Intention Estimation
Intention estimation focuses on accurately predicting human actions and goals from observable behaviors, primarily to enable seamless human-robot collaboration and improve human-computer interaction. Current research emphasizes using multimodal data (gaze, motion, language) and advanced machine learning models, including Bayesian networks, large language models, and hierarchical deep learning architectures, to improve prediction accuracy and interpretability. This field is crucial for developing more intuitive and safe robotic systems for various applications, from industrial assembly to assistive technologies, by allowing robots to proactively adapt to human needs and intentions.
