Multimodal Conditioning of Fine-Tuned Stable Diffusion XL for Controllable and Culturally Faithful Ulos Motif Generation

The traditional Batak Ulos weaving industry faces growing challenges in producing diverse, innovative motifs due to limitations in conventional, manually driven design methods. This study proposes a multimodal generative framework integrating a fine-tuned Latent Diffusion Model (Stable Diffusion XL v1.0 via LoRA) with a Multimodal Large Language Model (LLaMA 1.5-7B) to enable controllable, culturally faithful Ulos motif generation. Four complementary conditioning mechanisms: text, image, representation, and semantic map (via ControlNet) jointly guide the generation process, each governing a distinct aspect from semantic intent to spatial layout. A five level ablation study across three scenarios (shape transformation, colour variation, and high-complexity input) shows that conditioning effectiveness is not proportional to the number of mechanisms combined: Text + Image + Semantic Map achieved the best FID (270) and CLIP Score (0.65 - 0.70) but the weakest SSIM (0.65), while Text + Image + Representation offered the best overall balance, with stable SSIM (0.84) and competitive FID (280). Combining all four mechanisms yielded the weakest FID (330), indicating conflicting optimization signals. Qualitative evaluation by nine weavers and thirty public participants confirmed statistically significant positive acceptance (Wilcoxon, p=0.007 and p<0.001, respectively). A web-based prototype supporting text-to-image and image-to-image generation was also developed, offering a practical digital design tool for cultural heritage preservation.

NeMo Data Designer: An Extensible Framework for Multimodal Synthetic Data Generation

We present NeMo Data Designer (NDD), an open-source, general-purpose framework for multi-modal synthetic data generation (SDG). Designed to be intuitive to use, NDD provides a declarative configuration format in which human and/or agent users define each dataset column, with column types spanning text, code, structured outputs, images, embeddings, and statistical samplers that are explicitly configured to steer dataset diversity. Additional column types and functionality can be introduced using the framework's flexible plugin system. NDD's configuration is an inspectable artifact, supporting workflow sharing and reproducibility. SDG is an inherently iterative process. NDD therefore builds a preview-and-revision loop into its core workflow, allowing users to generate and inspect a small number of records, refine the specification, and rerun generation at full scale. At runtime, NDD resolves dependencies, schedules calls to user-provided model endpoints, and retries failed requests. We describe NDD's architecture and programming model and present case studies spanning structured, agentic, multimodal, and domain-specialized tasks, including datasets used in Nemotron model development and in production enterprise deployments.

One Model, Two Physical Stories: Auditing Misalignment in Multi-Modal World Modeling

World models, systems that generate what happens next given current environmental conditions, are increasingly being implemented with multi-modal generation in mind. However, generating multiple modalities simultaneously, such as visual simulations alongside physical state predictions in the form of text, introduces the risk of cross-modal inconsistency. Tested separately, both outputs may look convincing while still disagreeing: a model can calculate that a ball should rebound in one modality, then generate no rebound in another modality, to say nothing of diverging from real-world dynamics entirely. In this work we focus on two failures explicitly: \emph{Internal misalignment}, the disagreement between the world model's generated video and the same world model's prediction in a different modalities, and \emph{external misalignment} the disagreement between the world model's generation and an analytic physical environment. We derive common contracts of event, magnitude, timing, and construct a physics grounded pipeline to make comparisons measurable in both external and internal settings. We then ask whether progressively supplying the model's own contract (the A ladder for the internal setting) or a corrected physical contract (the B ladder for the external setting) closes the respective gaps. Across four mechanisms and 20 settings, we find that while language answers all 22 text probes correctly with respect to the true environment, the neutral video is often in disagreement, suggesting that the current unified backbones may not be capable of correct reasoning, internal consistency, and external physical fidelity all at once.

Multi-Modal Controlled Coherent Motion Generation

It is natural for humans to walk and talk simultaneously. This paper tackles the challenge of replicating such natural behaviors in 3D avatar motion generation driven by concurrent multimodal inputs, such as a text description of a man walking alongside speech audio. Existing methods, constrained by the scarcity of aligned multimodal data, typically combine motions from individual modalities sequentially or through weighted sums. However, they often result in mismatched or unrealistic movements. To overcome these limitations, we propose MOCO, a novel diffusion-based framework capable of processing multiple simultaneous inputs, including speech audio, text descriptions, and trajectory data, to generate coherent and lifelike motions without requiring aligned multimodal data. Our key innovation lies in decoupling the motion generation process. During each denoising step, the diffusion model independently generates motions for each modality from the input noise and assembles the body parts according to predefined spatial rules. The resulting combined motion is then diffused and serves as the input noise for the subsequent denoising step. This iterative approach enables each modality to refine its contribution within the context of the overall motion, progressively harmonizing movements across modalities. Consequently, the generated motions become increasingly natural and fluid with each iteration, achieving coherent and synchronized behaviors. We evaluate our approach using a purpose-built multimodal benchmark. Experimental results demonstrate that MOCO outperforms existing baselines, advancing the field of multimodal motion generation for 3D avatars.

Beyond Coherence: Benchmarking Professional Editing-Technique Execution in Multi-Shot Audio-Video Generation

Recent multi-shot audio-video generators can produce increasingly coherent and cinematic outputs, but coherence does not imply the ability to execute editing techniques. Professional editing depends on shot structure, transition grammar, audio-video cut relations, and montage, yet existing benchmarks largely rely on proxies such as content quality, synchronization, or physical plausibility, systematically missing whether such editing instructions are actually executed. We introduce CutCraft, the first benchmark for editing-technique execution in multi-shot audio-video generation. CutCraft extends structured multi-shot prompts with explicit editing specifications and is paired with a hierarchical hybrid evaluation framework that combines shot-structure alignment, expert-model metrics, tool-grounded multimodal judgment, and rubric-based question answering. Beyond evaluation, we design an agentic editing baseline that decomposes generation into planning, shot-level synthesis, and post-hoc composition, explicitly realizing editing semantics such as J-cuts, L-cuts, and transition timing. Across 13 state-of-the-art closed- and open-source models, CutCraft reveals a consistent gap between coherence and editing-technique execution: current systems often produce plausible multi-shot videos yet fail to execute editorial instructions reliably. We find unstable shot structures, weak control of transition execution, and sharp degradation on higher-order montage, while aesthetic quality is only weakly correlated with editing-technique compliance. The benchmark and metrics, and the editing agent baseline are available at https://github.com/AlibabaResearch/cut-craft-bench.

Who Drives the Probability Game of VLMs? A Temporal Causal Drive Evaluation Framework

Vision-language models (VLMs) are increasingly evaluated on complex image and video understanding tasks, yet conventional metrics primarily assess final-answer quality and reveal little about how different information sources shape the generation process. We propose a causal and temporal evaluation framework that traces the evolving roles of visual input, question text, and generated prefixes during autoregressive decoding. Grounded in a Structural Causal Model, we use interventions and backdoor adjustment to derive three step-indexed causal-drive metrics---Visual Causal Drive (VCD), Question Causal Drive (QCD), and Prefix Causal Drive (PCD)---for characterizing source-specific generation patterns without requiring reference answers. Experiments on Qwen3-VL-8B-Instruct across MAVIS, LLaVA-Video-178K, and MiraData, together with cross-model validation on InternVL2-8B, reveal a consistent transition from stronger early question and visual guidance toward increasing reliance on generated prefixes. Randomized-intervention validation shows that QCD and PCD reduce recovery error over observational PMI baselines by 34.8% and 47.1%, respectively. On VLMBias, the prefix--visual imbalance score achieves 0.767 AUROC and 0.873 AUPRC for distinguishing prior-driven from visually grounded generations. These results show that causal-drive trajectories provide complementary source-level diagnostics for multimodal generation.

DreamX-Creator: Democratizing Native Audio-Video Generation at 2K Resolution

Recent video generators often omit audio or synthesize it in a separate stage, limiting reciprocal modeling of visual dynamics and acoustic events. We present DreamX-Creator 1.0, a compact native joint audio-video generation system centered on a 7B generator. Conditioned on a first frame and a text prompt, the generator jointly denoises modality-specialized audio and video streams. The streams are processed independently in the first half of the network and coupled in the latter half through Gated Cross-Modal Attention, whose token- and head-wise output gates modulate each active cross-modal attention-head output. A unified Audio-Video Data System constructs and filters temporally coherent clips, produces structured multimodal annotations, and organizes clips into capability-oriented data pools. Progressive Joint Training comprises two audio-video pre-training stages followed by High-Quality Finetuning. Audio-Video Reinforcement Learning further post-trains the generator with Modality-Aware Multimodal Feedback that routes video-, audio-, and cross-modal feedback to the corresponding streams. For high-resolution output, our Autoregressive 1-Step 2K Refinement pipeline adapts a bidirectional multi-step teacher into an autoregressive multi-step refiner and distills it into a student requiring one denoising evaluation per temporal chunk. Overall, DreamX-Creator 1.0 achieves native, synchronized audio-video generation with performance competitive with state-of-the-art open-source systems. By releasing our compact 7B generator and 2K Refiner, we seek to democratize native audio-video generation and provide an accessible foundation for future research in unified audio-video generative modeling.

GarmentWeaver: Schema-Aware Structured Synthesis for Multimodal Sewing Patterns

Multimodal Sewing pattern generation aims to infer executable sewing patterns from design cues such as sketches and textual descriptions. As an interpretable and simulation-compatible representation, sewing patterns are particularly valuable for digital garment creation. However, existing methods often model garment specifications as flat long sequences, which entangles garment structure with detailed parameters and leads to redundant components, inaccurate local details, and poor simulation compatibility. In this paper, we present GarmentWeaver, a schema-aware framework for multimodal Sewing pattern generation. GarmentWeaver constructs compact hierarchical targets by activating garment-relevant structural branches and predicts executable Sewing patterns in a structured manner. Specifically, we introduce a schema-aware target construction strategy, build the generator on top of a pretrained vision-language model for multimodal garment understanding, and impose feasibility-aware regularization to encourage structurally valid and simulation-compatible outputs. Extensive experiments show that GarmentWeaver produces more accurate and more executable sewing patterns than strong baselines, while also yielding better simulation results. These findings demonstrate the effectiveness of schema-aware structured generation for reliable multimodal Sewing pattern prediction.

CookVoice: Unified Framework for Style Controllable Multi-Modal Human Voice Generation

Human voice generation has made rapid progress in speech generation, singing voice generation, voice cloning, and voice editing. However, most existing systems are designed for specific tasks and often rely on task-dependent architectures, control signals, or autoregressive decoding, limiting fine-grained controllability and inference efficiency. In this paper, we propose CookVoice, a unified framework for multimodal, multi-style, and multi-task human voice generation. CookVoice decomposes the human voice into three key factors: content, prosody, and style, enabling both speech and singing voice generation within a unified model. To achieve precise and flexible controllability, we design a flexible alignment strategy that maps text, style, and prosody control signals onto the frame-level of spectrogram. This design allows CookVoice to support a wide range of tasks, including text-to-speech, text-to-singing voice, style-controllable generation, voice mimicry, voice conversion, and voice editing. Experimental results show that CookVoice achieves generation quality comparable to existing Text-to-Speech and text-to-singing voice baselines, while providing stronger style and prosody controllability. Moreover, CookVoice achieves comparable performance to large-scale baselines with only 43.51 million parameters and efficient inference using as few as 4 ODE steps, making it a practical solution for real-world human voice generation applications. Towards Expressive and Faithful Audio-to-Image Generation: A Unified Multimodal Dataset and Synthesis Framework

As an important subfield of cross-modal generation, synthesizing static visual content in the form of images from audio, namely audio-to-image (A2I) generation, has attracted increasing research attention in recent years. Nevertheless, despite the remarkable visual quality of modern text-to-image (T2I) models, the performance of A2I remains fundamentally limited by traditional datasets, which often lack both high-fidelity images and precise cross-modal alignment. As a result, existing methods still struggle to achieve high-quality audio-to-image generation through finetuning strong T2I models, thereby constraining practical applications in this area. Motivated by this gap, we introduce A2I-Set, a unified, high-quality tri-modal dataset consisting of 323K paired audio, images, and detailed text captions, specifically designed for audio-visual research, including audio-conditioned image generation. Besides, we developed a new mixed-source test set for the A2I task through human supervision. We further propose an A2I model, AudioCanvas, fine-tuned on our A2I-Set. Experiments show that AudioCanvas achieves more visually expressive as well as cross-modal alignment results that generally outperforming existing approaches. Our dataset and source code are available at https://github.com/gdx012/A2I-Generation.

Aero Realtime: Fully Aligned Input-Output Streams for Low-Latency Streaming Multimodal Generation

Existing streaming multimodal models process observations incrementally but still follow a turn-based prefill-then-decode pattern, making them non-duplex: new observations cannot naturally enter an active generation stream. Proactive alternatives use micro-turn polling or external response gates, which fragment continuous interaction, decouple response timing from language generation, and complicate KV-cache-friendly serving. We introduce Aero Realtime, a 4B streaming multimodal model with a duplex architecture for realtime generation. Aero Realtime aligns video, audio, and textual output on a shared temporal grid, where each approximately 80-ms audio slot predicts either a lexical token or a silence token. This allows input and output to advance together, enabling one autoregressive objective to learn both when to respond and what to generate. During inference, Aero Realtime appends only the newest multimodal slot, carries forward the previous output state, and reuses the KV cache for efficient incremental execution. We further provide a complete training and serving recipe, including realtime QA construction, slot-aligned supervision, hardware-aware distributed training, and resumable inference. On four NVIDIA A6000 workstation GPUs, Aero Realtime maintains 84-ms median and 173-ms P95 processing lag over 20 minutes of a continuously streamed video, remaining within 200~ms of the source timeline. These results demonstrate the feasibility of fully aligned input-output modeling for duplex, proactive, and hardware-aligned multimodal interaction.

Monte Carlo Tree Search for Table-to-Multimodal Report Generation

Automatically generating professional multimodal reports comprising both textual analysis and visual charts from structured tabular data is a critical challenge in data intelligence. Existing methods suffer from fixed linear pipelines and isolated subtask processing, which hinder joint optimization of factual accuracy, visual quality, and narrative coherence. To address these issues, this paper proposes MCTS-Report, a Monte Carlo Tree Search (MCTS)-driven framework that formulates multimodal table-to-report generation as a progressive construction process over a structured search space. The core idea is to decompose report generation into atomic actions, including chapter planning, visualization task identification, chart generation, insight organization, and narrative refinement, each executed by an LLM based on dynamic reasoning conditioned on the current report state. We use an LLM to generate step-by-step reasoning and actions during MCTS, storing the reasoning trajectory in each node for context-aware, coherent report construction. To guide the search, we design a multi-dimensional reward function that jointly evaluates numerical fact consistency (via SQL), chart quality, chart-text alignment, and structural completeness, while incorporating a diversity penalty to suppress repeated charts and a precondition check to prune invalid actions. We also construct MMRBench, a comprehensive benchmark comprising real-world tables from six domains, paired with expert-refined reference report structures and verifiable key insights. Experiments on MMRBench demonstrate that MCTS-Report significantly outperforms strong baselines across structural completeness, numerical accuracy, chart-text alignment, and insight novelty, achieving a 77.9 overall score.

Pattern over Pixels: Measuring Pattern Completion Bias in Multimodal Code Generation

Multimodal large language models (MLLMs) are increasingly used to translate webpage screenshots into front-end code, but repeated UI patterns may sway them toward visually incorrect yet pattern-consistent outputs. In this work, we test how repeated webpage patterns hurt MLLM accuracy on an objective screenshot-to-code fill-in-the-blank task. We introduce the first benchmark for visual pattern-completion bias, where one localized element in a repeated UI pattern is perturbed and the model must recover the masked width or font-size value from the screenshot and HTML context. Starting from 30 webpages curated from the Design2Code dataset, we build 1,440 evaluated screenshots spanning structural card and text-style patterns under standard and noise-overlaid conditions. We evaluate five frontier MLLMs and find that all are strongly biased toward the repeated baseline. Mean bias rate reaches 69.78% on card-width perturbations and 80.22% on text font-size perturbations, while mean accuracy is only 21.17% and 7.89%, respectively. Codex-5.3 performs best but still drops from 68.61% accuracy on cards to 13.89% on text, while Flash-3.0 reaches 96.11% bias on text. Noise, subtler perturbations, and boundary positions further increase bias rate. Reasoning analysis further shows that greater reasoning effort correlates with lower bias, yet qualitative evidence reveals that models can identify the anomalous element and still override it with the pattern-consistent answer. Our results identify a concrete failure mode in multimodal code generation and show that its severity is strongly associated with visual saliency

PosterMELD: Multi-Agent Paper-to-Poster Generation for Controllable Design Diversity with Editable Print-Ready Outputs

Scientific poster construction compresses a long multimodal paper into a readable, editable canvas. Existing systems hide request-level failures by scoring only completed outputs; direct image generation is not element-editable, while coding-agent workflows are costly. PosterMELD is a template-conditioned multi-agent pipeline: capacity-aware slots guide writing before rendering, and deterministic gates plus vision-language model (VLM) review route failures to bounded repair. Each accepted request exports editable PowerPoint (PPTX) and Portable Network Graphics (PNG) artifacts; explicit design controls yield same-paper variants. Across 621 papers, Print-Ready Rate (PRR) counts requests passing geometric, readability, asset-integrity, and obvious-factual-error checks, with native editability reported separately. A frozen VLM assigns conditional Craftsmanship-Harmony-Expressiveness (CHE) scores to print-ready outputs. PosterMELD attains 81.3% PRR, 3.4 times P2P's rate and 5.2 times PosterGen's, and the highest conditional CHE among generated methods with multiple print-ready outputs. Native editability and explicit design controls are retained at a mean cost of USD 0.38 per request, 3.5% of Codex+Skill's. Code and resources are available at https://github.com/Shannon4Science/PosterMELD.

Contrastive Parameter Disentanglement for Multi-modal Remote Sensing Image Generation

Existing remote sensing image generation methods are largely confined to single-modality synthesis and therefore fail to exploit the complementary information inherent in multimodal imagery. To address this limitation, we propose a contrastive parameter disentanglement framework for multimodal remote sensing image generation, which generates semantically consistent and structurally aligned images across multiple modalities, including optical, infrared, and synthetic aperture radar (SAR), from a single text prompt. Specifically, we introduce a contrastive parameter disentanglement module that disentangles shared semantics from modality-specific attributes at the parameter level within an orthogonal core subspace. Based on this module, we develop a disentangled optimization strategy that first constrains the parameter matrix A of the LoRA adapter to capture modality-invariant semantics through a multimodal contrastive objective and then guides multiple parameter matrices B to learn modality-specific attributes under text conditioning. This strategy enables the simultaneous generation of multimodal images with consistent semantic content and distinct modality characteristics. Furthermore, to ensure structural alignment across the generated images, we devise a query-key structure transfer mechanism that jointly models multimodal sampling trajectories during inference by transferring structural correlation priors from an anchor modality to the remaining modalities. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method outperforms state-of-the-art remote sensing image generation approaches in terms of generation quality, semantic consistency, and structural alignment, while also achieving superior performance in the downstream object classification task.

JarvisHub: An Open Harness for Canvas-Native Multimodal Creative Agents

Creative AI is moving from single-step asset generation toward long-horizon multimodal production. Although recent generative models can synthesize high-quality images, videos, audio clips, UI elements, storyboards, slides, and other creative assets, real-world creative work requires more than isolated prompt-output interactions. It involves references, drafts, alternatives, edits, failed attempts, version relations, tool actions, evaluation signals, and human feedback, which together form an evolving project state. Existing prompt-based, chat-based, and node-based generation systems only partially support this state, as they often discard intermediate context, rely on linear conversations, or require manually specified workflows. Recent commercial systems indicate a shift toward agent-assisted creative production, but their closed architectures make it difficult to study how agents represent context, choose tools, revise artifacts, recover from failures, and maintain consistency over time. To address this gap, we introduce JarvisHub, a canvas-native creative agent harness for long-horizon multimodal creation. JarvisHub treats an editable canvas as the user workspace, the agent's external memory, action space, and shared project state, representing multimodal artifacts, dependencies, versions, and feedback as typed canvas nodes and links. Through a three-layer architecture of canvas state, protocol bridge, and agent runtime, JarvisHub enables agents to act within an inspectable and editable creative state. This design moves creative agents beyond isolated tool use toward sustained, human-steerable creative automation, where agents can progressively plan, generate, revise, and organize multimodal projects while users remain able to inspect, guide, and intervene throughout the process.

M3^3-Gen: Interpretable Multimodal Generation of Gene Expression Profiles Using Clinical and Imaging Data

Integrating heterogeneous biomedical data, including clinical metadata, histopathology images, and molecular profiles, is crucial for comprehensive disease understanding. However, gene expression data acquisition remains constrained by high costs and privacy concerns, limiting its use in multimodal research and AI-driven applications. We present MultiModal Molecular Generation (M3^3-Gen), a novel framework for the generation of gene expression profiles by conditioning a Generative Adversarial Network on histopathology images and clinical metadata. M3^3-Gen learns a unified latent representation from the clinical variables and the images, leveraging contrastive learning, and exploits the embeddings of the two modalities to guide a generative model in producing biologically coherent gene expression profiles. Evaluations on the TCGA dataset demonstrate that M3^3-Gen generates realistic and functionally meaningful gene expression data. Importantly, by integrating multiple modalities in an attention-based mechanism, M3^3-Gen provides intrinsic explainability: it allows the identification of which regions of the histopathology images most strongly influenced the generation of specific gene expression profiles, making the model's decisions interpretable by design.

VQ-Touch: A Data-Efficient Tactile Generation Framework Across Sensors and Scenarios

Tactile image generation significantly reduces the dependency on expensive and wear-prone sensors by synthesizing high-fidelity tactile data, offering an efficient solution for tactile information acquisition in robotic perception and human-machine interaction systems. However, existing methods depend on large-scale, diverse datasets from specific sensors and lack efficient data utilization and robust generalization capabilities, struggling in vision-limited environments. To address this, we introduce VQ-Touch, a tactile generation framework that supports both cross-sensor and multi-scenario applications. Specifically, to efficiently extract complex deformation and texture features from the data, we propose DM-VQGAN, an effective tactile representation learner. Furthermore, we introduce a discrete diffusion decoder with a unified conditioning interface, supporting multimodal generation tasks such as images and labels, and enhances the model's generalization capability through few-shot mixed training, thus achieving compatibility with current mainstream sensors and their variants. Experiments show that VQ-Touch surpasses state-of-the-art methods in multiple tasks.

Concurrent Image Understanding and Generation: Self-Correcting Coupled Markov Jump Processes

Human cognition does not separate understanding and generation. A teacher at a whiteboard speaks and draws together\textit{together}, each modality reshapes the other. In this paper, we bring this coupled loop to artificial systems. Masked Diffusion Models (MDMs) are ideally suited to this task, yet existing samplers either decode text and image interleavedly or independently update them in parallel branches that share only previous-step history, but not the other modality's latest decisions within\textit{within} the same step; combined with MDMs' inability to remask, cross-modal contradictions are neither detected nor repaired. We introduce Self-Correcting Coupled Markov Jump Processes (SC-CMJP)\textbf{Self-Correcting Coupled Markov Jump Processes (SC-CMJP)}, a framework in which one modality's transition rates are functionals of the other modality's confidence score, as weighted by cross-modal attention. Furthermore, a remasking jump retracts commitments the moment cross-modal evidence turns against them. In conjunction with SC-CMJP, we introduce CO2Jump\texttt{CO}_\texttt{2}\texttt{Jump} (Self-CO\underline{\text{CO}}rrecting CO\underline{\text{CO}}upled Jump\underline{\text{Jump}}), a novel training-free single-pass sampler for joint multimodal geneneration. For training and evaluation purposes, we have created and will release three large-scale joint multimodal generation corpora: JEdit-1M\text{JEdit-1M}, JMaze-200K\text{JMaze-200K}, JNono-200K\text{JNono-200K}, with matching in- and out-of-distribution benchmarks. CO2Jump\texttt{CO}_\texttt{2}\texttt{Jump} achieves best joint performance for image understanding and editing as well as visual reasoning (maze and nonogram solving). The performance of the sampler scales monotonically with the number of denoising steps, evidence that the benefits of cross-modal coupling compound\textit{compound} across the trajectory. Boogu-Image-0.1: Boosting Open-Source Unified Multimodal Understanding and Generation

We introduce Boogu-Image-0.1, an open-source unified multimodal understanding and generation model family, comprising Base, Turbo, Edit, and Edit-Turbo variants. It delivers competitive performance in high-quality text-to-image generation, fast inference, instruction-based editing, and bilingual (Chinese-English) text rendering. Closed-source multimodal systems like Nano-Banana-Pro and GPT-Image-2 achieve strong performance through system-level integration rather than a single model, yet their internal practices remain largely undisclosed. In this work, we demonstrate that targeted improvements in model understanding, data quality, and training pipelines, coupled with agentic inference-time scaling, can substantially enhance generation and editing performance even under highly constrained compute budgets. Comprehensive evaluations show that Boogu-Image-0.1 consistently matches or surpasses other open-source models across standard benchmarks, and achieves results approaching leading closed-source systems. Notably, this is accomplished with only 208.62 million unique images. The base model's theoretical training cost is only approximately $400K. We share practical discussions that we believe are valuable to the broader research community, and release weights, code, and recipes under Apache 2.0 to advance the open ecosystem for unified multimodal understanding and generation. Reinforcing the Generation Order of Multimodal Masked Diffusion Models

Diffusion Language Models (DLMs) have recently achieved substantial progress in natural language generation tasks. Recent research demonstrates that adaptive token generation ordering can significantly improve performance in mathematical reasoning and code synthesis applications. In this work, we investigate the optimization of generation order for both text-to-image synthesis and multimodal understanding. We first establish that, unlike structured problems in language generation such as Sudoku puzzles, model logits alone are insufficient for determining optimal generation sequences in text-to-image generation and multimodal understanding. To address this challenge, we introduce a learnable control module trained via Group Relative Policy Optimization (GRPO) to determine the generation order. Our results demonstrate that learning this control block substantially improves both text-to-image alignment and multimodal understanding in DLMs. In particular, it enhances the model's ability to capture fine-grained spatial relationships in generated images while also strengthening performance on multimodal reasoning and comprehension tasks. We evaluate our framework on GenEval, an object-focused benchmark for text-to-image alignment, where it achieves 4.08% relative improvements. In addition, experiments on VLMEvalKit confirm 4.85% relative improvements in multimodal understanding, highlighting the broad effectiveness of our approach.

Vision as Unified Multimodal Generation

We formulate computer vision as unified multimodal generation, where heterogeneous visual tasks are expressed in the native text and image generation spaces of a unified multimodal model, without task-specific architectures. Under this formulation, SenseNova-Vision uses natural-language instructions and optional visual prompts to specify tasks, target regions or views, and decoding conventions, and generates responses as text for symbolic outputs, images for dense spatial predictions, or mixed text-and-image outputs for compositional tasks. To support large-scale training, we convert diverse computer vision annotations into instruction-response examples compatible with these generation spaces, resulting in the SenseNova-Vision Corpus, a computer-vision instruction-response corpus spanning text, image, and mixed targets. Starting from an off-the-shelf pretrained unified multimodal model, SenseNova-Vision is trained primarily on this corpus, with auxiliary multimodal data used as a capability-preserving mixture, and requires no task-specific prediction heads or architectural modifications. The resulting model covers a broad range of vision tasks, including detection, OCR, keypoint estimation, segmentation, depth estimation, surface normal prediction, point maps, and camera pose estimation, while supporting language-defined variants that combine category, color, region, and other visual cues. Experiments show that a single unified model can match leading task-specialized systems across structured visual understanding, dense geometric prediction, segmentation, and multi-view visual geometry. These results suggest unified multimodal generation as a scalable route for integrating computer vision capabilities into general-purpose foundation models. The model and corpus are publicly available.

Light-Omni: Reflex over Reasoning in Agentic Video Understanding with Long-Term Memory

Agentic video understanding equips models with long-term memory to autonomously process and respond to continuous, long-horizon multimodal streams. However, advanced video agents often rely on ``detective-style'' iterative reasoning for action control (e.g., search\mathtt{search}) and evidence aggregation, incurring prohibitive costs and latency. We argue that such heavy reasoning primarily compensates for the lack of global context and semantic misalignment in retrieval. This paper introduces Light-Omni, a multimodal agent framework for reflexive and lightweight video understanding. It achieves this through dual contextual states that instantly build the required context in a single forward pass. First, we maintain a global state, a finite-sized multimodal script continuously consolidated from episodic memory, serving as the global context for Light-Omni. Through hierarchical merging, it preserves recent details while summarizing past events. Second, conditioned on this global context, we generate a parametric latent state that directly drives autonomous actions and produces retrieval embeddings, with minimal latency. Benefiting from this coupled design, Light-Omni achieves semantically aligned retrieval and reflexive responses while avoiding iterative reasoning. Extensive experiments validate the effectiveness of Light-Omni across multiple video benchmarks. Notably, it outperforms M3-Agent with an average 2.4% accuracy gain, a 12.1×\times speedup, and a 2.6×\times improvement in GPU memory efficiency. Furthermore, it serves as a memory system to enhance both the performance and efficiency of existing MLLMs. Project page: https://clare-nie.github.io/Light-Omni.

Attending to Multimodal Generation One Token at a Time

Multimodal large language models (MLLMs) generate responses autoregressively, integrating visual and linguistic information in an evolving context. Prior work on interpretability has focused on individual layers and circuits (where), leaving the token-level dynamics of multimodal computation during generation (when) underexplored. We address this gap and study attention shifts as per semantic role; tracking model attention to image, text, instruction, and previously generated tokens, One Token at a Time (OTaT). We introduce multimodal tasks that require explicit switching between visual and textual context within a single response. Across two mainstream model families and four open-weight MLLMs of varying sizes, we establish consistent patterns: attention to image peaks at tokens requiring image-derived information, instruction tokens are revisited during task transitions, and attention to previously generated tokens increases as the generation progresses. Causal attention blocking interventions validate the functional role of these trends. We profile model behavior under disrupted attention and observe responses falling back to language priors, or exhibiting cross-modal leakage, denial, or recovery. Finally, informed of the attention dynamics through our novel analysis, we propose a simple test-time intervention to boost attention to the relevant modality at the right time, significantly improving multimodal task performance.

SICAGE: Speaker-Independent Culture-Aware Gesture Generation using TED4C-L Dataset

Recent co-speech gesture generation methods often overlook cultural differences, limiting their effectiveness in human-agent interaction. Moreover, culture-conditioned models are rarely evaluated under speaker-disjoint splits, so apparent "cultural" behavior may be confounded with speaker-specific gesturing style. We introduce SICAGE, a modular framework for culture-aware co-speech gesture generation that conditions motion synthesis models on speaker-independent cultural representations. SICAGE learns these representations from audio and text by treating each speaker as a separate domain while imposing invariance across speakers. This encourages representations to remain culture-discriminative while reducing dependence on speaker identity. The resulting cultural embeddings condition a multimodal generator to produce culturally appropriate gestures. We instantiate this idea with two domain generalization approaches: adversarial learning and Fishr regularization. We further introduce ALaDiT, a real-time diffusion-based gesture generator designed to efficiently incorporate the learned cultural embeddings. To validate our method, we built TED4C-L, a 106-hour multimodal dataset of 764 TED speakers from four cultural groups. Experiments show that SICAGE improves motion realism, diversity, beat synchronization, semantic relevance, and cultural consistency.

Navigating User Behavior toward Personalized Multimodal Generation

Modern AIGC pipelines deliver high-fidelity images and videos but presuppose a well-formed creation instruction, while end users rarely articulate visual details, leaving generators misaligned with user demand. We study personalized content generation, which turns a user's interaction history into an executable instruction for downstream synthesis, and identify two obstacles: behavior must be encoded in a form legible to language reasoning, and the model must acquire instruction-writing skill absent from both pretraining and behavior data. We propose NaviGen, which represents each item with a dual identifier coupling a collaborative code and a textual code as a behavioral substrate and a semantic bridge in one token stream. On this representation, a two-stage SFT+RL pipeline first distills preference reasoning and instruction writing from evolutionarily searched supervision, then aligns generation with user intent through hierarchical and self-consistent rewards. Experiments across product, game, and short-video domains show that NaviGen improves personalized image and video generation, strengthens next-item prediction, and yields more specific, relevant, and visually generatable instructions. Our code is released at: https://github.com/iLearn-Lab/NaviGen.

TailorMind: Towards Preference-Aligned Multimodal Content Generation

Personalized content systems depend on available UGC and struggle when suitable content is absent, delayed, or costly to create. Although multimodal generators can synthesize content on demand, how to translate behavioral traces into generation-ready preferences remains underexplored. We study personalized multimodal content generation: creating user-tailored multimodal content without existing item pools or waiting for matching UGC. We propose TailorMind, linking collaborative preference modeling with controllable multimodal generation. TailorMind enriches sparse user histories via hypergraph collaborative filtering and optimizes textual profiles with ranking-error feedback and textual gradient descent. Retrieval-augmented style control grounds outputs in authentic UGC patterns, while cross-modal cohesion reflection reduces semantic drift. We construct TailorBench, a benchmark from three mainstream platforms evaluated along five dimensions: coherence, novelty, aesthetic, hallucination, profiling. Experiments show that TailorMind achieves competitive or stronger coherence, improves novelty and aesthetic quality over representative generation baselines and ground-truth UGC, demonstrating advantages over retrieving available content or comparable UGC, while achieving up to 29% Recall gains in reranking. Our code is released at: https://github.com/iLearn-Lab/TailorMind.

DataClaw0: Agentic Tailoring Multimodal Data from Raw Streams

Massive unstructured multimodal streams suffer from high "data entropy," impeding both efficient human knowledge acquisition and high-quality AI post-training. Existing passive annotation paradigms, heavily reliant on heuristic rules or general VLMs, are costly, monotonous, and fail to unlock the deep procedural logic embedded in raw data. We elevate data processing to a learnable capability, proposing a paradigm shift towards Agentic Data Tailoring, which actively refining and structuring data to align with diverse user and downstream intents. To overcome the data scarcity bottleneck in training such high-order capabilities, we design a two-stage pipeline grounding generative semantic synthesis in deterministic Factual Anchors, yielding a large-scale dataset spanning five core physical and digital domains. Building upon this, DataClaw0\text{DataClaw}_0-9B model synergizes Supervised Fine-Tuning (SFT) with Group Relative Policy Optimization (GRPO), achieving robust alignment with complex refinement and tailoring intents. To systematically quantify this capability, we construct DataClaw0\text{DataClaw}_0-val, the first benchmark dedicated to data refinement. Crucially, we adopt downstream post-training as the ultimate validation touchstone. Evaluations on video generation, real-world VQA, and GUI navigation confirm that DataClaw0\text{DataClaw}_0 delivers high-information-density tailored data, facilitating efficient model adaptation to new tasks under limited training data regimes. MUNI: Multimodal Unified Latent Diffusion for Coherent Any-to-Any Generation

We introduce MUNI, an end-to-end multimodal latent diffusion framework for any-to-any generation that unifies subset-conditioned cross-modal generation and unconditional joint sampling through a shared stochastic latent. Existing multimodal generative models are largely LLM-based, which limits leveraging modality-specific generators and requires text-paired data for training. Recent diffusion- and flow-based any-to-any extensions take a different direction but still rely on text-aligned embeddings, fully-paired training, or matched-dimensionality deterministic mappings. MUNI rests on two complementary contributions, one architectural and one in the training objective. First, we extend latent diffusion to multimodal any-to-any generation end-to-end: instead of the standard two-stage recipe that precomputes a frozen latent space and then fits a prior over it, MUNI jointly trains modality-specific encoders, expressive decoders, and a single shared flow-based prior under one objective. Second, we identify that the standard aggregation rules of multimodal variational inference are insufficient once coupled with a learned prior and expressive decoders. A suitable shared latent must simultaneously satisfy coherence across generated modalities, predictive sufficiency of subset latents, and minimality of the latent content. We propose a routed training objective whose structural choices align the latent with these criteria and admit a minimal-sufficiency characterization in the realizable setting. Experiments on PolyMNIST-Quadrant-Labels and a large-scale image-text-audio benchmark show MUNI matching or exceeding the strongest baselines on conditional generation while opening its largest margins on unconditional coherence. Mitigating Visual Hallucinations in Multimodal Systems through Retrieval-Augmented Reliability-Aware Inference

Multimodal large language models (MLLMs) have demonstrated strong capabilities in vision-language understanding and natural-language response generation. However, these systems can still produce overconfident predictions and hallucination-like outputs, particularly when the visual evidence is weak, ambiguous, or semantically inconsistent. Most existing approaches focus on improving multimodal representation alignment or retrieval-augmented generation, while providing limited mechanisms to quantify instance-level prediction reliability or identify incorrect visual outputs. This work proposes a retrieval-augmented reliability-aware inference framework for trustworthy multimodal visual understanding. The proposed framework constructs an external visual evidence database using pretrained visual embeddings and nearest-neighbor retrieval over normalized feature representations. Retrieved evidence is used to estimate prediction trustworthiness through multiple reliability indicators, including similarity strength, class-support agreement, evidence margin, entropy-based uncertainty, and an aggregate reliability score. Based on these signals, a decision gate determines whether the system should accept the prediction, answer with caution, or abstain/fallback when evidence is insufficient. A multimodal response-generation layer then produces a final user-facing response conditioned on the reliability decision. Experiments on ImageNet-100 demonstrate that the proposed reliability-aware framework improves accepted prediction accuracy from 85.84% to 88.88% at 89.04% coverage. The hallucination-like accepted wrong-answer rate is reduced from 14.16% to 11.12%. These results show that integrating retrieval evidence, reliability estimation, and selective decision gating can improve calibration and reduce overconfident visual errors without retraining large multimodal models.

TriAdReview: Triangular Adversarial Review Architecture for Multi-Model Technical Document Generation

Large language models (LLMs) are increasingly used for technical document generation, yet single-model outputs often suffer from over-engineering, security blind spots, and incomplete coverage. We propose TriAdReview, a triangular adversarial review architecture that employs two independent reviewer models (engineering and boundary perspectives) and a triangular judging mechanism to iteratively improve a generator model's output. We evaluate TriAdReview across five benchmark tasks - architecture design, code generation, proposal review, security audit, and requirements analysis - using three configurations: single model (baseline), dual model (single review), and triple model (full system). Results across 75 experiments (n=5 per cell) show that the triple model configuration achieves a 10.1% overall improvement over the single model baseline (26.2 vs. 23.8 out of 50; p<0.05, paired t-test), with particularly strong gains on security audit (+27.6%), code generation (+20.8%), and architecture design (+15.6%). A second scorer (mimo-v2.5-pro) confirms the direction with a smaller effect (+2.7%), suggesting moderate inter-rater agreement. However, the system shows a -7.5% degradation on requirements analysis, revealing that adversarial review architectures have a structural bias toward simplification that is counterproductive for completeness-oriented tasks. We analyze this boundary condition through a task-type framework and demonstrate that reviewer prompt adaptation partially mitigates the issue. Our findings provide the first empirical characterization of when multi-model adversarial review helps versus harms, with implications for the design of collaborative AI systems.

AudioX-Turbo: A Unified Framework for Efficient Anything-to-Audio Generation

Audio and music generation based on flexible multimodal control signals is a widely applicable topic, with the following key challenges: 1) a unified multimodal modeling framework, 2) large-scale, high-quality training data, and 3) the prohibitive inference cost of multi-step diffusion sampling. As such, we propose AudioX-Turbo, a unified and efficient framework for anything-to-audio generation that integrates varied multimodal conditions (i.e., text, video, and audio signals) in this work. AudioX-Turbo follows a teacher-student paradigm. The teacher AudioX-Base is built on a Multimodal Diffusion Transformer with a Multimodal Adaptive Fusion module that aligns diverse multimodal inputs for high-fidelity synthesis, and is then distilled into the few-step student AudioX-Turbo via Distribution Matching Distillation adapted to flow matching, complemented by a diffusion-based discriminator for high-quality few-step generation. To support the training of AudioX-Turbo, we construct a large-scale, high-quality dataset, IF-caps-Pro, comprising approximately 9.2M samples curated through a two-stage data collection and annotation pipeline. We benchmark AudioX-Turbo across a wide range of tasks, finding that our model achieves superior performance, especially on text-to-audio and text-to-music generation, while operating at only 4 sampling steps and requiring approximately 25x fewer function evaluations (NFE) than multi-step baselines. These results demonstrate that our method is capable of audio generation under flexible multimodal control, showing efficient and powerful instruction-following capabilities. The code and datasets will be available at https://zeyuet.github.io/AudioX-Turbo/.

Findings of the MAGMaR 2026 Shared Task

This overview paper presents the results of the shared task for the second workshop on Multimodal Augmented Generation via Multimodal Retrieval (MAGMaR). In this shared task participants submitted systems focused on either (i) video retrieval or (ii) grounded generation of articles given retrieved videos. Teams could submit to either task. For the retrieval task, we had 2 participating teams that submitted a total of 17 systems -- all of which beat a baseline derived from the winner of last year's shared task. On the generation side, we had 4 teams submit 16 systems. All teams had at least one generated report that was labeled the best by a human annotator.

Decoupling Semantics and Logic: A Training-Free Coarse-to-Fine Pipeline for Video Retrieval-Augmented Generation

This paper presents our system description for the 2nd Workshop on Multimodal Augmented Generation via MultimodAl Retrieval (MAGMaR). Addressing the critical challenges of cross-lingual long-video comprehension, strict persona adherence, and zero-hallucination temporal grounding, we propose a fully training-free, two-stage cascaded Video RAG pipeline. Our architecture strategically decouples semantic retrieval from cognitive logical reasoning through a modality-aware division of labor. In the first stage, a high-recall semantic pre-fetching module employs dense retrieval using only high-fidelity visual summaries and global text descriptions, explicitly isolating noisy modalities (e.g., OCR and ASR) to maintain a pristine vector space. In the second stage, an Adaptive, Iterative, and Reasoning-based (A.I.R.) filtering agent, powered by a commercial Large Language Model (LLM), performs fine-grained cognitive reranking. The agent re-incorporates full multimodal contexts to enforce strict logical alignment with user personas, effectively pruning semantically similar but logically irrelevant candidates. Finally, a Prompt Sculpting mechanism constrains the generator to synthesize the distilled subset into strictly formatted JSON responses with exact chunk-level citations. Evaluated on the RAG track, our resource-aware approach shows exceptional precision in both information retrieval and persona-conditioned generation.

Where Should Knowledge Enter? A Layered Framework for Knowledge Infusion in Multimodal Iterative Generative Model

Multimodal generative models produce fluent outputs but remain unreliable when generation must respect structured, domain-specific, or safety-critical knowledge. Existing methods incorporate knowledge through mechanisms such as prompt augmentation, guidance, latent editing, or fine-tuning, yet they are typically categorized by technique rather than by the component of the generative process they modify. We argue that knowledge infusion in iterative generative models is fundamentally anintervention-layer problem. Since thegenerative process unfolds as a trajectory of internal states, knowledge can act on four structurally distinct components of this process: the input/output boundary, the transition function, the intermediate state, and the model parameters. This maps to four intervention layers: surface, trajectory, latent, and parametric infusion. We instantiate the framework in diffusion models, map representative methods to all four layers, and derive design principles for multi-layer composition. In a controlled safety-alignment experiment using a multimodal knowledge graph with two diffusion backbones, we implement three of the four layers cumulatively, surface (input-side and output-side) and trajectory--latent (mid-generation). We show empirically that each additional layer addresses failure classes that prior layers cannot reach, reducing knowledge-violating outputs by 70.97% compared to vanilla generation and empirically confirming the framework's complementarity prediction.

UniCanvas: A Diffusion-base Unified Model for Text-in-Image Joint Generation

Recent years have seen remarkable progress in unified vision-language models handling both multimodal understanding and generation within a single architecture. While autoregressive VLMs can reason across modalities, they fail to generate high-quality images. In contrast, diffusion models produce photorealistic visuals yet struggle to generate coherent text, making it challenging to develop a single unified model that can seamlessly handle both visual and text generation. Recent advances suggest that language can be effectively embedded within visual representations, allowing models to reason about textual semantics directly from images. To this end, we propose UniCanvas, a first attempt that unifies diffusion models to generate interleaved multimodal contents through text-in-image generation. Diffusion models naturally capture transformations on a shared pixel canvas, which can be viewed as world models of visual change. Instead of producing discrete text tokens, the model learns to represent language as visual patterns inside images, leveraging its inherent multimodal embedding space. This design allows the model to "draw" text naturally within a single pixel canvas during image synthesis, achieving seamless multimodal generation. Experiments demonstrate that UniCanvas improves performance over previous unified models, positioning text-in-image generation with diffusion models as a promising unified multimodal generation paradigm.

Foley-Omni: A Unified Multimodal Generation Model from Task-Level Audio Synthesis to Complete Video Soundtrack Generation

Recent unified audio generation models can support diverse tasks across speech, sound effects, and music, but most of them still focus on isolated task-level synthesis. However, real video production often requires multiple components of a complete audio track to be generated jointly and consistently for the same video. We present Foley-Omni, a unified multimodal audio generation model that extends isolated task-level synthesis to complete video soundtrack generation by jointly modeling speech, sound effects, and music within a shared latent generation process. To support training and reproducible evaluation, we develop an audiovisual data curation pipeline and introduce V2ST-Bench, a benchmark for holistic video soundtrack generation evaluation. Experiments show that Foley-Omni achieves competitive performance with expert systems on individual synthesis tasks, while improving speech intelligibility, audiovisual consistency and perceptual quality for mixed soundtrack generation.

Compliance-Scored Best-of-N Guardrail Orchestration for Multimodal Document Generation in Payments Dispute Defense

High-stakes enterprise document generation, including financial dispute narratives, compliance notices, and audit summaries, demands schema correctness, policy compliance, and low-latency operation at scale. Prior to a unified guardrail layer, production systems often stitched together separate PII redaction, content moderation, and format validation steps, leading to fragmented logic, slower request paths, and higher operational cost. We present a guardrail orchestration layer for text and image inputs that couples multi-candidate generation with an explicit compliance score used for early exit. The framework runs configurable parallel generation heads, scores candidates against weighted guardrails including PII detection, content moderation, schema constraints, and domain rules, and returns the best-scoring output with selection metadata. The available operational readout reports 5 attempts within 20 seconds and 91 percent compliance. For payments dispute defense summaries, we analyze aggregate operational scenario readouts rather than a randomized A/B test. Variable cohorts show higher count win rates than controls overall, 301/659 versus 536/1548, corresponding to +11.0 percentage points with 95 percent confidence interval [6.6, 15.5] and p < 0.001, and for adjusted item-not-received cases, +7.5 percentage points with 95 percent confidence interval [0.2, 15.7] and p = 0.045. Fraud and local evidence-ranking deltas are directionally positive but not statistically significant from the aggregate count data. We also report reviewer-calibrated Responsible-AI evidence-quality signals from 770 generated-evidence reviews and a 70-case OCR slice, and document the reproducibility boundary through the request interface, scoring logic, pseudocode, and operational evidence boundary.

ProductWebGen: Benchmarking Multimodal Product Webpage Generation

Crafting a product display webpage from a source product image, along with layout and visual content instructions, holds significant practical value for domains such as marketing, advertising, and E-commerce. Intuitively, this task demands strict visual consistency across product displays and high-fidelity instruction following to jointly generate renderable HTML code. These requirements on controllability and instruction-following are closely aligned with the core features of advanced multimodal generative models, such as image editing models and unified models. To this end, this paper introduces ProductWebGen to systematically benchmark the product webpage generation capacities of these models. We organize ProductWebGen with 500 test samples covering 13 product categories; each sample consists of a source image, a visual content instruction, and a webpage instruction. The task is to generate a product showcase webpage including multiple consistent images in accordance with the source image and instructions. Given the mixed-modality input-output nature of the task, we design and systematically compare two workflows for evaluation -- one uses large language models and image editing models to separately generate HTML code and images (editing-based), while the other relies on a single UM to generate both, with image generation conditioned on the preceding multimodal context (UM-based). Empirical results show that editing-based approaches achieve leading results in webpage instruction following and content appeal, while UM-based ones may display more advantages in fulfilling visual content instructions. We also construct a supervised fine-tuning dataset, ProductWebGen-1k, with 1,000 groups of real product images and LLM-generated HTML code. We verify its effectiveness on the open-source UM BAGEL. DREAM-S: Speculative Decoding with Searchable Drafting and Target-Aware Refinement for Multimodal Generation

Speculative decoding (SD) has proven to be an effective technique for accelerating autoregressive generation in large language models (LLMs) however, its application to vision-language models (VLMs) remains relatively unexplored. We propose~\textit{DREAM-S}, a novel SD framework designed specifically for fast and efficient decoding in VLMs. DREAM-S leverages a neural architecture search (NAS) framework with target-aware supernet training to automatically identify both the optimal interaction strategy between the draft and target models, and the most suitable draft model architecture for the underlying hardware implementation platform. DREAM-S additionally incorporates adaptive intermediate feature distillation, guided by attention entropy, to enable efficient draft training. Experiments on a range of well-established VLMs show that DREAM-S achieves up to a 3.85×3.85\times speedup compared to standard decoding approaches and significantly outperforms existing SD baselines. TIGER: Traceable Inference with Graph-Based Evidence Routing for Mitigating Hallucinations in Multimodal Generation

We study fact-level repair for multimodal generation, where a fluent output may contain specific facts that are not supported by the input. Existing inference-time repair methods often generate feedback by jointly conditioning on the input and the current output. This design has two limitations: hallucinated claims in the output can bias the model's interpretation of the input, and free-form feedback cannot be ranked or scheduled at the fact level. We present TIGER, an inference-time framework that redesigns feedback for localized repair. TIGER independently extracts an observation graph from the input and a claim graph from the current output, then assigns each claim a graph-conditioned risk score based on support and conflict. The model repairs selected high-risk claims while keeping the backbone frozen. We provide a convergence analysis showing that the expected total risk decreases geometrically to an explicit asymptotic bound under mild assumptions. Experiments across four cross-modal paths, including image-to-text, image+text-to-text, audio-to-text, and video-to-text, show that TIGER reduces unsupported content while preserving task quality. The gains hold across multiple backbones, and a CrisisFACTS case study suggests that the same repair mechanism can improve grounding in multi-source settings.

MultiAct: Text-to-Motion Generation from Composite Text via Tailored Attention Guidance

Text-to-motion generation has progressed rapidly in recent years, offering an expressive interface for animation and human-computer interaction. However, current models remain brittle when handling prompts that describe multiple actions occurring at the same time. Rather than realizing all components of a composite description, models frequently prioritize a single dominant action and neglect the rest, leading to incomplete or ambiguous motion. We present MultiAct, an unpaired, inference-time framework for compositional text-to-motion synthesis that operates directly on pretrained motion generators without retraining or architectural modification. Our method counteracts semantic collapse by adaptively amplifying cross-attention scores associated with underrepresented prompt components. We note that effective modulation depends on prompt-specific choices, such as which tokens and layers to target, and introduce a lightweight auxiliary decision scheme that determines the most effective attention-strengthening parametrization. Extensive quantitative and qualitative evaluations demonstrate that MultiAct consistently outperforms existing baselines on composite prompts, achieving improved semantic coverage while preserving motion realism. Archon: A Unified Multimodal Model for Holistic Digital Human Generation

MARS Policy: Multimodality Only When It Matters

Imitation learning has become a cornerstone for solving complex robotic manipulation tasks. In particular, multimodality, which enables robots to capture diverse yet valid behavioral patterns, has driven the rapid emergence of generative policies as a dominant paradigm in robot learning. However, achieving such multimodality typically relies on stochastic noise initialization and iterative denoising procedures, resulting in substantial training complexity and low inference efficiency. Meanwhile, not all phases of a robotic task inherently require behavioral diversity. Motivated by this insight, we propose the Modality-Adaptive Robot Sampling (MARS) policy, which adaptively invokes tailored stochasticity only when it is truly beneficial, while reverting to an efficient deterministic learning during single-modal phases. In other words, the proper amount of noise is injected only at the proper time. By selectively activating multimodal generation, MARS policy bridges the gap between the multimodal capability of generative policies and the superior training and inference efficiency of deterministic models. Empirical studies across 8 simulated and 4 real-world tasks demonstrate that MARS exhibits robust multimodal expressivity and high efficiency, with a 16.67% success rate improvement and an 83.20% inference latency reduction in real-world tests. Counterintuitively, MARS also outpaces deterministic policies in training efficiency on near-deterministic tasks by more effectively modeling nuanced action diversity.

Utility-Aware Multimodal Contrastive Learning for Product Image Generation

Product images strongly influence consumer decision-making in online marketplaces. Empowered by multimodal contrastive learning, generative AI can output images that closely align with text prompts. Yet existing generative AI models do not directly optimize marketplace performance. This is a critical gap, since semantic alignment alone does not guarantee that an image will sell. To address this limitation, we propose a \textit{utility-aware multimodal contrastive learning} framework that incorporates consumer demand into a novel Utility-Aware InfoNCE loss. Optimizing this utility-aware objective guides generation toward images that are both semantically coherent and demand-enhancing. This effect arises directly from a shift in the learned image-text representation space toward demand-driven visual cues, which we also validate through the theoretical bound of the proposed objective. In downstream applications on Amazon and Airbnb, product images generated and edited by our method outperform state-of-the-art models in increasing demand and preserving fidelity, while maintaining text-image consistency. Notably, our utility-aware framework preserves inverse U-shaped demand patterns for attributes such as aesthetics and uniqueness, improving demand-based performance while preserving fidelity and semantic consistency. Human-subject experiments further validate its commercial effectiveness. As generative AI technology continues to evolve, our utility-aware component can be flexibly embedded into emerging generative models to improve direct commercial use.

Squeezing Capacity from Multimodal Large Language Models for Subject-driven Generation

Subject-driven image generation aims to synthesize new images that preserve the identity of the given subject while following textual instructions. Existing approaches often encode text and reference images separately. This limits cross-modal reasoning abilities and causes copy-paste artifacts. Recent frameworks that connect multimodal models and diffusion models improve instruction following, but largely overlook identity preservation. To address these limitations, we condition diffusion models on Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs) that jointly encode text and reference images, and augment it with VAE-based identity conditioning. A novel Dual Layer Aggregation (DLA) module is designed to aggregate multi-level MLLM features for optimal conditioning, and a multi-stage denoising strategy is applied to progressively balance the semantic information from MLLM and fine-detail identity from VAE during inference. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our approach harmonizes multimodal understanding with identity preservation, mitigates copy-paste issues, and achieves superior performance regarding human preference on subject-driven image generation. MAVEN A Multi-Agent Framework for Multicultural Text-to-Video Generation

Text-to-video (T2V) generation has rapidly progressed in visual fidelity, yet its ability to faithfully represent multiple cultures within a single prompt remains underexplored. We introduce MAVEN, a multi-agent prompt refinement framework designed to improve cultural fidelity in both mono-cultural and cross-cultural T2V generation. MAVEN decomposes prompts into person, action, and location dimensions, handled by specialized agents operating in parallel or sequentially. To support systematic evaluation, we contribute a new benchmark of 243 culturally grounded prompts and 972 corresponding videos, spanning three cultures (Chinese, American, Romanian), three action categories, and both mono-cultural and cross-cultural scenarios. Evaluations combining CLIP-based metrics, VLM-as-judge assessments, and videoquality measures show that multi-agent refinement, particularly parallel specialization, significantly improves cultural relevance while preserving visual quality and temporal consistency. Controlla: Learning Controllability via Graph-Constrained Latent Geometry

Controllable multimodal generation is commonly formulated as an inference-time conditioning problem using prompts, guidance, or auxiliary modules. While effective, such approaches do not explicitly structure how semantic attributes evolve, which can lead to identity drift and inconsistent cross-modal behavior. We propose Controlla, a modular factorized-control framework that treats controllability as a property of structured latent geometry. Controlla learns identity and attribute factors from multimodal inputs and aligns them with graph priors using graph-constrained optimal transport, encouraging attributes to follow graph-consistent trajectories while preserving reference identity. To evaluate this setting, we construct AffectHuman-43K, a leakage-aware multimodal benchmark for reference-grounded affective control, and introduce geometry-aware metrics for trajectory consistency and latent disentanglement. Experiments show consistent improvements in controllability, identity preservation, and cross-modal alignment, with additional analyses on graph sensitivity, extensibility, and robustness.

StyleTextGen: Style-Conditioned Multilingual Scene Text Generation

Style-conditioned scene text generation faces unique challenges in extracting precise text styles from complex backgrounds and maintaining fine-grained style consistency across characters, especially for multilingual scripts. We propose StyleTextGen, a novel framework that learns to perceive and replicate visual text styles across different languages and writing systems. Our approach features three key contributions: First, we introduce a dual-branch style encoder dedicated to style modeling, yielding robust multilingual text style representations in complex real-world scenes. Second, we design a text style consistency loss that enhances style coherence and improves overall visual quality. Third, we develop a mask-guided inference strategy that ensures precise style alignment between generated and reference text. To facilitate systematic evaluation, we construct StyleText-CE, a bilingual scene text style benchmark covering both monolingual and cross-lingual settings. Extensive experiments demonstrate that StyleTextGen significantly outperforms existing methods in style consistency and cross-lingual generalization, establishing new state-of-the-art performance in multilingual style-conditioned text generation.

Diagnosing and Correcting Concept Omission in Multimodal Diffusion Transformers

Multimodal Diffusion Transformers (MM-DiTs) have achieved remarkable progress in text-to-image generation, yet they frequently suffer from concept omission, where specified objects or attributes fail to emerge in the generated image. By performing linear probing on text tokens, we demonstrate that text embeddings can distinguish a characteristic `omission signal' representing the absence of target concepts. Leveraging this insight, we propose Omission Signal Intervention (OSI), which amplifies the omission signal to actively catalyze the generation of missing concepts. Comprehensive experiments on FLUX.1-Dev and SD3.5-Medium demonstrate that OSI significantly alleviates concept omission even in extreme scenarios.

AlphaGRPO: Unlocking Self-Reflective Multimodal Generation in UMMs via Decompositional Verifiable Reward

In this paper, we propose AlphaGRPO, a novel framework that applies Group Relative Policy Optimization (GRPO) to AR-Diffusion Unified Multimodal Models (UMMs) to enhance multimodal generation capabilities without an additional cold-start stage. Our approach unlocks the model's intrinsic potential to perform advanced reasoning tasks: Reasoning Text-to-Image Generation, where the model actively infers implicit user intents, and Self-Reflective Refinement, where it autonomously diagnoses and corrects misalignments in generated outputs. To address the challenge of providing stable supervision for real-world multimodal generation, we introduce the Decompositional Verifiable Reward (DVReward). Unlike holistic scalar rewards, DVReward utilizes an LLM to decompose complex user requests into atomic, verifiable semantic and quality questions, which are then evaluated by a general MLLM to provide reliable and interpretable feedback. Extensive experiments demonstrate that AlphaGRPO yields robust improvements across multimodal generation benchmarks, including GenEval, TIIF-Bench, DPG-Bench and WISE, while also achieving significant gains in editing tasks on GEdit without training on editing tasks. These results validate that our self-reflective reinforcement approach effectively leverages inherent understanding to guide high-fidelity generation. PresentAgent-2: Towards Generalist Multimodal Presentation Agents

Presentation generation is moving beyond static slide creation toward end-to-end presentation video generation with research grounding, multimodal media, and interactive delivery. We introduce PresentAgent-2, an agentic framework for generating presentation videos from user queries. Given an open-ended user query and a selected presentation mode, PresentAgent-2 first summarizes the query into a focused topic and performs deep research over presentation-friendly sources to collect multimodal resources, including relevant text, images, GIFs, and videos. It then constructs presentation slides, generates mode-specific scripts, and composes slides, audio, and dynamic media into a complete presentation video. PresentAgent-2 supports three independent presentation modes within a unified framework: Single Presentation, which generates a single-speaker narrated presentation video; Discussion, which creates a multi-speaker presentation with structured speaker roles, such as for asking guiding questions, explaining concepts, clarifying details, and summarizing key points; and Interaction, which independently supports answering audience questions grounded in the generated slides, scripts, retrieved evidence, and presentation context. To evaluate these capabilities, we build a multimodal presentation benchmark covering single presentation, discussion, and interaction scenarios, with task-specific evaluation criteria for content quality, media relevance, dynamic media use, dialogue naturalness, and interaction grounding. Overall, PresentAgent-2 extends presentation generation from document-dependent slide creation to query-driven, research-grounded presentation video generation with multimodal media, dialogue, and interaction. Fashion130K: An E-commerce Fashion Dataset for Outfit Generation with Unified Multi-modal Condition

Recent research work on fashion outfit generation focuses on promoting visual consistency of garments by leveraging key information from reference image and text prompt. However, the potential of outfit generation remains underexplored, requiring comprehensive e-commercial dataset and elaborative utilization of multi-modal condition. In this paper, we propose a brand-new e-commerce dataset, named Fashion130k, with various occasions, models, and garment types. For the consistent generation of garment, we design a framework with Unified Multi-modal Condition (UMC) to align and integrate the text and visual prompts into generation model. Specifically, we explore an embedding refiner to extract the unified embeddings of multi-modal prompts, within which a Fusion Transformer is proposed to align the multi-modal embeddings by adjusting the modality gap between text and image. Based on unified embeddings, the attention in generation model is redesigned to emphasis the correlations between prompts and noise image, inducing that the noise image can select the pivotal tokens of prompts for consistent outfit generation. Our dataset and proposed framework offer a general and nuanced exploration of multi-modal prompts for generation models. Extensive experiments on real-world applications and benchmark demonstrate the effectiveness of UMC in visual consistency, achieving promising result than that of SoTA methods.

Yeti: A compact protein structure tokenizer for reconstruction and multi-modal generation

Multimodal models that jointly reason over protein sequences, structures, and function annotations within a unified representation hold immense potential for integrating multimodal data and generating new proteins with designed functional properties. To utilize transformer architectures, such models require a tokenizer that converts protein structure from continuous atomic coordinates into discrete representations suitable for scalable multimodal training. The quality of such models are fundamentally upper bounded by the fidelity and expressiveness of the underlying tokenized structure. However, existing tokenizers prioritize reconstruction over generative abilities. To address these gaps, we introduce Yeti, a simple and compact protein structure tokenizer based on lookup free quantization and trained end to end with a flow matching objective for multimodal learning. Compared to existing models, Yeti generally achieves the best codebook utilization and token diversity, and second best reconstruction accuracy (with 10x fewer parameters than ESM3) on diverse datasets. To validate Yeti's generative capability, we trained a compact multimodal model jointly over its structure tokens and amino acid sequence entirely from scratch, with no pretrained initialization. The resulting multimodal model generates plausible structures under unconditional cogeneration of protein sequence and structures, achieving comparable results to 10x larger models. Together, these results demonstrate that Yeti is a compact and expressive protein structure tokenizer suitable for training multimodal models that cogenerates highly plausible sequences and structures.

SynerMedGen: Synergizing Medical Multimodal Understanding with Generation via Task Alignment

Unifying multimodal understanding and generation is a compelling frontier that is beginning to emerge in the medical field. However, the limited existing unified medical models typically treat understanding and generation as disjoint objectives, lacking a meaningful functional synergy. In this work, we identify and address a critical question in unified medical modeling: what form of understanding truly benefits generation. We present SynerMedGen, a unified framework built on the proposed principle of generation-aligned understanding, which synergizes understanding objectives with generation tasks via task alignment. SynerMedGen introduces three generation-aligned understanding tasks and a two-stage training strategy that transfers generation-beneficial representations learned during understanding training to medical image synthesis. Remarkably, even with understanding training alone, our SynerMedGen achieves strong zero-shot performance across 22 medical image synthesis tasks and demonstrates robust generalization to unseen datasets. When combined with generation training, SynerMedGen consistently outperforms state-of-the-art specialized medical image synthesis models as well as recent unified medical models. We also release a large-scale dataset named SynerMed consisting of 1M paired synthesis samples and 2M generation-derived understanding instances to support further research on understanding-generation synergy. Auto-Rubric as Reward: From Implicit Preferences to Explicit Multimodal Generative Criteria

Aligning multimodal generative models with human preferences demands reward signals that respect the compositional, multi-dimensional structure of human judgment. Prevailing RLHF approaches reduce this structure to scalar or pairwise labels, collapsing nuanced preferences into opaque parametric proxies and exposing vulnerabilities to reward hacking. While recent Rubrics-as-Reward (RaR) methods attempt to recover this structure through explicit criteria, generating rubrics that are simultaneously reliable, scalable, and data-efficient remains an open problem. We introduce Auto-Rubric as Reward (ARR), a framework that reframes reward modeling from implicit weight optimization to explicit, criteria-based decomposition. Before any pairwise comparison, ARR externalizes a VLM's internalized preference knowledge as prompt-specific rubrics, translating holistic intent into independently verifiable quality dimensions. This conversion of implicit preference structure into inspectable, interpretable constraints substantially suppresses evaluation biases including positional bias, enabling both zero-shot deployment and few-shot conditioning on minimal supervision. To extend these gains into generative training, we propose Rubric Policy Optimization (RPO), which distills ARR's structured multi-dimensional evaluation into a robust binary reward, replacing opaque scalar regression with rubric-conditioned preference decisions that stabilize policy gradients. On text-to-image generation and image editing benchmarks, ARR-RPO outperforms pairwise reward models and VLM judges, demonstrating that explicitly externalizing implicit preference knowledge into structured rubrics achieves more reliable, data-efficient multimodal alignment, revealing that the bottleneck is the absence of a factorized interface, not a deficit of knowledge.

STARFlow2: Bridging Language Models and Normalizing Flows for Unified Multimodal Generation

Deep generative models have advanced rapidly across text and vision, motivating unified multimodal systems that can understand, reason over, and generate interleaved text-image sequences. Most existing approaches combine autoregressive language modeling with diffusion-based image generators, inheriting a structural mismatch between causal text generation and iterative visual denoising. We observe that autoregressive normalizing flows are autoregressive Transformers--sharing the same causal mask, KV-cache mechanism, and left-to-right structure as LLMs--making them the most natural paradigm for true unified multimodal generation. We present STARFlow2, built on the Pretzel architecture that vertically interleaves a pretrained VLM stream with a TarFlow stream via residual skip connections, both operating under the same causal mask. Combined with a deep-shallow flow design and a unified FAE latent space, STARFlow2 enables cache-friendly interleaved generation where both text and visual outputs directly enter the KV-cache without re-encoding. Experiments demonstrate strong performance across image generation and multimodal understanding benchmarks, validating autoregressive flows as a viable foundation for unified multimodal modeling.

TextLDM: Language Modeling with Continuous Latent Diffusion

Diffusion Transformers (DiT) trained with flow matching in a VAE latent space have unified visual generation across images and videos. A natural next step toward a single architecture for both generation (visual synthesis) and understanding (text generation) is to apply this framework to language modeling. We propose TextLDM, which transfers the visual latent diffusion recipe to text generation with minimal architectural modification. A Transformer-based VAE maps discrete tokens to continuous latents, enhanced by Representation Alignment (REPA) with a frozen pretrained language model to produce representations effective for conditional denoising. A standard DiT then performs flow matching in this latent space, identical in architecture to its visual counterpart. The central challenge we address is obtaining high-quality continuous text representations: we find that reconstruction fidelity alone is insufficient, and that aligning latent features with a pretrained language model via REPA is critical for downstream generation quality. Trained from scratch on OpenWebText2, TextLDM substantially outperforms prior diffusion language models and matches GPT-2 under the same settings. Our results establish that the visual DiT recipe transfers effectively to language, taking a concrete step toward unified diffusion architectures for multimodal generation and understanding.

MMControl: Unified Multi-Modal Control for Joint Audio-Video Generation

Recent advances in Diffusion Transformers (DiTs) have enabled high-quality joint audio-video generation, producing videos with synchronized audio within a single model. However, existing controllable generation frameworks are typically restricted to video-only control. This restricts comprehensive controllability and often leads to suboptimal cross-modal alignment. To bridge this gap, we present MMControl, which enables users to perform Multi-Modal Control in joint audio-video generation. MMControl introduces a dual-stream conditional injection mechanism. It incorporates both visual and acoustic control signals, including reference images, reference audio, depth maps, and pose sequences, into a joint generation process. These conditions are injected through bypass branches into a joint audio-video Diffusion Transformer, enabling the model to simultaneously generate identity-consistent video and timbre-consistent audio under structural constraints. Furthermore, we introduce modality-specific guidance scaling, which allows users to independently and dynamically adjust the influence strength of each visual and acoustic condition at inference time. Extensive experiments demonstrate that MMControl achieves fine-grained, composable control over character identity, voice timbre, body pose, and scene layout in joint audio-video generation.

A Multi-Agent Framework with Structured Reasoning and Reflective Refinement for Multimodal Empathetic Response Generation

Multimodal empathetic response generation (MERG) aims to generate emotionally engaging and empathetic responses based on users' multimodal contexts. Existing approaches usually rely on an implicit one-pass generation paradigm from multimodal context to the final response, which overlooks two intrinsic characteristics of MERG: (1) Human perception of emotional cues is inherently structured rather than a direct mapping. The conventional paradigm neglects the hierarchical progression of emotion perception, leading to distorted emotional judgments. (2) Given the inherent complexity and ambiguity of human emotions, the conventional paradigm is prone to significant emotional biases, ultimately resulting in suboptimal empathy. In this paper, we propose a multi-agent framework for MERG, which enhances empathy through structured reasoning and reflective refinement. Specifically, we first introduce a structured empathetic reasoning-to-generation module that explicitly decomposes response generation via multimodal perception, consistency-aware emotion forecasting, pragmatic strategy planning, and strategy-guided response generation, providing a clearer intermediate path from multimodal evidence to response realization. Besides, we develop a global reflection and refinement module, in which a global reflection agent performs step-wise auditing over intermediate states and the generated response, eliminating existing emotional biases and empathy errors, and triggering targeted regeneration. Overall, such a closed-loop framework enables our model to gradually improve the accuracy of emotion perception and eliminate emotion biases during the iteration process. Experiments on several benchmarks, e.g., IEMOCAP and MELD, demonstrate that our model has superior empathic response generation capabilities compared to state-of-the-art methods.
