Monocular SLAM historically suffers from scale ambiguity and tracking failure in dynamic environments. While recent vision foundation models (VFMs) provide remarkable zero-shot depth priors, naively integrating these deterministic predictions ignores predictive uncertainty and frame-to-frame scale inconsistencies. We propose PRISM-SLAM, a real-time framework that rigorously integrates VFM priors into a structured Bayesian factor graph to achieve scale-aware, metric-consistent localization and mapping. Specifically, we introduce a Plücker Ray-Distance Factor to anchor monocular observations in absolute space within a globally consistent metric coordinate system, mathematically resolving scale drift by making the metric scale Fisher-identifiable. To handle environmental dynamics, we derive an epistemic uncertainty proxy from temporal depth consistency and formulate a Dynamic Scene Uncertainty Gating (DSUG) mechanism. This soft-gating approach probabilistically down-weights dynamic distractors without incurring the heavy computational overhead associated with traditional semantic segmentation masks. By employing a multi-process architecture that asynchronously processes VFM inference and geometric tracking, PRISM-SLAM provides verified metric output at 30 FPS using solely RGB input, bridging the gap between foundation models and real-world robotic applications. Evaluated on the TUM RGB-D and 7-Scenes benchmarks, PRISM-SLAM achieves a metric SE(3) Absolute Trajectory Error (ATE) nearly identical to its oracle-aligned Sim(3) error. This demonstrates that our system can produce deployment-ready metric trajectories by delivering robust metric SLAM solutions without any post-hoc scale correction. We present AMB3R-SLAM, a real-time monocular SLAM system capable of reconstructing kilometer-scale trajectories over 10k frames on a single consumer-grade GPU. Our model couples a lightweight front-end for low-latency online tracking with a hierarchical backend that progressively enforces local, mid-level, and global consistency. By avoiding bundle adjustment that relies on the static world assumption, our system naturally handles complex dynamic scenes out of the box. Furthermore, we demonstrate that our method can be extended to leverage stereo, RGB-D, and LiDAR as additional inputs. AMB3R-SLAM achieves strong camera tracking performance across 9 datasets, reducing the absolute trajectory error (ATE) of previous state-of-the-art methods on VBR and Oxford Spires by over 70%. With additional LiDAR input, our model further reduces ATE to sub-meter level on KITTI and VBR datasets.
Precise metric depth estimation is fundamental for autonomous robot navigation, yet monocular systems inherently suffer from scale ambiguity and scale drift. While recent recurrent flow-based SLAM systems have demonstrated state-of-the-art robustness, they remain scale-ambiguous. In this paper, we propose Metric-DROID, an end-to-end recurrent architecture that anchors visual SLAM to physical reality by integrating proprioceptive odometry. Our framework introduces the following innovations: (1) A LSTM Update Operator that encodes high-frequency odometry sequences into spatial feature maps, providing a persistent metric bias for iterative refinement. (2) An Uncertainty-Aware Metric Backend (BAodom) that treats odometry as a geometric anchor with learned heteroscedastic covariance. By regressing a time-varying metric uncertainty Σo, our system intelligently balances visual re-projection and metric translation residuals, effectively mitigating the impact of wheel-slip and sensor noise. (3) We further propose a selective residual fine-tuning strategy to preserve pre-trained geometric priors while enabling zero-shot metric alignment.
Recent geometric foundation models enable feed-forward inference for SLAM, but their predictions are strongly dependent on the input view set, which leads to geometric inconsistencies and trajectory drift when results are chained over long sequences. Online deployment further exposes a trade-off between the low latency of two-view tracking and the constraint richness of multi-view inference. We introduce UniSim-SLAM, an integrated system that runs lightweight two-view keyframe tracking in the frontend and performs periodic multi-view submap refinement in the backend. To combine predictions defined in heterogeneous local coordinates with inconsistent scales, we formulate a unified multi-level factor graph on Sim(3) that jointly optimizes global keyframe poses and submap poses. The graph integrates temporal view-to-view odometry edges, view-to-submap bridge edges with depth-statistics scale anchoring, and submap-to-submap tie and scale constraints to enforce consistent similarity relations across submaps. Experiments on TUM RGB-D and 7-Scenes show that UniSim-SLAM achieves state-of-the-art accuracy in the uncalibrated setting, reducing trajectory error by 38.5% on TUM RGB-D and 45.9% on 7-Scenes compared to prior best results.
