MotionGRPO: Overcoming Low Intra-Group Diversity in GRPO-Based Egocentric Motion Recovery

This paper studies full-body 3D human motion recovery from head-mounted device signals. Existing diffusion-based methods often rely on global distribution matching, leading to local joint reconstruction errors. We propose MotionGRPO, a novel framework leveraging reinforcement learning post-training to inject fine-grained guidance into the diffusion process. Technically, we model diffusion sampling as a Markov decision process optimized via Group Relative Policy Optimization (GRPO). To this end, we introduce a hybrid reward mechanism that combines a learned conditioned perceptual model for global visual plausibility and explicit constraints for local joint precision. Our key technical insight is that policy optimization in diffusion-based recovery suffers from vanishing gradients due to limited intra-group sample diversity. To address this, we further introduce a noise-injection strategy that explicitly increases sample variance and stabilizes learning. Extensive experiments demonstrate that MotionGRPO achieves state-of-the-art performance with superior visual fidelity

Stage-adaptive audio diffusion modeling

Recent progress in diffusion-based audio generation and restoration has substantially improved performance across heterogeneous conditioning regimes, including text-conditioned audio generation and audio-conditioned super-resolution. However, training audio diffusion models remains computationally expensive, and most existing pipelines still rely on static optimization recipes that treat the relative importance of training signals as fixed throughout learning. In this work, we argue that a major source of inefficiency lies in the evolving balance between semantic acquisition and generation-oriented refinement. Early training places stronger emphasis on acquiring condition-aligned semantic structure and coarse global organization, whereas later training increasingly emphasizes temporal consistency, perceptual fidelity, and fine-detail refinement. To characterize this evolving balance, we introduce a progress-based regime variable derived from the training-time slope of an SSL-space discrepancy, which measures semantic progress during training. Based on this signal, we develop three complementary stage-aware mechanisms: decayed SSL guidance for early semantic bootstrapping, self-adaptive timestep sampling driven by the regime variable, and structure-aware regularization activated from convergent grouped organization in parameter space. We evaluate these mechanisms on text-conditioned audio generation and audio-conditioned super-resolution. Across both settings, the proposed stage-aware strategies improve convergence behavior and yield gains on the primary generation and spectral reconstruction metrics over standard static baselines. These results support the view that efficient audio diffusion training can benefit from treating external guidance, internal organization, and optimization emphasis as stage-dependent components rather than fixed ingredients.

Large Language Models are Universal Reasoners for Visual Generation

Text-to-image generation has advanced rapidly with diffusion models, progressing from CLIP and T5 conditioning to unified systems where a single LLM backbone handles both visual understanding and generation. Despite the architectural unification, these systems frequently fail to faithfully align complex prompts during synthesis, even though they remain highly accurate at verifying whether an image satisfies those same prompts. We formalize this as the \emph{understanding-generation gap} and propose UniReasoner, a framework that leverages the LLM as a universal reasoner to convert its understanding strength into direct generation guidance. Given a prompt, the LLM first produces a coarse visual draft composed of discrete vision tokens. It then performs a self-critique by evaluating the draft for prompt consistency, producing a grounded textual evaluation that pinpoints what needs to be corrected. Finally, a diffusion model is conditioned jointly on the prompt, the visual draft, and the evaluation, ensuring that generation is guided by explicit corrective signals. Each signal addresses a limitation of the other: the draft provides a concrete, scene-level anchor that reduces under-specification in text-only conditioning, while the evaluation turns verification into grounded, actionable constraints that correct omissions, hallucinations, and relational errors. Experiments show that UniReasoner improves compositional alignment and semantic faithfulness under the same diffusion backbone while maintaining image quality, demonstrating a practical way to exploit LLM reasoning to close the understanding-generation gap.

DMGD: Train-Free Dataset Distillation with Semantic-Distribution Matching in Diffusion Models

Dataset distillation enables efficient training by distilling the information of large-scale datasets into significantly smaller synthetic datasets. Diffusion based paradigms have emerged in recent years, offering novel perspectives for dataset distillation. However, they typically necessitate additional fine-tuning stages, and effective guidance mechanisms remain underexplored. To address these limitations, we rethink diffusion based dataset distillation and propose a Dual Matching Guided Diffusion (DMGD) framework, centered on efficient training-free guidance. We first establish Semantic Matching via conditional likelihood optimization, eliminating the need for auxiliary classifiers. Furthermore, we propose a dynamic guidance mechanism that enhances the diversity of synthetic data while maintaining semantic alignment. Simultaneously, we introduce an optimal transport (OT) based Distribution Matching approach to further align with the target distribution structure. To ensure efficiency, we develop two enhanced strategies for diffusion based framework: Distribution Approximate Matching and Greedy Progressive Matching. These strategies enable effective distribution matching guidance with minimal computational overhead. Experimental results on ImageNet-Woof, ImageNet-Nette, and ImageNet-1K demonstrate that our training-free approach achieves significant improvements, outperforming state-of-the-art (SOTA) methods requiring additional fine-tuning by average accuracy gains of 2.1%, 5.4%, and 2.4%, respectively.

Towards accurate extreme event likelihoods from diffusion model climate emulators

ML climate model emulators are useful for scenario planning and adaptation, allowing for cost-efficient experimentation. Recently, the diffusion model Climate in a Bottle (cBottle) has been proposed for generation of atmospheric states compatible with boundary conditions of solar position and sea surface temperatures. Crucially, cBottle can be guided to generate extreme events such as Tropical Cyclones (TCs) over locations of interest. Diffusion models such as cBottle work by approximating the probability density of the training data. Here, we show use cases of the probability density estimates of atmospheric states obtained from this climate emulator. Most importantly, these estimates allow us to calculate likelihoods of extreme events under guidance. When guiding the model towards states including TCs, comparing the probability density under the guided and unguided model enables us to quantify how much more likely the guidance has made the TC. We show how these odds ratios allow us to importance-sample from the TC distribution, reducing the standard error of the probability estimate compared to simple Monte Carlo sampling. Furthermore, we discuss results and limitations of the application of model probability densities to extreme event attribution-like experiments. We present these early but encouraging results hoping they will spur more research into probabilistic information that can be gained from diffusion models of the atmosphere.

Stylistic Attribute Control in Latent Diffusion Models

Text-to-image diffusion models have revolutionized image synthesis and editing, but precise control over stylistic attributes remains a challenge, often causing unintended content modifications. We propose an approach for fine-grained parametric control of stylistic attributes in latent diffusion models by learning disentangled editing directions from synthetic datasets. We use guidance composition to close the domain gap between stylistically finetuned and foundation models, preserving the original image semantics while applying stylistic adjustments. To ensure consistent edits, we introduce a training regularization loss and enhance DDIM inversion with optimized null-conditional embeddings for real image editing. We validate our approach by learning from stylistically filtered synthetic datasets varying a range of stylistic attributes, including outlines, local contrast, watercolorization effects, and geometric patterns. Our evaluations demonstrate that compared to current text-based editing techniques, our method offers well-integrated, more precise and continuously adjustable stylistic modifications.

Difix3D-W: Distractor-Free Few-Shot 3D Gaussian Splatting in the Wild

We propose Difix3D-W, a 3D novel sparse-view synthesis framework for unconstrained real-world scenarios that contain distractors, occlusion, and appearance variation. Unlike existing methods that primarily perform novel-view synthesis from a sparse set of constrained images without transient elements or leverage unconstrained dense image collections in real-world scenarios, our method utilize sparse unconstrained images, showing high-quality 3D rendering results. To do this, we introduce reference-guided view refinement with a redesigned one-step diffusion model using a transient mask and a reference image to mitigate artifacts in rendered views, enhancing the 3D representation in the Gaussian field. Furthermore, we address sparse regions in the Gaussian field leveraging sparsity-aware Gaussian replication strategy to amplify Gaussians in the sparse regions and alleviate deficient camera viewpoint issues. Finally, we utilize LoRA and regularization to maintain 3D multi-view consistency. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method consistently outperforms existing methods. This advancement paves the way for realizing real-world scenarios without labor-intensive data acquisition.

Delta Score Matters! Spatial Adaptive Multi Guidance in Diffusion Models

Diffusion models have achieved remarkable success in synthesizing complex static and temporal visuals, a breakthrough largely driven by Classifier-Free Guidance (CFG). However, despite its pivotal role in aligning generated content with textual prompts, standard CFG relies on a globally uniform scalar. This homogeneous amplification traps models in a well-documented "detail-artifact dilemma": low guidance scales fail to inject intricate semantics, while high scales inevitably cause structural degradation, color over-saturation, and temporal inconsistencies in videos. In this paper, we expose the physical root of this flaw through the lens of differential geometry. By analyzing Tweedie's Formula, we reveal that CFG intrinsically performs a tangential linear extrapolation. Because the natural data manifold is highly curved, this uniform linear step introduces a severe orthogonal deviation. To keep the generation trajectory safely bounded, we formulate a theoretical upper bound for spatial and adaptive guidance. Based on these geometric insights, we propose Spatial Adaptive Multi Guidance (SAMG), a training-free and virtually zero-cost sampling algorithm. SAMG dynamically computes point-wise conditional guidance energy, applying a conservative minimum scale to high-energy boundary regions to preserve delicate micro-textures, while deploying an aggressive maximum scale in low-energy regions to maximize semantic injection. Extensive experiments across diverse image (SD 1.5, SDXL, SD3.5 Medium) and video (CogVideoX, ModelScope) architectures demonstrate that SAMG effectively resolves the detail-artifact dilemma, achieving superior semantic alignment, structural integrity, and temporal smoothness without any computational overhead.

ACPO: Anchor-Constrained Perceptual Optimization for Diffusion Models with No-Reference Quality Guidance

Diffusion models have achieved remarkable success in image generation, yet their training is predominantly driven by full-reference objectives that enforce pixel-wise similarity to ground-truth images.Such supervision, while effective for fidelity, may insufficient in terms of subjective visual perception quality and text-image semantic consistency. In this work, we investigate the problem of incorporating no-reference perceptual quality into diffusion training. A key challenge is that directly optimizing perceptual signals, such as those provided by no-reference image quality assessment (NR-IQA) models, introduces a mismatch with the original diffusion objective, leading to training instability and distributional drift during fine-tuning. To address this issue, we propose an anchor-constrained optimization framework that enables stable perceptual adaptation. Specifically, we leverage a learned NR-IQA model as a perceptual guidance signal, while introducing an anchor-based regularization that enforces consistency with the base diffusion model in terms of noise prediction. This design effectively balances perceptual quality improvement and generative fidelity, allowing controlled adaptation toward perceptually favorable outputs without compromising the original generative behavior. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method consistently enhances perceptual quality while preserving generation diversity and training stability, highlighting the effectiveness of anchor-constrained perceptual optimization for diffusion models.

The Safety-Aware Denoiser for Text Diffusion Models

Recent work on text diffusion models offers a promising alternative to autoregressive generation, but controlling their safety remains underexplored. Existing safety approaches are geared toward autoregressive models and typically rely on post-hoc filtering or inference-time interventions. These are inadequate for effectively addressing safety risks in text diffusion models. We propose the Safety-Aware Denoiser (SAD), a safety-guidance framework in text diffusion models. The SAD modifies the iterative denoising process such that the text sample at the final denoising step is steered toward provably safe regions of the text space. This inference-time method can integrate safety constraints into the denoiser, avoiding computationally expensive retraining of the underlying diffusion model and enabling flexible, lightweight safety guidance. We evaluate the safety of the generated text using the SAD, with respect to hazard taxonomy, memorization, and jailbreak. Experimental results show that SAD substantially reduces unsafe generations while preserving generation quality, diversity, and fluency, outperforming existing methods. These results demonstrate that our safety guidance during denoising provides an effective and scalable mechanism for enforcing safety in text diffusion models.

GeoEdit: Local Frames for Fast, Training-Free On-Manifold Editing in Diffusion Models

Diffusion models are a leading paradigm for data generation, but training-free editing typically re-runs the full denoising trajectory for every edit strength, making iterative refinement expensive. To address this issue, we instead edit near the data manifold, where small local updates can replace repeated re-synthesis. To enable this, we estimate a local manifold tangent space directly from perturbed samples and prove that this sample-based estimator closely approximates the true tangent. Building on this guarantee, we devise a Jacobian-free algorithm that constructs a tangent frame via small perturbations to the initial noise and alternates small tangent moves with diffusion-based projections. Updates within this frame follow principled on-manifold directions while suppressing off-manifold drift, enabling fine-grained edits without full re-diffusion or additional training. Edit strength is controlled by the number of steps for rapid, continuous adjustments that preserve fidelity and plug into existing samplers. Empirically, the resulting tangent directions yield smooth, semantic unsupervised traversals and effective CLIP-guided optimization, demonstrating practical interactive continuous editing.

Bridging Restoration and Generation Manifolds in One-Step Diffusion for Real-World Super-Resolution

Pretrained diffusion models have revolutionized real-world image super-resolution (Real-ISR) but suffer from computational bottlenecks due to iterative sampling. Recent single-step distillation accelerates inference but faces a stark perception-distortion trade-off due to rigid timestep initialization, distributional trajectory mismatches, and fragile stochastic modulation. To address this, we present Adaptive Inversion and Degradation-aware Sampling for Real-ISR (IDaS-SR), a one-step framework bridging the deterministic restoration and stochastic generation manifolds. At its core, the Manifold Inversion Noise Estimator (MINE) resolves these initialization and trajectory mismatches by predicting a severity-aware timestep and inversion noise, precisely anchoring low-quality latents onto the diffusion trajectory. Furthermore, to mitigate fragile stochastic modulation, we propose CHARIOT, a continuous generative steering mechanism. By rescheduling trajectories and interpolating noise, it enables explicit navigation of the perception-distortion boundary without compromising structural priors. Extensive experiments demonstrate that IDaS-SR outperforms state-of-the-art methods, seamlessly transitioning from a rigorous structural restorer to a sophisticated texture hallucinator in a single inference step.

Structure-Guided Diffusion Model for EEG-Based Visual Cognition Reconstruction

Objective: Decoding visual information from electroencephalography (EEG) is an important problem in neuroscience and brain-computer interface (BCI) research. Existing methods are largely restricted to natural images and categorical representations, with limited capacity to capture structural features and to differentiate objective perception from subjective cognition. We propose a Structure-Guided Diffusion Model (SGDM) that incorporates explicit structural information for EEG-based visual reconstruction. Approach: SGDM is evaluated on the Kilogram abstract visual object dataset and the THINGS natural image dataset using a two-stage generative mechanism. The framework combines a structurally supervised variational autoencoder with a spatiotemporal EEG encoder aligned to a visual embedding space via contrastive learning. Structural information is integrated into a diffusion model through ControlNet to guide image generation from EEG features. Results: SGDM outperforms existing methods on both abstract and natural image datasets. Reconstructed images achieve higher fidelity in low-level visual features and semantic representations, indicating improved decoding accuracy and strong generalization across diverse visual domains. Spatiotemporal analysis of EEG signals further reveals hierarchical structural encoding patterns, consistent with the neural dynamics of visual cognition. Significance: These findings validate the effectiveness of SGDM in capturing explicit structural geometry and generating images with high fidelity to individual cognitive representations. By enabling decoding of complex visual content from EEG signals, the framework extends neural decoding beyond low-dimensional or categorical outputs. This supports BCIs with increased degrees of freedom for intention decoding and more flexible brain-to-machine communication.

AttDiff-GAN: A Hybrid Diffusion-GAN Framework for Facial Attribute Editing

Facial attribute editing aims to modify target attributes while preserving attribute-irrelevant content and overall image fidelity. Existing GAN-based methods provide favorable controllability, but often suffer from weak alignment between style codes and attribute semantics. Diffusion-based methods can synthesize highly realistic images; however, their editing precision is limited by the entanglement of semantic directions among different attributes. In this paper, we propose AttDiff-GAN, a hybrid framework that combines GAN-based attribute manipulation with diffusion-based image generation. A key challenge in such integration lies in the inconsistency between one-step adversarial learning and multi-step diffusion denoising, which makes effective optimization difficult. To address this issue, we decouple attribute editing from image synthesis by introducing a feature-level adversarial learning scheme to learn explicit attribute manipulation, and then using the manipulated features to guide the diffusion process for image generation, while also removing the reliance on semantic direction-based editing. Moreover, we enhance style-attribute alignment by introducing PriorMapper, which incorporates facial priors into style generation, and RefineExtractor, which captures global semantic relationships through a Transformer for more precise style extraction. Experimental results on CelebA-HQ show that the proposed method achieves more accurate facial attribute editing and better preservation of non-target attributes than state-of-the-art methods in both qualitative and quantitative evaluations.

LatRef-Diff: Latent and Reference-Guided Diffusion for Facial Attribute Editing and Style Manipulation

Facial attribute editing and style manipulation are crucial for applications like virtual avatars and photo editing. However, achieving precise control over facial attributes without altering unrelated features is challenging due to the complexity of facial structures and the strong correlations between attributes. While conditional GANs have shown progress, they are limited by accuracy issues and training instability. Diffusion models, though promising, face challenges in style manipulation due to the limited expressiveness of semantic directions. In this paper, we propose LatRef-Diff, a novel diffusion-based framework that addresses these limitations. We replace the traditional semantic directions in diffusion models with style codes and propose two methods for generating them: latent and reference guidance. Based on these style codes, we design a style modulation module that integrates them into the target image, enabling both random and customized style manipulation. This module incorporates learnable vectors, cross-attention mechanisms, and a hierarchical design to improve accuracy and image quality. Additionally, to enhance training stability while eliminating the need for paired images (e.g., before and after editing), we propose a forward-backward consistency training strategy. This strategy first removes the target attribute approximately using image-specific semantic directions and then restores it via style modulation, guided by perceptual and classification losses. Extensive experiments on CelebA-HQ demonstrate that LatRef-Diff achieves state-of-the-art performance in both qualitative and quantitative evaluations. Ablation studies validate the effectiveness of our model's design choices.

MMControl: Unified Multi-Modal Control for Joint Audio-Video Generation

Recent advances in Diffusion Transformers (DiTs) have enabled high-quality joint audio-video generation, producing videos with synchronized audio within a single model. However, existing controllable generation frameworks are typically restricted to video-only control. This restricts comprehensive controllability and often leads to suboptimal cross-modal alignment. To bridge this gap, we present MMControl, which enables users to perform Multi-Modal Control in joint audio-video generation. MMControl introduces a dual-stream conditional injection mechanism. It incorporates both visual and acoustic control signals, including reference images, reference audio, depth maps, and pose sequences, into a joint generation process. These conditions are injected through bypass branches into a joint audio-video Diffusion Transformer, enabling the model to simultaneously generate identity-consistent video and timbre-consistent audio under structural constraints. Furthermore, we introduce modality-specific guidance scaling, which allows users to independently and dynamically adjust the influence strength of each visual and acoustic condition at inference time. Extensive experiments demonstrate that MMControl achieves fine-grained, composable control over character identity, voice timbre, body pose, and scene layout in joint audio-video generation.

Class-specific diffusion models improve military object detection in a low-data domain

Diffusion-based image synthesis has emerged as a promising source of synthetic training data for AI-based object detection and classification. In this work, we investigate whether images generated with diffusion can improve military vehicle detection under low-data conditions. We fine-tuned the text-to-image diffusion model FLUX.1 [dev] using LoRA with only 8 or 24 real images per class across 15 vehicle categories, resulting in class-specific diffusion models, which were used to generate new samples from automatically generated text prompts. The same real images were used to fine-tune the RF-DETR detector for a 15-class object detection task. Synthetic datasets generated by the diffusion models were then used to further improve detector performance. Importantly, no additional real data was required, as the generative models leveraged the same limited training samples. FLUX-generated images improved detection performance, particularly in the low-data regime (up to +8.0% mAP50_{50} with 8 real samples). To address the limited geometric control of text prompt-based diffusion, we additionally generated structurally guided synthetic data using ControlNet with Canny edge-map conditioning, yielding a FLUX-ControlNet (FLUX-CN) dataset with explicit control over viewpoint and pose. Structural guidance further enhanced performance when data is scarce (+4.1% mAP50_{50} with 8 real samples), but no additional benefit was observed when more real data is available. This study demonstrates that object-specific diffusion models are effective for improving military object detection in a low-data domain, and that structural guidance is most beneficial when real data is highly limited. These results highlight generative image data as an alternative to traditional simulation pipelines for the training of military AI systems.

DGSSM: Diffusion guided state-space models for multimodal salient object detection

Salient object detection (SOD) requires modeling both long-range contextual dependencies and fine-grained structural details, which remains challenging for convolutional, transformer-based, and Mamba-based state space models. While recent Mamba-based state space approaches enable efficient global reasoning, they often struggle to recover precise object boundaries. In contrast, diffusion models capture strong structural priors through iterative denoising, but their use in discriminative dense prediction is still limited due to computational cost and integration challenges. In this work, we propose DGSSM, a diffusion-guided state space (Mamba) framework that formulates multimodal salient object detection as a progressive denoising process. The framework integrates diffusion structural priors with multi-scale state space encoding, adaptive saliency prompting, and an iterative Mamba diffusion refinement mechanism to improve boundary accuracy. A boundary-aware refinement head and self-distillation strategy further enhance spatial coherence and feature consistency. Extensive experiments on 13 public benchmarks across RGB, RGB-D, and RGB-T settings demonstrate that DGSSM consistently outperforms state-of-the-art methods across multiple evaluation metrics while maintaining a compact model size. These results suggest that diffusion-guided state space modeling is an effective and generalizable paradigm for multimodal dense prediction tasks.

UniGeo: Unifying Geometric Guidance for Camera-Controllable Image Editing via Video Models

Camera-controllable image editing aims to synthesize novel views of a given scene under varying camera poses while strictly preserving cross-view geometric consistency. However, existing methods typically rely on fragmented geometric guidance, such as only injecting point clouds at the representation level despite models containing multiple levels, and are mainly based on image diffusion models that operate on discrete view mappings. These two limitations jointly lead to geometric drift and structural degradation under continuous camera motion. We observe that while leveraging video models provides continuous viewpoint priors for camera-controllable image editing, they still struggle to form stable geometric understanding if geometric guidance remains fragmented. To systematically address this, we inject unified geometric guidance across three levels that jointly determine the generative output: representation, architecture, and loss function. To this end, we propose UniGeo, a novel camera-controllable editing framework. Specifically, at the representation level, UniGeo incorporates a frame-decoupled geometric reference injection mechanism to provide robust cross-view geometry context. At the architecture level, it introduces geometric anchor attention to align multi-view features. At the loss function level, it proposes a trajectory-endpoint geometric supervision strategy to explicitly reinforce the structural fidelity of target views. Comprehensive experiments across multiple public benchmarks, encompassing both extensive and limited camera motion settings, demonstrate that UniGeo significantly outperforms existing methods in both visual quality and geometric consistency.

Safer Trajectory Planning with CBF-guided Diffusion Model for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

Safe and agile trajectory planning is essential for autonomous systems, especially during complex aerobatic maneuvers. Motivated by the recent success of diffusion models in generative tasks, this paper introduces AeroTrajGen, a novel framework for diffusion-based trajectory generation that incorporates control barrier function (CBF)-guided sampling during inference, specifically designed for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The proposed CBF-guided sampling addresses two critical challenges: (1) mitigating the inherent unpredictability and potential safety violations of diffusion models, and (2) reducing reliance on extensively safety-verified training data. During the reverse diffusion process, CBF-based guidance ensures collision-free trajectories by seamlessly integrating safety constraint gradients with the diffusion model's score function. The model features an obstacle-aware diffusion transformer architecture with multi-modal conditioning, including trajectory history, obstacles, maneuver styles, and goal, enabling the generation of smooth, highly agile trajectories across 14 distinct aerobatic maneuvers. Trained on a dataset of 2,000 expert demonstrations, AeroTrajGen is rigorously evaluated in simulation under multi-obstacle environments. Simulation results demonstrate that CBF-guided sampling reduces collision rates by 94.7% compared to unguided diffusion baselines, while preserving trajectory agility and diversity. When Earth Foundation Models Meet Diffusion: An Application to Land Surface Temperature Super-Resolution

Land surface temperature (LST) super-resolution is important for environmental monitoring. However, it remains challenging as coarse thermal observations severely underdetermine fine-scale structure. In this paper, we propose Earth Foundation Model-guided Diffusion (EFDiff), a novel framework for super-resolution under extreme spatial degradation. EFDiff uses the Prithvi-EO-2.0 Earth foundation model to encode high-resolution multispectral reflectance into geospatial embeddings, which are injected into the denoising network via cross-attention to guide fine-scale reconstruction from highly degraded observations. We study two variants, EFDiff-εε and EFDiff-x0x_0, which offer complementary trade-offs between perceptual realism and pixel-level fidelity. We evaluate EFDiff under an extreme 32×32\times scale gap using a globally diverse benchmark comprising 242,416 co-registered Landsat thermal-reflectance patches. Results show that EFDiff consistently outperforms baseline methods and that cross-attention conditioning by EFM is more effective than HLS channel concatenation. Although we present EFDiff in the context of LST super-resolution, the framework is broadly applicable to remote sensing problems in which pretrained geospatial representations can guide generative reconstruction.

Generative Semantic Communication via Alternating Dual-Domain Posterior Sampling

Generative semantic communication (SemCom) harnesses pretrained generative priors to improve the perceptual quality of wireless image transmission. Existing generative SemCom receivers, however, rely on maximum a posteriori (MAP) estimation, which fundamentally cannot preserve the data distribution and thus limits achievable perceptual quality. Moreover, current diffusion-based approaches using single-domain guidance face significant limitations: latent-domain guidance is sensitive to channel noise, while image-domain guidance inherits decoder bias. Simply combining both domains simultaneously yields an overconfident pseudo-posterior. In this paper, we formulate semantic decoding as a Bayesian inverse problem and prove that posterior sampling achieves optimal perceptual quality by preserving the data distribution. Building on this insight, we propose alternating dual-domain posterior sampling (ADDPS), a diffusion-based SemCom receiver that alternately enforces latent-domain and image-domain consistency during the sampling process. This alternating strategy decomposes joint posterior sampling into simpler subproblems, avoiding gradient conflicts while retaining the complementary strengths of both domains. Experiments on FFHQ demonstrate that the proposed ADDPS achieves superior perceptual quality compared with existing methods.

Motion-Adapter: A Diffusion Model Adapter for Text-to-Motion Generation of Compound Actions

Recent advances in generative motion synthesis have enabled the production of realistic human motions from diverse input modalities. However, synthesizing compound actions from texts, which integrate multiple concurrent actions into coherent full-body sequences, remains a major challenge. We identify two key limitations in current text-to-motion diffusion models: (i) catastrophic neglect, where earlier actions are overwritten by later ones due to improper handling of temporal information, and (ii) attention collapse, which arises from excessive feature fusion in cross-attention mechanisms. As a result, existing approaches often depend on overly detailed textual descriptions (e.g., raising right hand), explicit body-part specifications (e.g., editing the upper body), or the use of large language models (LLMs) for body-part interpretation. These strategies lead to deficient semantic representations of physical structures and kinematic mechanisms, limiting the ability to incorporate natural behaviors such as greeting while walking. To address these issues, we propose the Motion-Adapter, a plug-and-play module that guides text-to-motion diffusion models in generating compound actions by computing decoupled cross-attention maps, which serve as structural masks during the denoising process. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method consistently produces more faithful and coherent compound motions across diverse textual prompts, surpassing state-of-the-art approaches.

UniRect-CoT: Enhancing Generation in Unified Multimodal Models via Reflective Rectification with Inherent Understanding

Unified Multimodal Models (UMMs) aim to integrate visual understanding and generation within a single structure. However, these models exhibit a notable capability mismatch, where their understanding capability often outperforms their generation capability. This mismatch suggests that the model's rich internal knowledge, while effective for understanding tasks, is not fully utilized during generation. To address this, we draw inspiration from the human ``Thinking-While-Drawing'' paradigm, where humans continuously reflect on intermediate results and revise them according to their understanding of the intended target. In this paper, we propose UniRect-CoT, a training-free unified rectification chain-of-thought framework. We regard the multi-step denoising process in UMMs as an intrinsic visual reasoning process, whose intermediate states provide opportunities for continuous reflection and rectification. By leveraging the UMM's inherent understanding to reflect on intermediate results in light of the target instruction and rectify them accordingly, our framework forms a reflective chain of thought within a single denoising trajectory, enabling the model's internal knowledge to guide generation throughout the process. Specifically, the UMM generates a state-conditioned reflection, whose autoregressive negative log-likelihood under the same model defines a model-native differentiable semantic loss that translates textual reflection into gradients for latent rectification. Extensive experiments demonstrate that UniRect-CoT generalizes across existing flow-based UMMs, consistently enhancing overall text-to-image generation performance.

Finetuning-Free Diffusion Model with Adaptive Constraint Guidance for Inorganic Crystal Structure Generation

Generative diffusion models have emerged as powerful tools for the discovery of inorganic crystal structures, yet steering their sampling process toward user-defined physical and chemical objectives remains challenging. We present a computational framework that integrates adaptive constraint guidance into a pre-trained crystal diffusion model, enabling the generation of candidate structures that satisfy targeted structural and chemical requirements without model retraining. The approach incorporates differentiable constraint functions directly during sampling, providing an interpretable mechanism for expert-driven exploration of the crystal structure space. To assess the reliability of generated candidates, we introduce a multi-stage validation workflow combining descriptor-based analysis, duplicate removal, comparison with reference crystal databases, graph neural network energy prediction, and thermodynamic stability evaluation through convex-hull analysis. The framework is applied to several classes of inorganic compounds and to constraints involving atomic volume, local coordination environments, and near-neighbor structural motifs. Results demonstrate that adaptive guidance effectively redirects the sampling distribution toward structures exhibiting the desired characteristics while preserving chemical plausibility. Subsequent validation reveals which generated candidates remain viable after energetic and thermodynamic screening. The proposed methodology provides a practical and transparent strategy for incorporating expert knowledge into crystal generative models and establishes a general computational framework for constrained materials discovery.

PASDiff: Physics-Aware Semantic Guidance for Joint Real-World Low-Light Face Enhancement and Restoration

Face images captured in real-world low light suffer multiple degradations-low illumination, blur, noise, and low visibility, etc. Existing cascaded solutions often suffer from severe error accumulation, while generic joint models lack explicit facial priors and struggle to resolve clear face structures. In this paper, we propose PASDiff, a Physics-Aware Semantic Diffusion with a training-free manner. To achieve a plausible illumination and color distribution, we leverage inverse intensity weighting and Retinex theory to introduce photometric constraints, thereby reliably recovering visibility and natural chromaticity. To faithfully reconstruct facial details, our Style-Agnostic Structural Injection (SASI) extracts structures from an off-the-shelf facial prior while filtering out its intrinsic photometric biases, seamlessly harmonizing identity features with physical constraints. Furthermore, we construct WildDark-Face, a real-world benchmark of 700 low-light facial images with complex degradations. Extensive experiments demonstrate that PASDiff significantly outperforms existing methods, achieving a superior balance among natural illumination, color recovery, and identity consistency. Code and dataset will be available at https://github.com/IVIPLab/PASDiff.

EgoForge: Goal-Directed Egocentric World Simulator

Generative world models have shown promise for simulating dynamic environments, yet egocentric video remains challenging due to rapid viewpoint changes, frequent hand-object interactions, and goal-directed procedures whose evolution depends on latent human intent. Existing approaches either focus on hand-centric instructional synthesis with limited scene evolution, perform static view translation without modeling action dynamics, or rely on dense supervision, such as camera trajectories, long video prefixes, and synchronized multi-camera capture. In this work, we introduce EgoForge, an egocentric goal-directed world simulator that generates coherent, first-person video rollouts from minimal static inputs: a single egocentric image, a high-level instruction, and an optional auxiliary exocentric view. To improve intent alignment and temporal coherence, we introduce GRAFT, a trajectory-level diffusion refinement method that uses positive and negative rollout distributions, derived from goal, temporal, scene-consistency, and perceptual rewards, to steer the diffusion velocity field toward coherent, goal-complete egocentric simulations. Extensive experiments show EgoForge achieves consistent gains in semantic alignment, geometric stability, and motion fidelity over strong baselines, and performs robustly in real-world smart-glasses experiments.

Scene Generation at Absolute Scale: Utilizing Semantic and Geometric Guidance From Text for Accurate and Interpretable 3D Indoor Scene Generation

We present GuidedSceneGen, a text-to-3D generation framework that produces metrically accurate, globally consistent, and semantically interpretable indoor scenes. Unlike prior text-driven methods that often suffer from geometric drift or scale ambiguity, our approach maintains an absolute world coordinate frame throughout the entire generation process. Starting from a textual scene description, we predict a global 3D layout encoding both semantic and geometric structure, which serves as a guiding proxy for downstream stages. A semantics- and depth-conditioned panoramic diffusion model then synthesizes 360° imagery aligned with the global layout, substantially improving spatial coherence. To explore unobserved regions, we employ a video diffusion model guided by optimized camera trajectories that balances coverage and collision avoidance, achieving up to 10x faster sampling compared to exhaustive path exploration. The generated views are fused using 3D Gaussian Splatting, yielding a consistent and fully navigable 3D scene in absolute scale. GuidedSceneGen enables accurate transfer of object poses and semantic labels from layout to reconstruction, and supports progressive scene expansion without re-alignment. Quantitative results and a user study demonstrate greater 3D consistency and layout plausibility compared to recent panoramic text-to-3D baselines.

Adaptive Weighted h-Transform Sampling for Coarse-Guided Visual Generation

Coarse-guided visual generation, which synthesizes fine visual samples from degraded or low-fidelity coarse references, is essential for various real-world applications. While training-based approaches are effective, they are inherently limited by high training costs and restricted generalization due to paired data collection. Accordingly, recent training-free works propose to leverage pretrained diffusion models and incorporate guidance during the sampling process. However, these training-free methods either require knowing the forward (fine-to-coarse) transformation operator, e.g., bicubic downsampling, or are difficult to balance between guidance and synthetic quality. To address these challenges, we propose a novel guided method by using the h-transform, a tool that can constrain stochastic processes (e.g., sampling process) under desired conditions. Specifically, we modify the transition probability at each sampling timestep by adding to the original differential equation with a drift function hh, which approximately steers the generation toward the ideal fine sample. To address unavoidable approximation errors, we introduce an adaptive weight scheduler that combines a noise-level-aware initialization with a correction based on cross-timestep consistency, balancing guidance adherence and synthesis quality. Extensive experiments across diverse image and video generation tasks demonstrate its effectiveness and generalization.
