Social Class
Social class significantly impacts various aspects of life, from language use and access to healthcare to technology adoption and environmental impact. Current research focuses on identifying and mitigating biases stemming from socioeconomic disparities in artificial intelligence systems, particularly in natural language processing and computer vision, often employing machine learning models like logistic regression and employing novel evaluation metrics to assess fairness and inclusivity. Understanding and addressing these biases is crucial for developing equitable technologies and promoting social justice, with implications for policy-making and the design of more inclusive and representative AI systems.
