RotateIt! Fast and Reliable Single-Arm Garment Unfolding via Online-Adaptive Dynamic Rotation

Robotic garment unfolding is essential for downstream tasks, yet quasi-static methods require repeated actions, while existing dynamic approaches predominantly rely on bimanual flinging. We present RotateIt!, a single-arm framework that uses adaptive axial rotation for dynamic garment unfolding. To the best of our knowledge, it is the first unfolding framework to employ dynamic axial rotation as its primary manipulation primitive. From a randomly initialized tabletop configuration, the robot selects a rotation-effective grasp and rotates the lifted garment about an approximately fixed anchor, generating inertial tension that separates overlapping layers within a compact workspace. A grasp ranker selects the anchor, while an online residual policy adapts the rotation extent and speed, thereby determining the release timing. Across seen and unseen simulated garments and eight unseen real garments, RotateIt! improves success within three attempts by 44.0-61.0 percentage points over quasi-static pick-and-place. The simulation-trained policies transfer zero-shot to the real world, achieving 75.6% success, 41% higher first-attempt coverage, and 26% higher final coverage. The resulting states further enable autonomous robotic folding without manual rearrangement.

Smart Insole Human Activity Recognition for Continuous Monitoring in Elderly Care

Falls in older adults are often preceded by changes in mobility, balance, and postural transitions. This paper presents a wireless smart insole platform and machine-learning workflow for recognizing sitting, standing, walking, and unstable walking from plantar-pressure and inertial signals. Each insole integrates 16 active pressure-sensing locations and a six-dimensional IMU stream consisting of tri-axial acceleration and angular velocity. Data were collected from 15 healthy adults at 80~Hz and segmented into overlapping windows. Window length and candidate model families were first screened with stratified 10-fold cross-validation; the primary performance estimate was then obtained with participant-independent 5-fold Stratified Group cross-validation, ensuring that all windows from a participant remained in a single fold. Under this protocol, Histogram-Based Gradient Boosting (HGB) achieved macro-F1 scores of 0.954 and 0.959 for the left and right feet, respectively, and 0.980 with bilateral sensing. A compact 1D-CNN evaluated with the same participant-independent folds did not significantly outperform HGB (p=0.0625p=0.0625). The results show that low-profile footwear sensing can infer activity state from pressure and IMU measurements for participants unseen during training, establishing a basis for activity monitoring and fall prevention in elderly care.

TempCloze: Can Video-LLMs Identify the Missing Middle?

Temporal reasoning benchmarks for Video-LLMs are often mediated by language, leaving room for linguistic shortcuts from option wording, answer correlations, or language priors. To reduce such shortcuts, we introduce TempCloze, a video cloze benchmark for evaluating visual temporal reasoning in Video-LLMs. Given the beginning and ending clips of a video, models must identify the true missing middle from four candidates. TempCloze contains 1,521 carefully filtered videos from seven sources, mainly long-take and egocentric videos. We construct same-source distractors along three dimensions: Semantic asks what event should happen, Alignment probes when it should occur, and Progression tests how it should unfold, while shared scenes and objects reduce appearance cues. Our evaluation of 10 proprietary and 21 open-source Video-LLMs reveals Alignment as the primary bottleneck: models often recognize plausible semantic content and local event progression but struggle with temporal alignment. We further conduct error pattern and behavioral sensitivity analyses on TempCloze-Mixed and TempCloze-Hard with four representative models to examine where errors arise and how candidate order, context direction, visible span, frame density, and test-time scaling influence model choices.

GarmentWeaver: Schema-Aware Structured Synthesis for Multimodal Sewing Patterns

Multimodal Sewing pattern generation aims to infer executable sewing patterns from design cues such as sketches and textual descriptions. As an interpretable and simulation-compatible representation, sewing patterns are particularly valuable for digital garment creation. However, existing methods often model garment specifications as flat long sequences, which entangles garment structure with detailed parameters and leads to redundant components, inaccurate local details, and poor simulation compatibility. In this paper, we present GarmentWeaver, a schema-aware framework for multimodal Sewing pattern generation. GarmentWeaver constructs compact hierarchical targets by activating garment-relevant structural branches and predicts executable Sewing patterns in a structured manner. Specifically, we introduce a schema-aware target construction strategy, build the generator on top of a pretrained vision-language model for multimodal garment understanding, and impose feasibility-aware regularization to encourage structurally valid and simulation-compatible outputs. Extensive experiments show that GarmentWeaver produces more accurate and more executable sewing patterns than strong baselines, while also yielding better simulation results. These findings demonstrate the effectiveness of schema-aware structured generation for reliable multimodal Sewing pattern prediction.

Beyond Global Realism: Virtual Try-On Evaluation and Optimization with Dimension-wise Garment Fidelity Assessment

Virtual try-on (VTON) requires not only realistic generation but also faithful preservation of garment characteristics. However, existing evaluation metrics such as PSNR, SSIM, KID and FID struggle to measure the consistency between the generated and reference garments, particularly in capturing the multi-dimensional characteristics of garment fidelity. To address this, we propose DAT: a Dimension-wise Assessment framework for virtual Try-on, which decomposes garment consistency into seven interpretable dimensions: silhouette, color, neckline and sleeve shape, major decoration and structure, material texture, fine-detail fidelity, and logo preservation, each formulated as a discrete attribute-level prediction task. To train this specialized assessment model, we adopt a two-stage learning paradigm comprising large-scale weak supervision on 50K samples, followed by refinement on 10K higher-quality annotations obtained via multi-model voting. Furthermore, we employ weighted cross-entropy loss to mitigate the severe label imbalance inherent across evaluation dimensions. Beyond its role as an evaluation framework, the assessment model can be integrated into reinforcement learning optimization of Qwen-Image-Edit for VTON, where dimension-wise rewards are adaptively aggregated to emphasize under-optimized aspects during training. Experimental results show that our method (8B parameters) achieves state-of-the-art performance in terms of balanced accuracy, SROCC, and PLCC, outperforming strong proprietary models such as Gemini-3.1, Qwen3.7-plus, and GPT-5.5, while also serving as an effective optimization signal for reward-guided VTON generation

Attribute-Conditioned Multimodal Slot Factorization for Controllable Fashion Retrieval

Fashion retrieval often requires satisfying multiple attributes at once, such as category, color, pattern, and demographic. Monolithic embeddings mix these signals into a single vector, making attribute-specific control difficult at retrieval time. Many existing semantic-ID methods provide discrete item codes, but these codes are typically optimized as item-level or residual addresses and do not expose named, independently controllable attribute slots. We introduce MM-slotgate, a multimodal slot encoder that factorizes Fashion-CLIP text and image embeddings into four named attribute slots. Each slot learns its own text-image gate, so visually grounded attributes such as color and pattern can rely more on image evidence, while taxonomy-oriented attributes such as category and demographic can remain more text-driven. On H&M, using a combined slot-similarity and slot-logit retrieval score, MM-slotgate achieves 0.7566 macro ConstraintSatisfied@10, outperforming equal-weight multimodal fusion (0.7142) and fCLIP text-only retrieval (0.4755). The largest gain is on color, which improves from 0.321 to 0.889 (+0.568 absolute), as the learned color gate assigns 57.4% weight to image evidence. The learned gates are interpretable without modality supervision: color is image-leaning, category is text-leaning, and pattern and demographic lie near the middle. The resulting slots also remain controllable: linear probes show no measured excess leakage beyond the label-correlation baseline, and quantized slot codes support targeted intervention, including a 15.3x lift for color. These results suggest that controllable fashion retrieval benefits from typed, attribute-conditioned multimodal slots rather than either a single global embedding or opaque item-level semantic IDs.

FemWear: A Parameter-Efficient Wearable Foundation Model for Women's Health

General-purpose wearable foundation models are pretrained on broad sensor streams and populations, but their representations are not organized around women's health. FemWear is a women's wearable foundation model, obtained by parameter-efficiently repurposing a pretrained general multimodal wearable backbone into a specialized representation for women's health. It keeps the pretrained patch projection and Transformer encoder frozen and trains 239,236 encoder parameters - 1.11% of a 21.54M-parameter encoder - through low-rank residual adapters and causal task-family heads, producing one shared longitudinal representation for menstrual, symptom, affective, sleep/recovery, autonomic, activity, and pregnancy outcomes. We evaluate six cohorts with 63 comparable primary metrics, 33 from women's-health cohorts, while retaining the 32-task OpenMHC ability-retention benchmark. On a fixed participant split over three seeds, FemWear improved cycle-phase macro-F1 by 8.15% and reduced mean absolute error for cramps, mood symptoms, and sleep problems by 9.32%, 5.80%, and 9.43%; 24-hour onset AUPRC decreased by 3.40%. A stricter 42-participant nested leave-one-participant-out audit retained positive changes for 24-hour onset (+2.87%), 72-hour onset (+6.35%), and cramps (+2.19%), while phase, mood, and sleep changes were neutral or negative and no endpoint had a strictly positive corrected confidence interval. Capacity-matched experiments beat a latest-day multilayer perceptron but not shared-GRU or multi-gate mixture-of-experts baselines. Train-only calibration reduced onset expected calibration error by 84.2-88.2% with zero temporal-nesting violations. FemWear is therefore a women's wearable foundation model: a reproducible, parameter-efficient specialization delivering targeted transfer across women's-health tasks and coherent probability outputs.

Controllable Clothing: Precise Labels and Generation for Virtual Try-On with Latent Diffusion Models

In this technical report, I present a new method for guiding image generation in the context of Virtual- Try-On (VITON). The proposed method leverages new open source Ai models to augment the image data with labels, such as lengths and styles. By training adapters with these labels paired with images of the garments, the model can produce a more diverse set of images that the user can control. For the end user, such as a retailer, this means that they can assure that the produced image is as true to the true fit as possible, not misleading consumers

UniVVT: A Unified End-to-End Framework for High-Fidelity Video Virtual Try-on

Video Virtual Try-On (VVT) synthesizes a video of a person wearing a target garment while preserving identity, motion, and scene dynamics. Dominant approaches cast VVT as mask-conditioned video inpainting and rely on separate modules for human parsing, pose estimation, and garment warping. This multi-stage design complicates deployment and, more critically, allows errors in explicit geometric priors to propagate irreversibly into the generated video. We present UniVVT, a unified end-to-end framework that reframes VVT as semantically conditioned video generation, eliminating mask, pose, and warping modules at inference. At its core, a scene-task perceiver built on a Multimodal Large Language Model jointly encodes the source video, target garment, and task instruction into compact, task-aware latent tokens, implicitly capturing what to transfer and where and how to transfer it. A lightweight semantic bridge then aligns these tokens with the conditioning space of a diffusion-based video generator, enabling coherent garment transfer. To robustly couple the heterogeneous components, we devise a three-stage progressive training strategy comprising semantic alignment, joint task adaptation, and flexible-resolution refinement. Extensive experiments demonstrate that UniVVT achieves state-of-the-art performance across multiple benchmarks, validating implicit semantic guidance as a simple and effective alternative to fragile geometric preprocessing for end-to-end virtual try-on.

Forwardrobe: Garment-Aware Gaussian Avatars from a Single Image

Reconstructing animatable 3D human avatars from a single image remains particularly challenging for loose garments, whose geometry and motion cannot be adequately represented by body-aligned topology and skinning. We present Forwardrobe, a feed-forward framework for reconstructing garment-aware Gaussian avatars from a single image. Forwardrobe explicitly separates clothing from the body in canonical Gaussian space and equips the garment layer with continuity-aware geometry and skinning initialization, pose-conditioned non-rigid deformation, and appearance adaptation. These designs improve garment reconstruction and visual quality during animation, particularly for skirts and dresses. The separated garment layer additionally forms an independently controllable 3D asset, enabling garment editing, transfer, and 3D virtual try-on. Experiments demonstrate improved garment reconstruction quality and greater flexibility in garment manipulation compared with existing single-image avatar reconstruction methods.

Fashion-3DLR: A Controllable 3D Garment Generation Using Pairwise Fashion Elements for Intelligent Design

AI-generated content (AIGC) has made significant progress, with 2D generative models becoming ready-to-use tools for the digital fashion industry. However, 3D garment generation remains in its nascent stage, where in the realm of fashion, the semantic information of diverse design elements exhibits intricate coupling relationships in 3D representations, posing substantial challenges for generating diverse 3D garments. In this work, to handle the above problem, We introduce Fashion-3DLR, a novel 3D garment generation framework that utilizes diverse design elements to create high-quality, versatile 3D garment assets. Specifically, to bridge the semantic gaps between different fashion elements, we propose a Garment Feature Fusion Diffusion Transformer (GFF-DiT) module to integrate 2D fashion design elements, e.g., sketch and texture, into latent space. Within the latent space, we then employ a rectified flow transformer to generate geometry latents, which can be decoded into various 3D garment representations, including 3D Gaussians and meshes. Furthermore, we integrate Fashion-3DLR into downstream tasks, achieving the 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS)-driven cloth physical simulation and mesh-based virtual try-on. Experimental results indicate that Fashion-3DLR surpass the previous state-of-the-art methods, which verify that the proposed work can generate well-structured, non-watertight garments capable of physical simulation and virtual try-on, underscoring its potential as a versatile 3D garment design tool.

Layering Virtual Try-On

In the real world, fashion is about layering: adding a jacket over a shirt, or a sequence of adding and removing layers, rather than just a single-layer swap. This fundamental real-world task remains a challenge in existing Virtual Try-On (VTON) methods, which excel at single-layer replacement but are not designed to layer or de-layer an existing outfit. This paper proposes Layering Virtual Try-On (LVTON), a layering benchmark and method that preserves an existing outfit while enabling sequential layering. We find that current VTON paradigms are fundamentally ill-equipped for LVTON, as their reliance on cloth-agnostic representations and single-item datasets discards essential layering context. Our key insight is that the LVTON challenge must be disentangled into two distinct competencies: (1) General VTON Priors (e.g., deformation, identity preservation) and (2) Specific Layering Knowledge (e.g., layering order and occlusion reasoning). First, our model obtains general VTON priors by being trained on data produced by an automatic data generation pipeline that synthesizes samples from fashion videos via segmentation and inpainting. Second, the model is fine-tuned on a small, dedicated LVTON dataset to learn the layering logic. Our method achieves state-of-the-art results on our LVTON benchmark and demonstrates superior generalizability on traditional VTON benchmarks, setting new state-of-the-art results when fine-tuned and exhibiting zero-shot capabilities.

Oxygen-TryOn: Fashion-Native Foundation Model for Any-item Virtual Try-On

We present Oxygen-TryOn, a unified foundation model for any-item virtual try-on. Rather than repurposing a general-purpose image editor, Oxygen-TryOn is fashion-native, built for try-on through a dedicated data engine and try-on-specific training. Given one or more reference items (clean product shots or in-the-wild worn-on photos) and a single target subject image, it synthesizes a photorealistic image of the subject wearing the items across virtually any fashion category. Prior systems handle a single garment category in a studio setting, and recent multi-reference methods remain garment-centric; in contrast, Oxygen-TryOn supports diverse items and scenarios, including full- and half-body views, a variable number of references, and free multi-item composition, while faithfully preserving both subject identity and item appearance. Instead of mask-based inpainting, we reformulate try-on as a multi-reference, understanding-driven generation task. We build a data engine that collects, manufactures, annotates, and filters high-quality try-on data at scale, and design a three-stage recipe of continued pre-training (CPT), supervised fine-tuning (SFT), and reinforcement learning (RL). The RL stage uses a hybrid reward combining an in-house try-on reward model with a proprietary, rubric-guided general-purpose model, jointly supervising fine-grained consistency and instruction-level quality. It also follows general editing instructions (e.g., pose changes) in the same pass. Across public benchmarks and our in-house Oxygen-TryOn Bench, it achieves state-of-the-art consistency and realism on single-item try-on and leads on multi-item try-on, matching or surpassing both leading proprietary systems (Nano Banana Pro, GPT-Image-2, Seedream5 Lite) and open-source models (FLUX.2).

Learning-based Seam Correspondence Reconstruction in Sewing Patterns

Digital sewing patterns typically consist of disjoint 2D panels without explicit stitch annotations, making downstream 3D modeling reliant on labor-intensive expert specification. In this paper, we present a graph-based learning framework that reconstructs two-level stitching information, coarse panel connectivity and fine-grained seam correspondence, from 2D panel geometry alone. At the coarse level, panel connectivity is inferred by predicting panel semantics associated with anatomical body regions, enforcing consistency with body structure and garment design conventions. Based on the reconstructed panel graph, fine-grained seam correspondences between panel pairs are inferred by learning latent edge representations that jointly encode local seam geometry and global garment context through graph message passing. The resulting edge embeddings are subsequently decoded into detailed seam correspondences. Our method supports complex sewing-pattern topologies, including many-to-one correspondences, intra-panel seams, and curved seams. Experiments demonstrate high stitching accuracy and strong generalization across garment styles.

Diverse-Intent Multi-Turn Fashion Image Retrieval

Real-world fashion search involves interactive retrieval across multiple turns. However, existing multi-turn retrieval methods are built on a restrictive assumption that every interaction follows the same attribute-editing paradigm, leaving heterogeneous intent transitions unexplored. Moreover, existing approaches often rely on textification to bridge multimodal queries and visual retrieval, which may lose fine-grained visual cues. To address these gaps, we introduce DIM-Fashion, a benchmark of 26K multi-turn sessions constructed from 13 fashion retrieval datasets across 7 tasks, featuring diverse intent transitions and rollback behaviors. We further propose FashionAM, an MLLM-VLP framework that directly aligns multimodal conversational queries with a fashion-oriented gallery embedding space, avoiding intermediate textification. Extensive experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of FashionAM over existing approaches. The dataset and code will be made publicly available upon acceptance.

WearWow: Native 2K Multi-Garment Virtual Try-On via Adaptive Token Packing and Preference Alignment

Synthesizing native 2K multi-garment virtual try-on is a formidable frontier in digital fashion, critically bottlenecked by two fundamental limitations: the O(N^2) memory explosion induced by 2k conditions, and the spectral bias of diffusion models that over-smooths high-frequency fabric details. We present WearWow, an end-to-end, mask-free generative framework that pioneers ultra-high-resolution multi-garment synthesis. To mitigate the memory explosion , we propose Adaptive 2D Token Packing (ATP). ATP leverages inherent garment sparsity to algorithmically pack heterogeneous items onto a unified 2D canvas and prune uninformative background tokens, minimizing the effective sequence length and subsequent memory overhead while rigorously preserving 2D spatial priors. To rectify texture degradation, we introduce the Multi-dimensional Try-on Reward (MTR) system. MTR synergizes a Semantic Guidance Reward to explicitly drive tactile restoration with a Cloth Distribution Reward to implicitly anchor the physical distribution, a joint formulation that effectively mitigates the severe reward hacking. Furthermore, we curate WearWow-2K, an extreme-quality dataset comprising native 2K triplets, providing physically correct spatial interactions that naturally empower the model's mask-free generation. Extensive experiments demonstrate that WearWow establishes a new state-of-the-art, exceeding existing commercial baselines in native 2K multi-garment synthesis.

TAMF-VTON: Texture-Aware Mask-Free Virtual Try-On via High-Fidelity Image Synthesis

Recent diffusion-based virtual try-on (VTON) methods remain limited by their reliance on segmentation masks, insufficient preservation of fine-grained textures, and limited support for arbitrary multi-garment compositions. Consequently, existing approaches still face significant challenges in real-world e-commerce deployment. We present TAMF-VTON, a texture-aware, mask-free framework that enables high-fidelity image synthesis under practical unconstrained conditions. Our method requires no human parsing or inpainting masks at inference time and supports diverse garment styles, categories, and quantities, enabling the simultaneous transfer of multiple items while preserving body structure and intricate texture details. This is achieved through a unified generative pipeline with three key components: (1) a lightweight Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) adaptation scheme that enables efficient fine-tuning without compromising the base model's general editing capabilities; (2) a frequency-domain supervision mechanism that explicitly optimizes high-frequency spectral consistency to preserve high-fidelity textures; and (3) a robust data curation pipeline employing an adaptive inpainting strategy to simulate the inverse VTON process for high-quality training pair generation. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our approach outperforms state-of-the-art methods in both quantitative metrics and perceptual quality. Optimized for efficiency, the model achieves inference in under 15 seconds per image on an NVIDIA RTX 4090 with INT4 quantization. By combining mask-free operation, flexible multi-garment composition, faithful texture preservation, and efficient inference on consumer hardware, TAMF-VTON demonstrates a commercially viable solution for scalable deployment in real-world digital fashion scenarios. T3HG-Editor: Text-driven 3D Human Garment Editing with Body Priors Embedded in SMPL-X

While 3D Gaussian Editing (3DGE) has seen substantial progress, text-driven 3D human garment editing remains largely underexplored. Existing 3DGE works typically follow a paradigm that applies 2D editing techniques to multi-view rendered images and updates 3D Gaussians based on the modified images. Extending such methods to 3D human garment editing suffers from low-fidelity outcomes, caused by introduced distortions and garment inconsistencies. A promising breakthrough opportunity arises from the SMPL eXpressive (SMPL-X) model that embodies rich prior information for virtual humans. Motivated by this insight, we propose a text-driven 3D human garment editor termed T3HG-Editor, which delivers high-fidelity and garment consistent results by leveraging geometry and joint priors embedded in SMPL-X. Specifically, T3HG-Editor contains three stages, namely obtainment of editable Gaussians, garment consistent editing, and Gaussian updating with overflow pruning. The obtainment of editable Gaussians begins with seeding Gaussians along SMPL-X normals to generate sufficient near surface Gaussians, followed by a 2D mask constraint that precisely localizes the target Gaussians to be edited. The garment consistent editing aggregates tokens corresponding to the same SMPL-X vertex across multiple views and propagates them to their original views, enforcing garment consistency without requiring additional training. Gaussian updating with overflow pruning employs a Signed Distance Function (SDF) defined on SMPL-X to construct a human distance field, which is then integrated with a 2D semantic mask to prune overflowing Gaussians, thus preventing contamination of non-target regions. Experiments on multiple subjects and diverse garment types demonstrate that T3HG-Editor outperforms state-of-the-art methods in both editing quality and garment consistency.

Structure-Detail Decoupled Autoregressive Generation for Fast and High-Fidelity Virtual Try-On

Virtual try-on (VTON) is a bi-conditional image generation problem that requires not only accurate person preservation but also faithful garment deformation and detail synthesis. Diffusion-based VTON methods can jointly model these factors in a compressed latent space, but suffer from high-frequency detail loss due to inherent latent compression, even with costly multi-step denoising. Recent visual autoregressive (VAR) models offer a promising alternative for high-quality generation with faster inference, yet remain unexplored for VTON due to the lack of effective bi-conditioning mechanisms. To bridge this gap, we first introduce VAR-VTON, a VAR-based VTON model that incorporates garment conditioning and structural guidance for efficient latent-space VTON. Despite its efficacy, latent-space generation still struggles to preserve fine-grained garment details. We argue that different VTON sub-tasks should be addressed in different representation spaces: structural synthesis such as garment warping and person layout is suited to the latent space, whereas fine-grained detail recovery should be tackled in the pixel space. Motivated by this insight, we further propose STAR-VTON, a Two-Stage AutoRegressive framework that builds upon VAR-VTON by decoupling latent-space structural synthesis from pixel-space detail recovery. Our idea is to resort to a matching-informed refiner to establish dense correspondences between the stage-one generation and the source garment to directly map fine-grained pixel-space details. Extensive experiments show that STAR-VTON achieves an impressive efficiency-fidelity trade-off: VAR-VTON runs at least 4×4\times faster than diffusion-based counterparts without degrading quality, and the pixel-space refiner effectively restores fine details and acts as a plug-and-play module that can benefit existing VTON approaches.

Wearing A Coat: Dual-Arm Robot-Assisted Dressing with Differentiable Clothing Simulation

The development of assistive robots for dressing tasks serves to augment human convenience and improve the quality of life for individuals with physical impairments. However, due to the intricate contact interactions between garments and the human limbs during dressing, most robot-assisted dressing algorithms treat clothing as an assembly of discrete segments, thereby struggling to manage the partial worn garments under contact constraints. To overcome this challenge, we propose a novel robotic dressing control algorithm that integrates realtime differentiable clothing simulation. The simulation algorithm employs explicit iterative scheme with intentionally introduced higher-order perturbations to enhance computational efficiency while maintaining stability under large time-step conditions. Through simulation, we resolve the garment state under contact constraints, which then enables a multi-phase control strategy for successful coat dressing assistance. To further improve real-time performance, we introduce a constrained local model along with its corresponding optimization solver, permitting high-frequency local compensation for the differentiable simulation based global controller. Finally, we experimentally validate our approach through both simulated and physical dressing scenarios, conclusively demonstrating its feasibility and efficacy

Chalito: An Extensible Library for Filtering-Based State Estimation in Quadruped Robots

State estimation is essential for quadruped robots, enabling robust locomotion, navigation, and control. While many estimators have been proposed in the literature, existing implementations are often tied to specific robots or software stacks, making fair comparisons difficult. This lack of a general-purpose benchmarking framework hinders reproducibility and slows down algorithmic innovation. In this paper, we introduce Chalito, an extensible MATLAB/Python library for benchmarking filter-based state estimation algorithms in quadruped robots. Chalito imports robot models directly from URDF, supports multiple filtering approaches, and is designed to be easily extended with new methods. The framework runs on both simulated and real datasets, enabling systematic evaluation across robots and filters. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first open-source library exclusively dedicated to benchmarking filtering algorithms for quadruped robots.

CtrlVTON: Controllable Virtual Try-On via Visual-Instance-Prompt Segmentation

Virtual try-on (VTO) has made significant progress in realistically transferring garments onto a target person. Yet most systems give the user little control over how a garment should be worn -- its size (loose or fitted), style (e.g., tucked in or untucked, open or closed), and spatial placement on the body. We address this gap with two complementary contributions. First, we define and solve Visual-Instance-Prompt Segmentation via VIP-SAM: given a flatlay image of a garment, segment that specific instance in a photograph of a person wearing it. This is an instance-level task, distinct from the typically studied category-level segmentation. Second, we introduce CtrlVTON, a controllable VTO framework that recasts try-on as an image editing problem and adds segmentation masks as pixel-level control over garment layout, including style, size, and spatial placement on the body. VIP-SAM and CtrlVTON each achieve state-of-the-art results on their respective tasks. In particular, CtrlVTON generates images that follow user-provided layouts far more faithfully than the strongest proprietary editing systems while matching them on garment fidelity.

DetailAnywhere: Fashion Detail Generation via Cross-Modal Feature Alignment Distillation

Diffusion-based generative AI has achieved remarkable success in e-commerce applications such as virtual try-on, poster generation, and product background synthesis. However, when making online purchasing decisions for apparel, consumers also desire the freedom to examine specific detail regions of interest, such as collars, cuffs, and fabric textures, yet existing methods have not explicitly studied this setting. We therefore formalize a new, non-template task: Fashion Detail Generation with focus conditioning, and release FDBench, the first benchmark comprising 40K+ human-verified reference-detail pairs across 41 different categories. This task poses a unique semantic gap challenge: the model must bridge the correspondence between a focus marker on a product reference image and a photorealistic close-up view of the indicated region, while faithfully preserving the garment's identity, without any precise prompt. To bridge this gap, we propose Cross-modal Feature Alignment Distillation (CFAD), which leverages a fine-tuned DINOv3 teacher to align both branches of a Multimodal Diffusion Transformer in a shared semantic space via dual-branch distillation. To further improve consistency between generated details and reference images, we introduce a consistency reward model that jointly scores image pairs along three quality axes and optimizes generation via reinforcement learning. Experiments show that our model DetailAnywhere significantly outperforms all state-of-the-art opensource methods across all metrics and human evaluations.

Stitched Embeddings: A Unified Latent Space for 3D Garments and 2D Patterns

While garments are essential for realistic digital humans, their topological variety makes them much harder to model than parametric bodies. Traditional tailoring relies on 2D sewing patterns, yet bridging these patterns to 3D geometry currently requires physical simulations. We present Stitched Embeddings, the first simulation-free framework to unify 3D garment reconstruction and sewing pattern inference within a single bidirectional latent space. By leveraging the geometric priors of a pretrained 3D foundation model, our approach overcomes the data scarcity typically associated with high-quality garment modeling. We propose to use the BoxMesh as a critical intermediate representation to align 2D panels into 3D configurations without the computational overhead of a simulator. This architecture achieves state-of-the-art accuracy in pattern reconstruction while significantly improving efficiency. Furthermore, our differentiable pipeline enables novel applications, including pattern recovery from meshes and 3D editing from 2D patterns. Finally, this work provides a scalable link between neural 3D vision and the physical garment manufacturing pipeline. Project Page: https://andreus00.github.io/stitchedembeddings

GarmentZoom: Generating Zoomable Images from Garment Listings

Online product listings for garments often include an overview photo and a close-up to show garment details. However, each photo focuses on either field of view or garment detail, forcing users to alternate between views and breaking browsing continuity. We present GarmentZoom, a system that enhances the full-view photo to match the fidelity of its accompanying close-up, enabling seamless zoom-and-pan exploration. Unlike standard reference-based super-resolution, our setting involves close-up references that are spatially unaligned with the full view, and scale factors that vary substantially across garments 3-20×\times. Prior work typically relies on alignment to transfer details or requires per-instance fine-tuning to memorize them. Instead, we train a single model that supports a continuous range of scales across diverse garments. Our approach synthesizes details without requiring spatial alignment and matches the quality of per-instance methods with a fraction of the training cost.

OrthoTryOn: Geometric Orthogonalization for Conflict-Free Unified Fashion Generation

Unified fashion generation integrates tasks like virtual try-on and garment reconstruction into a single model to reduce task-specific adaptation costs. However, naive parameter sharing across semantically distinct tasks induces negative transfer through severe inter-task gradient conflict. We propose OrthoTryOn, a unified framework mitigating this interference within a shared Low-Rank Adaptation (LoRA) module. Its Orthogonal Subspace Projection (OSP) applies task-specific orthogonal rotations to bottleneck features, mapping them into decorrelated coordinate frames. To address residual semantic coupling at inference time, we further propose Fisher-guided Negative Guidance (FNG), a parameter-free strategy that utilizes diagonal Fisher information to quantify inter-task sensitivity overlap and explicitly repels generation trajectories from the most confusable task via Classifier-Free Guidance. Extensive experiments demonstrate that OrthoTryOn avoids the severe performance degradation typical of naive unified training and even surpasses independently trained task-specific models, achieving state-of-the-art results across multiple benchmarks while generalizing robustly across diverse diffusion backbones. Code is available at https://github.com/NJU-PCALab/OrthoTryOn.

ZooClaw-FashionSigLIP2: Distilled Fine-tuning for Robust Fashion Retrieval

Adapting a foundation vision-language encoder to a specialized retrieval task creates a fundamental tradeoff: gains on the target distribution come at the cost of the foundation model's broad generalization, and fashion retrieval is a stringent instance of this problem. We present ZooClaw-FashionSigLIP2, a fashion-specialized SigLIP2-base model that resolves this tradeoff with a simple recipe -- full fine-tuning with knowledge distillation on curated in-domain data, followed by \wiseft~\citep{wortsman2022wiseft} weight interpolation with the base model -- and outperforms LoRA, larger backbones (up to 1B parameters), and external training data. Under fair evaluation, ZooClaw-FashionSigLIP2 outperforms all baselines on every benchmark in our suite. In addition, we release ZooClaw-Fashion, a new high-quality fashion retrieval benchmark, and a systematic quality analysis of widely-used benchmarks that exposes and mitigates structural biases in their public ground truth. We open-source the model weights and all evaluation artifacts to facilitate future research.

Learning to Fold: prizewinning solution at LeHome Challenge 2026 (1st place online, 2nd offline)

I describe my solution to the LeHome Challenge 2026, an ICRA 2026 competition on bimanual garment folding. The system placed 1st of 62 teams in the online (simulation) round and 2nd in the real-world final. It improves a vision-language-action (VLA) policy with a reinforcement-learning loop. The policy is its own value function: the same network that predicts actions also predicts success, progress, and a few task-relevant future quantities, and those predictions drive advantage estimation, live failure detection, and candidate selection. The work mostly recombines existing RL ideas with engineering and optimization contributions that can be used together as one recipe or individually: AWR + RECAP combined for flow-matching VLA; an asynchronous distributed training / rollout pipeline through HuggingFace Hub; inference-time hyperparameters optimization via Thompson sampling; a sim-to-real recipe with camera-alignment tooling, heavy augmentation and DAgger-like HIL data collection.

Tailor Made Embeddings for Quantum Machine Learning

Autoencoders transformed classical machine learning by solving the curse of dimensionality, enabling principled weight initialization and learning compact, structured representations. In this work, we extend this paradigm to quantum machine learning by introducing a variational autoencoder framework that learns task-specific quantum embeddings of classical data. We demonstrate that high-dimensional datasets, including ImageNet, can be compressed into a 13-qubit quantum representation while remaining reconstructable through a learned decoder. On MNIST (3 vs 5), our approach achieves 98.5% validation accuracy using a circuit-centric quantum classifier, within 1.2 percentage points of a classical neural network baseline (99.7%) and more than 30 percentage points above a naive amplitude-embedding approach. Unlike amplitude embeddings, which require full quantum state tomography for recovery, or angle embeddings, which generally rely on circuit inversion under restrictive assumptions, the proposed framework reconstructs the original data from only a polynomial number of measurements. The framework was further validated on IBM quantum hardware, confirming that the learned embeddings remain stable and reconstructable under real device noise.

TryOnCrafter: Unleashing Camera Trajectories for Realistic Video Virtual Try-on via a Renderable 4D Try-on Proxy

While Video Virtual Try-on (VVT) has achieved remarkable progress in synthesizing realistic garment overlays on dynamic subjects, existing paradigms remains fundamentally constrained by a passive dependency on source camera trajectories, failing to accommodate the requisite interactive freedom for omnidirectional viewpoint exploration. To address this limitation, we define a pioneering research frontier: Camera-controllable Video Virtual Try-on (CaM-VVT). Unlike conventional VVT, CaM-VVT not only necessitates viewpoint-agnostic texture hallucination but also strict structural synchronization between non-rigid human dynamics and background contexts under arbitrary, unconstrained camera movements. To tackle these challenges, we present TryOnCrafter, the first unified DiT-based framework specifically architected for the CaM-VVT task. Departing from implicit pixel-space manipulation, we introduce a Renderable 4D Try-on Proxy that explicitly decouples the human subject from the environment. This is achieved by distilling high-fidelity 2D try-on priors into a clothed 3DGS-based avatar, which is subsequently animated via SMPL-X sequences and metric-aligned into a reconstructed background point cloud. This proxy establishes a robust structural foundation with superior texture density and motion integrity. Our Proxy-Anchored Video DiT leverages this robust structural foundation as a primary geometric anchor, ensuring that the synthesized photorealistic videos are strictly constrained by prescribed trajectories and physically plausible deformations. Benefiting from the inherent editability of the 4D proxy, TryOnCrafter facilitates diverse downstream applications, including human relocalization, ``bullet time'' effects, and 360360-degree orbital viewing.

PatternGSL: A Structured Specification Language for Template-Free and Simulation-Ready 3D Garments

Reconstructing realistic, physically plausible garments from a single image remains a fundamental challenge. Template-free methods capture surface geometry but lack explicit sewing structure for simulation; while programmatic systems are simulation-ready but constrained by predefined templates. This reveals a fundamental representation gap between geometric reconstruction and structured garment construction. We present PatternGSL, a structured garment representation in the form of a template-free and learnable specification language that encodes complete sewing patterns, including panel boundaries, parameterized seams, and explicit stitch topology, in a compact and standardized form. PatternGSL preserves the physical rigor of pattern-based models while removing template dependence, elevating sewing structure as a first-class target for generative modeling. We further propose a vision-language framework that predicts PatternGSL specifications directly from a single image and decodes them into garments using lightweight deterministic validity handling, without optimization-based refinement or manual cleanup. In addition, we introduce PatternGSLData, the first large-scale image-to-GSL paired dataset comprising 300K samples with complete sewing pattern annotations, enabling supervised VLM training for structured garment reconstruction. Experiments demonstrate improved pattern accuracy over prior baselines, explicit sewing-structure recovery, reliable cloth simulation, and pattern-level editing through the same deterministic decoding pipeline. Code and data-processing scripts will be released at https://lagrangeli.github.io/PatternGSL/.

Exploring Multi-Modal Large Language Models and Two-Stage Fine-Tuning for Fashion Image Retrieval

Composed image retrieval retrieves a target image using a composed query of a reference image and a modified text description. In the fashion domain, this task requires understanding subtle attribute variations such as color, pattern, and texture. However, existing approaches face limitations due to scarce annotated data and simplistic negative sampling. We propose a novel framework that integrates a multi-modal large language model (LLaVA) to generate attribute-aware triplets and introduces a two-stage fine-tuning strategy to enhance contrastive learning. We leverage pretrained vision-language models, such as CLIP-ViT/B32, to generate and concatenate sentence-level prompts with the relative caption and to scale the number of negatives using static representations. Experimental results demonstrate enhanced compositional reasoning and improved fine-grained retrieval behavior, underscoring the feasibility and potential of the proposed framework for fashion retrieval.

Seam-to-Graph Reconstruction for Garment Configuration Alignment

Seams encode rich structural information about garments but are frequently partially observable in robotic manipulation scenarios. To robustly leverage seam information, we propose a Seam-to-Graph network based on graph neural networks and attention mechanisms. This network maps unstructured seam observations to a topology-encoded structural skeleton graph for real-time garment state estimation. Using this skeleton-graph-based state estimation, we design a deformation-aware, hierarchical visual servoing controller for garment configuration alignment. We implement this controller on a bimanual robot system to load a garment onto a screen printing platen and to align it to the desired configuration precisely. Real-robot experiments demonstrate that the robot using the proposed method not only achieves human-level alignment accuracy with reduced variance in alignment error but is also robust to different garments. These results demonstrate that the use of seam information is effective for garment manipulation.

GarmentSketch: Large-scale Sketch-to-Fashion Benchmark

Fashion sketching is a cornerstone of design workflows, allowing rapid visualization of creative concepts prior to physical prototyping. Yet, progress in sketch-based fashion image synthesis has been hindered by the absence of large-scale, high-quality paired resources. To bridge this gap, we present GarmentSketch, a novel dataset comprising 26,249 fashion sketches across 21 garment categories, each paired with detailed textual descriptions. Captions were produced through a multi-stage pipeline that integrates multiple multimodal large language models (MLLMs) with human-in-the-loop refinement, ensuring both semantic accuracy and descriptive richness. We benchmark GarmentSketch on state-of-the-art generative models, providing baseline performance for sketch-guided text-to-image generation. Our experiments reveal both the promise and the current limitations of existing methods. By offering a comprehensive and richly annotated resource, GarmentSketch establishes a foundation for advancing sketch understanding, fine-grained fashion image generation, and creative human-AI collaboration in design. VietFashion: Benchmarking Sketch-Text Composed Image Retrieval for Cultural Outfits

Cultural garments pose a unique challenge for visual retrieval systems, as their identity often depends on subtle structural and symbolic details that are poorly captured by standard AI models. We introduce VietFashion, a new benchmark for sketch-text composed image retrieval centered on the Ao Dai, a traditional Vietnamese garment. VietFashion enables designers and researchers to retrieve culturally meaningful outfits using a combination of hand-drawn sketches, which convey garment structure, and textual descriptions, which encode cultural semantics. The dataset is initialized with 650 sketches and expanded using generative models to produce over 21,000 photorealistic images with aligned captions. Textual prompts that describe detailed outfit attributes, which are extracted from fashion magazines to ensure authenticity and diversity. To better reflect the inherent ambiguity of design intent, VietFashion adopts a multi-target retrieval setting, where a single query may correspond to multiple valid results. We establish standardized evaluation protocols and benchmark state-of-the-art composed image retrieval methods. Experimental results reveal significant performance gaps in modeling fine-grained cultural semantics and multi-modal composition, positioning VietFashion as a challenging benchmark for fine-grained fashion retrieval. Zero-Shot Captioning for Cultural Heritage: Automated Image Analysis of Traditional Indonesian Clothing

This paper presents Custom ZeroCLIP, a retrieval-augmented vision-language framework for zero-shot captioning of Indonesian traditional garments. The dataset contains 3,800 expert-annotated images from all 38 Indonesian provinces. Using a province-level inductive zero-shot protocol, the model is trained on 24 seen provinces, validated on 6 seen provinces, and evaluated on 8 unseen provinces. The framework combines a frozen CLIP ViT-B/32 image encoder, a CLIP text encoder, a BERT text encoder, and an LSTM caption decoder. During inference, unseen-province labels and captions are unavailable, and retrieval uses only captions from training provinces. No unseen-province image, label, or caption is used during training, validation, or retrieval-bank construction. Custom ZeroCLIP achieves a CLIPScore of 0.8536, BLEU-4 of 0.3342, and METEOR of 0.4859, outperforming existing baselines. Ablation results show that retrieval improves cultural vocabulary recovery with a 19.3% METEOR gain, while human evaluation confirms stronger cultural accuracy and fluency. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of retrieval-augmented domain adaptation for culturally grounded caption generation in low-resource heritage settings. HairPort: In-context 3D-aware Hair Import and Transfer for Images

Transferring hairstyles between images is an important but challenging task in computer graphics, computer vision, and visual effects. It enables users to explore new looks without physically altering their hair, with applications in virtual try-on systems, augmented reality, and entertainment. Most prior works operate best under small pose gaps, and they fall short under large viewpoint and scale differences, where missing hair content must be synthesized rather than transferred. We propose HairPort, a 3D-aware hairstyle transfer framework that attempts to solve these issues by explicitly separating hair removal from transfer and enforcing geometric consistency before synthesis. We introduce a Bald Converter, which produces realistic bald versions of faces through LoRA-based in-context adaptation of FLUX.1 Kontext. To train our Bald Converter, we introduce a new dataset, Baldy, containing 6,000 paired bald and original images across diverse identities and conditions. We also use a 3D-Aware Transfer Pipeline that reconstructs and re-renders the reference hairstyle from the target viewpoint before compositing it onto the source image. Being 3D aware, our method supports large pose and scale discrepancies between the source and target. Finally, a conditional flow-matching generator synthesizes the transferred result from the bald source and geometry-aligned reference guidance. Together, our method enables accurate, pose-consistent, and identity-preserving hairstyle transfer, outperforming existing methods both qualitatively and quantitatively.

FitVTON: Fit-aware Virtual Try-On via Body-Garment Size Control

While diffusion-based virtual try-on has achieved impressive visual realism, most methods treat the task as 2D inpainting, prioritizing texture preservation over physical plausibility. Consequently, they often produce plausible-looking images that fail to reflect authentic garment fit across diverse body shapes. We present FitVTON, a Fit-aware virtual try-on model on different bodies in the wild. FitVTON encodes garment-body size through structured text prompts, and learn from simulated try-on triplets from parameterized garment model. To improve the fitting effects over garment silhouettes, we introduce two auxiliary head to predict the masks for both the garment and the exposed body. We further introduce a texture rectification stage to improve realistic appearance from simulated data. To evaluate the fitting fidelity, we curate a real-world dataset, FittingEffect3K, combining VLM-based scoring protocol. Both subjective and quantitive experiments show that FitVTON demonstrate authentic fitting fidelity, with significant sizing accuracy and shape preservation over state-of-the-art methods while maintaining competitive image quality. Learning Instance-Adaptive Low-Rank Orthogonal Subspaces for Clothes-Changing Person Re-Identification

Clothes-changing person re-identification (CC-ReID) aims to recognize individuals despite drastic appearance changes caused by clothing variation. While existing methods rely on adversarial learning to disentangle clothing features, we propose Ortho-ReID, which explicitly models a low-rank clothing subspace from VLM text descriptions and extracts clothing-invariant representations via direct geometric constraints. A critical component is our transformer-based Basis Maker, which refines a shared, low-dimensional clothing prior into an instance-adaptive low-rank subspace through cross-attention with image patches, enabling robust clothing feature extraction even under varying visibility conditions. This instance-adaptive subspace is supervised via alignment with clothing text embeddings, while identity features are extracted via a learnable projection head and geometrically constrained to be strictly orthogonal to it. Extensive experiments demonstrate state-of-the-art performance on PRCC (+5.9% top-1), Celeb-reID-light (+3.5%), and LaST (+5.3%), with competitive results on LTCC.

MOFA-VTON: More Fashion Possibilities with Fine-Grained Adaptations in Virtual Try-On

Virtual try-on aims to fit an in-shop clothing image onto a specific human body. An optimal virtual try-on method should provide diverse and flexible dressing options, accurately reflecting the varied wearing styles encountered in real-life scenarios, tailored to individual preferences and fashion aspirations. However, current methods predominantly perform a direct replacement of the original clothing with the target clothing, following the same dressing pattern. This limited control over clothing adaptation may result in fixed and monotonous try-on outputs. To delve into More Fashion Possibilities with Fine-Grained Adaptations in Virtual Try-On, we propose a novel virtual try-on method, termed MOFA-VTON, which allows adjustment for clothing adaptations in try-on results through simple sketches by users. Specifically, we first design a mask construction strategy that transforms user-drawn curve sketches into a dual-region mask, replacing the traditional clothing-agnostic mask and providing fine-grained layout guidance for the subsequent generation process. Further, we propose layout adjustment blocks that utilize the cross-attention mechanism to independently learn layout correspondences for upper and lower regions of the human body, refining the spatial arrangement of the two regions. With these implementations, our method enables flexible and fine-grained adaptations of target clothing, overcoming the constraints of a fixed layout. Extensive experiments on VITON-HD and DressCode datasets demonstrate that our proposed MOFA-VTON outperforms previous state-of-the-art methods and provides more fashion possibilities for virtual try-on.

OmniTryOn: Video Try-On Anything at Once!

Although video virtual try-on (VVT) has achieved significant progress, existing methods still exhibit two fundamental limitations: first, they are restricted to single-garment transfer, rendering simultaneous multi-object try-on highly impractical; second, their heavy reliance on explicit external priors (e.g., garment masks) inevitably destroys crucial physical dynamics and degrades visual quality. To bridge this gap, this paper proposes the novel Try-On Anything task, which aims to simultaneously transfer diverse wearable objects onto a person in a video in a single inference pass. To support and standardize this paradigm, we introduce TryAny-Bench, a comprehensive benchmark encompassing a paired video dataset alongside a tailored evaluation protocol. Furthermore, we present OmniTryOn, an external-prior-free generative framework designed to tackle this task. Specifically, OmniTryOn employs a First Frame Wearable Cache strategy, which directly provides diverse wearable objects for the generation process through the initial video frame. To maintain consistency, we propose the Spatiotemporally Consistent RoPE (STC-RoPE), which inherently establishes robust spatiotemporal anchors to strictly preserve complex human motions and background dynamics. Optimized by the proposed Gradual Try-On (GTO) training strategy, our model progressively masters robust multi-object synthesis. Extensive experiments on TryAny-Bench demonstrate that OmniTryOn significantly outperforms existing specialized video virtual try-on models and general video editing baselines, establishing a powerful new standard for the Try-On Anything task. AvatarMix: Identity-Preserving Cross-Avatar Composition for Outfit Personalization

Existing 3D avatar outfit transfer methods face distinct challenges: approaches that lift 2D edits to 3D often suffer from outfit or identity quality degradation, while those that separately model body and clothing layers are prone to intersection artifacts. We introduce AvatarMix, a compositional paradigm that bypasses these issues by directly composing the head and body from two high-fidelity Gaussian avatars. While this paradigm inherently preserves outfit quality and avoids intersections, it introduces challenges in creating a seamless join and maintaining appearance fidelity after body reshaping. To this end, we propose a two-tier refinement strategy: SeamFix, a localized diffusion module that refines hair and neck to ensure an artifact-free join, and an optional full-body refinement, FullbodyFix, that restores garment appearance when retargeting degrades the clothed body. Both operate on renders from an already 3D-consistent Gaussian avatar, which limits multi-view artifacts compared to 2D-to-3D lifting. To preserve the user's body identity, our mesh-based Gaussian representation enables the adaptation of a robust mesh retargeting technique, precisely reshaping the clothed body to the user's physique and robustly handling diverse body shapes. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method achieves state-of-the-art results in outfit fidelity and identity preservation, providing a new perspective for realistic 3D outfit personalization. Agentic Language-to-Objective Synthesis for Optofluidic Assembly

Light-based advanced manufacturing increasingly requires programmable, closed-loop tools that translate human design intent into executable operations at small length scales. Yet a key bottleneck persists across robotic and manufacturing modalities: turning user intent into machine-readable objectives that are reliably executable. While micro-robotics offers versatile manipulation via optical actuation of fluids, mathematically tractable goal specification remains manual and hard to reuse. Here, we introduce Speak-to-Objective, a modular agentic pipeline that uses a conditioned Large Language Model (LLM) to translate spoken or written commands into fully differentiable objective functions for assembling microparticles in a constraint-aware inverse solver (SLSQP) and on an experimental optofluidic platform. The approach employs a compact loop - perceive -> compose -> propose -> act -> report & learn - that treats the objective as the interface between intent and actuation, separating what to assemble or pattern from how to actuate, while learning from user feedback. The pipeline composes geometry, spacing, and assignment/topology terms to generate robust descriptive objectives that assemble from partial traces and recover after perturbations, as well as explicit objectives for precise placement, all in an actuator-agnostic fashion. Using laser-induced thermoviscous flows as the physical actuation modality, we demonstrate natural-language-programmable, light-based microscale assembly of particle patterns in a microfluidic environment. Beyond its immediate impact on programmable microassembly, and using laser-induced optofluidic actuation as a reduced-complexity experimental platform, our work points toward self-driving, AI-assisted optical manufacturing platforms in which natural language, differentiable objectives, and laser-based actuation are coupled into a reusable digital workflow.

Garment Particles: A 2D--3D Symmetric Garment Representation for Generation and Editing

Practical garment design spans two modes: intuitive creation from high-level intent, such as a reference image or text description, and complex low-level editing across 2D sewing patterns and 3D draped geometry, which requires professional training to navigate their complex interdependencies. Yet existing frameworks address only part of this challenge, offering either garment generation from casual inputs or direct editing on sewing patterns. To support both ends of the spectrum, we propose Garment Particles, a 5D point-cloud representation that jointly encodes 2D sewing patterns and 3D geometry. This representation enables Garment Particles Flow (GPF), a rectified flow framework that supports intuitive generation from high-level inputs (text, images, sketches) and various editing operations on 2D sewing patterns and 3D geometries via diffusion posterior sampling. Finally, we introduce Particles-to-Pattern Flow that converts generated garment particles into curved-based patterns for simulation. We validate our model's generation ability on multiple datasets, achieving state-of-the-art garment generation results against competitive baselines. Our model also enables many garment editing scenarios, including garment interpolation, sewing pattern editing, point-cloud- and silhouette-conditioned garment generation. AnySurf: Any Surface Generation with Directed Edge

Open surface components prevail in real industrial 3D content and support rendering, physical simulation and geometric editing. Garments serve as a typical open surface type, with numerous existing generation methods leveraging sewing patterns to generate 2D panels and stitch them into 3D shapes. Such domain-specific designs lack scalability and cannot generalize to shoes and accessories. Common field-based 3D generators prioritize watertight meshes and tend to create flawed double-layer structures on open surfaces. Though Trellis2 adopts field-free representation, its open surface results still contain normal and topology errors. We present AnySurf, a unified framework generating open, closed and hybrid 3D surfaces with accurate face orientation. Built on directed-edge enhanced Flexible Dual Grid (FDG-D), our representation retains normal direction information via oriented grid edges. We also propose ROS-FT post-training and a lightweight DE-Adapter with merely 1% extra parameters, facilitating directed edge learning while preserving original generation performance. We further construct Outfit3D dataset containing industrial garments and closed accessories. Our work transforms garment modeling into a universal 3D generation task. FashionLens: Toward Versatile Fashion Image Retrieval via Task-Adaptive Learning

Fashion image retrieval is a cornerstone of modern e-commerce systems. A unified framework that supports diverse query formats and search intentions is highly desired in practice. However, existing approaches focus on narrow retrieval tasks and do not fully capture such diversity. Therefore, in this work, we aim to develop a unified framework capable of handling diverse realistic fashion retrieval scenarios, achieving truly versatile fashion image retrieval. To establish a data foundation, we first introduce U-FIRE, a comprehensive benchmark that consolidates fragmented fashion datasets into a unified collection, supplemented by two manually curated datasets for testing generalization. Building upon this, we propose FashionLens, a unified framework based on Multimodal Large Language Models. To handle divergent matching objectives, we design a Proposal-Guided Spherical Query Calibrator that dynamically shifts query representations into task-aligned metric spaces via adaptive spherical linear interpolation. Additionally, to mitigate the optimization imbalance caused by varying task complexities and data scales, we develop a Gradient-Guided Adaptive Sampling strategy that automatically re-weights tasks based on realtime learning difficulty and the data scale prior. Experiments on U-FIRE show that FashionLens achieves state-of-the-art performance across diverse retrieval scenarios and generalizes robustly to unseen tasks. iTryOn: Mastering Interactive Video Virtual Try-On with Spatial-Semantic Guidance

Video Virtual Try-On (VVT) aims to seamlessly replace a garment on a person in a video with a new one. While existing methods have made significant strides in maintaining temporal consistency, they are predominantly confined to non-interactive scenarios where models merely showcase garments. This limitation overlooks a crucial aspect of real-world apparel presentation: active human-garment interaction. To bridge this gap, we introduce and formalize a new challenging task: Interactive Video Virtual Try-On (Interactive VVT), where subjects in the video actively engage with their clothing. This task introduces unique challenges beyond simple texture preservation, including: (1) resolving the semantic ambiguity of interactions from standard pose information, and (2) learning complex garment deformations from video where interactive moments are sparse and brief. To address these challenges, we propose iTryOn, a novel framework built upon a large-scale video diffusion Transformer. iTryOn pioneers a multi-level interaction injection mechanism to guide the generation of complex dynamics. At the spatial level, we introduce a garment-agnostic 3D hand prior to provide fine-grained guidance for precise hand-garment contact, effectively resolving spatial ambiguity. At the semantic level, iTryOn leverages global captions for overall context and time-stamped action captions for localized interactions, synchronized via our novel Action-aware Rotational Position Embedding (A-RoPE). Extensive experiments demonstrate that iTryOn not only achieves state-of-the-art performance on traditional VVT benchmarks but also establishes a commanding lead in the new interactive setting, marking a significant step towards more dynamic and controllable virtual try-on experiences.

DAMA: Disentangled Body-Anchored Gaussians for Controllable Multi-Layered Avatars

Existing 3D clothed avatar reconstruction methods achieve high visual fidelity but ignore geometric structure and physical plausibility. They either model clothed humans as a single deformable surface or attempt garment disentanglement without enforcing geometric constraints, resulting in ambiguous garment boundaries and no control over stacking or layer ordering. To address these limitations, we introduce DAMA (Disentangled body-Anchored Gaussians for Controllable Multi-layered Avatars), a 3D avatar reconstruction method that produces physically plausible clothed avatars through a dedicated representation and reconstruction method. At the representation level, we bind Gaussians to SMPL-X faces using barycentric in-plane coordinates and a positive normal offset. Based on this parameterization, the reconstruction method lifts 2D segmentations to body-anchored Gaussians, refines layers using topology-guided correction, and jointly optimizes geometry and appearance. DAMA is the first Gaussian avatar reconstruction method from multi-view images to achieve physically plausible layering, clean garment separation, and explicit stacking control. On the full 4D-DRESS dataset (82 scans), it achieves state-of-the-art performance in geometry reconstruction, garment separation, penetration rate, and penetration depth. The representation further supports user-defined garment reordering and fast conversion of body-conforming garments to simulation-ready meshes. Project Page: https://danieleskandar.github.io/dama/

HyperBones: Realtime Bone-driven Neural Garment Simulation with Hypernetwork Conditioning

Recent advances in garment simulation have brought high-quality results closer to real-time performance. Physics-based simulators can produce accurate motion, but remain too computationally expensive for interactive applications. In contrast, linear blend skinning is efficient, but cannot capture the complex dynamics of loose-fitting garments, often leading to unrealistic motion and visual artifacts. Neural methods offer a promising alternative, yet they still struggle to animate loose clothing plausibly under strict runtime constraints. We present a fast and physically plausible approach for dynamic garment simulation. Our method trains a reduced-space neural dynamics simulator composed of independent coarse- and fine-level components. At the coarse level, the garment is driven by a set of virtual bones integrated with a lightweight neural network. Fine-scale wrinkle details are then recovered using a trained convolutional neural map. By decoupling identity-specific computation from real-time neural integration, our architecture maintains high performance while supporting diverse body shapes and motions. We further introduce an effective physics-supervision scheme that enables accurate results without relying on an external simulator. Experiments show that our method produces physically plausible garment dynamics, generalizes across a range of motions and body shapes, and supports a fixed set of garments. Our simulator runs at 300+ FPS on a commodity GPU, making it suitable for real-time applications.

FashionChameleon: Towards Real-Time and Interactive Human-Garment Video Customization

Human-centric video customization, particularly at the garment level, has shown significant commercial value. However, existing approaches cannot support low-latency and interactive garment control, which is crucial for applications such as e-commerce and content creation. This paper studies how to achieve interactive multi-garment video customization while preserving motion coherence using only single-garment video data. We present FashionChameleon, a real-time and interactive framework for human-garment customization in autoregressive video generation, where users can interactively switch garment during generation. FashionChameleon consists of three key techniques: (i) Instead of training on multi-garment video data, we train a Teacher Model with In-Context Learning on a single reference-garment pair. By retaining the image-to-video training paradigm while enforcing a mismatch between the reference and garment image, the model is encouraged to implicitly preserve coherence during single-garment switching. (ii) To achieve consistency and efficiency during generation, we introduce Streaming Distillation with In-Context Learning, which fine-tunes the model with in-context teacher forcing and improves extrapolation consistency via gradient-reweighted distribution matching distillation. (iii) To extend the model for interactive multi-garment video customization, we propose Training-Free KV Cache Rescheduling, which includes garment KV refresh, historical KV withdraw, and reference KV disentangle to achieve garment switching while preserving motion coherence. Our FashionChameleon uniquely supports interactive customization and consistent long-video extrapolation, while achieving real-time generation at 23.8 FPS on a single GPU, 30-180×\times faster than existing baselines.

Toward World Modeling of Physiological Signals with Chaos-Theoretic Balancing and Latent Dynamics

Physiological time series signals reflect complex, multi-scale dynamical processes of the human body. Existing modeling studies focus on static tasks such as classification, event forecasting, or short-horizon next step prediction, while long-horizon signal-level forecasting and predictive nature of physiological signals remain underexplored. We introduce NormWear-2, a world model that encodes both multivariate physiological signals and clinical intervention variables into a shared latent space and models their joint temporal evolution as a dynamical system. Our approach combines inference from prior pre-trained knowledge (intuition) with instant non-parametric latent state transition adaptation (insight), enabling coherent forecasting across multiple temporal scales, conditioned on heterogeneous clinical interventions. During the pretraining phase, we find that chaos-theoretic balancing of dynamical regime diversity yields more robust representations, with a smaller balanced corpus outperforming one twice its size and capturing bifurcation regimes. We evaluate the world model performance across diverse real-world physiological datasets spanning heterogeneous temporal resolutions and intervention regimes, covering daily life, point-of-care, and clinical settings, including fitness planning, hemodialysis, diabetes management, and surgical monitoring. These evaluation datasets comprise records from 8,026 subjects, spanning study durations from 3.2 hours for high-resolution signal data to 2.3 years for longitudinal clinical biomarker tracking. NormWear-2 achieves the best overall forecasting performance across time, frequency, and latent representation domains, with significant improvements over state-of-the-art time series foundation models, while maintaining competitive downstream representation quality, providing a step toward general-purpose world models for physiological signals.

Fashion130K: An E-commerce Fashion Dataset for Outfit Generation with Unified Multi-modal Condition

Recent research work on fashion outfit generation focuses on promoting visual consistency of garments by leveraging key information from reference image and text prompt. However, the potential of outfit generation remains underexplored, requiring comprehensive e-commercial dataset and elaborative utilization of multi-modal condition. In this paper, we propose a brand-new e-commerce dataset, named Fashion130k, with various occasions, models, and garment types. For the consistent generation of garment, we design a framework with Unified Multi-modal Condition (UMC) to align and integrate the text and visual prompts into generation model. Specifically, we explore an embedding refiner to extract the unified embeddings of multi-modal prompts, within which a Fusion Transformer is proposed to align the multi-modal embeddings by adjusting the modality gap between text and image. Based on unified embeddings, the attention in generation model is redesigned to emphasis the correlations between prompts and noise image, inducing that the noise image can select the pivotal tokens of prompts for consistent outfit generation. Our dataset and proposed framework offer a general and nuanced exploration of multi-modal prompts for generation models. Extensive experiments on real-world applications and benchmark demonstrate the effectiveness of UMC in visual consistency, achieving promising result than that of SoTA methods.

Loom: Hybrid Retrieval-Scoring Outfit Recommendation with Semantic Material Compatibility and Occasion-Aware Embedding Priors

We present Loom, an outfit recommendation system that combines neural embedding retrieval with structured domain scoring to generate complete, coherent outfits from fashion catalogs. Given an anchor clothing item, Loom retrieves complementary pieces via slot-constrained approximate nearest neighbor search over FashionCLIP embeddings, then scores candidate outfits using a multi-objective function that integrates six signals: embedding similarity, color harmony, formality consistency, occasion coherence, style direction, and within-outfit diversity. We introduce two techniques that address limitations of purely learned or purely rule-based approaches: (1) semantic material weight, which uses CLIP embedding geometry to infer garment heaviness for layer compatibility without hand-coded material taxonomies; and (2) vibe/anti-vibe occasion priors, which embed prose descriptions of occasion contexts as anchor vectors in CLIP space and score items by differential affinity. Ablation experiments on a catalog of 620 items show that each component contributes measurably to outfit quality: the full system achieves a mean outfit score of 0.179 with a 9.3% hard violation rate, compared to 0.054 score and 16.0% violations for a category-constrained random baseline, a 3.3x improvement in score and 42% reduction in violations. Direction reranking is the single indispensable component: removing it drops score to 0.052, essentially equal to random. The system generates three stylistically distinct outfits in under 5 seconds on commodity hardware.

Anny-Fit: All-Age Human Mesh Recovery

Recovering 3D human pose and shape from a single image remains a cornerstone of human-centric vision, yet most methods assume adult subjects and optimize each person independently. These assumptions fail in real-world, all-age scenes, where body proportions and depth must be resolved jointly. We introduce Anny-Fit, a multi-person, camera-space optimization framework for all-age 3D human mesh recovery (HMR). Unlike existing per-person fitting methods, Anny-Fit jointly optimizes all individuals directly in the camera coordinate system, enforcing global spatial consistency. At the core of our approach is the use of multiple forms of expert knowledge -- including metric depth maps, instance segmentation, 2D keypoints, and, VLM-derived semantic attributes such as age and gender -- each obtained from dedicated off-the-shelf networks. These complementary signals jointly guide the optimization, constraining the depth-scale ambiguity characteristic of all-age scenes. Across diverse datasets, Anny-Fit consistently improves 2D reprojection accuracy (+13 to 16), relative depth ordering (+6 to 7), 3D estimation error (-9 to -29) and shape estimation (+25 to +82), producing more coherent scenes. Finally, we show that VLM-based semantic knowledge can be distilled into an HMR model via the pseudo-ground-truth annotations produced by Anny-Fit on training data, enabling it to learn semantically meaningful shape parameters while improving HMR performance. Our approach bridges adult-only and all-age modeling by enabling zero-shot adaptation of adult-trained HMR pipelines to the full age spectrum without retraining. FEAT: Fashion Editing and Try-On from Any Design

Fashion design aims to express a designer's creative intent and to depict how garments interact with the human body. Recent methods condition on multimodal inputs to support garment editing and virtual try-on. However, existing methods still (i) confine design to garment-related images, excluding creative design sources such as artwork, abstract imagery, and natural photographs, and (ii) cannot support complete outfits, including accessories. We present FEAT (Fashion Editing And Try-On from Any Design), a method that enables editing and try-on across garments and accessories using diverse design sources. To achieve this, we introduce Disentangled Dual Injection (DDI). It takes both apparel and non-apparel design sources and selectively injects design cues via content and style disentanglement. Furthermore, we propose Orthogonal-Guided Noise Fusion (OGNF), a training-free mechanism that removes residual garments via orthogonal projection and applies region-specific noise strategies to enable virtual try-on for both garments and accessories. Extensive experiments demonstrate that FEAT achieves state-of-the-art performance in design flexibility, prompt consistency, and visual realism.

FASH-iCNN: Making Editorial Fashion Identity Inspectable Through Multimodal CNN Probing

Fashion AI systems routinely encode the aesthetic logic of specific houses, editors, and historical moments without disclosing it. We present FASH-iCNN, a multimodal system trained on 87,547 Vogue runway images across 15 fashion houses spanning 1991-2024 that makes this cultural logic inspectable. Given a photograph of a garment, the system recovers which house produced it, which era it belongs to, and which color tradition it reflects. A clothing-only model identifies the fashion house at 78.2% top-1 across 14 houses, the decade at 88.6% top-1, and the specific year at 58.3% top-1 across 34 years with a mean error of just 2.2 years. Probing which visual channels carry this signal reveals a sharp dissociation: removing color costs only 10.6pp of house identity accuracy, while removing texture costs 37.6pp, establishing texture and luminance as the primary carriers of editorial identity. FASH-iCNN treats editorial culture as the signal rather than background noise, identifying which houses, eras, and color traditions shaped each output so that users can see not just what the system predicts but which houses, editors, and historical moments are encoded in that prediction.

Tstars-Tryon 1.0: Robust and Realistic Virtual Try-On for Diverse Fashion Items

Recent advances in image generation and editing have opened new opportunities for virtual try-on. However, existing methods still struggle to meet complex real-world demands. We present Tstars-Tryon 1.0, a commercial-scale virtual try-on system that is robust, realistic, versatile, and highly efficient. First, our system maintains a high success rate across challenging cases like extreme poses, severe illumination variations, motion blur, and other in-the-wild conditions. Second, it delivers highly photorealistic results with fine-grained details, faithfully preserving garment texture, material properties, and structural characteristics, while largely avoiding common AI-generated artifacts. Third, beyond apparel try-on, our model supports flexible multi-image composition (up to 6 reference images) across 8 fashion categories, with coordinated control over person identity and background. Fourth, to overcome the latency bottlenecks of commercial deployment, our system is heavily optimized for inference speed, delivering near real-time generation for a seamless user experience. These capabilities are enabled by an integrated system design spanning end-to-end model architecture, a scalable data engine, robust infrastructure, and a multi-stage training paradigm. Extensive evaluation and large-scale product deployment demonstrate that Tstars-Tryon1.0 achieves leading overall performance. To support future research, we also release a comprehensive benchmark. The model has been deployed at an industrial scale on the Taobao App, serving millions of users with tens of millions of requests.

Dress-ED: Instruction-Guided Editing for Virtual Try-On and Try-Off

Recent advances in Virtual Try-On (VTON) and Virtual Try-Off (VTOFF) have greatly improved photo-realistic fashion synthesis and garment reconstruction. However, existing datasets remain static, lacking instruction-driven editing for controllable and interactive fashion generation. In this work, we introduce the Dress Editing Dataset (Dress-ED), the first large-scale benchmark that unifies VTON, VTOFF, and text-guided garment editing within a single framework. Each sample in Dress-ED includes an in-shop garment image, the corresponding person image wearing the garment, their edited counterparts, and a natural-language instruction of the desired modification. Built through a fully automated multimodal pipeline that integrates MLLM-based garment understanding, diffusion-based editing, and LLM-guided verification, Dress-ED comprises over 146k verified quadruplets spanning three garment categories and seven edit types, including both appearance (e.g., color, pattern, material) and structural (e.g., sleeve length, neckline) modifications. Based on this benchmark, we further propose a unified multimodal diffusion framework that jointly reasons over linguistic instructions and visual garment cues, serving as a strong baseline for instruction-driven VTON and VTOFF. Online Adaptation of Visual Odometry Frontends with Image-Conditioned Reinforcement Learning

Visual odometry (VO) frontends are typically tuned offline by domain experts on pre-recorded datasets and then deployed with fixed hyperparameters. Yet a configuration that performs best on a benchmark is not guaranteed to remain best when texture, illumination, motion blur, sensor noise, or computational conditions change at deployment. We propose a frontend that instead adapts its parameters automatically and continuously. We formulate frontend tuning as a sequential decision-making problem and introduce an image-conditioned reinforcement-learning policy that combines a lightweight embedding of the current image with a compact set of frontend statistics. At each decision step, the policy selects the FAST detection threshold, KLT patch size, and RANSAC rejection threshold; a privileged critic provides additional context only during training. Trained on synthetic TartanAirV2 data, the policy transfers zero-shot to a monocular-inertial OpenVINS pipeline on EuRoC, TUM-VI, and UZH-FPV. On synthetic test sequences, the learned policy improves the tracking-computation trade-off over an optimized static parameter configuration. On the three real-world benchmarks, it reduces mean ATE by up to 8% and runtime by up to 57% relative to static parameters baseline. These results show that image-conditioned online adaptation can improve the accuracy-computation trade-off beyond a single configuration selected offline.
