Trustworthy Robot
Creating trustworthy robots is a burgeoning field aiming to design robots that humans perceive as reliable and safe, fostering effective human-robot interaction (HRI). Current research focuses on understanding the factors influencing trust, including robot appearance, communication style, and the influence of third parties (e.g., the robot's deployer) on user perception, often modeling HRI as a game-theoretic interaction to optimize both task performance and trust. This work is crucial for safe and effective integration of robots into various settings, from industrial collaboration to service roles, ultimately impacting the design and deployment of socially acceptable and reliable robotic systems.
