Overview

3D scene generation studies how to turn prompts and visual observations into environments with coherent layouts, geometry, appearance, and sometimes motion or interaction. Methods range from procedural rules and language-model agents to diffusion, flow-matching, and autoregressive models that generate meshes, Gaussian splats, voxels, or occupancy representations. Work targets indoor design, large-scale worlds, driving scenes, and simulation for robotics, using constraints, rendering feedback, and physics checks to improve control and usability. A central challenge is balancing visual realism and scalable generation with consistent geometry, physical plausibility, editability, and reliable evaluation.

StoryBlender: Inter-Shot Consistent and Editable 3D Storyboard with Spatial-temporal Dynamics

Storyboarding is a core skill in visual storytelling for film, animation, and games. However, automating this process requires a system to achieve two properties that current approaches rarely satisfy simultaneously: inter-shot consistency and explicit editability. While 2D diffusion-based generators produce vivid imagery, they often suffer from identity drift along with limited geometric control; conversely, traditional 3D animation workflows are consistent and editable but require expert-heavy, labor-intensive authoring. We present StoryBlender, a grounded 3D storyboard generation framework governed by a Story-centric Reflection Scheme. At its core, we propose the StoryBlender system, which is built on a three-stage pipeline: (1) Semantic-Spatial Grounding, to construct a continuity memory graph to decouple global assets from shot-specific variables for long-horizon consistency; (2) Canonical Asset Materialization, to instantiate entities in a unified coordinate space to maintain visual identity; and (3) Spatial-Temporal Dynamics, to achieve layout design and cinematic evolution through visual metrics. By orchestrating multiple agents in a hierarchical manner within a verification loop, StoryBlender iteratively self-corrects spatial hallucinations via engine-verified feedback. The resulting native 3D scenes support direct, precise editing of cameras and visual assets while preserving unwavering multi-shot continuity. Experiments demonstrate that StoryBlender significantly improves consistency and editability over both diffusion-based and 3D-grounded baselines. Extend3D: Town-Scale 3D Generation

In this paper, we propose Extend3D, a training-free pipeline for 3D scene generation from a single image, built upon an object-centric 3D generative model. To overcome the limitations of fixed-size latent spaces in object-centric models for representing wide scenes, we extend the latent space in the xx and yy directions. Then, by dividing the extended latent space into overlapping patches, we apply the object-centric 3D generative model to each patch and couple them at each time step. Since patch-wise 3D generation with image conditioning requires strict spatial alignment between image and latent patches, we initialize the scene using a point cloud prior from a monocular depth estimator and iteratively refine occluded regions through SDEdit. We discovered that treating the incompleteness of 3D structure as noise during 3D refinement enables 3D completion via a concept, which we term under-noising. Furthermore, to address the sub-optimality of object-centric models for sub-scene generation, we optimize the extended latent during denoising, ensuring that the denoising trajectories remain consistent with the sub-scene dynamics. To this end, we introduce 3D-aware optimization objectives for improved geometric structure and texture fidelity. We demonstrate that our method yields better results than prior methods, as evidenced by human preference and quantitative experiments.

WorldFlow3D: Flowing Through 3D Distributions for Unbounded World Generation

Unbounded 3D world generation is emerging as a foundational task for scene modeling in computer vision, graphics, and robotics. In this work, we present WorldFlow3D, a novel method capable of generating unbounded 3D worlds. Building upon a foundational property of flow matching - namely, defining a path of transport between two data distributions - we model 3D generation more generally as a problem of flowing through 3D data distributions, not limited to conditional denoising. We find that our latent-free flow approach generates causal and accurate 3D structure, and can use this as an intermediate distribution to guide the generation of more complex structure and high-quality texture - all while converging more rapidly than existing methods. We enable controllability over generated scenes with vectorized scene layout conditions for geometric structure control and visual texture control through scene attributes. We confirm the effectiveness of WorldFlow3D on both real outdoor driving scenes and synthetic indoor scenes, validating cross-domain generalizability and high-quality generation on real data distributions. We confirm favorable scene generation fidelity over approaches in all tested settings for unbounded scene generation. For more, see https://light.princeton.edu/worldflow3d.

Stepper: Stepwise Immersive Scene Generation with Multiview Panoramas

The synthesis of immersive 3D scenes from text is rapidly maturing, driven by novel video generative models and feed-forward 3D reconstruction, with vast potential in AR/VR and world modeling. While panoramic images have proven effective for scene initialization, existing approaches suffer from a trade-off between visual fidelity and explorability: autoregressive expansion suffers from context drift, while panoramic video generation is limited to low resolution. We present Stepper, a unified framework for text-driven immersive 3D scene synthesis that circumvents these limitations via stepwise panoramic scene expansion. Stepper leverages a novel multi-view 360° diffusion model that enables consistent, high-resolution expansion, coupled with a geometry reconstruction pipeline that enforces geometric coherence. Trained on a new large-scale, multi-view panorama dataset, Stepper achieves state-of-the-art fidelity and structural consistency, outperforming prior approaches, thereby setting a new standard for immersive scene generation.

SonoWorld: From One Image to a 3D Audio-Visual Scene

Tremendous progress in visual scene generation now turns a single image into an explorable 3D world, yet immersion remains incomplete without sound. We introduce Image2AVScene, the task of generating a 3D audio-visual scene from a single image, and present SonoWorld, the first framework to tackle this challenge. From one image, our pipeline outpaints a 360° panorama, lifts it into a navigable 3D scene, places language-guided sound anchors, and renders ambisonics for point, areal, and ambient sources, yielding spatial audio aligned with scene geometry and semantics. Quantitative evaluations on a newly curated real-world dataset and a controlled user study confirm the effectiveness of our approach. Beyond free-viewpoint audio-visual rendering, we also demonstrate applications to one-shot acoustic learning and audio-visual spatial source separation. Seen2Scene: Completing Realistic 3D Scenes with Visibility-Guided Flow

We present Seen2Scene, the first flow matching-based approach that trains directly on incomplete, real-world 3D scans for scene completion and generation. Unlike prior methods that rely on complete and hence synthetic 3D data, our approach introduces visibility-guided flow matching, which explicitly masks out unknown regions in real scans, enabling effective learning from real-world, partial observations. We represent 3D scenes using truncated signed distance field (TSDF) volumes encoded in sparse grids and employ a sparse transformer to efficiently model complex scene structures while masking unknown regions. We employ 3D layout boxes as an input conditioning signal, and our approach is flexibly adapted to various other inputs such as text or partial scans. By learning directly from real-world, incomplete 3D scans, Seen2Scene enables realistic 3D scene completion for complex, cluttered real environments. Experiments demonstrate that our model produces coherent, complete, and realistic 3D scenes, outperforming baselines in completion accuracy and generation quality.

GaussianGPT: Towards Autoregressive 3D Gaussian Scene Generation

Most recent advances in 3D generative modeling rely on diffusion or flow-matching formulations. We instead explore a fully autoregressive alternative and introduce GaussianGPT, a transformer-based model that directly generates 3D Gaussians via next-token prediction, thus facilitating full 3D scene generation. We first compress Gaussian primitives into a discrete latent grid using a sparse 3D convolutional autoencoder with vector quantization. The resulting tokens are serialized and modeled using a causal transformer with 3D rotary positional embedding, enabling sequential generation of spatial structure and appearance. Unlike diffusion-based methods that refine scenes holistically, our formulation constructs scenes step-by-step, naturally supporting completion, outpainting, controllable sampling via temperature, and flexible generation horizons. This formulation leverages the compositional inductive biases and scalability of autoregressive modeling while operating on explicit representations compatible with modern neural rendering pipelines, positioning autoregressive transformers as a complementary paradigm for controllable and context-aware 3D generation.

AeroScene: Progressive Scene Synthesis for Aerial Robotics

Generative models have shown substantial impact across multiple domains, their potential for scene synthesis remains underexplored in robotics. This gap is more evident in drone simulators, where simulation environments still rely heavily on manual efforts, which are time-consuming to create and difficult to scale. In this work, we introduce AeroScene, a hierarchical diffusion model for progressive 3D scene synthesis. Our approach leverages hierarchy-aware tokenization and multi-branch feature extraction to reason across both global layouts and local details, ensuring physical plausibility and semantic consistency. This makes AeroScene particularly suited for generating realistic scenes for aerial robotics tasks such as navigation, landing, and perching. We demonstrate its effectiveness through extensive experiments on our newly collected dataset and a public benchmark, showing that AeroScene significantly outperforms prior methods. Furthermore, we use AeroScene to generate a large-scale dataset of over 1,000 physics-ready, high fidelity 3D scenes that can be directly integrated into NVIDIA Isaac Sim. Finally, we illustrate the utility of these generated environments on downstream drone navigation tasks. Our code and dataset are publicly available at aioz-ai.github.io/AeroScene/

WorldMesh: Generating Navigable Multi-Room 3D Scenes via Mesh-Conditioned Image Diffusion

Recent progress in image and video synthesis has inspired their use in advancing 3D scene generation. However, we observe that text-to-image and -video approaches struggle to maintain scene- and object-level consistency beyond a limited environment scale without a persistent, explicit geometric representation. We thus present a geometry-first approach that decouples this complex problem of large-scale 3D scene synthesis into its structural composition, represented as a mesh scaffold, and realistic appearance synthesis, which leverages powerful image synthesis models conditioned on the mesh scaffold. From an input text description, we first construct a mesh capturing the environment's geometry (walls, floors, etc.), and then use image synthesis, segmentation and object reconstruction to populate the mesh structure with objects in realistic layouts. This mesh scaffold is then rendered to condition image synthesis, providing a structural backbone for consistent appearance generation. This enables scalable, arbitrarily-sized 3D scenes of high object richness and diversity, combining robust 3D consistency with photorealistic detail. We believe this marks a significant step toward generating truly environment-scale, immersive 3D worlds.

WorldAgents: Can Foundation Image Models be Agents for 3D World Models?

Given the remarkable ability of 2D foundation image models to generate high-fidelity outputs, we investigate a fundamental question: do 2D foundation image models inherently possess 3D world model capabilities? To answer this, we systematically evaluate multiple state-of-the-art image generation models and Vision-Language Models (VLMs) on the task of 3D world synthesis. To harness and benchmark their potential implicit 3D capability, we propose an agentic framing to facilitate 3D world generation. Our approach employs a multi-agent architecture: a VLM-based director that formulates prompts to guide image synthesis, a generator that synthesizes new image views, and a VLM-backed two-step verifier that evaluates and selectively curates generated frames from both 2D image and 3D reconstruction space. Crucially, we demonstrate that our agentic approach provides coherent and robust 3D reconstruction, producing output scenes that can be explored by rendering novel views. Through extensive experiments across various foundation models, we demonstrate that 2D models do indeed encapsulate a grasp of 3D worlds. By exploiting this understanding, our method successfully synthesizes expansive, realistic, and 3D-consistent worlds.

FlowScene: Style-Consistent Indoor Scene Generation with Multimodal Graph Rectified Flow

Scene generation has extensive industrial applications, demanding both high realism and precise control over geometry and appearance. Language-driven retrieval methods compose plausible scenes from a large object database, but overlook object-level control and often fail to enforce scene-level style coherence. Graph-based formulations offer higher controllability over objects and inform holistic consistency by explicitly modeling relations, yet existing methods struggle to produce high-fidelity textured results, thereby limiting their practical utility. We present FlowScene, a tri-branch scene generative model conditioned on multimodal graphs that collaboratively generates scene layouts, object shapes, and object textures. At its core lies a tight-coupled rectified flow model that exchanges object information during generation, enabling collaborative reasoning across the graph. This enables fine-grained control of objects' shapes, textures, and relations while enforcing scene-level style coherence across structure and appearance. Extensive experiments show that FlowScene outperforms both language-conditioned and graph-conditioned baselines in terms of generation realism, style consistency, and alignment with human preferences.

Points-to-3D: Structure-Aware 3D Generation with Point Cloud Priors

Recent progress in 3D generation has been driven largely by models conditioned on images or text, while readily available 3D priors are still underused. In many real-world scenarios, the visible-region point cloud are easy to obtain from active sensors such as LiDAR or from feed-forward predictors like VGGT, offering explicit geometric constraints that current methods fail to exploit. In this work, we introduce Points-to-3D, a diffusion-based framework that leverages point cloud priors for geometry-controllable 3D asset and scene generation. Built on a latent 3D diffusion model TRELLIS, Points-to-3D first replaces pure-noise sparse structure latent initialization with a point cloud priors tailored input formulation.A structure inpainting network, trained within the TRELLIS framework on task-specific data designed to learn global structural inpainting, is then used for inference with a staged sampling strategy (structural inpainting followed by boundary refinement), completing the global geometry while preserving the visible regions of the input priors. In practice, Points-to-3D can take either accurate point-cloud priors or VGGT-estimated point clouds from single images as input. Experiments on both objects and scene scenarios consistently demonstrate superior performance over state-of-the-art baselines in terms of rendering quality and geometric fidelity, highlighting the effectiveness of explicitly embedding point-cloud priors for achieving more accurate and structurally controllable 3D generation. World Reconstruction From Inconsistent Views

Video diffusion models generate high-quality and diverse worlds; however, individual frames often lack 3D consistency across the output sequence, which makes the reconstruction of 3D worlds difficult. To this end, we propose a new method that handles these inconsistencies by non-rigidly aligning the video frames into a globally-consistent coordinate frame that produces sharp and detailed pointcloud reconstructions. First, a geometric foundation model lifts each frame into a pixel-wise 3D pointcloud, which contains unaligned surfaces due to these inconsistencies. We then propose a tailored non-rigid iterative frame-to-model ICP to obtain an initial alignment across all frames, followed by a global optimization that further sharpens the pointcloud. Finally, we leverage this pointcloud as initialization for 3D reconstruction and propose a novel inverse deformation rendering loss to create high quality and explorable 3D environments from inconsistent views. We demonstrate that our 3D scenes achieve higher quality than baselines, effectively turning video models into 3D-consistent world generators.

OneWorld: Taming Scene Generation with 3D Unified Representation Autoencoder

Existing diffusion-based 3D scene generation methods primarily operate in 2D image/video latent spaces, which makes maintaining cross-view appearance and geometric consistency inherently challenging. To bridge this gap, we present OneWorld, a framework that performs diffusion directly within a coherent 3D representation space. Central to our approach is the 3D Unified Representation Autoencoder (3D-URAE); it leverages pretrained 3D foundation models and augments their geometry-centric nature by injecting appearance and distilling semantics into a unified 3D latent space. Furthermore, we introduce token-level Cross-View-Correspondence (CVC) consistency loss to explicitly enforce structural alignment across views, and propose Manifold-Drift Forcing (MDF) to mitigate train-inference exposure bias and shape a robust 3D manifold by mixing drifted and original representations. Comprehensive experiments demonstrate that OneWorld generates high-quality 3D scenes with superior cross-view consistency compared to state-of-the-art 2D-based methods. Our code will be available at https://github.com/SensenGao/OneWorld.

Interact3D: Compositional 3D Generation of Interactive Objects

Recent breakthroughs in 3D generation have enabled the synthesis of high-fidelity individual assets. However, generating 3D compositional objects from single images--particularly under occlusions--remains challenging. Existing methods often degrade geometric details in hidden regions and fail to preserve the underlying object-object spatial relationships (OOR). We present a novel framework Interact3D designed to generate physically plausible interacting 3D compositional objects. Our approach first leverages advanced generative priors to curate high-quality individual assets with a unified 3D guidance scene. To physically compose these assets, we then introduce a robust two-stage composition pipeline. Based on the 3D guidance scene, the primary object is anchored through precise global-to-local geometric alignment (registration), while subsequent geometries are integrated using a differentiable Signed Distance Field (SDF)-based optimization that explicitly penalizes geometry intersections. To reduce challenging collisions, we further deploy a closed-loop, agentic refinement strategy. A Vision-Language Model (VLM) autonomously analyzes multi-view renderings of the composed scene, formulates targeted corrective prompts, and guides an image editing module to iteratively self-correct the generation pipeline. Extensive experiments demonstrate that Interact3D successfully produces promising collsion-aware compositions with improved geometric fidelity and consistent spatial relationships.

Grounding World Simulation Models in a Real-World Metropolis

What if a world simulation model could render not an imagined environment but a city that actually exists? Prior generative world models synthesize visually plausible yet artificial environments by imagining all content. We present Seoul World Model (SWM), a city-scale world model grounded in the real city of Seoul. SWM anchors autoregressive video generation through retrieval-augmented conditioning on nearby street-view images. However, this design introduces several challenges, including temporal misalignment between retrieved references and the dynamic target scene, limited trajectory diversity and data sparsity from vehicle-mounted captures at sparse intervals. We address these challenges through cross-temporal pairing, a large-scale synthetic dataset enabling diverse camera trajectories, and a view interpolation pipeline that synthesizes coherent training videos from sparse street-view images. We further introduce a Virtual Lookahead Sink to stabilize long-horizon generation by continuously re-grounding each chunk to a retrieved image at a future location. We evaluate SWM against recent video world models across three cities: Seoul, Busan, and Ann Arbor. SWM outperforms existing methods in generating spatially faithful, temporally consistent, long-horizon videos grounded in actual urban environments over trajectories reaching hundreds of meters, while supporting diverse camera movements and text-prompted scenario variations.

Scene Generation at Absolute Scale: Utilizing Semantic and Geometric Guidance From Text for Accurate and Interpretable 3D Indoor Scene Generation

We present GuidedSceneGen, a text-to-3D generation framework that produces metrically accurate, globally consistent, and semantically interpretable indoor scenes. Unlike prior text-driven methods that often suffer from geometric drift or scale ambiguity, our approach maintains an absolute world coordinate frame throughout the entire generation process. Starting from a textual scene description, we predict a global 3D layout encoding both semantic and geometric structure, which serves as a guiding proxy for downstream stages. A semantics- and depth-conditioned panoramic diffusion model then synthesizes 360° imagery aligned with the global layout, substantially improving spatial coherence. To explore unobserved regions, we employ a video diffusion model guided by optimized camera trajectories that balances coverage and collision avoidance, achieving up to 10x faster sampling compared to exhaustive path exploration. The generated views are fused using 3D Gaussian Splatting, yielding a consistent and fully navigable 3D scene in absolute scale. GuidedSceneGen enables accurate transfer of object poses and semantic labels from layout to reconstruction, and supports progressive scene expansion without re-alignment. Quantitative results and a user study demonstrate greater 3D consistency and layout plausibility compared to recent panoramic text-to-3D baselines.

SceneAssistant: A Visual Feedback Agent for Open-Vocabulary 3D Scene Generation

Text-to-3D scene generation from natural language is highly desirable for digital content creation. However, existing methods are largely domain-restricted or reliant on predefined spatial relationships, limiting their capacity for unconstrained, open-vocabulary 3D scene synthesis. In this paper, we introduce SceneAssistant, a visual-feedback-driven agent designed for open-vocabulary 3D scene generation. Our framework leverages modern 3D object generation model along with the spatial reasoning and planning capabilities of Vision-Language Models (VLMs). To enable open-vocabulary scene composition, we provide the VLMs with a comprehensive set of atomic operations (e.g., Scale, Rotate, FocusOn). At each interaction step, the VLM receives rendered visual feedback and takes actions accordingly, iteratively refining the scene to achieve more coherent spatial arrangements and better alignment with the input text. Experimental results demonstrate that our method can generate diverse, open-vocabulary, and high-quality 3D scenes. Both qualitative analysis and quantitative human evaluations demonstrate the superiority of our approach over existing methods. Furthermore, our method allows users to instruct the agent to edit existing scenes based on natural language commands. Our code is available at https://github.com/ROUJINN/SceneAssistant

MV-SAM3D: Adaptive Multi-View Fusion for Layout-Aware 3D Generation

Recent unified 3D generation models have made remarkable progress in producing high-quality 3D assets from a single image. Notably, layout-aware approaches such as SAM3D can reconstruct multiple objects while preserving their spatial arrangement, opening the door to practical scene-level 3D generation. However, current methods are limited to single-view input and cannot leverage complementary multi-view observations, while independently estimated object poses often lead to physically implausible layouts such as interpenetration and floating artifacts. We present MV-SAM3D, a training-free framework that extends layout-aware 3D generation with multi-view consistency and physical plausibility. We formulate multi-view fusion as a Multi-Diffusion process in 3D latent space and propose two adaptive weighting strategies -- attention-entropy weighting and visibility weighting -- that enable confidence-aware fusion, ensuring each viewpoint contributes according to its local observation reliability. For multi-object composition, we introduce physics-aware optimization that injects collision and contact constraints both during and after generation, yielding physically plausible object arrangements. Experiments on standard benchmarks and real-world multi-object scenes demonstrate significant improvements in reconstruction fidelity and layout plausibility, all without any additional training. Code is available at https://github.com/devinli123/MV-SAM3D.

MANSION: Multi-floor lANguage-to-3D Scene generatIOn for loNg-horizon tasks

Real-world robotic tasks are long-horizon and often span multiple floors, demanding rich spatial reasoning. However, existing embodied benchmarks are largely confined to single-floor in-house environments, failing to reflect the complexity of real-world tasks. We introduce MANSION, the first language-driven framework for generating building-scale, multi-floor 3D environments. Being aware of vertical structural constraints, MANSION generates realistic, navigable whole-building structures with diverse, human-friendly scenes, enabling the development and evaluation of cross-floor long-horizon tasks. Building on this framework, we release MansionWorld, a dataset of over 1,000 diverse buildings ranging from hospitals to offices, alongside a Task-Semantic Scene Editing Agent that customizes these environments using open-vocabulary commands to meet specific user needs. Benchmarking reveals that state-of-the-art agents degrade sharply in our settings, establishing MANSION as a critical testbed for the next generation of spatial reasoning and planning.

PARSE: Part-Aware Relational Spatial Modeling

Inter-object relations underpin spatial intelligence, yet existing representations -- linguistic prepositions or object-level scene graphs -- are too coarse to specify which regions actually support, contain, or contact one another, leading to ambiguous and physically inconsistent layouts. To address these ambiguities, a part-level formulation is needed; therefore, we introduce PARSE, a framework that explicitly models how object parts interact to determine feasible and spatially grounded scene configurations. PARSE centers on the Part-centric Assembly Graph (PAG), which encodes geometric relations between specific object parts, and a Part-Aware Spatial Configuration Solver that converts these relations into geometric constraints to assemble collision-free, physically valid scenes. Using PARSE, we build PARSE-10K, a dataset of 10,000 3D indoor scenes constructed from real-image layout priors and a curated part-annotated shape database, each with dense contact structures and a part-level contact graph. With this structured, spatially grounded supervision, fine-tuning Qwen3-VL on PARSE-10K yields stronger object-level layout reasoning and more accurate part-level relation understanding; furthermore, leveraging PAGs as structural priors in 3D generation models leads to scenes with substantially improved physical realism and structural complexity. Together, these results show that PARSE significantly advances geometry-grounded spatial reasoning and supports the generation of physically consistent 3D scenes.

Pano3DComposer: Feed-Forward Compositional 3D Scene Generation from Single Panoramic Image

Current compositional image-to-3D scene generation approaches construct 3D scenes by time-consuming iterative layout optimization or inflexible joint object-layout generation. Moreover, most methods rely on limited field-of-view perspective images, hindering the creation of complete 360-degree environments. To address these limitations, we design Pano3DComposer, an efficient feed-forward framework for panoramic images. To decouple object generation from layout estimation, we propose a plug-and-play Object-World Transformation Predictor. This module converts the 3D objects generated by off-the-shelf image-to-3D models from local to world coordinates. To achieve this, we adapt the VGGT architecture to Alignment-VGGT by using target object crop, multi-view object renderings and camera parameters to predict the transformation. The predictor is trained using pseudo-geometric supervision to address the shape discrepancy between generated and ground-truth objects. For input images from unseen domains, we further introduce a Coarse-to-Fine (C2F) alignment mechanism for Pano3DComposer that iteratively refines geometric consistency with feedback of scene rendering. Our method achieves superior geometric accuracy for image/text-to-3D tasks on synthetic and real-world datasets. It can generate a high-fidelity 3D scene in approximately 20 seconds on an RTX 4090 GPU. Project page: https://qiuzidian.github.io/pano3dcomposer-page/.

Cog2Gen3D: Sculpturing 3D Semantic-Geometric Cognition for 3D Generation

Generative models have achieved success in producing semantically plausible 2D images, but it remains challenging in 3D generation due to the absence of spatial geometry constraints. Typically, existing methods utilize geometric features as conditions to enhance spatial awareness. However, these methods can only model relative relationships and are prone to scale inconsistency of absolute geometry. Thus, we argue that semantic information and absolute geometry empower 3D cognition, thereby enabling controllable 3D generation for the physical world. In this work, we propose Cog2Gen3D, a 3D cognition-guided diffusion framework for 3D generation. Our model is guided by three key designs: 1) Cognitive Feature Embeddings. We encode different modalities into semantic and geometric representations and further extract logical representations. 2) 3D Latent Cognition Graph. We structure different representations into dual-stream semantic-geometric graphs and fuse them via common-based cross-attention to obtain a 3D cognition graph. 3) Cognition-Guided Latent Diffusion. We leverage the fused 3D cognition graph as the condition to guide the latent diffusion process for 3D Gaussian generation. Under this unified framework, the 3D cognition graph ensures the physical plausibility and structural rationality of 3D generation. Moreover, we construct a validation subset based on the Marble World Labs. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our Cog2Gen3D significantly outperforms existing methods in both semantic fidelity and geometric plausibility.

DM-CFO: A Diffusion Model for Compositional 3D Tooth Generation with Collision-Free Optimization

The automatic design of a 3D tooth model plays a crucial role in dental digitization. However, current approaches face challenges in compositional 3D tooth generation because both the layouts and shapes of missing teeth need to be optimized. In addition, collision conflicts are often omitted in 3D Gaussian-based compositional 3D generation, where objects may intersect with each other due to the absence of explicit geometric information on the object surfaces. Motivated by graph generation through diffusion models and collision detection using 3D Gaussians, we propose an approach named DM-CFO for compositional tooth generation, where the layout of missing teeth is progressively restored during the denoising phase under both text and graph constraints. Then, the Gaussian parameters of each layout-guided tooth and the entire jaw are alternately updated using score distillation sampling (SDS). Furthermore, a regularization term based on the distances between the 3D Gaussians of neighboring teeth and the anchor tooth is introduced to penalize tooth intersections. Experimental results on three tooth-design datasets demonstrate that our approach significantly improves the multiview consistency and realism of the generated teeth compared with existing methods. Beyond Pixel Histories: World Models with Persistent 3D State

Interactive world models continually generate video by responding to a user's actions, enabling open-ended generation capabilities. However, existing models typically lack a 3D representation of the environment, meaning 3D consistency must be implicitly learned from data, and spatial memory is restricted to limited temporal context windows. This results in an unrealistic user experience and presents significant obstacles to downstream tasks such as training agents. To address this, we present PERSIST, a new paradigm of world model which simulates the evolution of a latent 3D scene: environment, camera, and renderer. This allows us to synthesise new frames with persistent spatial memory and consistent geometry. Both quantitative metrics and a qualitative user study show substantial improvements in spatial memory, 3D consistency, and long-horizon stability over existing methods, enabling coherent, evolving 3D worlds. We further demonstrate novel capabilities, including synthesising diverse 3D environments from a single image, as well as enabling fine-grained, geometry-aware control over generated experiences by supporting environment editing and specification directly in 3D space. TIMI: Training-Free Image-to-3D Multi-Instance Generation with Spatial Fidelity

Precise spatial fidelity in Image-to-3D multi-instance generation is critical for downstream real-world applications. Recent work attempts to address this by fine-tuning pre-trained Image-to-3D (I23D) models on multi-instance datasets, which incurs substantial training overhead and struggles to guarantee spatial fidelity. In fact, we observe that pre-trained I23D models already possess meaningful spatial priors, which remain underutilized as evidenced by instance entanglement issues. Motivated by this, we propose TIMI, a novel Training-free framework for Image-to-3D Multi-Instance generation that achieves high spatial fidelity. Specifically, we first introduce an Instance-aware Separation Guidance (ISG) module, which facilitates instance disentanglement during the early denoising stage. Next, to stabilize the guidance introduced by ISG, we devise a Spatial-stabilized Geometry-adaptive Update (SGU) module that promotes the preservation of the geometric characteristics of instances while maintaining their relative relationships. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method yields better performance in terms of both global layout and distinct local instances compared to existing multi-instance methods, without requiring additional training and with faster inference speed.

SceneTransporter: Optimal Transport-Guided Compositional Latent Diffusion for Single-Image Structured 3D Scene Generation

We introduce SceneTransporter, an end-to-end framework for structured 3D scene generation from a single image. While existing methods generate part-level 3D objects, they often fail to organize these parts into distinct instances in open-world scenes. Through a debiased clustering probe, we reveal a critical insight: this failure stems from the lack of structural constraints within the model's internal assignment mechanism. Based on this finding, we reframe the task of structured 3D scene generation as a global correlation assignment problem. To solve this, SceneTransporter formulates and solves an entropic Optimal Transport (OT) objective within the denoising loop of the compositional DiT model. This formulation imposes two powerful structural constraints. First, the resulting transport plan gates cross-attention to enforce an exclusive, one-to-one routing of image patches to part-level 3D latents, preventing entanglement. Second, the competitive nature of the transport encourages the grouping of similar patches, a process that is further regularized by an edge-based cost, to form coherent objects and prevent fragmentation. Extensive experiments show that SceneTransporter outperforms existing methods on open-world scene generation, significantly improving instance-level coherence and geometric fidelity. Code and models will be publicly available at https://2019epwl.github.io/SceneTransporter/.

One2Scene: Geometric Consistent Explorable 3D Scene Generation from a Single Image

Generating explorable 3D scenes from a single image is a highly challenging problem in 3D vision. Existing methods struggle to support free exploration, often producing severe geometric distortions and noisy artifacts when the viewpoint moves far from the original perspective. We introduce One2Scene, an effective framework that decomposes this ill-posed problem into three tractable sub-tasks to enable immersive explorable scene generation. We first use a panorama generator to produce anchor views from a single input image as initialization. Then, we lift these 2D anchors into an explicit 3D geometric scaffold via a generalizable, feed-forward Gaussian Splatting network. Instead of treating the panorama as a single image for reconstruction, we project it into multiple sparse anchor views and reformulate the reconstruction task as multi-view stereo matching, which allows us to leverage robust geometric priors learned from large-scale multi-view datasets. A bidirectional feature fusion module is used to enforce cross-view consistency, yielding an efficient and geometrically reliable scaffold. Finally, the scaffold serves as a strong prior for a novel view generator to produce photorealistic and geometrically accurate views at arbitrary cameras. By explicitly conditioning on a 3D-consistent scaffold to perform reconstruction, One2Scene works stably under large camera motions, supporting immersive scene exploration. Extensive experiments show that One2Scene substantially outperforms state-of-the-art methods in panorama depth estimation, feed-forward 360° reconstruction, and explorable 3D scene generation. SceneTok: A Compressed, Diffusable Token Space for 3D Scenes

We present SceneTok, a novel tokenizer for encoding view sets of scenes into a compressed and diffusable set of unstructured tokens. Existing approaches for 3D scene representation and generation commonly use 3D data structures or view-aligned fields. In contrast, we introduce the first method that encodes scene information into a small set of permutation-invariant tokens that is disentangled from the spatial grid. The scene tokens are predicted by a multi-view tokenizer given many context views and rendered into novel views by employing a light-weight rectified flow decoder. We show that the compression is 1-3 orders of magnitude stronger than for other representations while still reaching state-of-the-art reconstruction quality. Further, our representation can be rendered from novel trajectories, including ones deviating from the input trajectory, and we show that the decoder gracefully handles uncertainty. Finally, the highly-compressed set of unstructured latent scene tokens enables simple and efficient scene generation in 5 seconds, achieving a much better quality-speed trade-off than previous paradigms.

RoboLayout: Differentiable 3D Scene Generation for Embodied Agents

Recent advances in vision language models (VLMs) have shown strong potential for spatial reasoning and 3D scene layout generation from open-ended language instructions. However, generating layouts that are not only semantically coherent but also feasible for interaction by embodied agents remains challenging, particularly in physically constrained indoor environments. In this paper, RoboLayout is introduced as an extension of LayoutVLM that augments the original framework with agent-aware reasoning and improved optimization stability. RoboLayout integrates explicit reachability constraints into a differentiable layout optimization process, enabling the generation of layouts that are navigable and actionable by embodied agents. Importantly, the agent abstraction is not limited to a specific robot platform and can represent diverse entities with distinct physical capabilities, such as service robots, warehouse robots, humans of different age groups, or animals, allowing environment design to be tailored to the intended agent. In addition, a local refinement stage is proposed that selectively reoptimizes problematic object placements while keeping the remainder of the scene fixed, improving convergence efficiency without increasing global optimization iterations. Overall, RoboLayout preserves the strong semantic alignment and physical plausibility of LayoutVLM while enhancing applicability to agent-centric indoor scene generation, as demonstrated by experimental results across diverse scene configurations.
