Neural Gabor Splatting: Enhanced Gaussian Splatting with Neural Gabor for High-frequency Surface Reconstruction

Recent years have witnessed the rapid emergence of 3D Gaussian splatting (3DGS) as a powerful approach for 3D reconstruction and novel view synthesis. Its explicit representation with Gaussian primitives enables fast training, real-time rendering, and convenient post-processing such as editing and surface reconstruction. However, 3DGS suffers from a critical drawback: the number of primitives grows drastically for scenes with high-frequency appearance details, since each primitive can represent only a single color, requiring multiple primitives for every sharp color transition. To overcome this limitation, we propose neural Gabor splatting, which augments each Gaussian primitive with a lightweight multi-layer perceptron that models a wide range of color variations within a single primitive. To further control primitive numbers, we introduce a frequency-aware densification strategy that selects mismatch primitives for pruning and cloning based on frequency energy. Our method achieves accurate reconstruction of challenging high-frequency surfaces. We demonstrate its effectiveness through extensive experiments on both standard benchmarks, such as Mip-NeRF360 and High-Frequency datasets (e.g., checkered patterns), supported by comprehensive ablation studies.

CLOTH-HUGS: Cloth Aware Human Gaussian Splatting

We present Cloth-HUGS, a Gaussian Splatting based neural rendering framework for photorealistic clothed human reconstruction that explicitly disentangles body and clothing. Unlike prior methods that absorb clothing into a single body representation and struggle with loose garments and complex deformations, Cloth-HUGS represents the performer using separate Gaussian layers for body and cloth within a shared canonical space. The canonical volume jointly encodes body, cloth, and scene primitives and is deformed through SMPL-driven articulation with learned linear blend skinning weights. To improve cloth realism, we initialize cloth Gaussians from mesh topology and apply physics-inspired constraints, including simulation-consistency, ARAP regularization, and mask supervision. We further introduce a depth-aware multi-pass rendering strategy for robust body-cloth-scene compositing, enabling real-time rendering at over 60 FPS. Experiments on multiple benchmarks show that Cloth-HUGS improves perceptual quality and geometric fidelity over state-of-the-art baselines, reducing LPIPS by up to 28% while producing temporally coherent cloth dynamics.

PoInit-of-View: Poisoning Initialization of Views Transfers Across Multiple 3D Reconstruction Systems

Poisoning input views of 3D reconstruction systems has been recently studied. However, we identify that existing studies simply backpropagate adversarial gradients through the 3D reconstruction pipeline as a whole, without uncovering the new vulnerability rooted in specific modules of the 3D reconstruction pipeline. In this paper, we argue that the structure-from-motion (SfM) initialization, as the geometric core of many widely used reconstruction systems, can be targeted to achieve transferable poisoning effects across diverse 3D reconstruction systems. To this end, we propose PoInit-of-View, which optimizes adversarial perturbations to intentionally introduce cross-view gradient inconsistencies at projections of corresponding 3D points. These inconsistencies disrupt keypoint detection and feature matching, thereby corrupting pose estimation and triangulation within SfM, eventually resulting in low-quality rendered views. We also provide a theoretical analysis that connects cross-view inconsistency to correspondence collapse. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of our PoInit-of-View on diverse 3D reconstruction systems and datasets, surpassing the single-view baseline by 25.1% in PSNR and 16.5% in SSIM in black-box transfer settings, such as 3DGS to NeRF.

StreamCacheVGGT: Streaming Visual Geometry Transformers with Robust Scoring and Hybrid Cache Compression

Reconstructing dense 3D geometry from continuous video streams requires stable inference under a constant memory budget. Existing O(1)O(1) frameworks primarily rely on a ``pure eviction'' paradigm, which suffers from significant information destruction due to binary token deletion and evaluation noise from localized, single-layer scoring. To address these bottlenecks, we propose StreamCacheVGGT, a training-free framework that reimagines cache management through two synergistic modules: Cross-Layer Consistency-Enhanced Scoring (CLCES) and Hybrid Cache Compression (HCC). CLCES mitigates activation noise by tracking token importance trajectories across the Transformer hierarchy, employing order-statistical analysis to identify sustained geometric salience. Leveraging these robust scores, HCC transcends simple eviction by introducing a three-tier triage strategy that merges moderately important tokens into retained anchors via nearest-neighbor assignment on the key-vector manifold. This approach preserves essential geometric context that would otherwise be lost. Extensive evaluations on five benchmarks (7-Scenes, NRGBD, ETH3D, Bonn, and KITTI) demonstrate that StreamCacheVGGT sets a new state-of-the-art, delivering superior reconstruction accuracy and long-term stability while strictly adhering to constant-cost constraints.

LingBot-Map: Geometric Context Transformer for Streaming 3D Reconstruction

Streaming 3D reconstruction aims to recover 3D information, such as camera poses and point clouds, from a video stream, which necessitates geometric accuracy, temporal consistency, and computational efficiency. Motivated by the principles of Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM), we introduce LingBot-Map, a feed-forward 3D foundation model for reconstructing scenes from streaming data, built upon a geometric context transformer (GCT) architecture. A defining aspect of LingBot-Map lies in its carefully designed attention mechanism, which integrates an anchor context, a pose-reference window, and a trajectory memory to address coordinate grounding, dense geometric cues, and long-range drift correction, respectively. This design keeps the streaming state compact while retaining rich geometric context, enabling stable efficient inference at around 20 FPS on 518 x 378 resolution inputs over long sequences exceeding 10,000 frames. Extensive evaluations across a variety of benchmarks demonstrate that our approach achieves superior performance compared to both existing streaming and iterative optimization-based approaches.

Physically Grounded 3D Generative Reconstruction under Hand Occlusion using Proprioception and Multi-Contact Touch

We propose a multimodal, physically grounded approach for metric-scale amodal object reconstruction and pose estimation under severe hand occlusion. Unlike prior occlusion-aware 3D generation methods that rely only on vision, we leverage physical interaction signals: proprioception provides the posed hand geometry, and multi-contact touch constrains where the object surface must lie, reducing ambiguity in occluded regions. We represent object structure as a pose-aware, camera-aligned signed distance field (SDF) and learn a compact latent space with a Structure-VAE. In this latent space, we train a conditional flow-matching diffusion model, pretraining on vision-only images and finetuning on occluded manipulation scenes while conditioning on visible RGB evidence, occluder/visibility masks, the hand latent representation, and tactile information. Crucially, we incorporate physics-based objectives and differentiable decoder-guidance during finetuning and inference to reduce hand--object interpenetration and to align the reconstructed surface with contact observations. Because our method produces a metric, physically consistent structure estimate, it integrates naturally into existing two-stage reconstruction pipelines, where a downstream module refines geometry and predicts appearance. Experiments in simulation show that adding proprioception and touch substantially improves completion under occlusion and yields physically plausible reconstructions at correct real-world scale compared to vision-only baselines; we further validate transfer by deploying the model on a real humanoid robot with an end-effector different from those used during training.

Stitch4D: Sparse Multi-Location 4D Urban Reconstruction via Spatio-Temporal Interpolation

Dynamic urban environments are often captured by cameras placed at spatially separated locations with little or no view overlap. However, most existing 4D reconstruction methods assume densely overlapping views and struggle under sparse multi-location observations, producing unstable reconstructions in unobserved intermediate regions. To address this practical yet underexplored setting, we propose Stitch4D, a unified 4D reconstruction framework that compensates for missing spatial coverage in sparsely observed urban environments. Stitch4D synthesizes intermediate bridge views between distant camera locations and jointly optimizes real and synthesized observations in a unified coordinate frame with inter-location consistency constraints. By recovering intermediate spatial coverage before optimization, Stitch4D mitigates geometric collapse and improves reconstruction stability in sparse regions. To evaluate this setting, we introduce Urban Sparse 4D (U-S4D), a controlled CARLA-based benchmark for free-viewpoint reconstruction under sparse multi-location configurations. Experiments on U-S4D show that Stitch4D consistently outperforms representative 4D reconstruction baselines in image-quality metrics. These results suggest that recovering intermediate spatial coverage is an effective strategy for stabilizing 4D reconstruction in sparse urban environments. LSRM: High-Fidelity Object-Centric Reconstruction via Scaled Context Windows

We introduce the Large Sparse Reconstruction Model to study how scaling transformer context windows affects feed-forward 3D reconstruction. Although recent object-centric feed-forward methods produce robust, high-quality reconstructions, they still lag behind dense-view optimization in recovering fine-grained texture and appearance. We show that expanding the context window -- by substantially increasing the number of active object and image tokens -- narrows this gap and enables high-fidelity 3D object reconstruction and inverse rendering. To scale effectively, we adapt native sparse attention for 3D reconstruction with three key contributions: (1) an efficient coarse-to-fine pipeline that focuses computation on informative regions by predicting sparse high-resolution residuals; (2) a 3D-aware spatial routing mechanism that establishes accurate 2D-3D correspondences using explicit geometric distances rather than standard attention scores; and (3) a custom block-aware sequence-parallel strategy with an All-gather-KV protocol to balance dynamic, sparse workloads across GPUs. As a result, LSRM handles 20x more object tokens and >2x more image tokens than prior state-of-the-art (SOTA) methods. Extensive evaluations on standard novel-view synthesis benchmarks show substantial gains over the current SOTA, yielding >2.4dB higher PSNR and >40% lower LPIPS. Furthermore, when extending LSRM to inverse rendering, qualitative and quantitative evaluations on widely used benchmarks demonstrate consistent improvements in texture and geometry details, achieving an LPIPS that matches or exceeds that of SOTA dense-view optimization methods. Code and model weights are available on our project page.

Neural Harmonic Textures for High-Quality Primitive Based Neural Reconstruction

Primitive-based methods such as 3D Gaussian Splatting have recently become the state-of-the-art for novel-view synthesis and related reconstruction tasks. Compared to neural fields, these representations are more flexible, adaptive, and scale better to large scenes. However, the limited expressivity of individual primitives makes modeling high-frequency detail challenging. We introduce Neural Harmonic Textures, a neural representation approach that anchors latent feature vectors on a virtual scaffold surrounding each primitive. These features are interpolated within the primitive at ray intersection points. Inspired by Fourier analysis, we apply periodic activations to the interpolated features, turning alpha blending into a weighted sum of harmonic components. The resulting signal is then decoded in a single deferred pass using a small neural network, significantly reducing computational cost. Neural Harmonic Textures yield state-of-the-art results in real-time novel view synthesis while bridging the gap between primitive- and neural-field-based reconstruction. Our method integrates seamlessly into existing primitive-based pipelines such as 3DGUT, Triangle Splatting, and 2DGS. We further demonstrate its generality with applications to 2D image fitting and semantic reconstruction.

Fisheye3R: Adapting Unified 3D Feed-Forward Foundation Models to Fisheye Lenses

Feed-forward foundation models for multi-view 3-dimensional (3D) reconstruction have been trained on large-scale datasets of perspective images; when tested on wide field-of-view images, e.g., from a fisheye camera, their performance degrades. This degradation arises from changes in spatial arrangements of pixels induced by the non-linear projection model that maps 3D points onto the 2D image plane. While one may surmise that training on fisheye images would resolve this problem, there are far fewer fisheye images with ground truth than perspective images, which limits generalization. To enable inference on imagery exhibiting high radial distortion, we propose \textit{Fisheye3R}, a novel adaptation framework that extends these multi-view 3D reconstruction foundation models to natively accommodate fisheye inputs without performance regression on perspective images. To address the scarcity of fisheye images and ground truth, we introduce flexible learning schemes that support self-supervised adaptation using only unlabeled perspective images and supervised adaptation without any fisheye training data. Extensive experiments across three foundation models, including VGGT, π3π^3, and MapAnything, demonstrate that our approach consistently improves camera pose, depth, point map, and field-of-view estimation on fisheye images. Code is available at https://github.com/android-xr/fisheye3r.

To View Transform or Not to View Transform: NeRF-based Pre-training Perspective

Neural radiance fields (NeRFs) have emerged as a prominent pre-training paradigm for vision-centric autonomous driving, which enhances 3D geometry and appearance understanding in a fully self-supervised manner. To apply NeRF-based pretraining to 3D perception models, recent approaches have simply applied NeRFs to volumetric features obtained from view transformation. However, coupling NeRFs with view transformation inherits conflicting priors; view transformation imposes discrete and rigid representations, whereas radiance fields assume continuous and adaptive functions. When these opposing assumptions are forced into a single pipeline, the misalignment surfaces as blurry and ambiguous 3D representations that ultimately limit 3D scene understanding. Moreover, the NeRF network for pre-training is discarded during downstream tasks, resulting in inefficient utilization of enhanced 3D representations through NeRF. In this paper, we propose a novel NeRF-Resembled Point-based 3D detector that can learn continuous 3D representation and thus avoid the misaligned priors from view transformation. NeRP3D preserves the pre-trained NeRF network regardless of the tasks, inheriting the principle of continuous 3D representation learning and leading to greater potentials for both scene reconstruction and detection tasks. Experiments on nuScenes dataset demonstrate that our proposed approach significantly improves previous state-of-the-art methods, outperforming not only pretext scene reconstruction tasks but also downstream detection tasks.

Conditional Diffusion for 3D CT Volume Reconstruction from 2D X-rays

Computed tomography (CT) provides rich 3D anatomical detail but is often constrained by high radiation exposure, substantial costs, and limited availability. Standard chest X-rays are cost-effective and widely accessible, but provide only 2D projections with limited pathological information. Reconstructing 3D CT volumes from 2D X-rays could markedly increase diagnostic accessibility, yet existing methods rely predominantly on synthetic X-ray projections, limiting clinical generalization. We propose AXON, a multi-stage diffusion-based framework that reconstructs 3D CT volumes directly from real X-rays with substantially improved fidelity over existing approaches. AXON follows a coarse-to-fine paradigm: a Brownian Bridge diffusion model first captures global anatomical structure, and a ControlNet-guided refinement stage then enhances local intensity detail and anatomical realism. To alleviate the depth ambiguity inherent in 2D-to-3D reconstruction, AXON incorporates bi-planar X-ray views, enabling more accurate spatial reasoning and structural recovery. A dedicated super-resolution module further increases the spatial resolution of the generated volumes. Experiments on public and external datasets show that AXON consistently surpasses state-of-the-art approaches while generalizing across diverse clinical distributions. At our highest-resolution bi-planar setting, AXON achieves an 11.9% improvement in PSNR and an 11.0% increase in SSIM over the strongest baseline evaluated at that resolution. In the 1283128^3 single-planar setting, it maintains a lead of 7.8% in PSNR on LIDC-IDRI, with larger margins on the external clinical dataset of 8.0% in PSNR and 16.9% in SSIM. Neural Surface and Reflectance Modelling from 3D Radar Data

Robust scene representation is essential for autonomous systems to safely operate in challenging low-visibility environments. In these conditions, radar has a clear advantage over cameras and lidars due to its resilience to environmental factors such as fog, smoke, or dust. However, radar data is inherently sparse and noisy, making reliable 3D surface reconstruction challenging. To address this, we propose a neural implicit approach for 3D mapping from radar point clouds that jointly models scene geometry and view-dependent radar intensities. Our method leverages a memory-efficient hybrid feature encoding to learn a continuous Signed Distance Field (SDF) for surface reconstruction, while also capturing radar-specific reflective properties. We show that our approach produces smoother, more accurate 3D surface reconstructions compared to existing lidar-based reconstruction methods applied to radar data and can reconstruct view-dependent radar intensities. We also show that, in general, as input point clouds get sparser, neural implicit representations render more faithful surfaces than traditional explicit SDFs and meshing techniques.

UniQueR: Unified Query-based Feedforward 3D Reconstruction

We present UniQueR, a unified query-based feedforward framework for efficient and accurate 3D reconstruction from unposed images. Existing feedforward models such as DUSt3R, VGGT, and AnySplat typically predict per-pixel point maps or pixel-aligned Gaussians, which remain fundamentally 2.5D and limited to visible surfaces. In contrast, UniQueR formulates reconstruction as a sparse 3D query inference problem. Our model learns a compact set of 3D anchor points that act as explicit geometric queries, enabling the network to infer scene structure, including geometry in occluded regions--in a single forward pass. Each query encodes spatial and appearance priors directly in global 3D space (instead of per-frame camera space) and spawns a set of 3D Gaussians for differentiable rendering. By leveraging unified query interactions across multi-view features and a decoupled cross-attention design, UniQueR achieves strong geometric expressiveness while substantially reducing memory and computational cost. Experiments on Mip-NeRF 360 and VR-NeRF demonstrate that UniQueR surpasses state-of-the-art feedforward methods in both rendering quality and geometric accuracy, using an order of magnitude fewer primitives than dense alternatives.

The Role of Initialization in 3D Gaussian Splatting

3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) has become the method of choice for photo-realistic novel view synthesis (NVS), due to its efficiency and compelling visual quality. 3DGS represents the scene as a set of 3D Gaussians, parameterized by their position, spatial extent, and view-dependent color. Starting from an initial point cloud, 3DGS refines the Gaussians' parameters to reconstruct a set of training images as accurately as possible. Typically, a sparse Structure-from-Motion point cloud is used as initialization. Thus, in order to obtain a full scene representation, 3DGS methods rely on a densification stage. In this paper, we systematically study how initialization affects 3DGS NVS performance and geometric quality, using several densification strategies. We show that dense initialization does not lead to consistent visual improvements when paired with strong densification. Despite that, it helps in generalization to off-trajectory views and significantly improves geometric accuracy of the scenes. Our code is available at https://github.com/deivse/ivd_splat.

2K Retrofit: Entropy-Guided Efficient Sparse Refinement for High-Resolution 3D Geometry Prediction

High-resolution geometric prediction is essential for robust perception in autonomous driving, robotics, and AR/MR, but current foundation models are fundamentally limited by their scalability to real-world, high-resolution scenarios. Direct inference on 2K images with these models incurs prohibitive computational and memory demands, making practical deployment challenging. To tackle the issue, we present 2K Retrofit, a novel framework that enables efficient 2K-resolution inference for any geometric foundation model, without modifying or retraining the backbone. Our approach leverages fast coarse predictions and an entropy-based sparse refinement to selectively enhance high-uncertainty regions, achieving precise and high-fidelity 2K outputs with minimal overhead. Extensive experiments on widely used benchmark demonstrate that 2K Retrofit consistently achieves state-of-the-art accuracy and speed, bridging the gap between research advances and scalable deployment in high-resolution 3D vision applications. Code will be released upon acceptance.

AHOY! Animatable Humans under Occlusion from YouTube Videos with Gaussian Splatting and Video Diffusion Priors

We present AHOY, a method for reconstructing complete, animatable 3D Gaussian avatars from in-the-wild monocular video despite heavy occlusion. Existing methods assume unoccluded input-a fully visible subject, often in a canonical pose-excluding the vast majority of real-world footage where people are routinely occluded by furniture, objects, or other people. Reconstructing from such footage poses fundamental challenges: large body regions may never be observed, and multi-view supervision per pose is unavailable. We address these challenges with four contributions: (i) a hallucination-as-supervision pipeline that uses identity-finetuned diffusion models to generate dense supervision for previously unobserved body regions; (ii) a two-stage canonical-to-pose-dependent architecture that bootstraps from sparse observations to full pose-dependent Gaussian maps; (iii) a map-pose/LBS-pose decoupling that absorbs multi-view inconsistencies from the generated data; (iv) a head/body split supervision strategy that preserves facial identity. We evaluate on YouTube videos and on multi-view capture data with significant occlusion and demonstrate state-of-the-art reconstruction quality. We also demonstrate that the resulting avatars are robust enough to be animated with novel poses and composited into 3DGS scenes captured using cell-phone video. MessyKitchens: Contact-rich object-level 3D scene reconstruction

Monocular 3D scene reconstruction has recently seen significant progress. Powered by the modern neural architectures and large-scale data, recent methods achieve high performance in depth estimation from a single image. Meanwhile, reconstructing and decomposing common scenes into individual 3D objects remains a hard challenge due to the large variety of objects, frequent occlusions and complex object relations. Notably, beyond shape and pose estimation of individual objects, applications in robotics and animation require physically-plausible scene reconstruction where objects obey physical principles of non-penetration and realistic contacts. In this work we advance object-level scene reconstruction along two directions. First, we introduceMessyKitchens, a new dataset with real-world scenes featuring cluttered environments and providing high-fidelity object-level ground truth in terms of 3D object shapes, poses and accurate object contacts. Second, we build on the recent SAM 3D approach for single-object reconstruction and extend it with Multi-Object Decoder (MOD) for joint object-level scene reconstruction. To validate our contributions, we demonstrate MessyKitchens to significantly improve previous datasets in registration accuracy and inter-object penetration. We also compare our multi-object reconstruction approach on three datasets and demonstrate consistent and significant improvements of MOD over the state of the art. Our new benchmark, code and pre-trained models will become publicly available on our project website: https://messykitchens.github.io/.

Interp3R: Continuous-time 3D Geometry Estimation with Frames and Events

In recent years, 3D visual foundation models, pioneered by pointmap-based approaches such as DUSt3R, have attracted a lot of interest, achieving impressive accuracy and strong generalization across diverse scenes. However, these methods are inherently limited to recovering scene geometry only at the discrete time instants when images are captured, leaving the scene evolution during the blind time between consecutive frames largely unexplored. We introduce Interp3R, to the best of our knowledge, the first method that enhances pointmap-based models to estimate depth and camera poses at arbitrary time instants. It leverages asynchronous event data to interpolate pointmaps produced by frame-based models, enabling temporally continuous geometric representations. Depth and camera poses are then jointly recovered by aligning the interpolated pointmaps together with those predicted by the underlying frame-based models into a consistent spatial framework. We train Interp3R exclusively on a synthetic dataset, yet demonstrate strong generalization across six datasets, both synthetic and real. Compared with the best two-stage baseline, Interp3R reduces absolute relative depth error by 15%-32% on DSEC and absolute trajectory error by up to 51% on EDS.

Direct Object-Level Reconstruction via Probabilistic Gaussian Splatting

Object-level 3D reconstruction play important roles across domains such as cultural heritage digitization, industrial manufacturing, and virtual reality. However, existing Gaussian Splatting-based approaches generally rely on full-scene reconstruction, in which substantial redundant background information is introduced, leading to increased computational and storage overhead. To address this limitation, we propose an efficient single-object 3D reconstruction method based on 2D Gaussian Splatting. By directly integrating foreground-background probability cues into Gaussian primitives and dynamically pruning low-probability Gaussians during training, the proposed method fundamentally focuses on an object of interest and improves the memory and computational efficiency. Our pipeline leverages probability masks generated by YOLO and SAM to supervise probabilistic Gaussian attributes, replacing binary masks with continuous probability values to mitigate boundary ambiguity. Additionally, we propose a dual-stage filtering strategy for training's startup to suppress background Gaussians. And, during training, rendered probability masks are conversely employed to refine supervision and enhance boundary consistency across views. Experiments conducted on the MIP-360, T&T, and NVOS datasets demonstrate that our method exhibits strong self-correction capability in the presence of mask errors and achieves reconstruction quality comparable to standard 3DGS approaches, while requiring only approximately 1/10 of their Gaussian amount. These results validate the efficiency and robustness of our method for single-object reconstruction and highlight its potential for applications requiring both high fidelity and computational efficiency.

HARMONI: Aligning Human and Scene Priors for Multi-View 4D Reconstruction

Recent advances in 3D foundation models have enabled joint reconstruction of humans and their surrounding environments. However, combining independently trained human and scene priors often produces misalignment in scale and depth. We observe that the two priors have complementary strengths. The scene prior provides consistent depth but approximate scale, while the human prior provides fixed body scale but less reliable depth. Motivated by this observation, we present HARMONI, a feed-forward framework that reconstructs cameras, scene, and humans with identities from monocular or multi-view video without test-time optimization. We introduce bidirectional anchoring, in which scene depth guides human placement, while human keypoints calibrate the scene scale to match the human body. While most existing approaches target monocular inputs and multi-view methods rely on optimization or re-identification, our approach naturally extends to multiple views. Building on bidirectional anchoring, we introduce a multi-view fusion module that merges per-view estimates, while reducing the influence of unreliable views and visually similar individuals. Experiments show that our framework outperforms previous human-scene methods in global motion and multi-view pose estimation by up to 28% and 64%, while running 28 times faster than optimization-based approaches. Articulat3D: Reconstructing Articulated Digital Twins From Monocular Videos with Geometric and Motion Constraints

Building high-fidelity digital twins of articulated objects from visual data remains a central challenge. Existing approaches depend on multi-view captures of the object in discrete, static states, which severely constrains their real-world scalability. In this paper, we introduce Articulat3D, a novel framework that constructs such digital twins from casually captured monocular videos by jointly enforcing explicit 3D geometric and motion constraints. We first propose Motion Prior-Driven Initialization, which leverages 3D point tracks to exploit the low-dimensional structure of articulated motion. By modeling scene dynamics with a compact set of motion bases, we facilitate soft decomposition of the scene into multiple rigidly moving groups. Building on this initialization, we introduce Geometric and Motion Constraints Refinement, which enforces physically plausible articulation through learnable kinematic primitives parameterized by a joint axis, a pivot point, and per-frame motion scalars, yielding reconstructions that are both geometrically accurate and temporally coherent. Extensive experiments demonstrate that Articulat3D achieves state-of-the-art performance on synthetic benchmarks and real-world casually captured monocular videos, significantly advancing the feasibility of digital twin creation under uncontrolled real-world conditions. Spherical-GOF: Geometry-Aware Panoramic Gaussian Opacity Fields for 3D Scene Reconstruction

Omnidirectional images are increasingly used in robotics and vision due to their wide field of view. However, extending 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) to panoramic camera models remains challenging, as existing formulations are designed for perspective projections and naive adaptations often introduce distortion and geometric inconsistencies. We present Spherical-GOF, an omnidirectional Gaussian rendering framework built upon Gaussian Opacity Fields (GOF). Unlike projection-based rasterization, Spherical-GOF performs GOF ray sampling directly on the unit sphere in spherical ray space, enabling consistent ray-Gaussian interactions for panoramic rendering. To make the spherical ray casting efficient and robust, we derive a conservative spherical bounding rule for fast ray-Gaussian culling and introduce a spherical filtering scheme that adapts Gaussian footprints to distortion-varying panoramic pixel sampling. Extensive experiments on standard panoramic benchmarks (OmniBlender and OmniPhotos) demonstrate competitive photometric quality and substantially improved geometric consistency. Compared with the strongest baseline, Spherical-GOF reduces depth reprojection error by 57% and improves cycle inlier ratio by 21%. Qualitative results show cleaner depth and more coherent normal maps, with strong robustness to global panorama rotations. We further validate generalization on OmniRob, a real-world robotic omnidirectional dataset introduced in this work, featuring UAV and quadruped platforms. The source code and the OmniRob dataset will be released at https://github.com/1170632760/Spherical-GOF.

OSCAR: Occupancy-based Shape Completion via Acoustic Neural Implicit Representations

Accurate 3D reconstruction of vertebral anatomy from ultrasound is important for guiding minimally invasive spine interventions, but it remains challenging due to acoustic shadowing and view-dependent signal variations. We propose an occupancy-based shape completion method that reconstructs complete 3D anatomical geometry from partial ultrasound observations. Crucially for intra-operative applications, our approach extracts the anatomical surface directly from the image, avoiding the need for anatomical labels during inference. This label-free completion relies on a coupled latent space representing both the image appearance and the underlying anatomical shape. By leveraging a Neural Implicit Representation (NIR) that jointly models both spatial occupancy and acoustic interactions, the method uses acoustic parameters to become implicitly aware of the unseen regions without explicit shadowing labels through tracking acoustic signal transmission. We show that this method outperforms state-of-the-art shape completion for B-mode ultrasound by 80% in HD95 score. We validate our approach both in-silico and on phantom US images with registered mesh models from CT labels, demonstrating accurate reconstruction of occluded anatomy and robust generalization across diverse imaging conditions. Code and data will be released on publication.

DefenseSplat: Enhancing the Robustness of 3D Gaussian Splatting via Frequency-Aware Filtering

3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) has emerged as a powerful paradigm for real-time and high-fidelity 3D reconstruction from posed images. However, recent studies reveal its vulnerability to adversarial corruptions in input views, where imperceptible yet consistent perturbations can drastically degrade rendering quality, increase training and rendering time, and inflate memory usage, even leading to server denial-of-service. In our work, to mitigate this issue, we begin by analyzing the distinct behaviors of adversarial perturbations in the low- and high-frequency components of input images using wavelet transforms. Based on this observation, we design a simple yet effective frequency-aware defense strategy that reconstructs training views by filtering high-frequency noise while preserving low-frequency content. This approach effectively suppresses adversarial artifacts while maintaining the authenticity of the original scene. Notably, it does not significantly impair training on clean data, achieving a desirable trade-off between robustness and performance on clean inputs. Through extensive experiments under a wide range of attack intensities on multiple benchmarks, we demonstrate that our method substantially enhances the robustness of 3DGS without access to clean ground-truth supervision. By highlighting and addressing the overlooked vulnerabilities of 3D Gaussian Splatting, our work paves the way for more robust and secure 3D reconstructions.

CADReasoner: Iterative Program Editing for CAD Reverse Engineering

Computer-Aided Design (CAD) powers modern engineering, yet producing high-quality parts still demands substantial expert effort. Many AI systems tackle CAD reverse engineering, but most are single-pass and miss fine geometric details. In contrast, human engineers compare the input shape with the reconstruction and iteratively modify the design based on remaining discrepancies. Agent-based methods mimic this loop with frozen VLMs, but weak 3D grounding of current foundation models limits reliability and efficiency. We introduce CADReasoner, a model trained to iteratively refine its prediction using geometric discrepancy between the input and the predicted shape. The model outputs a runnable CadQuery Python program whose rendered mesh is fed back at the next step. CADReasoner fuses multi-view renders and point clouds as complementary modalities. To bridge the realism gap, we propose a scan-simulation protocol applied during both training and evaluation. Across DeepCAD, Fusion 360, and MCB benchmarks, CADReasoner attains state-of-the-art results on clean and scan-sim tracks.

TTSA3R: Training-Free Temporal-Spatial Adaptive Persistent State for Streaming 3D Reconstruction

Streaming recurrent models enable efficient 3D reconstruction by maintaining persistent state representations. However, they suffer from catastrophic forgetting over long sequences due to balancing historical information with new observations. Recent methods alleviate this by deriving adaptive signals from the attention perspective, but they operate on single dimensions without considering temporal and spatial consistency. To this end, we propose a training-free framework termed TTSA3R that leverages both temporal state evolution and spatial observation quality for adaptive state updates in 3D reconstruction. In particular, we devise a Temporal Adaptive Update Module that regulates update magnitude by analyzing temporal state evolution patterns. Then, a Spatial Contextual Update Module is introduced to localize spatial regions that require updates through observation-state alignment and scene dynamics. These complementary signals are finally fused to determine the state updating strategies. Extensive experiments show that TTSA3R achieves competitive performance on standard short-sequence benchmarks and provides substantially stronger robustness on extended sequences. On NRGBD, as sequences extend from 50 to 250 frames, TTSA3R exhibits only a 1.33x error increase, compared with over 4x degradation for CUT3R. This highlights the practical value of temporal-spatial adaptive updates for long-term reconstruction stability. Our code is available at https://github.com/anonus2357/ttsa3r.

MetricAnything: Scaling Metric Depth Pretraining with Noisy Heterogeneous Sources

Scaling has powered recent advances in vision foundation models, yet extending this paradigm to metric depth estimation remains challenging due to heterogeneous sensor noise, camera-dependent biases, and metric ambiguity in noisy cross-source 3D data. We introduce Metric Anything, a simple and scalable pretraining framework that learns metric depth from noisy, diverse 3D sources without manually engineered prompts, camera-specific modeling, or task-specific architectures. Central to our approach is the Sparse Metric Prompt, created by randomly masking depth maps, which serves as a universal interface that decouples spatial reasoning from sensor and camera biases. Using about 20M image-depth pairs spanning reconstructed, captured, and rendered 3D data across 10000 camera models, we demonstrate-for the first time-a clear scaling trend in the metric depth track. The pretrained model excels at prompt-driven tasks such as depth completion, super-resolution and Radar-camera fusion, while its distilled prompt-free student achieves state-of-the-art results on monocular depth estimation, camera intrinsics recovery, single/multi-view metric 3D reconstruction, and VLA planning. We also show that using pretrained ViT of Metric Anything as a visual encoder significantly boosts Multimodal Large Language Model capabilities in spatial intelligence. These results show that metric depth estimation can benefit from the same scaling laws that drive modern foundation models, establishing a new path toward scalable and efficient real-world metric perception. We open-source MetricAnything at http://metric-anything.github.io/metric-anything-io/ to support community research.

WaterClear-GS: Optical-Aware Gaussian Splatting for Underwater Reconstruction and Restoration

Underwater 3D reconstruction and appearance restoration remain challenging due to the complex optical properties of water, such as wavelength-dependent attenuation and scattering. Existing Neural Radiance Fields (NeRF)-based approaches often suffer from slow rendering and limited practicality, while vanilla 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) lacks an effective mechanism to account for underwater degradation. To address this, we propose WaterClear-GS, a physics-informed reformulation of underwater Gaussian splatting that models degradation as intrinsic Gaussian attributes rather than external medium fields. Furthermore, we adopt a dual-branch optimization strategy that preserves underwater photometric consistency while encouraging a practical separation between restoration-oriented latent clean appearance and degradation. This strategy is enhanced by depth-guided geometry regularization and perception-driven image supervision, together with exposure constraints, spatially adaptive regularization, and physics-informed spectral regularization, which collectively promote spatial coherence and plausible visual appearance. Extensive experiments on standard benchmarks and our collected dataset demonstrate that WaterClear-GS achieves strong performance on both novel view synthesis (NVS) and underwater image restoration (UIR) tasks, while maintaining 160+ FPS real-time rendering. The code will be available at https://sherii888.github.io/WaterClear-GS/.

ThermoSplat: Cross-Modal 3D Gaussian Splatting with Feature Modulation and Geometry Decoupling

Multi-modal scene reconstruction integrating RGB and thermal infrared data is essential for robust environmental perception across diverse lighting and weather conditions. However, extending 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) to multi-spectral scenarios remains challenging. Current approaches often struggle to fully leverage the complementary information of multi-modal data, typically relying on mechanisms that either tend to neglect cross-modal correlations or leverage shared representations that fail to adaptively handle the complex structural correlations and physical discrepancies between spectrums. To address these limitations, we propose ThermoSplat, a novel framework that enables deep spectral-aware reconstruction through active feature modulation and adaptive geometry decoupling. First, we introduce a Spectrum-Aware Adaptive Modulation that dynamically conditions shared latent features on thermal structural priors, effectively guiding visible texture synthesis with reliable cross-modal geometric cues. Second, to accommodate modality-specific geometric inconsistencies, we propose a Modality-Adaptive Geometric Decoupling scheme that learns independent opacity offsets and executes an independent rasterization pass for the thermal branch. Additionally, a hybrid rendering pipeline is employed to integrate explicit Spherical Harmonics with implicit neural decoding, ensuring both semantic consistency and high-frequency detail preservation. Extensive experiments on the RGBT-Scenes dataset demonstrate that ThermoSplat achieves state-of-the-art rendering quality across both visible and thermal spectrums.
