understand and reason about it, and decide how to act. Yet the field has focused primarily on the last component: the action model that maps observations to low-level controls. The prevailing training recipe can erode the perceptual and reasoning capabilities needed for robust behavior, leaving even strong action models vulnerable to scene perturbations and long-horizon tasks. We introduce HarnessPAI, a model- and embodiment-agnostic Harness framework for Physical AI that treats code as the executable and evolvable interface that organizes the underlying action primitive. The framework separates two timescales: within a rollout, it executes open-loop at the program level, with a fixed program guiding and checking execution; across rollouts, it evolves closed-loop, using execution feedback to revise the program and distill failures into reusable skills. Across desktop robot arms, household robots, a robot vacuum, and a legged walking agent, HarnessPAI improves on both pure action models and code-as-policy baselines without retraining the underlying model: a 61.6-point gain over π0.5π_{0.5} on LIBERO-PRO and a 27.2-point gain over WorldDreamer on RoboCasa atomic tasks. Once a program is selected, rollout execution requires no online high-level LLM deliberation. Beyond execution, the converged program is also a cheap and reliable expert-data collector, and fine-tuning π0.5π_{0.5} on collected expert data lifts success rate on LIBERO-PRO by 38.8 points. Our results suggest that the frontier of Physical AI depends not only on stronger action models, but also on executable harnesses that integrate perception, task understanding and reasoning, and action execution into a unified, verifiable, and feedback-driven system. EmbodiedRSI: Active Continual Robot Learning Through Hypothesis-Guided Co-Evolution

Robot foundation models provide strong visuomotor control, yet their performance can degrade when object positions or task instructions change. Further improvements often require post-training on substantial robot data, which can be costly to collect through methods such as teleoperation. Agentic harnesses can adapt around the model, but current self-evolving harnesses use robot trials inefficiently when deciding which code and skill changes to pursue. We introduce EmbodiedRSI, a self-evolving agentic harness that autonomously decides where to explore next and turns the resulting physical interaction into improved code and skills. EmbodiedRSI realizes this through a Fast-Slow Dual-System Architecture, in which competing code and skill hypotheses are maintained in a Hypothesis Graph. Value-of-Information Experiment Selection chooses physical experiments that can distinguish these hypotheses. Their outcomes guide Code-Skill Co-Evolution. The Slow System builds Hierarchical Memory, and Reward-Grounded Memory Learning selects effective memory according to their value for later Fast-System improvement. On RoboCasa365, EmbodiedRSI reaches 77.0% overall success and 71.3% on Composite-Unseen, compared with 40.1% for the best baseline. EmbodiedRSI also reaches 86.8% overall success on LIBERO-Pro. Beyond benchmark performance, EmbodiedRSI transfers zero-shot to real-world robot, achieving 71.3% overall success across multiple challenging tasks.
