Battery Disassembly
Efficiently disassembling end-of-life electric vehicle batteries is crucial for sustainable battery recycling, driving research into automated and semi-autonomous robotic solutions. Current research focuses on developing robotic systems incorporating advanced control algorithms (like Cartesian impedance controllers and neuro-symbolic AI) and mixed reality interfaces to improve precision, safety, and adaptability in complex disassembly tasks. These advancements aim to optimize disassembly sequences, reduce human intervention in hazardous environments, and ultimately accelerate the transition towards a circular economy for battery materials.
