SRF-SVB: Style-Consistent Singing Voice Beautifying via Rectified Flow

Singing voice beautifying (SVB) aims to correct pitch and rhythm of amateur singing while enhancing vocal quality, preserving lyrics and the singer's timbre. Existing methods, however, suffer from limited generation quality and efficiency, and tend to neglect the preservation of the singer's style. We propose SRF-SVB, a style-consistent model for SVB via rectified flow, which achieves high-fidelity and efficient beautification covering pitch and rhythm correction. Furthermore, we design a context-guided masked mel-spectrogram inpainting mechanism that effectively preserves the amateur singer's style, including unique timbre and expressive patterns. Experiments on both English and Chinese test sets show that SRF-SVB outperforms baseline models in most objective and subjective metrics.

CookVoice: Unified Framework for Style Controllable Multi-Modal Human Voice Generation

Human voice generation has made rapid progress in speech generation, singing voice generation, voice cloning, and voice editing. However, most existing systems are designed for specific tasks and often rely on task-dependent architectures, control signals, or autoregressive decoding, limiting fine-grained controllability and inference efficiency. In this paper, we propose CookVoice, a unified framework for multimodal, multi-style, and multi-task human voice generation. CookVoice decomposes the human voice into three key factors: content, prosody, and style, enabling both speech and singing voice generation within a unified model. To achieve precise and flexible controllability, we design a flexible alignment strategy that maps text, style, and prosody control signals onto the frame-level of spectrogram. This design allows CookVoice to support a wide range of tasks, including text-to-speech, text-to-singing voice, style-controllable generation, voice mimicry, voice conversion, and voice editing. Experimental results show that CookVoice achieves generation quality comparable to existing Text-to-Speech and text-to-singing voice baselines, while providing stronger style and prosody controllability. Moreover, CookVoice achieves comparable performance to large-scale baselines with only 43.51 million parameters and efficient inference using as few as 4 ODE steps, making it a practical solution for real-world human voice generation applications. Beyond Call and Response: Modelling Reciprocal Coordination in Human-AI Vocal Ensembles

Musical interaction with AI is often organised as a response loop: a human performs, the system interprets that action, and the system answers, accompanies, or schedules a musical event. Unconducted vocal ensembles pose a different problem. Singers act simultaneously and continuously affect one another; neither timing nor pitch is fixed by a conductor, metronome, accompaniment, score, or tuning source. Collective organisation emerges from many-to-many reciprocal adjustment. This paper frames such ensembles as coupled dynamic systems and proposes a research architecture for vocal agents that enter, rather than merely track, their collective states. Some target repertoires are metrical, while others exhibit non-isochronous temporal contours that cannot be reduced to a beat grid; we treat the latter as a hard case for a general framework. The architecture connects multichannel capture in the field to dialect- and singing-aware representation, collective-state inference, vocal generation, and in-situ evaluation. The resulting agenda asks not only whether an artificial singer can synchronise, but how its presence reorganises human coordination, leadership, style, and musical transmission.

CLASVS: Continuous-Latent Autoregression for Melody-Preserving Lyric Editing in Singing Voice Synthesis

Reference-conditioned melody-preserving lyric editing replaces words while retaining a performance's timing, singer identity, and naturalness. Continuous-latent autoregression avoids finite codebooks and offers stepwise generation with learned stopping. Editing creates a conflict absent from ordinary reconstruction: training pairs reference cues with original lyrics, whereas inference asks revised lyrics to override source-lyric-correlated cues; one source-following patch can propagate through AR history. We introduce CLASVS. Its State-Control-Transition (SCT) routing keeps target-lyric and reference-melody controls persistent, returns semantic feedback on phonetic progress to the causal planner, and confines the previous latent patch to the local Transition. Progressive State-Control Grounding (PSCG) learns this contract through paired-edit-free, content-consistent Mandarin reconstruction. On two Mandarin benchmarks, CLASVS improves all four operations over discrete-AR Vevo2 and reduces macro-PER by 46.2%, while maintaining melody, singer similarity, and perceptual quality. Together, these results establish a strong continuous-AR operating point for score-annotation-free lyric edits and a basis for broader stepwise control. VocalRender: Score-Native Singing Voice Synthesis for Real-World Composition

Existing singing voice synthesis systems often require predefined durations, explicit duration prediction, or time-aligned acoustic guidance, which limits their compatibility with practical composition workflows. We propose VocalRender, a score-native system that directly synthesizes singing from lyrics, pitches, symbolic note values, and tempo. It uses an interleaved lyric--note representation and an autoregressive diffusion model to generate continuous acoustic latents while predicting the output length, eliminating the need for explicit duration prediction. Trained on a 2,300-hour singing dataset, VocalRender achieves strong intelligibility, strong melody control, and high speaker similarity across both in-domain and out-of-domain benchmarks. Notably, it outperforms the strongest baseline by 0.420.42 points in naturalness CMOS, demonstrating the effectiveness of our proposed score-native architecture.

MMGenre: Benchmarking Singing Voice Synthesis across Multiple Musical Genres

Singing voice synthesis (SVS) has progressed rapidly, yet its ability to generalize across diverse musical genres remains underexplored. Existing benchmarks are heavily biased toward pop music, limiting systematic analysis of genre-dependent behavior. We introduce MMGenre, a benchmark for multi-genre SVS diagnosis, supported by an automatic pipeline for constructing genre-aligned music scores. MMGenre spans 10 major genres and 26 subgenres, enabling comprehensive analysis of genre-aware synthesis. Extensive evaluation of representative SVS models reveals limited genre discrimination: synthesized vocals across genres exhibit highly similar acoustic characteristics and weak separability. While zero-shot genre adaptation yields only marginal improvements, lightweight genre-specific continued training leads to substantial gains. MMGenre provides a standardized framework for multi-genre SVS evaluation and exposes critical challenges in achieving genre-aware singing voice synthesis.

UniVoice: A Unified Model for Speech and Singing Voice Generation

Text-to-speech (TTS) and singing voice synthesis (SVS) both aim to generate human vocal audio from symbolic inputs, but they impose different requirements on the generation process. Speech generation relies on flexible, language-driven prosody, whereas singing generation requires explicit melody control and accurate rhythmic alignment. This mismatch makes it challenging to train a single model that can generate both natural speech and controllable singing, since melody-related conditions should strongly constrain singing but should not restrict speech prosody. We present UniVoice, a unified speech and singing voice generation framework based on conditional flow matching. Instead of using a single undifferentiated conditioning representation, UniVoice factorizes the condition into content, melody, and timbre, which are encoded by modality-appropriate encoders and consumed by a shared Diffusion Transformer (DiT) backbone. For singing, the melody condition is represented by MIDI note sequences; for speech, it is replaced with a learned null melody token, allowing the model to infer prosody from linguistic and acoustic context. This design preserves explicit melody control for singing while avoiding the need to impose melody constraints on speech. We further analyze the null melody token as an approximation to melody marginalization in the conditional flow. Trained on 30k hours of speech and 35k hours of singing data, UniVoice achieves a speech PER of 5.26%, comparable to dedicated TTS systems such as F5-TTS (5.21%) and CosyVoice3 (5.30%). On singing generation, UniVoice achieves a PER of 16.22%, outperforming the unified baseline Vevo1.5 (24.72%).

UniVocal: Unified Speech-Singing Code-Switching Synthesis

We propose UniVocal, a unified framework that implicitly infers vocal modes from text context to pioneer Speech-Singing Code-Switching (SCS) Synthesis - a task where transitions are autonomously driven by textual semantics, akin to seamless human language blending. Unlike single-mode generation or systems relying on switching-control tags, our proposed UniVocal implicitly infers vocal modes solely from text context. To achieve this, we employ a data-efficient two-stage curriculum learning strategy that progressively trains a competitive TTS system to acquire the desired SCS capability. Addressing data scarcity, we introduce a scalable pipeline to synthesize diverse code-switching data that is both semantically and acoustically natural, alongside a new multi-scenario benchmark, SCSBench. To address limitations of semantic tokenizers in capturing acoustic details, we also introduce refined cent token and Chain-of-Thought (CoT) generation for planning prosody before content generation, effectively enhancing empathetic speech generation and singing melody. Experimental results demonstrate that UniVocal achieves state-of-the-art performance on SCSBench while maintaining competitive performance on regular speech and singing tasks. Audio samples are available at https://project-univocal-demo.github.io/demo/. The code and dataset are released at https://github.com/FunAudioLLM/FunResearch/tree/main/UniVocal.

VITA-QinYu: Expressive Spoken Language Model for Role-Playing and Singing

Human speech conveys expressiveness beyond linguistic content, including personality, mood, or performance elements, such as a comforting tone or humming a song, which we formalize as role-playing and singing. We present VITA-QinYu, the first expressive end-to-end (E2E) spoken language model (SLM) that goes beyond natural conversation to support both role-playing and singing generation. VITA-QinYu adopts a hybrid speech-text paradigm that extends interleaved text-audio modeling with multi-codebook audio tokens, a design enabling richer paralinguistic representation while preserving a clear separation between modalities to avoid interference. We further develop a comprehensive data generation pipeline to synthesize a total of 15.8K hours of natural conversation, role-playing, and singing data for training. VITA-QinYu demonstrates superior expressiveness, outperforming peer SLMs by 7 percentage points on objective role-playing benchmarks, and surpassing peer models by 0.13 points on a 5-point MOS scale for singing. Simultaneously, it achieves state-of-the-art conversational accuracy and fluency, exceeding prior SLMs by 1.38 and 4.98 percentage points on the C3 and URO benchmarks, respectively. We open-source our code and models and provide an easy-to-use demo with full-stack support for streaming and full-duplex interaction.

YingMusic-Singer: Controllable Singing Voice Synthesis with Flexible Lyric Manipulation and Annotation-free Melody Guidance

Regenerating singing voices with altered lyrics while preserving melody consistency remains challenging, as existing methods either offer limited controllability or require laborious manual alignment. We propose YingMusic-Singer, a fully diffusion-based model enabling melody-controllable singing voice synthesis with flexible lyric manipulation. The model takes three inputs: an optional timbre reference, a melody-providing singing clip, and modified lyrics, without manual alignment. Trained with curriculum learning and Group Relative Policy Optimization, YingMusic-Singer achieves stronger melody preservation and lyric adherence than Vevo2, the most comparable baseline supporting melody control without manual alignment. We also introduce LyricEditBench, the first benchmark for melody-preserving lyric modification evaluation. The code, weights, benchmark, and demos are publicly available at https://github.com/ASLP-lab/YingMusic-Singer-Plus.

Aliasing-Free Neural Audio Synthesis

In neural audio synthesis, neural vocoders and codecs are models that reconstruct waveforms from acoustic and latent representations, which are essential to the resulting audio quality. While current models are capable of generating perceptually natural speech, they still struggle with high-fidelity music and singing voice synthesis, as severe aliasing artifacts are introduced by non-linear activation functions and upsampling layers in existing architectures. Although various anti-aliasing techniques have been proposed in digital signal processing, their integration into neural vocoders and codecs remains under-explored. This paper incorporates differentiable anti-aliasing techniques into the activation and upsampling modules to bridge this gap, and thus presents Pupu-Vocoder and Pupu-Codec. We build a test signal benchmark to evaluate the anti-aliased modules, and validate our proposed models on speech, singing voice, music, and audio. Experimental results show that Pupu-Vocoder and Pupu-Codec outperform existing systems on singing voice, music, and audio, while achieving comparable performance on speech.
