Exploration Matters for Escaping the Blur Trap in 3D Gaussian Splatting

3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) employs Gaussian primitives for explicit scene representation, facilitating real-time, high-fidelity reconstruction and novel view synthesis of complex scenes. However, the explicit modeling inherent in 3DGS introduces a gradient bias during optimization, rendering its non-convex optimization process highly susceptible to convergence toward local suboptimal solutions. This constitutes a fundamental limitation in 3DGS optimization, which we term the Blur Trap. To address this limitation, we integrate simple explicit exploration into the 3DGS optimization framework. First, through rigorous mathematical analysis of the 3DGS optimization formulation, we identify the underlying optimization bias responsible for the Blur Trap and categorize it into two distinct subtypes: the Far-Side Blur Trap and the Near-Side Blur Trap. Subsequently, we propose two highly straightforward exploration strategies (Random Seeding and Random Splitting) to mitigate the far-side and near-side blur traps, respectively. Experimental validation demonstrates that the incorporation of these exploration operators effectively and complementarily overcome the Blur Trap, achieving high-quality rendering performance across multiple datasets. SPARE-GS: Structural Parsimony and Resource Efficiency for 3D Gaussian Splatting

3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) achieves high-fidelity novel view synthesis in real-time; however its training efficiency and representation compactness are hindered by excessive primitive proliferation. To address this challenge, we formulate the structural evolution of 3DGS as a global budget-constrained optimization problem and derive an optimality condition, which requires the marginal utility of structural resources to be balanced across spatial regions under a finite primitive budget. Based on this formulation, we propose SPARE-GS, a general plug-and-play framework that dynamically aligns the distribution of 3D Gaussian primitives with regional representational demand. SPARE-GS estimates capacity-normalized regional demand, assigns adaptive target quotas, and uses regional budget deviations to coordinate densification, pruning and adaptive termination toward a more balanced structural allocation. Extensive experiments across standard, accelerated, and structure-enhanced 3DGS pipelines demonstrate that SPARE-GS reduces the Gaussian count and training time by an average of 30.38% and 23.81%, respectively, while improving the average PSNR. Moreover, the resulting compact representations reduce downstream processing time and improve the rate-distortion performance of diverse compression and pruning methods, demonstrating the broad applicability of global structural budget regulation.

ImprovedVBGS: Real-time Continual Variational Bayes Gaussian Splatting

On-the-fly reconstruction is a key requirement for many applications in robotics and autonomous navigation. Variational Bayes Gaussian Splatting (VBGS) enables continual learning without replay buffers using Coordinate Ascent Variational Inference (CAVI), but its per-frame iterations over all observed points make it too slow for real-time use with strict memory and latency requirements. We present ImprovedVBGS, an accelerated framework for on-the-fly continual reconstruction. This is achieved primarily through (i) spatially truncated variational inference, and (ii) improved reassignment that uses forwarding, truncation and eliminates wasteful dynamic recompilation. On the NeRF synthetic dataset, we reduce mean per-frame latency from ~84.0 s to ~0.050 s on an RTX 3070 Ti, a 1680x speed-up while maintaining reconstruction quality. We also improve novel-view synthesis quality using an exact renderer with no added training costs.

AsySplat: Efficient Asymmetric 3D Gaussian Splatting for Long-Sequence Scene Modeling

Recent generalizable 3D Gaussian Splatting models have advanced long-sequence novel view synthesis (NVS), but at the cost of substantial redundant computation. We identify that the redundancy can be mitigated based on two observations: (i) high-precision geometry is not strictly required for high-quality NVS; (ii) appearance learning is generally easier than geometry recovery. Motivated by these insights, we propose an asymmetric architecture that decouples geometry and appearance modeling. The geometry branch processes coarse-grained tokens with most of the parameters for multi-view reconstruction, while the appearance branch operates on fine-grained tokens to capture details using significantly fewer parameters. The two branches interact through bilateral connections, enabling mutual guidance for their respective tasks. This task-aware asymmetry reduces the computational redundancy and allocates the computation more judiciously, thereby increasing parameter efficiency and enabling smaller models to achieve strong performance. On 32-view 960P inputs, our model matches optimization-based methods while delivering nearly 800x speedup, and surpasses the zero-shot performance of state-of-the-art generalizable models with markedly fewer parameters and reduced training/inference overhead, achieving an overall efficiency improvement.

On the Design of Mixture-of-Experts for Dynamic Gaussian Splatting

Dynamic scene reconstruction remains challenging due to the heterogeneous and spatially varying nature of real-world motion. Although recent 3D Gaussian Splatting methods have introduced diverse deformation formulations for dynamic novel view synthesis, each method typically relies on a single deformation model within its representation, which limits robustness across diverse dynamic scenarios. In this work, we study a fundamental problem-multi-deformation modeling for dynamic 3D Gaussian representations-under two distinct integration constraints that differ in when and how multiple deformation experts interact during training. From a Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) perspective, we view multi-deformation modeling as the problem of combining multiple specialized deformation models within a unified 3D representation. We first introduce Mixture of Deformation Experts (MoDE), which integrates multiple deformation experts directly into the deformable Gaussian Splatting pipeline through joint optimization. In MoDE, experts operate on a shared canonical Gaussian representation, enabling multi-deformation modeling without introducing additional training stages or modifying the original optimization schedule. In contrast, we further present Mixture of Experts for Dynamic Gaussian Splatting (MoE-GS) under a different integration constraint, where deformation experts are optimized independently and combined through a separate routing stage. As a result, expert interaction occurs over non-canonical Gaussian representations after individual optimization. Together, these two approaches provide alternative strategies for multi-deformation modeling, clarifying how integration constraints shape the design and behavior of deformation experts in dynamic 3D Gaussian representations. GeoGS-SLAM: Geometry-Only Gaussian Splatting for Dense Monocular SLAM

Dense visual SLAM is a fundamental problem in robotics. Recent advances in 3DGS have demonstrated its potential for dense SLAM. Existing 3DGS frameworks focus on both appearance and geometry modeling. However, scene geometry is typically more critical for SLAM than novel view synthesis because downstream robotic tasks, such as navigation and obstacle avoidance, rely primarily on accurate spatial geometry rather than photorealistic rendering. This observation raises a natural question: Is it feasible for 3DGS to perform 3D reconstruction without scene appearance modeling? Motivated by this, we propose Geometry-only Gaussian Splatting (GeoGS), which directly reconstructs scene geometry, and further present GeoGS-SLAM, a dense visual SLAM system built upon this representation. Specifically, GeoGS retains only spatial parameters to reduce the number of per-primitive parameters by over 80%. In contrast to existing 3DGS methods, GeoGS focuses solely on geometric reconstruction, which significantly reduces the number of Gaussian primitives, accelerates geometric convergence, and enhances robustness to illumination variations. In addition, we present an effective training framework that optimizes the Gaussian primitives via single-view and multi-view geometric and photometric supervision, and speeds up geometry convergence with a local-plane driven initialization that better aligns primitives with local structures. Furthermore, we introduce a map update strategy for loop closure that globally transforms the Gaussian map to align it with the corrected pose estimates, thereby preventing map tearing caused by inconsistent per-viewpoint pose corrections in existing methods. Extensive experiments on synthetic and real-world benchmarks demonstrate that our method outperforms SOTA methods in terms of online mapping efficiency and geometric reconstruction quality.

The SoccerNet 2026 Challenges constitute the sixth annual edition of the SoccerNet open benchmarking effort, dedicated to advancing computer vision research in sports video understanding. This year's challenges span five vision-based tasks: (1) Ball Action Anticipation, predicting the timing and class of ball-related actions within a short future window from a preceding observation window; (2) Player-Centric Ball Action Spotting, temporally localizing and classifying ball-related actions while assigning each action to the acting player through team affiliation and jersey number; (3) Novel View Synthesis, rendering images from unobserved camera poses in multi-view football scenes; (4) Spiideo SoccerNet Synloc, localizing athletes in real-world pitch coordinates from a single calibrated static-camera image; and (5) Visual Question Answering, answering multiple-choice questions about football broadcasts across text, image, and video inputs. For each task, participants were provided with annotated data, a unified evaluation protocol, and a public baseline. This edition saw broad participation, with 427 teams submitting 1,129 entries across the five tasks and 28 teams contributing reviewed technical reports. This paper describes each task and its evaluation protocol, presents the challenge leaderboards, and summarizes the leading submissions, with the aim of documenting the current state of each task as measured on held-out challenge data.

Rendering-Aware Bayesian 3D Gaussian Splatting with Native Uncertainty and Adaptive Complexity Control

3D Gaussian splatting (3DGS) is a strong representation for real-time novel-view synthesis, but its standard training pipeline relies on point estimates and hand-tuned heuristics, providing no native uncertainty or principled complexity control. This is most limiting under sparse views or fixed acquisition budgets, where a model must identify weakly supported geometry and select informative views. We introduce a rendering-aware Bayesian 3DGS framework that tracks Gaussian geometry with a Normal-Inverse-Wishart posterior over means and covariances using renderer-derived surrogate summaries. An optional Dirichlet-process extension adds a probabilistic component-usage signal, and the training schedule makes the closed-form versus approximate inference boundary explicit. Re-rendering posterior geometry samples yields native predictive uncertainty for interval calibration and active view selection. In a fixed-budget 16-to-32 active-view task, native NIW acquisition improves PSNR by +0.453 dB and LPIPS by -0.0146 over a scoring-only 3-member standard-ensemble baseline, winning 29/39 scene-seed pairs and 10/13 scene means; it also improves over PPU-style (+0.355 dB) and NIW-proxy (+0.401 dB) acquisition. NIW native intervals reduce 95% coverage error by about 17x relative to a shared proxy (0.046 vs. 0.796) and are about 10x closer to nominal coverage than a 3-member deep ensemble (0.047 vs. 0.454) at roughly one-third the training cost. As a reconstruction compatibility check, paired NIW-vs-standard analysis over 39 scene-seed runs yields +0.030 dB PSNR with 1.6% additional training time. These results position Bayesian 3DGS as a practical probabilistic scene representation for decision-facing tasks such as active view selection.

Provable Pruning for Efficient 3D Gaussian Splatting via Coresets

3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) enables high-quality real-time novel-view synthesis, but practical scenes often contain millions of Gaussians, making compression essential for deployment on limited hardware. Existing reduction methods are effective but mostly heuristic: they provide no multiplicative approximation guarantee for the rendered objective, and thus rely heavily on costly post-pruning finetuning to recover quality. We ask a basic question: can a 3DGS scene be provably replaced by a much smaller weighted subset (coreset) while preserving the objective of interest? We first show that, in the unrestricted setting, no non-trivial multiplicative 3DGS coreset exists. We then show that multiplicative guarantees are not impossible, but resolution-dependent. For a prescribed rendering resolution, such as representative views or grids of views/rays, we provide the first weighted coreset construction theorem for 3DGS. The construction samples Gaussians by sensitivity: provable importance scores measuring each Gaussian's role in the full-scene objective. Finally, under explicit validity and log-transmittance stability assumptions, we turn this objective guarantee into a rendering guarantee. Empirically, our method is strongest where deployment needs it most: aggressive compression with no or minimal recovery compute. In prune-only and very short finetuning regimes, it achieves state-of-the-art performance, showing that principled importance estimation can be both theoretically meaningful and practically useful. Bridging 3D Gaussians and Semantic Occupancy for Comprehensive Open-Vocabulary Scene Understanding from Unposed Images

Comprehensive 3D scene understanding from sparse, unposed images requires a model to recover renderable geometry, open-vocabulary semantics, and free/occupied 3D space without relying on external camera calibration. Recent feed-forward Gaussian methods improve pose-free reconstruction and semantic rendering, but their Gaussian primitives are mainly optimized through image-space objectives and remain weakly constrained in unobserved regions. We propose \textit{COVScene}, a pose-free semantic Gaussian framework that couples renderable Gaussian primitives with a dense semantic occupancy field through differentiable volumetric lifting. Instead of converting Gaussians to voxels only at evaluation time, COVScene lifts the predicted semantic Gaussians inside the training computation graph, so volumetric regularization provides gradients to Gaussian opacity, geometry, and semantic features. The framework combines a semantic-aware Geometry Transformer, multi-task Gaussian decoding, geometric foundation distillation, and occupancy entropy regularization to support novel view synthesis, open-vocabulary semantic querying, and semantic occupancy prediction within a single representation. Experiments on ScanNet and ScanNet++ show that COVScene maintains competitive rendering quality, improves open-vocabulary segmentation, and achieves stronger semantic occupancy prediction than the self-supervised baseline without direct voxel-level supervision.

MVFusion-GS: Motion-Variance Guided Temporal Attention for High-Quality Dynamic Gaussian Splatting

3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) enables real-time novel view synthesis for static scenes. Extending it to dynamic scenes via deformation fields has recently attracted significant attention, particularly for dynamic scene reconstructionband distractor-free. However, existing deformation networks lack explicit motion awareness: they neither capture long-term motion intensity nor exploit short-term temporal coherence, leading to inaccurate foreground deformation and pseudo-static residuals in the background. We present MVFusion-GS, a method that enhances deformation networks with two complementary motion-aware mechanisms. The Motion-Variance Guided Refinement aggregates per-Gaussian deformation statistics across time to estimate motion variance and uses it to guide dynamic-static separation during deformation prediction. The MotionFormer Temporal Attention module applies Transformer self-attention over neighboring timesteps to model local motion dependencies and improve temporal consistency. Extensive experiments on both dynamic scene reconstruction and distractor-free reconstruction benchmarks demonstrate state-of-the-art performance, showing that explicit motion awareness improves both foreground motion modeling and static background reconstruction.

World from Motion: Generative Dynamic Gaussian Reconstruction from Monocular Video

We present World from Motion, a method for generating freely renderable dynamic 3D Gaussian representations from monocular videos. Our approach conditions a video model on dense, pixel-aligned renderings that encode appearance, geometry, and 3D scene motion along both input and target camera trajectories to correct rendering artifacts and fill in missing regions from an initial reconstruction. To train this model, we construct a dataset of aligned multiview video pairs and dynamic 3DGS representations, with simulated artifacts characteristic of monocular reconstruction. At test time, we distill the model's generations, including newly observed regions and motions, back into a single consistent, high-quality dynamic 3DGS, improving both novel-view synthesis and the underlying 3D motion. Our method sets a new state of the art in 4D reconstruction and seamlessly generalizes to in-the-wild videos with large viewpoint changes and dynamic motions.

Pano2World: End-to-End 3D Generation via Unified Multi-View Sequences

A single panorama captures the full visual sphere from one camera center, yet confines users to looking around in place without enabling true scene exploration. Converting a single panorama into a persistent, renderable 3D representation for free-viewpoint navigation has attracted growing interest; existing methods either adopt iterative per-view completion that propagates inpainting results to update the underlying geometry, leading to progressive error accumulation and cumbersome multi-step pipelines, or leverage the temporal consistency priors of video generation models, yet the continuous-trajectory constraint intrinsic to such models limits their flexibility in covering scenes from multiple directions simultaneously. We present Pano2World, which takes a single indoor panorama as input and directly outputs a persistent, explorable 3D Gaussian scene. Given the source panorama, Pano2World first reconstructs a coarse 3D Gaussian proxy and renders it at adaptively sampled nearby poses to obtain geometrically aligned guidance panoramas; a panoramic diffusion model then jointly denoises all target views via View-Aware Attention Routing, where each target view simultaneously receives geometric constraints from its corresponding guidance panorama and global semantic guidance from the source panorama, naturally enforcing cross-view consistency. To avoid the information loss incurred by decoding the multi-view hidden features formed during joint denoising back to the pixel domain via VAE, we introduce Latent Feature Adapter, a geometry-aware bridge module that directly distills these hidden features into a scene latent, subsequently decoded into the final 3D Gaussian scene. Experiments demonstrate that Pano2World significantly outperforms existing methods on the multi-position panoramic novel-view synthesis benchmark.

Monte Carlo Energy Aggregation for Mobile 3D Gaussian Splatting

Recent advances in 3D Gaussian Splatting have demonstrated unprecedented success in novel view synthesis. However, the substantial inference and storage overhead driven by high-order Spherical Harmonics (SH) are primary bottlenecks for mobile platforms. In this paper, we present Flux-GS, a real-time Gaussian Splatting method designed to achieve high-fidelity rendering with significantly reduced overhead for resource-constrained mobile platforms. We first propose a Monte Carlo Specular Energy Aggregator, sampling third-order radiance residuals and aggregating specular energy into a compact latent space. In this way, our method effectively preserves visually salient lighting features in lower-order bands without expensive distillation or pre-training. To mitigate the high-frequency details lost during compression, we introduce an Attribute-Conditioned SH Enhancement module. This module predicts Gaussian-aware offsets based on intrinsic Gaussian attributes, which enhance the first-order SH representation prior to inference, without extra inference costs. Furthermore, the original single-view gradient-based densification is prone to producing excessive Gaussians and overfitting to a certain view. We address these limitations by proposing a Multi-view Alpha-based Densification and Pruning strategy. By leveraging multi-view guidance, we ensure multi-view structure consistency and the precise removal of redundant primitives. Extensive experiments demonstrate that Flux-GS achieves substantial parameter reduction while maintaining competitive visual quality, offering a robust and scalable solution for real-time mobile rendering. Shell-Supervised Gaussian Splatting for Urban Real-to-Sim Reconstruction

Real-to-sim reconstruction for embodied AI requires geometry that is useful for collision reasoning, navigation, and agent-environment interaction, not only photorealistic novel-view synthesis. However, close-range urban facades are difficult for video-to-3D reconstruction: glass, reflections, repeated windows, and weak texture can produce visually plausible renderings with unstable surface geometry. We introduce shell-supervised Gaussian Splatting, a reconstruction-stage framework that uses an external facade structural shell as lightweight geometric supervision for video-driven Gaussian reconstruction. The method aligns an exterior shell to the video reconstruction frame, renders per-view depth, camera-space normal, and valid-mask maps, and applies these cues through mask-gated losses during Gaussian optimization. This design preserves RGB-driven appearance while regularizing only visible shell-supported facade regions. Experiments on anonymized close-range urban facade scenes show improved facade orientation and visible-surface point-cloud consistency over photo-only, monocular-cue, and surface-oriented Gaussian baselines, while maintaining comparable held-out rendering quality.

Learning Efficient 4D Gaussian Representations from Monocular Videos with Flow Splatting

Reconstructing dynamic 3D scenes from monocular videos is challenging due to scene complexity and temporal dynamics. With the advancement of 3D Gaussian Splatting in novel view synthesis, existing methods extend 3D Gaussians to 4D domain with deformation fields, trajectories or spatiotemporal 4D volumes to model scene element deformation. However, these methods suffer from long training time, low rendering speed or high memory consumption for per-frame reconstruction of 4D volumes, without fully exploiting dense dynamic information. To address this issue, we propose Flow Splatting, which constructs the velocity field and enables the conventional splatting technique to render optical flow from the velocity field to supervise dynamics learning process from monocular videos. Specifically, we extend 4D volumes with time varying means and covariance to represent complex dynamics. Then, we construct and approximate the velocity field naturally based on this representations. While conventional volume rendering techniques support to render color fields, we extend the volume rendering strategy to splat the velocity field by considering the influence of camera motions. We conduct experiments on various benchmarks to demonstrate the efficiency and effectiveness of our method. Compared to the state-of-the-art methods, our model achieves better image quality with less time consumption and higher rendering speed.

Scenes as Objects, Not Primitives: Instance-Structured 3D Tokenization from Unposed Views

A 3D scene is understood through its objects, not the primitives that compose them. Yet feed-forward reconstruction methods output dense, unstructured sets of points or Gaussians, leaving object-level structure to be recovered after the fact. We propose a feed-forward framework that decomposes a scene into instance-structured 3D token groups directly from unposed multi-view images -- compact object-centric units from which reconstruction, segmentation, and manipulation all follow. Each token group pairs an instance token capturing entity-level identity with anchor tokens that encode local geometry and appearance, which are decoded into a set of 3D Gaussians. This two-level factorization decouples object identity from local appearance, making object instances a native interface of the representation rather than a derived product. The token groups are learned through differentiable rendering with joint reconstruction and segmentation supervision, requiring no 3D annotations. Our feed-forward model surpasses per-scene optimization baselines in class-agnostic instance segmentation while remaining competitive in novel view synthesis. Beyond these metrics, the same token groups directly unlock instance-level scene editing -- removing, translating, or inserting objects by operating on their groups -- as well as efficient open-vocabulary 3D instance retrieval, where retrieval complexity scales with the number of instances rather than primitives.

Rectifying Mask via Entropy for Distractor-Free 3DGS in Ambiguous Scenarios

We present RefineSplat, a systematic framework that effectively constructs transient masks to identify diverse ambiguous distractors. To do this, we qualitatively and quantitatively analyze issues and propose a novel entropy-aware adaptive masking method. Unlike existing approaches that struggle to distinguish transient elements from static scenes due to color or semantic ambiguity, RefineSplat captures ambiguous distractors leveraging entropy and instance masks. Furthermore, we propose a simple yet effective entropy-aware density control to align Gaussians in ambiguous scenarios considering Entropy-aware positional gradients. Additionally, to rigorously validate our method, we first create and release the Ambiguous wild dataset, including 18 scenes where distractors and static scenes are hard to distinguish due to color or semantic resemblances. Experimental results on various datasets demonstrate that RefineSplat shows state-of-the-art performance, showing distractor-free novel view synthesis.

Occlusion-Robust Multi-Object Decoupling for Physics-Based Robotic Interaction

We propose a mask-free method for lossless multi-object 3D reconstruction from sparse and occluded real-world views, enabling physically plausible robotic interaction via Material Point Method (MPM) simulation. Our key insight is that object coupling stems from occlusion and limited viewpoints, which we address by formulating multi-object decoupling as a sparse-view reconstruction problem. Using 3D Gaussian Splatting as base representation, we first obtain coarse instance partitions with a SAM2-trained segmentation field. Rather than relying on masks, we reconstruct fragmented geometries by leveraging a joint Score Distillation Sampling (SDS) process, which integrates reference-view supervision with novel-view synthesis guided by 2D and 3D diffusion priors to enforce both texture fidelity and 3D consistency. Furthermore, we incorporate geometry-aware priors such as intra-object and inter-object similarity to regularize geometric reasoning. Experimental results demonstrate that our method produces complete, simulation-ready 3D objects without requiring manual masks, enabling realistic dynamic interactions on both synthetic, robotic and real-world datasets.

Ground4D: Consistency-Aware 4D Reconstruction from Monocular Video

Learning a 4D scene representation from a single monocular video that supports dynamic novel-view synthesis while maintaining faithful geometry over time remains challenging. Dynamic Gaussian Splatting achieves strong rendering performance through photometric optimization, yet does not explicitly enforce multi-view geometric consistency. In contrast, 3D foundation models recover coherent scene geometry and camera motion, but their point-based outputs are not designed for photorealistic rendering. We propose Ground4D, a geometry-grounded framework built on two stages. First, we perform geometry initialization via 3D foundation models, leveraging VGGT in a training-free manner to reconstruct multi-view-consistent 3D geometry and camera poses from monocular video. The recovered geometry provides a structured and reliable initialization for dynamic Gaussian representations. Second, we conduct geometry-consistency-aware refinement via dynamic Gaussian Splatting, optimizing the representation through differentiable rendering while maintaining multi-view geometric consistency across both observed and synthesized viewpoints. Furthermore, Ground4D inherently models the continuous 4D dynamics of the scene, naturally supporting rendering at arbitrary timestamps. By integrating foundation-level geometric priors into dynamic Gaussian optimization, Ground4D achieves stronger reconstruction fidelity and rendering performance, underscoring the role of geometry-grounded constraints in robust 4D scene modeling.

RefGlass-GS: A UAV-Enabled Fusion Framework for Photorealistic, Semantic and Interactive Digitization of Reflective Glass Facades via Gaussian Splatting

Existing digitization of buildings with reflective glass facades suffers from geometric reconstruction distortion, unrealistic view-dependent texture rendering, and difficulties in object-based semantic enhancement. Therefore, we propose RefGlass-GS, a fusion framework that enables end-to-end UAV-based photorealistic, semantic, and interactive digitization of reflective glass facades. The contributions include: (1) proposing an individual glass panel segmentation method based on maximum a posteriori estimation with structural regularities, robust to severe reflection and background interference; (2) formulating a UAV viewpoint planning optimization function that maximizes the coverage of view-dependent appearance for sufficient data capture; (3) developing an optimized Gaussian Splatting framework with a Reflection MLP, a novel deferred shading function, and two enhanced regularization terms for effective modeling of high-frequency near-field reflections; (4) introducing a standardized data organization paradigm for structuring GS-based representations into object-based models, facilitating interactive facility management on digital twin platforms. Experiments on real-world reflective glass facade scenes validate the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed method. Specifically, the glass panel segmentation achieves an improvement of 0.1927 in mIoU over SOTA methods, and only our method enables instance-level panel extraction. The UAV view planning improves novel view synthesis for reflective facades by 13.15 dB in PSNR compared to commercially used nap-of-the-object planning methods. The RefGlass-GS modeling outperforms SOTA Gaussian Splatting approaches for reflective scenes with an average improvement of 5.08 dB in PSNR.

Perceptual 3D Simulation With Physical World Modeling

Predicting how a scene will evolve after a desired 3D transformation from images is a central goal in vision, graphics, and robotics. Yet unlike ideal simulators with full access to 3D geometry and dynamics, real world systems must rely on perceptual inputs and local actions that are inherently partial and incomplete. In this work, we present P3Sim, a physical world modeling system that simulates future scene states under both partial observations and incomplete 3D transformation signals. P3Sim is composed of three interacting components: a learned physical world model, a geometric conditioning module, and a persistent scene memory. The world model interprets perception as probabilistic inference over multimodal scene variables, providing predictions of the distributions of any scene variable conditioned on any combination of others. The geometric conditioning module provides a partial 3D transform signal for conditioning the world model at inference time. The persistent scene memory integrates predictions over time, enabling online updates and consistency under uncertainty. By combining learned inference with explicit geometric structure, P3Sim balances data-driven flexibility with built-in inductive bias. This design yields a flexible perceptual simulator that generalizes across diverse 3D transformation tasks, such as novel view synthesis, object manipulation, and dynamic scene prediction, advancing toward general purpose 3D scene understanding and transformation.

Boosting Text-Driven Video Segmentation via Geometry-Aware Distillation

Text-driven Referring Video Object Segmentation (RVOS) aims to locate and segment target objects in videos given natural language. However, existing models are typically trained on 2D image or video datasets with naive segmentation losses, which overlooks the geometric consistency across frames and leads to weak spatial understanding. In this paper, we propose Geometry-enhanced Language-guided Video segmentation (GeoLaV), a two-stage framework that distills 3D geometric knowledge from images to enhance text-driven video segmentation. In the first stage, we perform monocular geometry pretraining with monocular novel-view synthesis, enabling the model to acquire geometry-consistent visual representations via spatial alignment on large-scale single-image datasets. In the second stage, we introduce geometry-aware distillation and fine-tune the model on video segmentation datasets, transferring 3D structural knowledge from a general 3D prior model. This process reinforces 3D awareness and improves both spatiotemporal coherence and language grounding in segmentation. Extensive experiments show that our method using only image segmentation data already provides notable zero-shot generalization in RVOS. When combined with geometry-aware distillation for fine-tuning on videos, our method achieves state-of-the-art performance across multiple RVOS benchmarks. ACEsplat: Accelerated 3D Gaussian Scene Regression via RGB and Poses Only

Per-scene 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) enables high-fidelity rendering, but practical robotic and AR scene capture pipelines often depend on external geometric initialization (e.g., SfM point clouds or depth estimates), which can be slow and brittle in on-site deployment. We present ACEsplat, a fast per-scene optimization framework that reconstructs 3D Gaussian representations from RGB images and camera poses only, without requiring external 3D priors (e.g., precomputed SfM models or supervised depth maps). ACEsplat uses a two-stage pipeline: (1) a self-supervised scene coordinate regression (SCR) module builds an internal geometry prior within 4--5 minutes; (2) SCR features and coordinate priors are fused by a lightweight Gaussian initialization head, followed by per-scene 3DGS optimization. On static-view rendering, ACEsplat achieves 29.11 dB PSNR on Wayspots with real-time SLAM poses and 33.20 dB on Cambridge Landmarks with SfM-refined poses. On RealEstate10K sparse-view novel view synthesis, it achieves competitive image fidelity under a challenging 2-view setting. ACEsplat completes scene-specific SCR mapping and 3DGS reconstruction within 15--25 minutes on a single GPU, making it a practical RGB+pose-only solution for rapid scene setup in robotics and mixed-reality applications.

ACE-GS: Acing the Trade-off with Accurate, Compact and Efficient 3D Gaussian Splatting

3D Gaussian Splatting achieves exceptional real-time rendering, but its substantial computational and storage demands hinder widespread deployment. Existing accelerated paradigms often aggressively prune primitives for rapid convergence, causing severe loss of high-frequency details. To address this, we tackle the fundamental problem of achieving both exceptional rendering quality and ultra-fast reconstruction speed. In this paper, we propose ACE-GS, a progressive optimization framework tailored for accurate, compressed, and efficient scene representation. We realize that precise primitive management is the key to breaking this trade-off. Therefore, we first design a momentum consistency-guided densification strategy, strictly constraining primitive growth onto authentic geometric manifolds to avoid computational waste while significantly accelerating convergence. Building upon this efficient initialization, we deploy a statistical sensitivity-driven sparsification mechanism to precisely prune redundant primitives, yielding a further compressed footprint. Finally, to thoroughly compensate for the risk of micro-structure loss caused by the aforementioned strict primitive control, we introduce a cross-dimensional residual frequency compensation scheme that explicitly back-injects high-frequency error energy into primitive attributes, perfectly restoring sharp geometric details. Extensive experiments validate our superiority. While maintaining a highly compact scene representation, our system achieves up to 3.7 times training acceleration against the rapid framework Speedy-Splat. Requiring only 3 to 5 minutes to converge, ACE-GS secures the highest structural similarity and achieves a peak PSNR improvement of up to 0.89 dB over the original 3DGS, establishing a new benchmark for ultra-fast and high-fidelity novel view synthesis.

Geometry-Preserving in 3D Gaussian Splatting for LiDAR-Camera Extrinsic Calibration

Accurate LiDAR-camera calibration is essential for robust multi-modal perception. Targetless approaches avoid manual setup but remain limited by the scarcity of discriminative cross-modal features. Recent methods address this by reconstructing the scene within a differentiable model, enabling extrinsic optimization through dense photometric supervision. Among these, 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) has been widely adopted as a geometric proxy that bridges LiDAR and camera within a single differentiable framework. However, since 3DGS was originally designed for novel view synthesis, existing methods tend to prioritize rendering quality, causing the proxy geometry to drift from the true LiDAR structure. We propose a framework that preserves the metric geometry of the Gaussian proxy by aggregating multi-view LiDAR observations for dense depth supervision and blocking photometric gradients from updating the Gaussian spatial parameters. We validate our method on public driving datasets, where it consistently outperforms existing targetless methods in calibration accuracy.

MMD-SLAM: Structure-Enhanced Multi-Meta Gaussian Distribution-Guided Visual SLAM

3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) has significantly boosted novel view synthesis and high-fidelity scene reconstruction, expanding the potential of 3DGS-based Visual Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) methods. However, most existing systems fail to fully exploit the underlying structural information, which limits rendering quality and often leads to inconsistent maps. To address these limitations, we propose MMD-SLAM, a structure-enhanced Visual SLAM framework that leverages the Atlanta World (AW) assumption to guide a Multi-Meta Gaussian representation for photorealistic mapping. First, we introduce a point-line fusion strategy for pose optimization, where 3D line segments are incorporated to improve tracking robustness and provide additional constraints for mapping. Second, we design a Multi-Meta Gaussian representation with dominant directions, explicitly encoding structural priors from the AW hypothesis. Finally, we propose a Gaussian evolution strategy that adapts to scene geometry and incorporates structural cues into global optimization. Extensive experiments demonstrate that these innovations enable MMD-SLAM to achieve state-of-the-art performance in both tracking accuracy and mapping quality. e.g., our method achieves a 48.56% reduction in ATE RMSE on ScanNet and a 5.71% improvement in PSNR on Replica, compared with MonoGS.

Local-GS: Accelerating 3D Gaussian Splatting via Tile-Local Warp Coherence

3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) has significantly advanced real-time novel view synthesis by representing scenes as dense collections of anisotropic 3D Gaussian primitives. However, the irregular spatial distribution of Gaussians often leads to poor GPU utilization, as warp divergence and redundant computation degrade rendering performance. To address this, we present Local-GS, a warp-coherent rendering paradigm that, organizes Gaussian primitives with respect to SIMT (Single Instruction, Multiple Threads) execution boundaries rather than scene geometry. Specifically, we propose three warp-coherent stages: a hoisting stage that precomputes shared parameters at tile level, a culling stage that discards warps with no contribution, and a blending stage that replaces per-pixel branching with a uniform instruction stream. Across extensive benchmarks on multiple datasets, Local-GS improves efficiency without compromising quality. As a plug-and-play optimization, it provides additional performance gains to all tested baselines, culminating in a 7.76×7.76\times speedup on Deep Blending scenes.

Scene-Adaptive Nonlinear Tone Curves for Pseudo Ground-Truth Generation in Low-Light 3D Gaussian Splatting

Low-light novel view synthesis is challenging because dark multi-view images contain noise, weak structural detail, and compressed dynamic range. Recent 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) methods address these challenges by generating pseudo ground-truth (pseudo-GT) images as supervision targets when paired normal-light references are unavailable. Existing pseudo-GT methods apply a uniform linear gain to all pixels, which clips bright regions while providing insufficient enhancement in dark regions, limiting reconstruction quality. We observe that nonlinear tone mappings, long established in 2D low-light enhancement, have not been explored for pseudo-GT generation in 3D reconstruction. Accordingly, we propose a scene-adaptive nonlinear tone-curve framework that replaces linear pseudo-GT with nonlinear alternatives. The framework introduces percentile-based normalisation for scene-agnostic curve application, a scene-adaptive offset for automatic black-level adjustment, and two complementary curves: Adaptive SoftExp (ASE), a bounded exponential curve, and Adaptive Poly3 (AP3), a data-driven cubic polynomial. The module changes only the pseudo-GT computation and leaves the 3DGS backbone unchanged. Experiments on three benchmarks covering 21 scenes show that both curves consistently outperform the linear baseline with PSNR improvements up to +4.34 dB on LOM and +3.25 dB on RealX3D. Both curves achieve similar performance despite their different mathematical forms, suggesting the improvement is curve-agnostic. Code is available at https://github.com/lvmingzhe/adaptiveToneCurve

XPR: An Extensible Cross-Platform Point-Based Differentiable Renderer

Point-based differentiable rendering underpins modern 3D reconstruction, novel-view synthesis, and learning-based graphics pipelines, but developing new rendering methods often requires extensive low-level implementation, hardware-specific kernels, and manually written backward passes. This limits rapid prototyping, reproducibility, exploration, and deployment, especially across diverse hardware platforms. This paper presents XPR, an extensible cross-platform framework for point-based differentiable rendering. XPR introduces a high-level programming interface that separates method-specific logic from the shared rendering pipeline, allowing users to implement new methods in a few lines of code. Its pipeline decomposes rendering into modular, statically shaped parallel operations that can be lowered by a cross-platform compiler to GPUs, TPUs, CPUs, and other ML accelerators. We demonstrate implementations of 3DGS, 3DGUT, and LinPrim, with only a few 100s lines of Python code, each of which can be compiled to a range of hardware platforms with the XLA compiler. These results show that XPR enables fast experimentation and portable execution for emerging point-based differentiable rendering systems.
