HOI Generation

HOI: Human-Object Interaction

Overview

Human-object interaction generation studies how to create plausible motion and visual sequences in which people grasp, manipulate, carry, or otherwise interact with objects. Common approaches use diffusion and flow-matching models conditioned on text, images, poses, or sparse video controls, often adding contact maps, affordances, 3D geometry, or physics-based refinement. Researchers evaluate motion and video on datasets such as GRAB, OakInk, ARCTIC, and BEHAVE, while also exploring multi-person interactions and transfer to robot manipulation. A central challenge is balancing semantic control and visual quality with accurate contact, physical plausibility, and generalization to unseen objects and scenes, especially when paired training data is scarce.

Unleashing Guidance Without Classifiers for Human-Object Interaction Animation

Generating realistic human-object interaction (HOI) animations remains challenging because it requires jointly modeling dynamic human actions and diverse object geometries. Prior diffusion-based approaches often rely on hand-crafted contact priors or human-imposed kinematic constraints to improve contact quality. We propose LIGHT, a data-driven alternative in which guidance emerges from the denoising pace itself, reducing dependence on manually designed priors. Building on diffusion forcing, we factor the representation into modality-specific components and assign individualized noise levels with asynchronous denoising schedules. In this paradigm, cleaner components guide noisier ones through cross-attention, yielding guidance without auxiliary classifiers. We find that this data-driven guidance is inherently contact-aware, and can be enhanced when training is augmented with a broad spectrum of synthetic object geometries, encouraging invariance of contact semantics to geometric diversity. Extensive experiments show that pace-induced guidance more effectively mirrors the benefits of contact priors than conventional classifier-free guidance, while achieving higher contact fidelity, more realistic HOI generation, and stronger generalization to unseen objects and tasks.

ViHOI: Human-Object Interaction Synthesis with Visual Priors

Generating realistic and physically plausible 3D Human-Object Interactions (HOI) remains a key challenge in motion generation. One primary reason is that describing these physical constraints with words alone is difficult. To address this limitation, we propose a new paradigm: extracting rich interaction priors from easily accessible 2D images. Specifically, we introduce ViHOI, a novel framework that enables diffusion-based generative models to leverage rich, task-specific priors from 2D images to enhance generation quality. We utilize a large Vision-Language Model (VLM) as a powerful prior-extraction engine and adopt a layer-decoupled strategy to obtain visual and textual priors. Concurrently, we design a Q-Former-based adapter that compresses the VLM's high-dimensional features into compact prior tokens, which significantly facilitates the conditional training of our diffusion model. Our framework is trained on motion-rendered images from the dataset to ensure strict semantic alignment between visual inputs and motion sequences. During inference, it leverages reference images synthesized by a text-to-image generation model to improve generalization to unseen objects and interaction categories. Experimental results demonstrate that ViHOI achieves state-of-the-art performance, outperforming existing methods across multiple benchmarks and demonstrating superior generalization.

PAM: A Pose-Appearance-Motion Engine for Sim-to-Real HOI Video Generation

Hand-object interaction (HOI) reconstruction and synthesis are becoming central to embodied AI and AR/VR. Yet, despite rapid progress, existing HOI generation research remains fragmented across three disjoint tracks: (1) pose-only synthesis that predicts MANO trajectories without producing pixels; (2) single-image HOI generation that hallucinates appearance from masks or 2D cues but lacks dynamics; and (3) video generation methods that require both the entire pose sequence and the ground-truth first frame as inputs, preventing true sim-to-real deployment. Inspired by the philosophy of Joo et al. (2018), we think that HOI generation requires a unified engine that brings together pose, appearance, and motion within one coherent framework. Thus we introduce PAM: a Pose-Appearance-Motion Engine for controllable HOI video generation. The performance of our engine is validated by: (1) On DexYCB, we obtain an FVD of 29.13 (vs. 38.83 for InterDyn), and MPJPE of 19.37 mm (vs. 30.05 mm for CosHand), while generating higher-resolution 480x720 videos compared to 256x256 and 256x384 baselines. (2) On OAKINK2, our full multi-condition model improves FVD from 68.76 to 46.31. (3) An ablation over input conditions on DexYCB shows that combining depth, segmentation, and keypoints consistently yields the best results. (4) For a downstream hand pose estimation task using SimpleHand, augmenting training with 3,400 synthetic videos (207k frames) allows a model trained on only 50% of the real data plus our synthetic data to match the 100% real baseline.

Glove2Hand: Synthesizing Natural Hand-Object Interaction from Multi-Modal Sensing Gloves

Understanding hand-object interaction (HOI) is fundamental to computer vision, robotics, and AR/VR. However, conventional hand videos often lack essential physical information such as contact forces and motion signals, and are prone to frequent occlusions. To address the challenges, we present Glove2Hand, a framework that translates multi-modal sensing glove HOI videos into photorealistic bare hands, while faithfully preserving the underlying physical interaction dynamics. We introduce a novel 3D Gaussian hand model that ensures temporal rendering consistency. The rendered hand is seamlessly integrated into the scene using a diffusion-based hand restorer, which effectively handles complex hand-object interactions and non-rigid deformations. Leveraging Glove2Hand, we create HandSense, the first multi-modal HOI dataset featuring glove-to-hand videos with synchronized tactile and IMU signals. We demonstrate that HandSense significantly enhances downstream bare-hand applications, including video-based contact estimation and hand tracking under severe occlusion.

EgoForge: Goal-Directed Egocentric World Simulator

Generative world models have shown promise for simulating dynamic environments, yet egocentric video remains challenging due to rapid viewpoint changes, frequent hand-object interactions, and goal-directed procedures whose evolution depends on latent human intent. Existing approaches either focus on hand-centric instructional synthesis with limited scene evolution, perform static view translation without modeling action dynamics, or rely on dense supervision, such as camera trajectories, long video prefixes, and synchronized multi-camera capture. In this work, we introduce EgoForge, an egocentric goal-directed world simulator that generates coherent, first-person video rollouts from minimal static inputs: a single egocentric image, a high-level instruction, and an optional auxiliary exocentric view. To improve intent alignment and temporal coherence, we introduce GRAFT, a trajectory-level diffusion refinement method that uses positive and negative rollout distributions, derived from goal, temporal, scene-consistency, and perceptual rewards, to steer the diffusion velocity field toward coherent, goal-complete egocentric simulations. Extensive experiments show EgoForge achieves consistent gains in semantic alignment, geometric stability, and motion fidelity over strong baselines, and performs robustly in real-world smart-glasses experiments.

MVHOI: Bridge Multi-view Condition to Complex Human-Object Interaction Video Reenactment via 3D Foundation Model

Human-Object Interaction (HOI) video reenactment aims to transfer the interaction dynamics of a source video to a novel target object while preserving realistic hand-object coordination. Existing methods typically rely on sparse 2D motion controls and monocular references, which are insufficient for complex out-of-plane motion and large viewpoint changes. We present MVHOI, a two-stage framework combining implicit motion extraction, 3D-aware multi-view reasoning, and video generation. In the first stage, a motion extractor encodes object dynamics into implicit motion descriptors. Conditioned on these descriptors, our Motion-Driven Object Prior (MDOP) module queries a 3D foundation model over multi-view references of the target object and autoregressively predicts coarse object anchors, a sequence of images that track the object's evolving orientation and appearance under the source motion without any explicit pose estimation. In the second stage, a DiT-based video generation model uses these anchors as structural guidance and the multi-view references as appearance guidance. We further reuse cross-view attention from MDOP as a soft attention bias to reduce reference-view confusion. For long videos, a cross-iterative inference strategy refreshes subsequent object priors using refined video outputs. Experiments demonstrate consistent improvements over state-of-the-art methods in object fidelity, motion consistency, visual quality, and interaction realism.

Egocentric World Model for Photorealistic Hand-Object Interaction Synthesis

To serve as a scalable data source for embodied AI, world models should act as true simulators that infer interaction dynamics strictly from user actions, rather than mere conditional video generators relying on privileged future object states. In this context, egocentric Human-Object Interaction (HOI) world models are critical for predicting physically grounded first-person rollouts. However, building such models is profoundly challenging due to rapid head motions, severe occlusions, and high-DoF hand articulations that abruptly alter contact topologies. Consequently, existing approaches often circumvent these physics challenges by resorting to conditional video generation with access to known future object trajectories. We introduce EgoHOI, an egocentric HOI world model that breaks away from this shortcut to simulate photorealistic, contact-consistent interactions from action signals alone. To ensure physical accuracy without future-state inputs, EgoHOI distills geometric and kinematic priors from 3D estimates into physics-informed embeddings. These embeddings regularize the egocentric rollouts toward physically valid dynamics. Experiments on the HOT3D dataset demonstrate consistent gains over strong baselines, and ablations validate the effectiveness of our physics-informed design.

Hoi3DGen: Generating High-Quality Human-Object-Interactions in 3D

Modeling and generating 3D human-object interactions from text is crucial for applications in AR, XR, and gaming. Existing approaches often rely on score distillation from text-to-image models, but their results suffer from the Janus problem and do not follow text prompts faithfully due to the scarcity of high-quality interaction data. We introduce Hoi3DGen, a framework that generates high-quality textured meshes of human-object interaction that follow the input interaction descriptions precisely. We first curate realistic and high-quality interaction data leveraging multimodal large language models, and then create a full text-to-3D pipeline, which achieves orders-of-magnitude improvements in interaction fidelity. Our method surpasses baselines by 4-15x in text consistency and 3-7x in 3D model quality, exhibiting strong generalization to diverse categories and interaction types, while maintaining high-quality 3D generation.

Controllable Egocentric Video Generation via Occlusion-Aware Sparse 3D Hand Joints

Controllable video generation for complex hand-object interactions is a critical step toward building visual world models. However, existing methods often struggle to achieve fine-grained, 3D-consistent hand articulation in generated videos. By relying on dense 2D trajectories or implicit pose representations, they collapse crucial geometric structures into spatially ambiguous signals, leading to severe motion inconsistencies and hallucinated artifacts under egocentric occlusions. To address this, we propose leveraging sparse 3D hand joints as explicit control signals with three key advantages: explicit geometry to resolve occlusions, an intuitive interface for interactive editing, and cross-embodiment generalization to robotic hands. Built upon this, our efficient control module extracts occlusion-aware features from the source reference frame by penalizing unreliable visual features from hidden joints, and employs a 3D-based weighting mechanism to handle dynamically occluded target joints during motion propagation. Meanwhile, it directly injects 3D geometric embeddings into the latent space to enforce structural consistency. To facilitate robust training and evaluation, we develop an automated annotation pipeline, yielding 1M high-quality egocentric video clips paired with precise hand trajectories. Experiments demonstrate that our approach outperforms state-of-the-art baselines, generating high-fidelity egocentric videos with realistic hand-object interactions.

DISPLAY: Directable Human-Object Interaction Video Generation via Sparse Motion Guidance and Multi-Task Auxiliary

Human-centric video generation has advanced rapidly, yet existing methods struggle to produce controllable and physically consistent Human-Object Interaction (HOI) videos. Existing works rely on dense control signals, template videos, or carefully crafted text prompts, which limit flexibility and generalization to novel objects. We introduce a framework, namely DISPLAY, guided by Sparse Motion Guidance, composed only of wrist joint coordinates and a shape-agnostic object bounding box. This lightweight guidance alleviates the imbalance between human and object representations and enables intuitive user control. To enhance fidelity under such sparse conditions, we propose an Object-Stressed Attention mechanism that improves object robustness. To address the scarcity of high-quality HOI data, we further develop a Multi-Task Auxiliary Training strategy with a dedicated data curation pipeline, allowing the model to benefit from both reliable HOI samples and auxiliary tasks. Comprehensive experiments show that our method achieves high-fidelity, controllable HOI generation across diverse tasks. The project page can be found at \href{https://mumuwei.github.io/DISPLAY/}.

DuetHOI: Language-Guided Bimanual Hand--Object Motion Generation with Articulation Planning and Contact Refinement

Bimanual articulated-object interaction generation requires a model to capture the evolution of object articulation, coordination between the two hands, and fine-grained hand--object contact. Existing methods typically encode object and hand motion as a unified high-dimensional sequence, making it difficult to explicitly accommodate the different scales of manipulation progress, relative bimanual motion, and local hand pose. We propose DuetHOI, a structured framework for bimanual articulated-object interaction generation. DuetHOI first uses ContactVAE to predict contact intent on the object surface from language and object geometry. Conditioned on this spatial intent, ArtPlanner provides a trajectory-level articulation reference, and DualFormer generates the global interaction using object states, object-centered hand positions, and compact hand-pose tokens learned by ManiVAE. After global generation, ProxiRefine fixes the object trajectory and residually corrects the two hands using current hand--object proximity, improving local surface alignment. Experiments across articulated and rigid objects and single- and bimanual settings show that DuetHOI outperforms three adapted baselines on most contact and hand--object consistency metrics, with particularly strong results in bimanual articulated interaction generation.

AffordGrasp: Cross-Modal Diffusion for Affordance-Aware Grasp Synthesis

Generating human grasping poses that accurately reflect both object geometry and user-specified interaction semantics is essential for natural hand-object interactions in AR/VR and embodied AI. However, existing semantic grasping approaches struggle with the large modality gap between 3D object representations and textual instructions, and often lack explicit spatial or semantic constraints, leading to physically invalid or semantically inconsistent grasps. In this work, we present AffordGrasp, a diffusion-based framework that produces physically stable and semantically faithful human grasps with high precision. We first introduce a scalable annotation pipeline that automatically enriches hand-object interaction datasets with fine-grained structured language labels capturing interaction intent. Building upon these annotations, AffordGrasp integrates an affordance-aware latent representation of hand poses with a dual-conditioning diffusion process, enabling the model to jointly reason over object geometry, spatial affordances, and instruction semantics. A distribution adjustment module further enforces physical contact consistency and semantic alignment. We evaluate AffordGrasp across four instruction-augmented benchmarks derived from HO-3D, OakInk, GRAB, and AffordPose, and observe substantial improvements over state-of-the-art methods in grasp quality, semantic accuracy, and diversity.

TeamHOI: Learning a Unified Policy for Cooperative Human-Object Interactions with Any Team Size

Physics-based humanoid control has achieved remarkable progress in enabling realistic and high-performing single-agent behaviors, yet extending these capabilities to cooperative human-object interaction (HOI) remains challenging. We present TeamHOI, a framework that enables a single decentralized policy to handle cooperative HOIs across any number of cooperating agents. Each agent operates using local observations while attending to other teammates through a Transformer-based policy network with teammate tokens, allowing scalable coordination across variable team sizes. To enforce motion realism while addressing the scarcity of cooperative HOI data, we further introduce a masked Adversarial Motion Prior (AMP) strategy that uses single-human reference motions while masking object-interacting body parts during training. The masked regions are then guided through task rewards to produce diverse and physically plausible cooperative behaviors. We evaluate TeamHOI on a challenging cooperative carrying task involving two to eight humanoid agents and varied object geometries. Finally, to promote stable carrying, we design a team-size- and shape-agnostic formation reward. TeamHOI achieves high success rates and demonstrates coherent cooperation across diverse configurations with a single policy.

GenHOI: Towards Object-Consistent Hand-Object Interaction with Temporally Balanced and Spatially Selective Object Injection

Hand-Object Interaction (HOI) remains a core challenge in digital human video synthesis, where models must generate physically plausible contact and preserve object identity across frames. Although recent HOI reenactment approaches have achieved progress, they are typically trained and evaluated in-domain and fail to generalize to complex, in-the-wild scenarios. In contrast, all-in-one video editing models exhibit broader robustness but still struggle with HOI-specific issues such as inconsistent object appearance. In this paper, we present GenHOI, a lightweight augmentation to pretrained video generation models that injects reference-object information in a temporally balanced and spatially selective manner. For temporal balancing, we propose Head-Sliding RoPE, which assigns head-specific temporal offsets to reference tokens, distributing their influence evenly across frames and mitigating the temporal decay of 3D RoPE to improve long-range object consistency. For spatial selectivity, we design a two-level spatial attention gate that concentrates object-conditioned attention on HOI regions and adaptively scales its strength, preserving background realism while enhancing interaction fidelity. Extensive qualitative and quantitative evaluations on unseen, in-the-wild scenes demonstrate that GenHOI significantly outperforms state-of-the-art HOI reenactment and all-in-one video editing methods. ArtHOI: Articulated Human-Object Interaction Synthesis by 4D Reconstruction from Video Priors

Synthesizing physically plausible articulated human-object interactions (HOI) without 3D/4D supervision remains a fundamental challenge. While recent zero-shot approaches leverage video diffusion models to synthesize human-object interactions, they are largely confined to rigid-object manipulation and lack explicit 4D geometric reasoning. To bridge this gap, we formulate articulated HOI synthesis as a 4D reconstruction problem from monocular video priors: given only a video generated by a diffusion model, we reconstruct a full 4D articulated scene without any 3D supervision. This reconstruction-based approach treats the generated 2D video as supervision for an inverse rendering problem, recovering geometrically consistent and physically plausible 4D scenes that naturally respect contact, articulation, and temporal coherence. We introduce ArtHOI, the first zero-shot framework for articulated human-object interaction synthesis via 4D reconstruction from video priors. Our key designs are: 1) Flow-based part segmentation: leveraging optical flow as a geometric cue to disentangle dynamic from static regions in monocular video; 2) Decoupled reconstruction pipeline: joint optimization of human motion and object articulation is unstable under monocular ambiguity, so we first recover object articulation, then synthesize human motion conditioned on the reconstructed object states. ArtHOI bridges video-based generation and geometry-aware reconstruction, producing interactions that are both semantically aligned and physically grounded. Across diverse articulated scenes (e.g., opening fridges, cabinets, microwaves), ArtHOI significantly outperforms prior methods in contact accuracy, penetration reduction, and articulation fidelity, extending zero-shot interaction synthesis beyond rigid manipulation through reconstruction-informed synthesis.

Sketch2Colab: Sketch-Conditioned Multi-Human Animation via Controllable Flow Distillation

We present Sketch2Colab, which turns storyboard-style 2D sketches into coherent, object-aware 3D multi-human motion with fine-grained control over agents, joints, timing, and contacts. Diffusion-based motion generators offer strong realism but often rely on costly guidance for multi-entity control and degrade under strong conditioning. Sketch2Colab instead learns a sketch-conditioned diffusion prior and distills it into a rectified-flow student in latent space for fast, stable sampling. To make motion follow storyboards closely, we guide the student with differentiable objectives that enforce keyframes, paths, contacts, and physical consistency. Collaborative motion naturally involves discrete changes in interaction, such as converging, forming contact, cooperative transport, or disengaging, and a continuous flow alone struggles to sequence these shifts cleanly. We address this with a lightweight continuous-time Markov chain (CTMC) planner that tracks the active interaction regime and modulates the flow to produce clearer, synchronized coordination in human-object-human motion. Experiments on CORE4D and InterHuman show that Sketch2Colab outperforms baselines in constraint adherence and perceptual quality while sampling substantially faster than diffusion-only alternatives.

Generated Reality: Human-centric World Simulation using Interactive Video Generation with Hand and Camera Control

Extended reality (XR) demands generative models that respond to users' tracked real-world motion, yet current video world models accept only coarse control signals such as text or keyboard input, limiting their utility for embodied interaction. We introduce a human-centric video world model that is conditioned on both tracked head pose and joint-level hand poses. For this purpose, we evaluate existing diffusion transformer conditioning strategies and propose an effective mechanism for 3D head and hand control, enabling dexterous hand--object interactions. We train a bidirectional video diffusion model teacher using this strategy and distill it into a causal, interactive system that generates egocentric virtual environments. We evaluate this generated reality system with human subjects and demonstrate improved task performance as well as a significantly higher level of perceived amount of control over the performed actions compared with relevant baselines.

FlowHOI: Flow-based Semantics-Grounded Generation of Hand-Object Interactions for Dexterous Robot Manipulation

Recent vision-language-action (VLA) models can generate plausible end-effector motions, yet they often fail in long-horizon, contact-rich tasks because the underlying hand-object interaction (HOI) structure is not explicitly represented. An embodiment-agnostic interaction representation that captures this structure would make manipulation behaviors easier to validate and transfer across robots. We propose FlowHOI, a two-stage flow-matching framework that generates semantically grounded, temporally coherent HOI sequences, comprising hand poses, object poses, and hand-object contact states, conditioned on an egocentric observation, a language instruction, and a 3D Gaussian splatting (3DGS) scene reconstruction. We decouple geometry-centric grasping from semantics-centric manipulation, conditioning the latter on compact 3D scene tokens and employing a motion-text alignment loss to semantically ground the generated interactions in both the physical scene layout and the language instruction. To address the scarcity of high-fidelity HOI supervision, we introduce a reconstruction pipeline that recovers aligned hand-object trajectories and meshes from large-scale egocentric videos, yielding an HOI prior for robust generation. Across the GRAB and HOT3D benchmarks, FlowHOI achieves the highest action recognition accuracy and a 1.7×\times higher physics simulation success rate than the strongest diffusion-based baseline, while delivering a 40×\times inference speedup. We further demonstrate real-robot execution on four dexterous manipulation tasks, illustrating the feasibility of retargeting generated HOI representations to real-robot execution pipelines.

CustomX: Unified Character, Action, and Scene Customization in Video World Models

Recent advances in world models have greatly enhanced interactive environment simulation. Existing methods mainly fall into two categories: (1) static world generation models, which construct 3D environments without active agents, and (2) controllable-entity models, which allow a single entity to perform limited actions in an otherwise uncontrollable environment. In this work, we introduce CustomX, leveraging the realism and structural grounding of static world generation while extending controllable-entity models to support user-specified characters capable of performing open-ended actions. Users can provide a 3DGS scene and a character, then use natural language to direct the character to perform diverse behaviors, ranging from basic locomotion to object-centric interactions, while freely exploring the environment. CustomX synthesizes temporally coherent video clips that preserve visual fidelity with the provided scene and character, formulated as a conditional autoregressive video generation problem. Built upon a pre-trained video generator, our training strategy significantly enhances motion dynamics while maintaining generalization across actions and characters. Our evaluation covers a broad range of aspects, including visual quality, character consistency, action controllability, and long-horizon coherence.

Learning to Generate Human-Human-Object Interactions from Textual Descriptions

The way humans interact with each other, including interpersonal distances, spatial configuration, and motion, varies significantly across different situations. To enable machines to understand such complex, context-dependent behaviors, it is essential to model multiple people in relation to the surrounding scene context. In this paper, we present a novel research problem to model the correlations between two people engaged in a shared interaction involving an object. We refer to this formulation as Human-Human-Object Interactions (HHOIs). To overcome the lack of dedicated datasets for HHOIs, we present a newly captured HHOIs dataset and a method to synthesize HHOI data by leveraging image generative models. As an intermediary, we obtain individual human-object interaction (HOIs) and human-human interaction (HHIs) from the HHOIs, and with these data, we train an text-to-HOI and text-to-HHI model using score-based diffusion model. Finally, we present a unified generative framework that integrates the two individual model, capable of synthesizing complete HHOIs in a single advanced sampling process. Our method extends HHOI generation to multi-human settings, enabling interactions involving more than two individuals. Experimental results show that our method generates realistic HHOIs conditioned on textual descriptions, outperforming previous approaches that focus only on single-human HOIs. Furthermore, we introduce multi-human motion generation involving objects as an application of our framework.

Learning to Generate Rigid Body Interactions with Video Diffusion Models

Recent video generation models have achieved remarkable progress and are now deployed in film, social media production, and advertising. Beyond their creative potential, such models also hold promise as world simulators for robotics and embodied decision making. Despite strong advances, current approaches still struggle to generate physically plausible object interactions and lack object-level control mechanisms. To address these limitations, we introduce KineMask, an approach for video generation that enables realistic rigid body control, interactions, and effects. Given a single image and a specified object velocity, our method generates videos with inferred motions and future object interactions. We propose a two-stage training strategy that gradually removes future motion supervision via object masks. Using this strategy we train video diffusion models (VDMs) on synthetic scenes of simple interactions and demonstrate significant improvements and generalization to rigid body and hand-object interactions in real scenes. Furthermore, KineMask integrates low-level motion control with high-level textual conditioning via predicted scene descriptions, leading to support for synthesis of complex dynamical phenomena. Our experiments show that KineMask generalizes to different VDMs and achieves strong improvements over recent models of comparable size. Ablation studies further highlight the complementary roles of low- and high-level conditioning in VDMs.

ECHO: Ego-Centric modeling of Human-Object interactions

Modeling human-object interactions (HOI) from an egocentric perspective is a critical yet challenging task, particularly when relying on sparse signals from wearable devices like smart glasses and watches. We present ECHO, the first unified framework to jointly recover human pose, object motion, and contact dynamics solely from head and wrist tracking. To tackle the underconstrained nature of this problem, we introduce a novel tri-variate diffusion process with independent noise schedules that models the mutual dependencies between the human, object, and interaction modalities. This formulation allows ECHO to operate with flexible input configurations, making it robust to intermittent tracking and capable of leveraging partial observations. Crucially, it enables training on a combination of large-scale human motion datasets and smaller HOI collections, learning strong priors while capturing interaction nuances. Furthermore, we employ a smooth inpainting inference mechanism that enables the generation of temporally consistent interactions for arbitrarily long sequences. Extensive evaluations demonstrate that ECHO achieves state-of-the-art performance, significantly outperforming existing methods lacking such flexibility. HunyuanVideo-HOMA: Generic Human-Object Interaction in Multimodal Driven Human Animation

To address key limitations in human-object interaction (HOI) video generation -- specifically the reliance on curated motion data, limited generalization to novel objects/scenarios, and restricted accessibility -- we introduce HunyuanVideo-HOMA, a weakly conditioned multimodal-driven framework. HunyuanVideo-HOMA enhances controllability and reduces dependency on precise inputs through sparse, decoupled motion guidance. It encodes appearance and motion signals into the dual input space of a multimodal diffusion transformer (MMDiT), fusing them within a shared context space to synthesize temporally consistent and physically plausible interactions. To optimize training, we integrate a parameter-space HOI adapter initialized from pretrained MMDiT weights, preserving prior knowledge while enabling efficient adaptation, and a facial cross-attention adapter for anatomically accurate audio-driven lip synchronization. Extensive experiments confirm state-of-the-art performance in interaction naturalness and generalization under weak supervision. Finally, HunyuanVideo-HOMA demonstrates versatility in text-conditioned generation and interactive object manipulation, supported by a user-friendly demo interface. FunHOI: Annotation-Free 3D Hand-Object Interaction Generation via Functional Text Guidance

Hand-object interaction(HOI) is the fundamental link between human and environment, yet its dexterous and complex pose significantly challenges for gesture control. Despite significant advances in AI and robotics, enabling machines to understand and simulate hand-object interactions, capturing the semantics of functional grasping tasks remains a considerable challenge. While previous work can generate stable and correct 3D grasps, they are still far from achieving functional grasps due to unconsidered grasp semantics. To address this challenge, we propose an innovative two-stage framework, Functional Grasp Synthesis Net (FGS-Net), for generating 3D HOI driven by functional text. This framework consists of a text-guided 3D model generator, Functional Grasp Generator (FGG), and a pose optimization strategy, Functional Grasp Refiner (FGR). FGG generates 3D models of hands and objects based on text input, while FGR fine-tunes the poses using Object Pose Approximator and energy functions to ensure the relative position between the hand and object aligns with human intent and remains physically plausible. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our approach achieves precise and high-quality HOI generation without requiring additional 3D annotation data.
