Overview

The field studies how AI can recover the structure of 3D scenes, track objects across viewpoints, and reason about distance, direction, movement, and possible actions. Common approaches add depth and camera cues to vision-language models, build explicit maps or scene graphs, or use geometric tools and active multi-view exploration; others train structured reasoning with supervised data or reinforcement learning. These methods support tasks such as visual grounding, navigation, scene editing, and robotic manipulation, and are tested on image, video, point-cloud, and embodied benchmarks. A central challenge is that strong question-answering scores can hide reliance on 2D or linguistic shortcuts: models still struggle with occlusion, changing viewpoints, metric accuracy, and carrying spatial beliefs reliably into action.

On the Generalization Capacities of MLLMs for Spatial Intelligence

Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs) that directly process RGB inputs for tasks like 3D localization and navigation have shown remarkable potential. However, we argue that these RGB-only approaches are fundamentally flawed in their ability to generalize across cameras. By ignoring camera parameters, they entangle an object's physical properties with the camera's perspective, creating an irresolvable ambiguity. We show this leads MLLMs to overfit to the training camera distribution, rather than learning true and generalizable 3D geometric principles. To address this, we propose Camera-Aware MLLM framework for spatial MLLMs. It learns generalizable spatial reasoning by: (i) injecting camera intrinsics via a dense embedding that conditions each visual token; (ii) introducing a camera-aware data augmentation strategy that synthetically varies camera parameters, forcing the model to disentangle camera properties from scene content; and (iii) distilling geometric priors from a 3D vision foundation model. Extensive experiments demonstrate that camera-aware MLLMs substantially outperform their naive counterparts, particularly in cross-camera generalization tests on spatially-grounded tasks, indicating that camera-awareness is not only beneficial but also a prerequisite for robust and generalizable spatial intelligence in MLLMs.

SpatialText: A Pure-Text Cognitive Benchmark for Spatial Understanding in Large Language Models

Genuine spatial reasoning relies on the capacity to construct and manipulate coherent internal spatial representations, often conceptualized as mental models, rather than merely processing surface linguistic associations. While large language models exhibit advanced capabilities across various domains, existing benchmarks fail to isolate this intrinsic spatial cognition from statistical language heuristics. Furthermore, multimodal evaluations frequently conflate genuine spatial reasoning with visual perception. To systematically investigate whether models construct flexible spatial mental models, we introduce SpatialText, a theory-driven diagnostic framework. Rather than functioning simply as a dataset, SpatialText isolates text-based spatial reasoning through a dual-source methodology. It integrates human-annotated descriptions of real 3D indoor environments, which capture natural ambiguities, perspective shifts, and functional relations, with code-generated, logically precise scenes designed to probe formal spatial deduction and epistemic boundaries. Systematic evaluation across state-of-the-art models reveals fundamental representational limitations. Although models demonstrate proficiency in retrieving explicit spatial facts and operating within global, allocentric coordinate systems, they exhibit critical failures in egocentric perspective transformation and local reference frame reasoning. These systematic errors provide strong evidence that current models rely heavily on linguistic co-occurrence heuristics rather than constructing coherent, verifiable internal spatial representations. SpatialText thus serves as a rigorous instrument for diagnosing the cognitive boundaries of artificial spatial intelligence.

pySpatial: Generating 3D Visual Programs for Zero-Shot Spatial Reasoning

Multi-modal Large Language Models (MLLMs) have demonstrated strong capabilities in general-purpose perception and reasoning, but they still struggle with tasks that require spatial understanding of the 3D world. To address this, we introduce pySpatial, a visual programming framework that equips MLLMs with the ability to interface with spatial tools via Python code generation. Given an image sequence and a natural-language query, the model composes function calls to spatial tools including 3D reconstruction, camera-pose recovery, novel-view rendering, etc. These operations convert raw 2D inputs into an explorable 3D scene, enabling MLLMs to reason explicitly over structured spatial representations. Notably, pySpatial requires no gradient-based fine-tuning and operates in a fully zero-shot setting. Experimental evaluations on the challenging MindCube and Omni3D-Bench benchmarks demonstrate that our framework pySpatial consistently surpasses strong MLLM baselines; for instance, it outperforms GPT-4.1-mini by 12.94% on MindCube. Furthermore, we conduct real-world indoor navigation experiments where the robot can successfully traverse complex environments using route plans generated by pySpatial, highlighting the practical effectiveness of our approach.

SSR: Pushing the Limit of Spatial Intelligence with Structured Scene Reasoning

While Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs) excel in semantic tasks, they frequently lack the "spatial sense" essential for sophisticated geometric reasoning. Current models typically suffer from exorbitant modality-alignment costs and deficiency in fine-grained structural modeling precision. We introduce SSR, a framework designed for Structured Scene Reasoning that seamlessly integrates 2D and 3D representations via a lightweight alignment mechanism. To minimize training overhead, our framework anchors 3D geometric features to the large language model's pre-aligned 2D visual semantics through cross-modal addition and token interleaving, effectively obviating the necessity for large-scale alignment pre-training. To underpin complex spatial reasoning, we propose a novel scene graph generation pipeline that represents global layouts as a chain of independent local triplets defined by relative coordinates. This is complemented by an incremental generation algorithm, enabling the model to construct "language-model-friendly" structural scaffolds for complex environments. Furthermore, we extend these capabilities to global-scale 3D global grounding task, achieving absolute metric precision across heterogeneous data sources. At a 7B parameter scale, SSR achieves state-of-the-art performance on multiple spatial intelligence benchmarks, notably scoring 73.9 on VSI-Bench. Our approach significantly outperforms much larger models, demonstrating that efficient feature alignment and structured scene reasoning are the cornerstones of authentic spatial intelligence.

PointCoT: A Multi-modal Benchmark for Explicit 3D Geometric Reasoning

While Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs) demonstrate proficiency in 2D scenes, extending their perceptual intelligence to 3D point cloud understanding remains a significant challenge. Current approaches focus primarily on aligning 3D features with pre-trained models. However, they typically treat geometric reasoning as an implicit mapping process. These methods bypass intermediate logical steps and consequently suffer from geometric hallucinations. They confidently generate plausible responses that fail to ground in precise structural details. To bridge this gap, we present PointCoT, a novel framework that empowers MLLMs with explicit Chain-of-Thought (CoT) reasoning for 3D data. We advocate for a Look, Think, then Answer paradigm. In this approach, the model is supervised to generate geometry-grounded rationales before predicting final answers. To facilitate this, we construct Point-Reason-Instruct, a large-scale benchmark comprising ∼\sim86k instruction-tuning samples with hierarchical CoT annotations. By leveraging a dual-stream multi-modal architecture, our method synergizes semantic appearance with geometric truth. Extensive experiments demonstrate that PointCoT achieves state-of-the-art performance on complex reasoning tasks.

SoPE: Spherical Coordinate-Based Positional Embedding for Enhancing Spatial Perception of 3D LVLMs

3D Large Vision-Language Models (3D LVLMs) built upon Large Language Models (LLMs) have achieved remarkable progress across various multimodal tasks. However, their inherited position-dependent modeling mechanism, Rotary Position Embedding (RoPE), remains suboptimal for 3D multimodal understanding. The vanilla RoPE formulation fails to preserve essential three-dimensional spatial structures when encoding 3D tokens, and its relative distance computation overlooks angular dependencies, hindering the model's ability to capture directional variations in visual representations. To overcome these limitations, we introduce Spherical Coordinate-based Positional Embedding (SoPE). Our method maps point-cloud token indices into a 3D spherical coordinate space, enabling unified modeling of spatial locations and directional angles. This formulation preserves the inherent geometric structure of point-cloud data, enhances spatial awareness, and yields more consistent and expressive geometric representations for multimodal learning. In addition, we introduce a multi-scale frequency mixing strategy to fuse feature information across different frequency domains. Experimental results on multiple 3D scene benchmarks validate the effectiveness of our approach, while real-world deployment experiments further demonstrate its strong generalization capability.

PanoEnv: Exploring 3D Spatial Intelligence in Panoramic Environments with Reinforcement Learning

360 panoramic images are increasingly used in virtual reality, autonomous driving, and robotics for holistic scene understanding. However, current Vision-Language Models (VLMs) struggle with 3D spatial reasoning on Equirectangular Projection (ERP) images due to geometric distortion and limited 3D supervision. We introduce PanoEnv, a large-scale VQA benchmark built from synthetic 3D environments, containing 14.8K questions across five categories (e.g., relative position, volume comparison) grounded in accurate 3D annotations including depth, segmentation, and bounding boxes. Benchmarking 14 state-of-the-art VLMs reveals limited 3D understanding, achieving only 49.34% overall accuracy and 8.36% on open-ended (OE) questions. To enhance 3D reasoning, we propose a reinforcement learning post-training framework based on Group Relative Policy Optimization (GRPO) with a ground-truth-guided reward that incorporates five geometry-aware strategies such as distance tolerance and spatial consistency. A two-stage curriculum further mitigates catastrophic forgetting: Stage 1 trains on structured tasks (true/false and multiple choice), and Stage 2 fine-tunes on mixed open-ended data to improve generalization. Our 7B model achieves new state-of-the-art performance, improving overall accuracy to 52.93% (+3.59%) and open-ended accuracy to 14.83% while maintaining structured-task performance. It also achieves top semantic evaluation scores (Q-Score 6.24, P-Score 5.95), surpassing 32B models. These results demonstrate that PanoEnv-QA and our curriculum-based RL framework effectively instill 3D spatial intelligence in VLMs for omnidirectional perception.

Spa3R: Predictive Spatial Field Modeling for 3D Visual Reasoning

Vision-language models excel at 2D visual understanding but remain limited in 3D spatial reasoning. Existing approaches either depend on explicit 3D modalities, which limits scalability, or inject partial, view-conditioned geometric priors and leave the language model to recover global scene structure from sparse cues. We introduce Spa3R, a self-supervised framework that learns a unified, view-invariant spatial representation from unposed multi-view RGB images. Its Predictive Spatial Field Modeling objective compresses context views into a compact latent representation and predicts aligned geometric and semantic feature fields at novel viewpoints, thereby encouraging coherent encoding of scene geometry and layout. We integrate the pre-trained Spa3R Encoder into a vision-language model through a lightweight residual cross-attention adapter, yielding Spa3-VLM and grounding language reasoning in global spatial context. Spa3-VLM achieves an average score of 58.6% on VSI-Bench and delivers leading or competitive performance across three additional spatial reasoning benchmarks. These results demonstrate that predictive spatial representation learning provides an effective visual foundation for 3D reasoning.

JAEGER: Joint 3D Audio-Visual Grounding and Reasoning in Simulated Physical Environments

Current audio-visual large language models (AV-LLMs) are predominantly restricted to 2D perception, relying on RGB video and monaural audio. This design choice introduces a fundamental dimensionality mismatch that precludes reliable source localization and spatial reasoning in complex 3D environments. We address this limitation by presenting JAEGER, a framework that extends AV-LLMs to 3D space, to enable joint spatial grounding and reasoning through the integration of RGB-D observations and multi-channel first-order ambisonics. A core contribution of our work is the neural intensity vector (Neural IV), a learned spatial audio representation that encodes robust directional cues to enhance direction-of-arrival estimation, even in adverse acoustic scenarios with overlapping sources. To facilitate large-scale training and systematic evaluation, we propose SpatialSceneQA, a benchmark of 61k instruction-tuning samples curated from simulated physical environments. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our approach consistently surpasses 2D-centric baselines across diverse spatial perception and reasoning tasks, underscoring the necessity of explicit 3D modelling for advancing AI in physical environments. Our source code, pre-trained model checkpoints, and datasets are available at https://github.com/liuzhan22/JAEGER.

SceneReVis: A Self-Reflective Vision-Grounded Framework for 3D Indoor Scene Synthesis via Multi-Turn RL

Current one-pass 3D scene synthesis methods often suffer from spatial hallucinations, such as collisions, due to a lack of deliberative reasoning. To bridge this gap, we introduce SceneReVis, a vision-grounded self-reflection framework that employs an iterative "diagnose-and-act" loop to explicitly intercept and resolve spatial conflicts using multi-modal feedback. To support this step-wise paradigm, we construct SceneChain-12k, a large-scale dataset of causal construction trajectories derived through a novel reverse engineering pipeline. We further propose a two-stage training recipe that transitions from Supervised Fine-Tuning to Agentic Reinforcement Learning, evolving the model into an active spatial planner. Extensive experiments demonstrate that SceneReVis achieves state-of-the-art performance in high-fidelity generation and goal-oriented optimization, with improved transfer to underrepresented room categories in the dataset and promising potential for extension to out-of-distribution room types.

Think3D: Thinking with Space for Spatial Reasoning

While Vision-Language Models (VLMs) excel at 2D visual understanding, they remain constrained by 2D-centric paradigm that severely limits genuine 3D spatial reasoning. To bridge this gap, we introduce Think3D, a novel framework that equips VLM agents with interactive, 3D chain-of-thought reasoning capabilities. By integrating a suite of 3D manipulation tools, Think3D transforms perception into active spatial exploration, mirroring human geometric reasoning. Think3D consistently improves proprietary models, including GPT-4.1 and Gemini 2.5 Pro, across BLINK Multi-view, MindCube-1K, and VSI-Bench-Tiny. We further propose Think3D-RL to teach smaller open-weight models how to manipulate 3D space effectively. Using only final-answer rewards, without process supervision or handcrafted exploration trajectories, Think3D-RL enables Qwen3-VL-4B to autonomously learn effective 3D exploration strategies. After training, the model exhibits tool-use patterns similar to those of stronger proprietary models, while shifting the effect of 3D tool use on MindCube-1K from a performance drop to a substantial improvement. These results show that active exploration in 3D space provides an effective and general paradigm for improving spatial reasoning in multimodal agents. SpatialMosaic: A Multiview VLM Dataset for Partial Visibility

Recent progress in Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs) has enabled 3D scene understanding and spatial reasoning directly from multi-view images, without requiring explicit 3D reconstructions. Nevertheless, key challenges that frequently arise in real-world environments, such as partial visibility, occlusion, and low-overlap conditions that require reasoning from fragmented visual cues, remain under-explored. To address these limitations, we propose a scalable multi-view data generation and annotation pipeline that constructs realistic spatial reasoning QAs, resulting in SpatialMosaic, a comprehensive instruction-tuning dataset with 2M QA pairs. We further introduce SpatialMosaic-Bench, a challenging benchmark for evaluating multi-view spatial reasoning under complex and diverse scenarios, consisting of 1M QA pairs across 11 tasks with both multiple-choice and numerical-answer formats. Our dataset spans both indoor and outdoor scenes, enabling comprehensive evaluation across diverse real-world scenarios. In addition, we provide a practical baseline for multi-view settings by integrating geometry encoders into VLMs for improved cross-view consistency and spatial grounding. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our dataset effectively enhances spatial reasoning under challenging multi-view conditions, validating the effectiveness of our data generation pipeline in constructing realistic and challenging QAs.

Towards Spatial Trace with Reasoning in Vision-Language Models for Robotics

Spatial tracing, as a fundamental embodied interaction ability for robots, is inherently challenging as it requires multi-step metric-grounded reasoning compounded with complex spatial referring and real-world metric measurement. However, existing methods struggle with this compositional task. To this end, we propose RoboTracer, a 3D-aware VLM that first achieves both 3D spatial referring and measuring via a universal spatial encoder and a regression-supervised decoder to enhance scale awareness during supervised fine-tuning (SFT). Moreover, RoboTracer advances multi-step metric-grounded reasoning via reinforcement fine-tuning (RFT) with metric-sensitive process rewards, supervising key intermediate perceptual cues to accurately generate spatial traces. To support SFT and RFT training, we introduce TraceSpatial, a large-scale dataset of 30M QA pairs, spanning outdoor/indoor/tabletop scenes and supporting complex reasoning processes (up to 9 steps). We further present TraceSpatial-Bench, a challenging benchmark filling the gap to evaluate spatial tracing. Experimental results show that RoboTracer surpasses baselines in spatial understanding, measuring, and referring, with an average success rate of 79.1%, and also achieves SOTA performance on TraceSpatial-Bench by a large margin, exceeding Gemini-2.5-Pro by 36% accuracy. Notably, RoboTracer can be integrated with various control policies to execute long-horizon, dynamic tasks across diverse robots (UR5, G1 humanoid) in cluttered real-world scenes. SpaceDrive: Infusing Spatial Awareness into VLM-based Autonomous Driving

End-to-end autonomous driving methods built on vision language models (VLMs) have undergone rapid development driven by their universal visual understanding and strong reasoning capabilities obtained from the large-scale pretraining. However, we find that current VLMs struggle to understand fine-grained 3D spatial relationships which is a fundamental requirement for systems interacting with the physical world. To address this issue, we propose SpaceDrive, a spatial-aware VLM-based driving framework that treats spatial information as explicit positional encodings (PEs) instead of textual digit tokens, enabling joint reasoning over semantic and spatial representations. SpaceDrive employs a universal positional encoder to all 3D coordinates derived from multi-view depth estimation, historical ego-states, and text prompts. These 3D PEs are first superimposed to augment the corresponding 2D visual tokens. Meanwhile, they serve as a task-agnostic coordinate representation, replacing the digit-wise numerical tokens as both inputs and outputs for the VLM. This mechanism enables the model to better index specific visual semantics in spatial reasoning and directly regress trajectory coordinates rather than generating digit-by-digit, thereby enhancing planning accuracy. Extensive experiments validate that SpaceDrive achieves state-of-the-art open-loop performance on the nuScenes dataset and the second-best Driving Score of 78.02 on the Bench2Drive closed-loop benchmark over existing VLM-based methods. Code is available at: https://github.com/zhenghao2519/SpaceDrive.

Think, Then Look: Active Spatial Reasoning for House-Scale 3D Scene Understanding

Spatial reasoning in large-scale 3D environments remains challenging for current vision--language models, which are typically constrained to room-scale scenarios. We formalize Active House-Scale Spatial Reasoning (AHSR), a new paradigm in which a model reasons over a pre-built house-scale 3D map via virtual spatial tool invocations to answer spatial questions, without exhaustive scene-wide processing. To support AHSR research, we introduce H2^2U3D (Holistic House Understanding in 3D), the first benchmark targeting house-scale 3D scene understanding, featuring environments with an average aggregate floor area of 250.8 m2^2 and up to three floors, together with hierarchical coarse-to-fine visual representations. Building on H2^2U3D, we propose SpatialReasoner, an AHSR framework trained via supervised fine-tuning with self-correction, followed by reinforcement learning with a task-aware adaptive exploration reward. SpatialReasoner achieves state-of-the-art performance on H2^2U3D with 64.9% overall accuracy, outperforming strong baselines including GPT-5.4 and Gemini-3.5-Flash, and generalizes effectively to MT-HM3D and HM-EQA. These results demonstrate the clear advantage of active map-directed exploration over passive scene-wide processing in house-scale 3D understanding.

Vision-Language Memory for Spatial Reasoning

Spatial reasoning is a critical capability for intelligent robots, yet current vision-language models (VLMs) still fall short of human-level performance in video-based spatial reasoning. This gap mainly stems from two challenges: a semantic-geometric misalignment that prevents consistent 3D understanding, and the absence of persistent memory to retain 3D representation and understanding across frames. To address these limitations, we present VLM2^2, a Vision-Language Model with persistent Memory for spatial reasoning with a view-consistent, 3D-aware representation purely from 2D videos. Specifically, we incorporate a dual-memory module consisting of a working memory that operates as a sliding window to focus on immediate context, and an episodic memory that consolidates and stores critical information across frames. This design enables bounded and efficient spatial reasoning under a fixed computational cost. Extensive experiments on multiple benchmarks show that VLM2^2 achieves state-of-the-art performance among video-based models, significantly advancing the frontier of visual-spatial intelligence.

MonoSR: Open-Vocabulary Spatial Reasoning from Monocular Images

Spatial reasoning (SR), the ability to infer 3D spatial information from 2D inputs, is essential for real-world applications such as embodied AI and autonomous driving. However, existing research primarily focuses on indoor environments and typically relies on multi-view observations, which limits their generalizability to outdoor scenarios and constrains their applicability to monocular images, the most common real-world setting. In this work, we propose MonoSR, a large-scale monocular spatial reasoning dataset that spans diverse scenarios including indoor, outdoor, and object-centric settings, and supports multiple question types. MonoSR provides a path toward open-world monocular spatial reasoning. Beyond introducing the dataset, we evaluate advanced vision-language models to reveal their limitations on this challenging task. We further analyze whether auxiliary information is crucial for monocular spatial reasoning and offer practical guidance for designing future models. These contributions collectively establish a foundation for advancing monocular spatial reasoning in real-world, open-world environments.

Let Language Constrain Geometry: Vision-Language Models as Semantic and Spatial Critics for 3D Generation

Text-to-3D generation has advanced rapidly, yet state-of-the-art models, encompassing both optimization-based and feed-forward architectures, still face two fundamental limitations. First, they struggle with coarse semantic alignment, often failing to capture fine-grained prompt details. Second, they lack robust 3D spatial understanding, leading to geometric inconsistencies and catastrophic failures in part assembly and spatial relationships. To address these challenges, we propose VLM3D, a general framework that repurposes large vision-language models (VLMs) as powerful, differentiable semantic and spatial critics. Our core contribution is a dual-query critic signal derived from the VLM's Yes or No log-odds, which assesses both semantic fidelity and geometric coherence. We demonstrate the generality of this guidance signal across two distinct paradigms: (1) As a reward objective for optimization-based pipelines, VLM3D significantly outperforms existing methods on standard benchmarks. (2) As a test-time guidance module for feed-forward pipelines, it actively steers the iterative sampling process of SOTA native 3D models to correct severe spatial errors. VLM3D establishes a principled and generalizable path to inject the VLM's rich, language-grounded understanding of both semantics and space into diverse 3D generative pipelines.

Error-Driven Scene Editing for 3D Grounding in Large Language Models

Despite recent progress in 3D-LLMs, they remain limited in accurately grounding language to visual and spatial elements in 3D environments. This limitation stems in part from training data that focuses on language reasoning rather than spatial understanding due to scarce 3D resources, leaving inherent grounding biases unresolved. To address this, we propose 3D scene editing as a key mechanism to generate visual counterfactuals that mitigate these biases through fine-grained spatial manipulation, without requiring costly scene reconstruction or large-scale 3D data collection. Furthermore, to make these edits targeted and directly address the specific weaknesses of the model, we introduce DEER-3D, an error-driven framework that diagnoses grounding failures and generates targeted counterfactual training supervision via a structured "Decompose, Diagnose, Edit, and Retrain" loop. Specifically, given a grounding failure, DEER-3D first identifies the predicate-level error (e.g., attribute or spatial relation). It then performs minimal predicate-aligned scene edits, such as recoloring or repositioning, and constructs aligned question-answer pairs that explicitly target the failed predicate, forming targeted counterfactual training examples. We evaluate our editing pipeline across multiple benchmarks for 3D grounding and scene understanding tasks, consistently demonstrating improvements across all grounding datasets through iterative refinement (4-6% gains). DEER-3D underscores the effectiveness of targeted, error-driven scene editing in bridging linguistic reasoning with spatial grounding in 3D LLMs.

Apples on the Table? Evaluating Text-Guided 3D Scene Synthesis via Fine-Grained Constraint Verification

Accurately synthesizing 3D scenes from user-provided text descriptions is crucial for developing embodied agents. Despite the importance of scene-description alignment, existing evaluation methods for such text-guided 3D scene synthesis either capture only coarse similarity between the synthesized scene and the user description, or ignore the spatial reasoning for verifying object placement. None of them addressed the fine-grained constraints (e.g., X needs to be in the scene in a Y manner) implied by the description from users. To address this, we introduce LEGO, a benchmark dataset that pairs each user description with human-annotated constraints and a reference scene, and LEGO-Eval, an evaluation framework that decomposes a description into atomic constraints and verifies each one using tools that ground textual references to 3D objects and reason about their spatial relationships. We show that (i) LEGO-Eval evaluates misalignment far more accurately than existing methods and (ii) current scene synthesis approaches achieve at most 10% success rate in LEGO-Eval.

3D-MoE: Towards Spatial Intelligence with Mixture-of-Experts for 3D Reasoning and Action Generation

Spatial intelligence, encompassing 3D perception and reasoning, is the essential next frontier of AI. Scaling current 3D vision-language models (VLMs) that rely on dense Transformers for spatial tasks incurs prohibitive computational costs. In this paper, we introduce 3D-MoE, a 3D VLM leveraging an efficient mixture-of-experts architecture with a modality- and spatial-context-aware probabilistic routing scheme, stably cultivated by a novel routing curriculum. To seamlessly extend 3D-MoE to embodied AI, we integrate a diffusion-based action head, Pose-DiT, transforming 3D-MoE into a 3D vision-language-action (VLA) model. By employing a rectified flow framework, Pose-DiT generates precise 6D pose actions in a single sampling step. Extensive experiments demonstrate that 3D-MoE achieves superior performance on diverse 3D vision-language benchmarks with drastically fewer activated parameters and yields higher success rates while enabling real-time inference for robot manipulation tasks.
