Softmax-GS: Generalized Gaussians Learning When to Blend or Bound

3D Gaussian Splatting (3D GS) is widely adopted for novel view synthesis due to its high training and rendering efficiency. However, its efficiency relies on the key assumption that Gaussians do not overlap in the 3D space, which leads to noticeable artifacts and view inconsistencies. In addition, the inherently diffuse boundaries of Gaussians hinder accurate reconstruction of sharp object edges. We propose Softmax-GS, a unified solution that addresses both the view-inconsistency and the diffuse-boundary problem by enforcing a softmax-based competition in overlapping regions between two Gaussians. With learnable parameters controlling the strength of the competition, it enables a continuous spectrum from smooth color blending to crisp, well-defined boundaries. Our formulation explicitly preserves order invariance for any two overlapping Gaussians and ensures that the output transmittance remains unchanged irrespective of the extent of overlapping, preventing undesirable discontinuities in the rendered output. Ablation experiments on simple geometries demonstrate the effectiveness of each component of Softmax-GS, and evaluations on real-world benchmarks show that it achieves state-of-the-art performance, improving both reconstruction quality and parameter efficiency.

Difix3D-W: Distractor-Free Few-Shot 3D Gaussian Splatting in the Wild

We propose Difix3D-W, a 3D novel sparse-view synthesis framework for unconstrained real-world scenarios that contain distractors, occlusion, and appearance variation. Unlike existing methods that primarily perform novel-view synthesis from a sparse set of constrained images without transient elements or leverage unconstrained dense image collections in real-world scenarios, our method utilize sparse unconstrained images, showing high-quality 3D rendering results. To do this, we introduce reference-guided view refinement with a redesigned one-step diffusion model using a transient mask and a reference image to mitigate artifacts in rendered views, enhancing the 3D representation in the Gaussian field. Furthermore, we address sparse regions in the Gaussian field leveraging sparsity-aware Gaussian replication strategy to amplify Gaussians in the sparse regions and alleviate deficient camera viewpoint issues. Finally, we utilize LoRA and regularization to maintain 3D multi-view consistency. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method consistently outperforms existing methods. This advancement paves the way for realizing real-world scenarios without labor-intensive data acquisition.

3D-LENS: A 3D Lifting-based Elevated Novel-view Synthesis method for Single-View Aerial-Ground Re-Identification

Aerial-Ground Re-Identification (AG-ReID) is constrained by the viewpoint-domain gap, as drastic viewpoint disparities occlude or distort discriminative features, making cross-viewpoint image retrieval challenging. While existing methods rely on paired cross-view annotations, real-world deployments, such as wilderness search-and-rescue (SAR), often lack target-domain data, requiring retrieval from ground-level references alone. To our knowledge, we are the first to address this challenge by formalizing the Single-View AG-ReID (SV AG-ReID) setting, where models trained on a single real viewpoint must generalize to an unseen viewpoint. We propose 3D Lifting-based Elevated Novel-view Synthesis (3D-LENS), a unified framework combining geometrically-consistent novel view synthesis that leverages large-scale 3D mesh reconstruction, with a robust representation learning scheme to mitigate synthetic-to-real bias. Unlike 2D generative baselines that suffer from geometric inconsistencies or prior 3D methods that are restricted to class-specific templates, our approach ensures view-consistent synthesis across diverse categories without predefined templates that fail to capture fine-grained details, such as carried objects. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method achieves state-of-the-art performance on SV AG-ReID scenarios. Code and data will be released at https://github.com/TurtleSmoke/3D-LENS.

Semantic Foam: Unifying Spatial and Semantic Scene Decomposition

Modern scene reconstruction methods, such as 3D Gaussian Splatting, deliver photo-realistic novel view synthesis at real-time speeds, yet their adoption in interactive graphics applications has been limited. A major bottleneck is the difficulty of interacting with these representations compared to traditional, human-authored 3D assets. While previous research has attempted to impose semantic decomposition on these models, significant challenges remain regarding segmentation quality and consistency. To address this, we introduce Semantic Foam, extending the recently proposed Radiant Foam representations to semantic decomposition tasks. Our approach integrates the natural spatial volumetric decomposition of Radiant Foam's Voronoi mesh with an explicit semantic feature field parameterized at the cell level. This explicit structure enables direct spatial regularization, which prevents artifacts caused by occlusion or inconsistent supervision across views - common pitfalls for other point-based representations. Experimental results show that our method achieves comparable or superior object-level segmentation performance compared to state-of-the-art methods like Gaussian Grouping and SAGA.

Light 'em Up: Enabling Few-Shot Low-Light 3D Gaussian Splatting with Multi-Scale Explicit Retinex Illumination Decoupling

Full 360^\circ novel view synthesis under low-light conditions remains challenging. Insufficient illumination, noise amplification, and view-dependent photometric inconsistencies prevent existing methods from jointly preserving geometric consistency and photorealism. Unsupervised approaches often exhibit color drift under large viewpoint variations, while supervised low-light enhancement models, though effective for 2D tasks, struggle to generalize to new scenes and typically require retraining. To address this issue, we propose MERID-GS, a Multi-Scale Explicit Retinex Illumination-Decoupled Gaussian framework for low-light 360^\circ synthesis. Based on Retinex theory, the method explicitly separates illumination and reflectance, and suppresses noise propagation while enhancing dark-region structures via a learnable gain and Illumination-State-Guided Frequency Gating. Combined with lightweight Reflection Head and 3D Gaussian Splatting, MERID-GS adapts to new scenes with only a few shots and enables stable low-light novel view synthesis from sparse-view observations. In addition, we construct a low-light multi-view dataset covering full 360^\circ scenes for joint evaluation. Thorough experiments across multiple datasets in this area demonstrate that MERID-GS achieves SOTA performance, exhibiting superior cross-scene generalization and view consistency. PAGaS: Pixel-Aligned 1DoF Gaussian Splatting for Depth Refinement

Gaussian Splatting (GS) has emerged as an efficient approach for high-quality novel view synthesis. While early GS variants struggled to accurately model the scene's geometry, recent advancements constraining the Gaussians' spread and shapes, such as 2D Gaussian Splatting, have significantly improved geometric fidelity. In this paper, we present Pixel-Aligned 1DoF Gaussian Splatting (PAGaS) that adapts the GS representation from novel view synthesis to the multi-view stereo depth task. Our key contribution is modeling a pixel's depth using one-degree-of-freedom (1DoF) Gaussians that remain tightly constrained during optimization. Unlike existing approaches, our Gaussians' positions and sizes are restricted by the back-projected pixel volumes, leaving depth as the sole degree of freedom to optimize. PAGaS produces highly detailed depths, as illustrated in Figure 1. We quantitatively validate these improvements on top of reference geometric and learning-based multi-view stereo baselines on challenging 3D reconstruction benchmarks. VistaBot: View-Robust Robot Manipulation via Spatiotemporal-Aware View Synthesis

Recently, end-to-end robotic manipulation models have gained significant attention for their generalizability and scalability. However, they often suffer from limited robustness to camera viewpoint changes when training with a fixed camera. In this paper, we propose VistaBot, a novel framework that integrates feed-forward geometric models with video diffusion models to achieve view-robust closed-loop manipulation without requiring camera calibration at test time. Our approach consists of three key components: 4D geometry estimation, view synthesis latent extraction, and latent action learning. VistaBot is integrated into both action-chunking (ACT) and diffusion-based (π0π_0) policies and evaluated across simulation and real-world tasks. We further introduce the View Generalization Score (VGS) as a new metric for comprehensive evaluation of cross-view generalization. Results show that VistaBot improves VGS by 2.79×\times and 2.63×\times over ACT and π0π_0, respectively, while also achieving high-quality novel view synthesis. Our contributions include a geometry-aware synthesis model, a latent action planner, a new benchmark metric, and extensive validation across diverse environments. The code and models will be made publicly available.

Reshoot-Anything: A Self-Supervised Model for In-the-Wild Video Reshooting

Precise camera control for reshooting dynamic videos is bottlenecked by the severe scarcity of paired multi-view data for non-rigid scenes. We overcome this limitation with a highly scalable self-supervised framework capable of leveraging internet-scale monocular videos. Our core contribution is the generation of pseudo multi-view training triplets, consisting of a source video, a geometric anchor, and a target video. We achieve this by extracting distinct smooth random-walk crop trajectories from a single input video to serve as the source and target views. The anchor is synthetically generated by forward-warping the first frame of the source with a dense tracking field, which effectively simulates the distorted point-cloud inputs expected at inference. Because our independent cropping strategy introduces spatial misalignment and artificial occlusions, the model cannot simply copy information from the current source frame. Instead, it is forced to implicitly learn 4D spatiotemporal structures by actively routing and re-projecting missing high-fidelity textures across distinct times and viewpoints from the source video to reconstruct the target. At inference, our minimally adapted diffusion transformer utilizes a 4D point-cloud derived anchor to achieve state-of-the-art temporal consistency, robust camera control, and high-fidelity novel view synthesis on complex dynamic scenes.

Gaussians on a Diet: High-Quality Memory-Bounded 3D Gaussian Splatting Training

3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) has revolutionized novel view synthesis with high-quality rendering through continuous aggregations of millions of 3D Gaussian primitives. However, it suffers from a substantial memory footprint, particularly during training due to uncontrolled densification, posing a critical bottleneck for deployment on memory-constrained edge devices. While existing methods prune redundant Gaussians post-training, they fail to address the peak memory spikes caused by the abrupt growth of Gaussians early in the training process. To solve the training memory consumption problem, we propose a systematic memory-bounded training framework that dynamically optimizes Gaussians through iterative growth and pruning. In other words, the proposed framework alternates between incremental pruning of low-impact Gaussians and strategic growing of new primitives with an adaptive Gaussian compensation, maintaining a near-constant low memory usage while progressively refining rendering fidelity. We comprehensively evaluate the proposed training framework on various real-world datasets under strict memory constraints, showing significant improvements over existing state-of-the-art methods. Particularly, our proposed method practically enables memory-efficient 3DGS training on NVIDIA Jetson AGX Xavier, achieving similar visual quality with up to 80% lower peak training memory consumption than the original 3DGS.

BOOKAGENT: Orchestrating Safety-Aware Visual Narratives via Multi-Agent Cognitive Calibration

Recent advancements in Large Generative Models (LGMs) have revolutionized multi-modal generation. However, generating illustrated storybooks remains an open challenge, where prior works mainly decompose this task into separate stages, and thus, holistic multi-modal grounding remains limited. Besides, while safety alignment is studied for text- or image-only generation, existing works rarely integrate child-specific safety constraints into narrative planning and sequence-level multi-modal verification. To address these limitations, we propose BookAgent, a safety-aware multi-agent collaboration framework designed for high-quality, safety-aware visual narratives. Different from prior story visualization models that assume a fixed storyline sequence, BookAgent targets end-to-end storybook synthesis from a user draft by jointly planning, scripting, illustrating, and globally repairing inconsistencies. To ensure precise multi-modal grounding, BookAgent dynamically calibrates page-level alignment between textual scripts and visual layouts. Furthermore, BookAgent calibrates holistic consistency from the temporal dimension, by verifying-then-rectifying global inconsistencies in character identity and storytelling logic. Extensive experiments demonstrate that BookAgent significantly outperforms current methods in narrative coherence, visual consistency, and safety compliance, offering a robust paradigm for reliable agents in complex multi-modal creation. The implementation will be publicly released at https://github.com/bogao-code/BookAgent/tree/main.

GlobalSplat: Efficient Feed-Forward 3D Gaussian Splatting via Global Scene Tokens

The efficient spatial allocation of primitives serves as the foundation of 3D Gaussian Splatting, as it directly dictates the synergy between representation compactness, reconstruction speed, and rendering fidelity. Previous solutions, whether based on iterative optimization or feed-forward inference, suffer from significant trade-offs between these goals, mainly due to the reliance on local, heuristic-driven allocation strategies that lack global scene awareness. Specifically, current feed-forward methods are largely pixel-aligned or voxel-aligned. By unprojecting pixels into dense, view-aligned primitives, they bake redundancy into the 3D asset. As more input views are added, the representation size increases and global consistency becomes fragile. To this end, we introduce GlobalSplat, a framework built on the principle of align first, decode later. Our approach learns a compact, global, latent scene representation that encodes multi-view input and resolves cross-view correspondences before decoding any explicit 3D geometry. Crucially, this formulation enables compact, globally consistent reconstructions without relying on pretrained pixel-prediction backbones or reusing latent features from dense baselines. Utilizing a coarse-to-fine training curriculum that gradually increases decoded capacity, GlobalSplat natively prevents representation bloat. On RealEstate10K and ACID, our model achieves competitive novel-view synthesis performance while utilizing as few as 16K Gaussians, significantly less than required by dense pipelines, obtaining a light 4MB footprint. Further, GlobalSplat enables significantly faster inference than the baselines, operating under 78 milliseconds in a single forward pass. Hybrid Latents: Geometry-Appearance-Aware Surfel Splatting

We introduce a hybrid Gaussian-hash-grid radiance representation for reconstructing 2D Gaussian scene models from multi-view images. Similar to NeST splatting, our approach reduces the entanglement between geometry and appearance common in NeRF-based models, but adds per-Gaussian latent features alongside hash-grid features to bias the optimizer toward a separation of low- and high-frequency scene components. This explicit frequency-based decomposition reduces the tendency of high-frequency texture to compensate for geometric errors. Encouraging Gaussians with hard opacity falloffs further strengthens the separation between geometry and appearance, improving both geometry reconstruction and rendering efficiency. Finally, probabilistic pruning combined with a sparsity-inducing BCE opacity loss allows redundant Gaussians to be turned off, yielding a minimal set of Gaussians sufficient to represent the scene. Using both synthetic and real-world datasets, we compare against the state of the art in Gaussian-based novel-view synthesis and demonstrate superior reconstruction fidelity with an order of magnitude fewer primitives.

NG-GS: NeRF-Guided 3D Gaussian Splatting Segmentation

Recent advances in 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) have enabled highly efficient and photorealistic novel view synthesis. However, segmenting objects accurately in 3DGS remains challenging due to the discrete nature of Gaussian representations, which often leads to aliasing and artifacts at object boundaries. In this paper, we introduce NG-GS, a novel framework for high-quality object segmentation in 3DGS that explicitly addresses boundary discretization. Our approach begins by automatically identifying ambiguous Gaussians at object boundaries using mask variance analysis. We then apply radial basis function (RBF) interpolation to construct a spatially continuous feature field, enhanced by multi-resolution hash encoding for efficient multi-scale representation. A joint optimization strategy aligns 3DGS with a lightweight NeRF module through alignment and spatial continuity losses, ensuring smooth and consistent segmentation boundaries. Extensive experiments on NVOS, LERF-OVS, and ScanNet benchmarks demonstrate that our method achieves state-of-the-art performance, with significant gains in boundary mIoU. DF3DV-1K: A Large-Scale Dataset and Benchmark for Distractor-Free Novel View Synthesis

Advances in radiance fields have enabled photorealistic novel view synthesis. In several domains, large-scale real-world datasets have been developed to support comprehensive benchmarking and to facilitate progress beyond scene-specific reconstruction. However, for distractor-free radiance fields, a large-scale dataset with clean and cluttered images per scene remains lacking, limiting the development. To address this gap, we introduce DF3DV-1K, a large-scale real-world dataset comprising 1,048 scenes, each providing clean and cluttered image sets for benchmarking. In total, the dataset contains 89,924 images captured using consumer cameras to mimic casual capture, spanning 128 distractor types and 161 scene themes across indoor and outdoor environments. A curated subset of 41 scenes, DF3DV-41, is systematically designed to evaluate the robustness of distractor-free radiance field methods under challenging scenarios. Using DF3DV-1K, we benchmark nine recent distractor-free radiance field methods and 3D Gaussian Splatting, identifying the most robust methods and the most challenging scenarios. Beyond benchmarking, we demonstrate an application of DF3DV-1K by fine-tuning a diffusion-based 2D enhancer to improve radiance field methods, achieving average improvements of 0.96 dB PSNR and 0.057 LPIPS on the held-out set (e.g., DF3DV-41) and the On-the-go dataset. We hope DF3DV-1K facilitates the development of distractor-free vision and promotes progress beyond scene-specific approaches. FrameCrafter: Novel View Synthesis as Video Completion

We tackle the problem of sparse novel view synthesis (NVS) using video diffusion models; given KK (5\approx 5) multi-view images of a scene and their camera poses, we predict the view from a target camera pose. Many prior approaches leverage generative image priors encoded via diffusion models. However, models trained on single images lack multi-view knowledge. We instead argue that video models already contain implicit multi-view knowledge and so should be easier to adapt for NVS. Our key insight is to formulate sparse NVS as a low frame-rate video completion task. However, one challenge is that sparse NVS is defined over an unordered set of inputs, often too sparse to admit a meaningful order, so the models should be invariant\textit{invariant} to permutations of that input set. To this end, we present FrameCrafter, which adapts video models (naturally trained with coherent frame orderings) to permutation-invariant NVS through several architectural modifications, including per-frame latent encodings and removal of temporal positional embeddings. Our results suggest that video models can be easily trained to "forget" about time with minimal supervision, producing competitive performance on sparse-view NVS benchmarks. LSRM: High-Fidelity Object-Centric Reconstruction via Scaled Context Windows

We introduce the Large Sparse Reconstruction Model to study how scaling transformer context windows affects feed-forward 3D reconstruction. Although recent object-centric feed-forward methods produce robust, high-quality reconstructions, they still lag behind dense-view optimization in recovering fine-grained texture and appearance. We show that expanding the context window -- by substantially increasing the number of active object and image tokens -- narrows this gap and enables high-fidelity 3D object reconstruction and inverse rendering. To scale effectively, we adapt native sparse attention for 3D reconstruction with three key contributions: (1) an efficient coarse-to-fine pipeline that focuses computation on informative regions by predicting sparse high-resolution residuals; (2) a 3D-aware spatial routing mechanism that establishes accurate 2D-3D correspondences using explicit geometric distances rather than standard attention scores; and (3) a custom block-aware sequence-parallel strategy with an All-gather-KV protocol to balance dynamic, sparse workloads across GPUs. As a result, LSRM handles 20x more object tokens and >2x more image tokens than prior state-of-the-art (SOTA) methods. Extensive evaluations on standard novel-view synthesis benchmarks show substantial gains over the current SOTA, yielding >2.4dB higher PSNR and >40% lower LPIPS. Furthermore, when extending LSRM to inverse rendering, qualitative and quantitative evaluations on widely used benchmarks demonstrate consistent improvements in texture and geometry details, achieving an LPIPS that matches or exceeds that of SOTA dense-view optimization methods. Neural Harmonic Textures for High-Quality Primitive Based Neural Reconstruction

Primitive-based methods such as 3D Gaussian Splatting have recently become the state-of-the-art for novel-view synthesis and related reconstruction tasks. Compared to neural fields, these representations are more flexible, adaptive, and scale better to large scenes. However, the limited expressivity of individual primitives makes modeling high-frequency detail challenging. We introduce Neural Harmonic Textures, a neural representation approach that anchors latent feature vectors on a virtual scaffold surrounding each primitive. These features are interpolated within the primitive at ray intersection points. Inspired by Fourier analysis, we apply periodic activations to the interpolated features, turning alpha blending into a weighted sum of harmonic components. The resulting signal is then decoded in a single deferred pass using a small neural network, significantly reducing computational cost. Neural Harmonic Textures yield state-of-the-art results in real-time novel view synthesis while bridging the gap between primitive- and neural-field-based reconstruction. Our method integrates seamlessly into existing primitive-based pipelines such as 3DGUT, Triangle Splatting, and 2DGS. We further demonstrate its generality with applications to 2D image fitting and semantic reconstruction.

ViewSplat: View-Adaptive 3D Gaussian Splatting for Feed-Forward Synthesis

We present ViewSplat, a view-adaptive 3D Gaussian splatting network for novel view synthesis from unposed images. While recent feed-forward 3D Gaussian splatting has significantly accelerated 3D scene reconstruction by bypassing per-scene optimization, a fundamental fidelity gap remains. We attribute this gap to the limited capacity of single-step feed-forward networks to regress static Gaussian primitives that satisfy all viewpoints. To address this limitation, we shift the paradigm from static primitive regression to view-adaptive splatting. Instead of a rigid Gaussian representation, our pipeline learns a view-adaptive latent representation. Specifically, ViewSplat initially predicts base Gaussian primitives alongside the weights of scene-conditioned View MLPs. During rendering, these MLPs take target-view coordinates as input and predict view-dependent residual updates for each Gaussian attribute (i.e., 3D position, scale, rotation, opacity, and color). This mechanism, which we term view-adaptive splatting, allows each primitive to rectify initial estimation errors, effectively capturing high-fidelity appearances. Extensive experiments demonstrate that ViewSplat achieves state-of-the-art fidelity while maintaining fast inference and real-time rendering; our large backbone variant runs at 15 FPS during inference and 90 FPS during rendering. SpectralSplats: Robust Differentiable Tracking via Spectral Moment Supervision

3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) enables real-time, photorealistic novel view synthesis, making it a highly attractive representation for model-based video tracking. However, leveraging the differentiability of the 3DGS renderer "in the wild" remains notoriously fragile. A fundamental bottleneck lies in the compact, local support of the Gaussian primitives. Standard photometric objectives implicitly rely on spatial overlap; if severe camera misalignment places the rendered object outside the target's local footprint, gradients strictly vanish, leaving the optimizer stranded. We introduce SpectralSplats, a robust tracking framework that resolves this "vanishing gradient" problem by shifting the optimization objective from the spatial to the frequency domain. By supervising the rendered image via a set of global complex sinusoidal features (Spectral Moments), we construct a global basin of attraction, ensuring that a valid, directional gradient toward the target exists across the entire image domain, even when pixel overlap is completely nonexistent. To harness this global basin without introducing periodic local minima associated with high frequencies, we derive a principled Frequency Annealing schedule from first principles, gracefully transitioning the optimizer from global convexity to precise spatial alignment. We demonstrate that SpectralSplats acts as a seamless, drop-in replacement for spatial losses across diverse deformation parameterizations (from MLPs to sparse control points), successfully recovering complex deformations even from severely misaligned initializations where standard appearance-based tracking catastrophically fails.

F4Splat: Feed-Forward Predictive Densification for Feed-Forward 3D Gaussian Splatting

Feed-forward 3D Gaussian Splatting methods enable single-pass reconstruction and real-time rendering. However, they typically adopt rigid pixel-to-Gaussian or voxel-to-Gaussian pipelines that uniformly allocate Gaussians, leading to redundant Gaussians across views. Moreover, they lack an effective mechanism to control the total number of Gaussians while maintaining reconstruction fidelity. To address these limitations, we present F4Splat, which performs Feed-Forward predictive densification for Feed-Forward 3D Gaussian Splatting, introducing a densification-score-guided allocation strategy that adaptively distributes Gaussians according to spatial complexity and multi-view overlap. Our model predicts per-region densification scores to estimate the required Gaussian density and allows explicit control over the final Gaussian budget without retraining. This spatially adaptive allocation reduces redundancy in simple regions and minimizes duplicate Gaussians across overlapping views, producing compact yet high-quality 3D representations. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our model achieves superior novel-view synthesis performance compared to prior uncalibrated feed-forward methods, while using significantly fewer Gaussians.

Fourier Splatting: Generalized Fourier encoded primitives for scalable radiance fields

Novel view synthesis has recently been revolutionized by 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS), which enables real-time rendering through explicit primitive rasterization. However, existing methods tie visual fidelity strictly to the number of primitives: quality downscaling is achieved only through pruning primitives. We propose the first inherently scalable primitive for radiance field rendering. Fourier Splatting employs scalable primitives with arbitrary closed shapes obtained by parameterizing planar surfels with Fourier encoded descriptors. This formulation allows a single trained model to be rendered at varying levels of detail simply by truncating Fourier coefficients at runtime. To facilitate stable optimization, we employ a straight-through estimator for gradient extension beyond the primitive boundary, and introduce HYDRA, a densification strategy that decomposes complex primitives into simpler constituents within the MCMC framework. Our method achieves state-of-the-art rendering quality among planar-primitive frameworks and comparable perceptual metrics compared to leading volumetric representations on standard benchmarks, providing a versatile solution for bandwidth-constrained high-fidelity rendering.

GeoNVS: Geometry Grounded Video Diffusion for Novel View Synthesis

Novel view synthesis requires strong 3D geometric consistency and the ability to generate visually coherent images across diverse viewpoints. While recent camera-controlled video diffusion models show promising results, they often suffer from geometric distortions and limited camera controllability. To overcome these challenges, we introduce GeoNVS, a geometry-grounded novel-view synthesizer that enhances both geometric fidelity and camera controllability through explicit 3D geometric guidance. Our key innovation is the Gaussian Splat Feature Adapter (GS-Adapter), which lifts input-view diffusion features into 3D Gaussian representations, renders geometry-constrained novel-view features, and adaptively fuses them with diffusion features to correct geometrically inconsistent representations. Unlike prior methods that inject geometry at the input level, GS-Adapter operates in feature space, avoiding view-dependent color noise that degrades structural consistency. Its plug-and-play design enables zero-shot compatibility with diverse feed-forward geometry models without additional training, and can be adapted to other video diffusion backbones. Experiments across 9 scenes and 18 settings demonstrate state-of-the-art performance, achieving 11.3% and 14.9% improvements over SEVA and CameraCtrl, with up to 2x reduction in translation error and 7x in Chamfer Distance.

ReCoSplat: Online Feed-Forward Gaussian Splatting via Render-and-Compare

Online novel view synthesis requires a model to reconstruct a scene causally from a stream of observations while keeping it renderable at every moment. We present ReCoSplat, an online feed-forward Gaussian Splatting model supporting both posed and unposed inputs, with or without camera intrinsics. While assembling local Gaussians with camera poses scales better than canonical-space prediction, stable training requires ground-truth poses, creating a distribution mismatch when predicted poses are used at inference. To address this, we introduce a Render-and-Compare (ReCo) module. ReCo renders the accumulated scene from the viewpoint of the incoming observation, comparing the render with the observation to produce a stable conditioning signal that helps bridge the mismatch. To support long sequences, we propose a hybrid KV-cache compression strategy combining early-layer truncation with chunk-level selective retention, reducing the KV cache size by over 90% for 100 or more frames. ReCoSplat achieves state-of-the-art performance among online methods while processing 256-view streams at an average input throughput of 45.1 FPS, with an end-of-stream throughput of 41.1 FPS on an RTX 6000 Ada GPU. Not Your Typical Sycophant: The Elusive Nature of Sycophancy in Large Language Models

We propose a novel perspective for probing LLM sycophancy in a direct and neutral way, mitigating various forms of uncontrolled bias, noise, or manipulative language, deliberately injected to prompts in prior works. A key novelty of our approach is the use of an LLM-as-a-judge in a zero-sum betting game. Within this framework, sycophancy serves one individual (the user) while explicitly incurring cost on another. Comparing 11 leading models we find that while most models exhibit significant sycophantic tendencies in the common setting, in which sycophancy is self-serving to the user and incurs no cost on others, seven of the models exhibit ``moral remorse'', five of which significantly over-compensate for their sycophancy in case it explicitly harms a third party. We refer to this phenomenon as `anti-sycophancy' bias and discuss possible causes for this shift.

SplatReasoner: Enhancing Embodied Reasoning and Grounding by Novel View Synthesis

Vision-Language Models (VLMs) have demonstrated strong reasoning capabilities over images and videos, yet their application to embodied scene understanding often constrained by the fixed viewpoints stored in episodic RGB-D memories. These observations may fail to capture query-relevant evidence due to occlusions, object truncation, restricted fields of view, or suboptimal view composition. We present SplatReasoner, a framework that introduces novel view synthesis into the VLM reasoning process by leveraging 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS). Given a user query about a 3D scene, SplatReasoner retrieves relevant observations and synthesizes query-conditioned viewpoints that reveal the visual evidence needed to answer the query and ground the referred entities in 3D. Quantum Implicit Neural Representations for Novel View Synthesis

Quantum implicit neural representations have recently emerged as compact function approximators for continuous visual signals. In parallel, Neural Radiance Fields (NeRFs) have become a dominant framework for novel-view synthesis by recovering continuous volumetric scene representations from posed 2D images, but often require substantial model capacity and intensive optimisation. We introduce 3D Quantum Implicit Scene Representation (3D-QISR), the first hybrid quantum-classical radiance-field model for novel-view synthesis from 2D observations. 3D-QISR replaces the classical NeRF backbone with parameterised quantum circuits that encode spatial and view-dependent information through quantum state transformations, enabling compact quantum-enhanced implicit representations while preserving compatibility with standard volumetric rendering. We propose two architectures: Full 3D-QISR, which maximises the representational role of a unified quantum state, and Dual-Branch 3D-QISR, which separates spatial and view-dependent quantum embeddings to introduce a task-aligned inductive bias, reduce state-preparation complexity, and improve scalability and hardware compatibility. Experiments on moderate-resolution novel-view synthesis benchmarks show that 3D-QISR executed on simulated quantum hardware matches or outperforms classical baselines while using fewer than half the trainable parameters. These results position quantum neural networks as compact and competitive building blocks for continuous volumetric scene representation, opening a new direction for quantum-enhanced implicit neural rendering.

G3Splat: Geometrically Consistent Generalizable Gaussian Splatting

3D Gaussians have become a powerful scene representation for real-time splatting and high-quality novel-view synthesis. This has motivated generalizable splatting -- methods that adapt feed-forward geometry prediction networks to produce per-pixel Gaussians from a set of images. However, most generalizable splatting pipelines are supervised primarily through a view-synthesis loss to predict Gaussian orientation, anisotropic scale, opacity, and appearance in addition to their locations. We show that this learning objective is under-constrained. Models trained with view synthesis alone produce splats whose orientations and scales have no geometric connotation. The result is that, while producing decent view-synthesis performance, nearly all generalizable splatting methods produce geometrically inaccurate and misaligned Gaussians. We introduce G3Splat, a geometry-consistent generalizable splatting framework that addresses these degeneracies through differentiable geometric priors on the predicted 3D Gaussians, making the learning problem well-posed. These priors encourage the per-pixel splats to remain on their viewing rays and to orient themselves in accordance with local surfaces. Our priors are architecture-agnostic and can be incorporated into any previously studied geometric backbone for generalizable splatting, as well as different scene representations. We test G3Splat with both DUSt3R-style and VGGT-style backbones to predict pixel-aligned full-rank 3DGS as well as surfel-like 2DGS. Trained on RE10K, G3Splat produces Gaussian splats with significantly higher geometric fidelity than baselines, providing state-of-the-art novel-view depth, mesh reconstruction, and relative pose estimation performance while preserving novel-view synthesis quality, as evaluated on datasets such as ACID and ScanNet. Code and pretrained models are released on our project page.

HybridWorldSim: A Scalable and Controllable High-fidelity Simulator for Autonomous Driving

Realistic and controllable simulation is critical for advancing end-to-end autonomous driving, yet existing approaches often struggle to support novel view synthesis under large viewpoint changes or to ensure geometric consistency. We introduce HybridWorldSim, a hybrid simulation framework that integrates multi-traversal neural reconstruction for static backgrounds with generative modeling for dynamic agents. This unified design addresses key limitations of previous methods, enabling the creation of diverse and high-fidelity driving scenarios with reliable visual and spatial consistency. To facilitate robust benchmarking, we further release a new multi-traversal dataset MIRROR that captures a wide range of routes and environmental conditions across different cities. Extensive experiments demonstrate that HybridWorldSim surpasses previous state-of-the-art methods, providing a practical and scalable solution for high-fidelity simulation and a valuable resource for research and development in autonomous driving.

WorldWander: Bridging Egocentric and Exocentric Worlds in Video Generation

Recent advances in video world models enable interactive environments with free navigation, making translation between first-person (egocentric) and third-person (exocentric) perspectives increasingly important. However, existing studies focus on unidirectional exocentric-to-egocentric translation, overlooking reference-guided exocentric perspective synthesis. This capability is crucial for gaming and embodied AI applications. Motivated by this, we present WorldWander, an in-context learning framework tailored for translating between egocentric and exocentric worlds in video generation. Building upon advanced video diffusion transformers, WorldWander integrates (i) In-Context Perspective Alignment and (ii) Collaborative Position Encoding to model cross-view synchronization and character consistency. To support our task, we curate EgoExo-8K, a dynamic and scene-rich dataset containing synchronized egocentric-exocentric triplets from both synthetic and real-world scenarios. Experiments demonstrate that WorldWander achieves superior perspective synchronization, character consistency, and generalization, setting a new benchmark for egocentric-exocentric video translation.

Do Flat Minima Improve Sparse Novel View Synthesis?

Despite the success of recent novel view synthesis methods, they tend to struggle in sparse-view settings. This poor generalization to unseen viewpoints is an inherent challenge when training with limited data. To address this, we investigate the relationship between loss sharpness and generalization in novel view synthesis-an underexplored direction. Interestingly, while pursuing flatter minima is widely known to improve generalization in deep learning, reducing loss sharpness is not always beneficial in novel view synthesis. We demonstrate that this difference arises because high-detail regions inherently require a sharp loss landscape for accurate reconstruction, whereas low-detail regions benefit from a flat loss landscape for improving generalization. Based on this insight, we introduce structure-aware sharpness, defined within structure-adaptive neighborhoods, and propose to adaptively adjust the sharpness regularization weight according to the local image structure. This strategy encourages flatter minima for generalization while preserving the loss sharpness necessary to reconstruct fine details. Across various datasets and configurations, our strategy consistently improves a wide range of baselines. Code is available at https://bbangsik13.github.io/FASR.

Complex-Valued 2D Gaussian Representation for Computer-Generated Holography

Complex-valued Gaussian primitives have recently been explored for representing holographic radiance fields in 3D novel view synthesis. In this work, we extend this line of research to the hologram optimization domain and propose a structured representation based on complex-valued 2D Gaussian primitives. Inspired by Gabor's theory, we show that our primitive attains the minimum space-frequency uncertainty and reduces the parameter search space by 5:1 compared to per-pixel parameterization. To enable end-to-end training, we develop a differentiable rasterizer for our representation, integrated with a GPU-optimized light propagation kernel in free space. Extensive experiments show that our method reduces VRAM usage by up to 30% and accelerates optimization by 50% over standard autodiff-based implementations, delivers up to 13 dB higher PSNR than prior Gaussian-based methods, and achieves up to 3200x faster rendering while maintaining reconstruction quality on par with existing CGH approaches. For evaluation, we introduce a conversion procedure that adapts our representation to practical hologram formats, including smooth and random phase-only holograms. By reducing the hologram parameter search space, our representation enables a more scalable hologram estimation in the next-generation computer-generated holography systems.

VolSplat: Rethinking Feed-Forward 3D Gaussian Splatting with Voxel-Aligned Prediction

Feed-forward 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) has emerged as a highly effective solution for novel view synthesis. Existing methods predominantly rely on a \emph{pixel-aligned} Gaussian prediction paradigm, where each 2D pixel is mapped to a 3D Gaussian. We rethink this widely adopted formulation and identify several inherent limitations: it renders the reconstructed 3D models heavily dependent on the number of input views, leads to view-biased density distributions, and introduces alignment errors, particularly when source views contain occlusions or low texture. To address these challenges, we introduce VolSplat, a new multi-view feed-forward paradigm that replaces pixel alignment with voxel-aligned Gaussians. By directly predicting Gaussians from a predicted 3D voxel grid, it overcomes pixel alignment's reliance on error-prone 2D feature matching, ensuring robust multi-view consistency. Furthermore, it enables adaptive control over density based on 3D scene complexity, yielding more faithful Gaussians, improved geometric consistency, and enhanced novel-view rendering quality. Experiments on widely used benchmarks demonstrate that VolSplat achieves state-of-the-art performance, while producing more plausible and view-consistent results. N2M: Bridging Navigation and Manipulation by Learning Pose Preference from Rollout

Determining where to execute the manipulation policy is a fundamental challenge in mobile manipulation. Most approaches have formulated this as a geometric search problem, prioritizing physical reachability. However, given the high sensitivity of modern learning-based manipulation policies, geometric criteria alone are insufficient. Optimal performance requires base positioning that is aware of the policy's preference. While recent works have attempted to address this, they remain limited in practicality due to reliance on pre-built scene reconstruction and slow inference. In this work, we introduce N2M that systematically reformulates the approach to base positioning problem, naturally overcoming limitations of previous methods. Our key insight is that policy preferences are inherent to the local scene structure and can be effectively learned from the policy rollouts. Technically, we propose a novel viewpoint augmentation strategy that enables the model to learn robust, viewpoint-invariant pose preferences with remarkable data efficiency. Extensive experiments demonstrate that N2M achieves state-of-the-art performance, outperforming both non-policy-aware baselines and recent policy-aware alternatives. Furthermore, we provide a comprehensive analysis highlighting N2M's broad applicability, generalization capabilities, and data efficiency. Project website: https://clvrai.github.io/N2M/

Camera Splatting for Continuous View Optimization

We propose Camera Splatting, a novel view optimization framework for novel view synthesis. Each camera is modeled as a 3D Gaussian, referred to as a camera splat, and virtual cameras, termed point cameras, are placed at 3D points sampled near the surface to observe the distribution of camera splats. View optimization is achieved by continuously and differentiably refining the camera splats so that desirable target distributions are observed from the point cameras, in a manner similar to the original 3D Gaussian splatting. Compared to the Farthest View Sampling (FVS) approach, our optimized views demonstrate superior performance in capturing complex view-dependent phenomena, including intense metallic reflections and intricate textures such as text.

MVGS: Multi-view Regulated Gaussian Splatting for Novel View Synthesis

Recent works in volume rendering, \textit{e.g.} NeRF and 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS), significantly advance the rendering quality and efficiency with the help of the learned implicit neural radiance field or 3D Gaussians. Rendering on top of an explicit representation, the vanilla 3DGS and its variants deliver real-time efficiency by optimizing the parametric model with single-view supervision per iteration during training which is adopted from NeRF. Consequently, certain views are overfitted, leading to unsatisfying appearance in novel-view synthesis and imprecise 3D geometries. To solve aforementioned problems, we propose a new 3DGS optimization method embodying four key novel contributions: 1) We transform the conventional single-view training paradigm into a multi-view training strategy. With our proposed multi-view regulation, 3D Gaussian attributes are further optimized without overfitting certain training views. As a general solution, we improve the overall accuracy in a variety of scenarios and different Gaussian variants. 2) Inspired by the benefit introduced by additional views, we further propose a cross-intrinsic guidance scheme, leading to a coarse-to-fine training procedure concerning different resolutions. 3) Built on top of our multi-view regulated training, we further propose a cross-ray densification strategy, densifying more Gaussian kernels in the ray-intersect regions from a selection of views. 4) By further investigating the densification strategy, we found that the effect of densification should be enhanced when certain views are distinct dramatically. As a solution, we propose a novel multi-view augmented densification strategy, where 3D Gaussians are encouraged to get densified to a sufficient number accordingly, resulting in improved reconstruction accuracy.

2DGH: 2D Gaussian-Hermite Splatting for High-quality Rendering and Better Geometry Features

2D Gaussian Splatting has recently emerged as a significant method in 3D reconstruction, enabling novel view synthesis and geometry reconstruction simultaneously. While the well-known Gaussian kernel is broadly used, its lack of anisotropy and deformation ability leads to dim and vague edges at object silhouettes, limiting the reconstruction quality of current Gaussian splatting methods. To enhance the representation power, we draw inspiration from quantum physics and propose to use the Gaussian-Hermite kernel as the new primitive in Gaussian splatting. The new kernel takes a unified mathematical form and extends the Gaussian function, which serves as the zero-rank special case in the updated general formulation. Our experiments demonstrate that the proposed Gaussian-Hermite kernel achieves improved performance over traditional Gaussian Splatting kernels on both geometry reconstruction and novel-view synthesis tasks. Specifically, on the DTU dataset, our method yields more accurate geometry reconstruction, while on datasets such as MipNeRF360 and our customized Detail dataset, it achieves better results in novel-view synthesis. These results highlight the potential of the Gaussian-Hermite kernel for high-quality 3D reconstruction and rendering.

MoDGS: Dynamic Gaussian Splatting from Casually-captured Monocular Videos with Depth Priors

In this paper, we propose MoDGS, a new pipeline to render novel views of dy namic scenes from a casually captured monocular video. Previous monocular dynamic NeRF or Gaussian Splatting methods strongly rely on the rapid move ment of input cameras to construct multiview consistency but struggle to recon struct dynamic scenes on casually captured input videos whose cameras are either static or move slowly. To address this challenging task, MoDGS adopts recent single-view depth estimation methods to guide the learning of the dynamic scene. Then, a novel 3D-aware initialization method is proposed to learn a reasonable deformation field and a new robust depth loss is proposed to guide the learning of dynamic scene geometry. Comprehensive experiments demonstrate that MoDGS is able to render high-quality novel view images of dynamic scenes from just a casually captured monocular video, which outperforms state-of-the-art meth ods by a significant margin. The code is publicly available now.

SparseGS: Sparse View Synthesis using 3D Gaussian Splatting

3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) has recently enabled real-time rendering of unbounded 3D scenes for novel view synthesis. However, this technique requires dense training views to accurately reconstruct 3D geometry. A limited number of input views will significantly degrade reconstruction quality, resulting in artifacts such as "floaters" and "background collapse" at unseen viewpoints. In this work, we introduce SparseGS, an efficient training pipeline designed to address the limitations of 3DGS in scenarios with sparse training views. SparseGS incorporates depth priors, novel depth rendering techniques, and a pruning heuristic to mitigate floater artifacts, alongside an Unseen Viewpoint Regularization module to alleviate background collapses. Our extensive evaluations on the Mip-NeRF360, LLFF, and DTU datasets demonstrate that SparseGS achieves high-quality reconstruction in both unbounded and forward-facing scenarios, with as few as 12 and 3 input images, respectively, while maintaining fast training and real-time rendering capabilities.

InstantHDR: Single-forward Gaussian Splatting Initialization for HDR 3D Reconstruction

High dynamic range (HDR) novel view synthesis (NVS) aims to reconstruct HDR scenes from multi-exposure low dynamic range (LDR) images. Existing HDR pipelines heavily rely on known camera poses, well-initialized dense point clouds, and time-consuming per-scene optimization. Current feed-forward alternatives overlook the HDR problem by assuming exposure-invariant appearance. To bridge this gap, we propose InstantHDR, a feed-forward network that initializes 3D HDR scenes from uncalibrated multi-exposure LDR collections in a fast single forward pass. Specifically, we design a geometry-guided appearance modeling for multi-exposure fusion, and a meta-network for generalizable scene-specific tone mapping. Due to the lack of HDR scene data, we build a pre-training dataset, called HDR-Pretrain, for generalizable feed-forward HDR models, featuring 168 Blender-rendered scenes, diverse lighting types, and multiple camera response functions. Comprehensive experiments show that our InstantHDR delivers a single-forward HDR initialization at approximately 700 times the speed of SoTA optimization-based methods, and reaches comparable quality in real settings after lightweight post-optimization while remaining approximately 20 times faster. AnyView: Synthesizing Any Novel View in Dynamic Scenes

Modern generative video models excel at producing convincing, high-quality outputs, but struggle to maintain multi-view and spatiotemporal consistency in highly dynamic real-world environments. In this work, we introduce AnyView\textbf{AnyView}, a diffusion-based video generation framework for dynamic view synthesis\textit{dynamic view synthesis} with minimal inductive biases or geometric assumptions. We leverage multiple data sources with various levels of supervision, including monocular (2D), multi-view static (3D) and multi-view dynamic (4D) datasets, to train a generalist spatiotemporal implicit representation capable of producing zero-shot novel videos from arbitrary camera locations and trajectories. We evaluate AnyView on standard benchmarks, showing competitive results with the current state of the art, and propose AnyViewBench\textbf{AnyViewBench}, a challenging new benchmark tailored towards extreme\textit{extreme} dynamic view synthesis in diverse real-world scenarios. In this more dramatic setting, we find that most baselines drastically degrade in performance, as they require significant overlap between viewpoints, while AnyView maintains the ability to produce realistic, plausible, and spatiotemporally consistent videos when prompted from any\textit{any} viewpoint.
