CitySTAR: Structured and Topology-Aware Reasoning for Open-Vocabulary Urban 3D Grounding

3D grounding aims to localize target entities in complex scenes from natural language and plays a fundamental role in embodied perception and spatial reasoning. However, existing approaches mostly rely on feature similarity or direct matching, making it difficult to connect natural-language intent with the implicit semantic and geometric structures hidden in billion-scale urban point clouds. We reformulate city-scale 3D grounding as structured constraint reasoning, where description semantics are organized into computable cross-modal constraints over open-vocabulary 3D entities, attributes, and spatial relations. We present CitySTAR, a training-free framework for reasoning-driven urban 3D grounding. CitySTAR lifts raw billion-scale urban point clouds into a query-ready scene graph of open-vocabulary 3D instances, with CodeLLM-driven tools supplying multimodal evidence for node attributes and 3D spatial relations. It then models target-context topology with paired hypergraphs and performs bidirectional topology verification for structural disambiguation. Finally, a Reflective Cross-modal Grounding module integrates topology consistency and candidate-centered 2D visual evidence to make decisions over a metric-aware 3D context graph. To further support this setting, we introduce CitySTAR-3D, an enhanced benchmark that improves semantic coverage, instance completeness, bounding-box fidelity, and spatial-relation complexity in city-scale 3D grounding. Extensive experiments show that CitySTAR consistently improves open-world urban 3D grounding while maintaining strong interpretability and generalization.

TADreamer: Zero-Shot Language-Guided 3D Navigation for Terrestrial-Aerial Bimodal Robots via Video Imagination

Language-guided navigation for terrestrial-aerial bimodal robots requires selecting routes and locomotion modes that match scene context and task intent. Generated videos can represent such motion sequences, but recovering metrically consistent navigation references from them is challenging because of scale ambiguity and axis-dependent geometric distortions. We present TADreamer, a zero-shot framework that grounds video-imagined navigation in measured geometry without task-specific training or fine-tuning. A vision-language model translates onboard observations and instructions into navigation prompts, selects valid generated videos, and provides corrective feedback when regeneration is needed. The selected video is reconstructed into 3D waypoints annotated with terrestrial or aerial modes. A two-stage calibration procedure uses field-of-view constraints to initialize scale estimation, then refines axis-dependent scales, rotation, and translation by registering the reconstructed point cloud to measured geometry. The calibrated waypoints and mode labels guide a planner that incorporates measured geometry for robot execution. Real-world experiments demonstrate navigation across seven indoor and outdoor scenarios. With five candidates per round, usable videos are obtained within two rounds in all seven scenarios. On the calibration observations, our method reduces mean absolute depth error by 87.7% and mean absolute relative depth error by 86.3% compared with NavDreamer.

SeqAlign3DVG: A Sequence-Aligned Benchmark and Voxel Reasoning Framework for 3D Visual Grounding

Image-based 3D visual grounding is critical for embodied agents, yet existing benchmarks suffer from loose text-observation alignment and neglect temporal ordering. We introduce SeqAlign3DVG, a novel benchmark dedicated to temporally ordered and strictly observation-aligned image-based 3D visual grounding. Unlike prior works using order-agnostic views or global point clouds, SeqAlign3DVG ensures all expressions are human-verified and strictly grounded in the provided RGB observations (single frames or ordered observation sequences). It comprises 9,622 single-view and 14,493 sequence samples featuring rich descriptions, complex relations, and multi-instance ambiguities. To tackle this benchmark, we propose a unified voxel-based pipeline featuring Relevance-Ordered Voxel Memory (ROVM) and Progressive Language-Voxel Fusion (PLVF). ROVM dynamically ranks and aggregates multi-view evidence via a conservative memory to mitigate noisy observations, while PLVF performs coarse-to-fine spatial-linguistic reasoning for precise disambiguation. Our approach achieves state-of-the-art performance under the depth-free protocol, significantly improving localization for targets defined by complex relations and appearance cues.

Geometry-Grounded Unified 3D Perception for Autonomous Driving

Camera-based autonomous driving perception requires a shared representation that preserves metric 3D structure across synchronized multi-camera streams. However, existing image-based frameworks often rely on backbones pretrained for semantic recognition, and introduce 3D geometry through downstream task-specific modules. As a result, their shared representations may fail to preserve explicit metric geometry and consistent 3D scene structure. In this paper, we present a Geometry-grounded Unified 3D Perception (GeoUP) framework that adapts the reconstruction-oriented latent of VGGT to calibrated, streaming multi-camera driving scenes. GeoUP factorizes cross-image interaction into self, temporal, and view attention to capture structurally distinct temporal and cross-view correspondences. It further injects calibration-aware raymap encodings to provide metric scale and camera geometry. The resulting geometry-grounded latent is decoded for metric depth estimation, 3D object detection, and semantic occupancy prediction, corresponding to surface-, instance-, and volume-level readouts of the same 3D scene. Through joint multi-task and multi-dataset training, GeoUP effectively leverages heterogeneous annotations and generalizes across diverse sensor configurations and perception ranges. Extensive experiments on nuScenes, Argoverse 2, Waymo, KITTI, and DDAD demonstrate that GeoUP achieves SOTA performance across detection, occupancy, and depth estimation. These results validate the effectiveness of geometry-grounded representations for unified 3D driving perception.

ThinkAfford: Affordance-Centric Reasoning for Fine-Grained 3D Grounding in Cluttered Scenes

Task-driven 3D affordance grounding aims to localize the functional region in a cluttered 3D scene that enables an action specified by a natural-language instruction. Existing methods either predict 3D masks directly or construct them by selecting and fusing intermediate 2D/3D regions. However, they remain vulnerable to two intertwined failure modes: the predicted or selected regions may miss the target interaction area or have unsuitable granularity, while language grounding may confuse visually similar alternatives under relational instructions. To this end, we introduce ThinkAfford, which decouples high-recall affordance proposal generation from instruction-grounded reasoning. Specifically, the Affordance Proposal Generation module first uses learnable affordance prompts and multi-level visual features to predict interaction-conditioned heatmaps, extracting a variable number of fine-grained proposals without parsed object or part names as segmentation prompts. Visual-Prompted Affordance Reasoning then reasons over labeled proposal overlays using the full instruction, returning identifiers in a structured "think-then-answer" response. Moreover, Group Relative Policy Optimization uses proposal-level rewards from lifted 3D overlap to align VPAR selection with final 3D grounding. On the SceneFun3D validation split, ThinkAfford achieves 10.69% AP50 and 25.46% AP25 under the official evaluator, outperforming comparable 3D open-vocabulary and vision-language-model-based 2D-to-3D baselines. Module-level diagnostics further show that APG attains 77.5% recall at 25% intersection-over-union, while GRPO-trained VPAR achieves 72.1% selection accuracy on APG-covered queries, compared with 63.4% under supervised fine-tuning.

Embodied Multimodal Grounding for Open-Vocabulary Mobile Manipulation via Semantic 3D Gaussian Splatting

Embodied mobile manipulation requires language, visual observations, three-dimensional scene structure, and action feasibility to be aligned before execution. We study open-vocabulary target grounding with few-shot manipulation in local household workspaces and present an embodied multimodal grounding framework that integrates active multi-view Semantic 3D Gaussian Splatting (Semantic-3DGS), reachability-aware base positioning, and a diffusion-based vision-language-action policy. A task-driven local Semantic-3DGS serves as a shared interface across active sensing, language-conditioned 3D localization, obstacle-aware scene reasoning, base preparation, and semantic conditioning of the action model. To preserve pretrained action priors, the 3D semantic cues are injected only into the late action-expert blocks. In expanded 50-trial real-robot evaluations against representative vision-language-action (VLA) approaches, the full system achieves 60% long-horizon success compared with 40% for PointVLA and 28% for DexVLA, and reaches 74% success in heavily cluttered manipulation compared with 52% for the single-view variant and 46% for PointVLA. It also maintains 75% success under a 75 cm height shift and eliminates photo-induced false grasps. These results indicate that explicit, refreshable 3D semantic grounding can improve robustness under clutter, occlusion, viewpoint variation, and embodiment constraints.

ARGUS: Aligning Robot Scene Geometry Under Shifting Views with Large 3D Vision Models

Large-scale visuomotor policies have demonstrated impressive performance across a wide range of robot manipulation tasks. However, despite this success, manipulation polices often entangle scene geometry with the corresponding viewpoint, learning where objects lie in an image rather than where it lies in the task space. This entanglement inherently limits the corresponding policy's ability to learn from viewpoint-diverse datasets (ex. DROID, BridgeV2) and generalize beyond the viewpoints captured in their training data. In this work, we present ARGUS, an observation pre-processing pipeline that uses large-scale 3D vision models to align image observations from arbitrary camera viewpoints into a canonical viewpoint before passing it to downstream visuomotor policies. Experiments across training datasets with varying levels of viewpoint diversity, from fixed multi-view camera configurations to highly varied camera placements, show that our method consistently outperforms prior approaches across both limited-view and view-diverse training regimes. In efficiency comparisons, ARGUS demonstrates an ability to learn from view-diverse data, converging to high success rates 4-6x faster than previous methods by leveraging a simplified observation space. Overall, our findings show that leveraging large-scale 3D vision models reduces the learning burden on visuomotor policies, enabling more efficient learning from large-scale, viewpoint-diverse robot datasets.

CoordRefer: Coordinate-Aware 3D Visual Grounding from Multiview Images

Multiview image-based 3D visual grounding predicts a coordinate frame to define a coordinate system and then regresses a 3D bounding box for localization. However, existing methods jointly optimize coordinate frame selection and box regression, leading to coordinate-relative box ambiguity and degraded grounding performance. This ambiguity arises because the same box admits different numerical representations across coordinate frames, creating multiple optimization targets and yielding invalid compromise predictions. To tackle this challenge, we propose CoordRefer, a coordinate-aware framework that decouples coordinate frame selection from coordinate-conditioned grounding. CoordRefer first selects a reference frame to define the coordinate system and then conditions 3D box prediction on the coordinate system. We perform coordinate-aware supervised fine-tuning to establish coordinate frame selection and coordinate-conditioned box regression, followed by Group Relative Policy Optimization with 3D IoU-based rewards to align both stages with downstream grounding quality. On ScanRefer with Qwen3-VL-2B, CoordRefer achieves gains of 11% in Acc@0.25 and 7% in Acc@0.5 over the coordinate-agnostic baseline, while its geometrically refined variant surpasses methods using explicit 3D inputs.

Talk2Sensors: 3D Visual Grounding in Autonomous Driving via Sensor-Adaptive Physical Cue Matching

As a key capability for embodied intelligence, 3D visual grounding (3DVG) has been predominantly studied in indoor scenes with RGB-D or point-cloud inputs, while existing outdoor extensions largely rely on monocular images alone. Both settings fall short of real-world outdoor perception, where heterogeneous sensors capture complementary yet distinct physical properties, such as visual texture, 3D geometry, and object kinematics, that are indispensable for flexible and robust query-adaptive grounding but remain under-exploited. To bridge this gap, we introduce Talk2Sensors, the first multi-sensor 3D visual grounding dataset built upon camera, LiDAR, and 4D radar. It contains 8,682 language instructions and 20,558 referred objects, with diverse prompts explicitly aligned with sensor-specific physical cues. Furthermore, we propose TSFormer, a unified Transformer-based framework for language-guided 3D visual grounding in autonomous driving. TSFormer adopts a coarse-to-fine property-aware fusion strategy: the Language-Routed Property Sampler first performs coarse text-conditioned feature retrieval by modulating sensor sampling weights with query-level linguistic cues, while the subsequent Sparse-Preserving Modality Arbiter module conducts fine-grained modality arbitration and text-guided refinement to determine the precise referred spatial location. This design enables dynamic routing of appearance, geometry, and motion cues according to the semantic requirements of each prompt, preventing dense modalities from overwhelming sparse but critical sensor signals. Extensive experiments demonstrate that TSFormer achieves state-of-the-art performance across multiple benchmarks: it improves over the strongest baseline by 8.05 mAP on Talk2Sensors, and transfers to the monocular Mono3DRefer benchmark with 53.05% Acc@0.5.

TDVR: Joint Text Disambiguation and Viewpoint Reasoning for Zero-Shot 3D Visual Grounding

Zero-shot 3D visual grounding aims to localize specific objects based on textual descriptions and 3D visual input. However, the effectiveness of existing methods is significantly hindered by the ambiguous query text and deficient viewpoints. To address these issues, we propose TDVR, a training-free reasoning framework that disambiguates the input text and infers accurate viewpoints for zero-shot 3D visual grounding. First, we construct semantic 3D scene graph from the detected instances in the 3D point cloud. Subsequently, we put the original query, appearance and spatial relationship descriptions into the LLM for fusion, thereby disambiguating the initial input. We leverage chain-of-thought reasoning to generate the structured representation of disambiguated query. Then taking the scene graph and structured query as input, we get the optimal view via viewpoint reasoning to solve the problem of missing viewpoints during grounding. Based on the obtained optimal viewpoint, we further discriminate the distracting objects, enabling the model with the ability to distinguish similar instances. After that, we match the category text and appearance images with the query by computing the similarity of feature vectors. Finally, the target object was identified by integrating the viewpoint score, confusion score, category score, and appearance score. Compared with previous methods, our TDVR has stronger capabilities in viewpoint reasoning, similar object discrimination, and ambiguous query understanding. Experimental results on the public ScanRefer dataset show that our method outperforms the existing state-of-the-art methods by 15.25% and 14.46% in Acc@0.25 and Acc@0.5 respectively, demonstrating the effectiveness of our TDVR in addressing ambiguous query text and deficient viewpoints.

GuideGround: VLM-guided Semantic Understanding and Viewpoint-aware Reasoning for 3D Visual Grounding

3D visual grounding aims to localize the target object in a 3D scene from a natural language query, requiring both fine-grained semantic understanding and viewpoint-dependent spatial reasoning. Existing methods typically formulate semantic understanding as an auxiliary closed-set object classification task and rely on multi-view feature aggregation for viewpoint reasoning, limiting semantic generalization and weakening viewpoint-specific evidence. We observe that vision-language models naturally provide complementary capabilities through open-vocabulary semantic understanding and global scene perception. Based on this insight, we propose GuideGround, a VLM-guided framework that complements rather than replaces task-specific grounding models by leveraging VLMs for semantic enhancement and viewpoint-specific hypothesis verification. Specifically, we replace auxiliary closed-set object classification with VLM-generated object semantic descriptions to enhance semantic understanding. Meanwhile, instead of directly aggregating multi-view representations, we preserve viewpoint-specific grounding hypotheses through per-view grounding and explicitly verify them using VLMs across candidate viewpoints. Extensive experiments on the ReferIt3D benchmark demonstrate that GuideGround consistently outperforms previous state-of-the-art methods. Comprehensive ablation studies further confirm the effectiveness of both the proposed semantic understanding and viewpoint reasoning strategies.

RynnBrain 1.1: Towards More Capable and Generalizable Embodied Foundation Model

We present RynnBrain 1.1, a family of embodied foundation models spanning 2B, 9B, and 122B-A10B scales. Trained with a unified spatio-temporal and physically grounded framework, RynnBrain 1.1 supports embodied perception, spatial reasoning, localization, and planning. Compared with RynnBrain 1.0, it further introduces contact-point prediction across the model family and native 3D grounding for the 2B and 9B models, yielding representations and outputs that are more directly aligned with robot manipulation. We also develop RynnBrain-VLA with a unified cross-embodiment action space and embodiment-specific masking, and deploy it on Unitree G1, Astribot-S1, and Tianji-Wuji. RynnBrain 1.1 achieves strong results on embodied cognition, localization, and 3D grounding, with the 122B-A10B model outperforming all evaluated proprietary and open-source models on VSI-Bench, MMSI, and RefSpatial-Bench. Real-robot experiments show that RynnBrain-initialized policies outperform Qwen-based and representative generalist VLAs, while joint multi-task and multi-embodiment training improves process scores and success rates over per-task training.

UniPhysGen: Unified Physical Grounding for Simulation-Ready 3D Assets

Physically grounded 3D assets are increasingly important for embodied AI and robotic simulation. However, most existing 3D assets lack unified physical semantics, including articulation semantics and intrinsic physical properties, required for realistic interaction. Current approaches either treat these semantics independently or rely on canonicalized object structures, limiting robustness across heterogeneous 3D assets. We present UniPhys, a scalable framework for automatically transforming raw 3D assets into simulation-ready assets with unified physical semantics. Based on UniPhys, we construct UniPhys-40K, a large-scale physically grounded dataset, together with UniPhys-Bench, a carefully verified benchmark for unified physical grounding evaluation. We further introduce UniPhysGen, a unified physical grounding model that jointly reasons over articulation semantics and intrinsic physical properties. UniPhysGen incorporates geometry-robust articulation grounding to mitigate geometric shortcut bias under heterogeneous part decompositions. Extensive experiments demonstrate state-of-the-art performance across articulation grounding and intrinsic physical property estimation tasks, while the resulting assets can be directly deployed in robotic simulation environments for realistic physical interaction. Decouple and Reason: Anatomically Guided Two-Stage Voxel-Level Grounding of Free-Text Findings in 3D Chest CT

Automatic voxel-level grounding of free-text findings in 3D chest Computed Tomography (CT) is critical for clinical interpretability. However, this task remains highly challenging due to the intricate spatial complexity of large 3D volumes and the heterogeneity of free-text findings. Existing end-to-end approaches often struggle to simultaneously learn the localized feature representations required for accurate 3D segmentation and the complex semantic understanding needed for text alignment, leading to suboptimal grounding performance. To overcome this fundamental limitation, we propose a novel decoupled framework that disentangles the problem into two specialized stages: (1) class-agnostic lesion segmentation and (2) text-volume reasoning. This structural separation allows the model to first extract candidate sub-volumes by localizing potential abnormalities. Subsequently, intensive cross-modal reasoning is performed to align these localized sub-volumes with free-text medical findings. To resolve the spatial ambiguities inherent in local regions, the reasoning module is augmented with explicit anatomical guidance, utilizing relative spatial coordinates and lung lobe priors. Evaluated on the ReXGroundingCT benchmark, our method achieves state-of-the-art performance in overall grounding quality on the official leaderboard. These results demonstrate that decoupling detection from reasoning is a highly effective paradigm for handling the complexity of 3D medical visual grounding. Dynamic Object Detection and Tracking in Construction: A Fisheye Camera and LiDAR Sensor Fusion Model

Robust dynamic object detection and tracking are essential for enabling robots to operate safely and effectively alongside humans in complex environments such as construction sites. While LiDAR-based SLAM and occupancy grid methods offer viable solutions for detecting and tracking motion, many state-of-the-art 3D vision approaches rely heavily on pre-trained neural networks and require additional post-processing to identify moving objects. Sensor fusion techniques, combining the precision of LiDAR with the semantic richness of RGB imagery, offer a promising alternative. In this work, we present a novel framework that enhances a quadruped robot equipped with a LiDAR sensor and an upward-facing fisheye camera for real-time dynamic object detection and tracking. After identifying moving objects within a registered point cloud, our method assigns semantic labels by projecting 3D coordinates onto a 2D cylindrical panorama, aligning with real-time image-based detections for observation update of the Kalman filter. The proposed system demonstrates high precision, simplicity, and robustness, particularly in handling objects transitioning between dynamic and static states, thus it is well-suited for deployment in real-world construction environments.

MoWorld: A Flash World Model

The future of World Models depends not only on scaling model capability, but also on scaling practicality and inference efficiency. High-frame-rate inference enables responsive perception, planning, and control in real-world autonomous systems. To this end, we present MoWorld, a cost-effective yet high-performance Flash World Model with an end-to-end framework spanning data generation, pre-training, distillation, and efficient inference, enabling up to 50 FPS real-time interaction with cinematic visual quality without the need of high-end GPUs. To enable large-scale real-world deployment, MoWorld jointly optimizes model capability and cost throughout the entire development pipeline. Specifically, unlike existing approaches that primarily rely on large-scale video corpora, MoWorld is built upon a scalable 3D-native data engine accumulated from our large-scale 3D vision and generative modeling pipeline, enabling the efficient construction of geometrically consistent training data across diverse real-world and synthetic environments. Based on this foundation, a curriculum cross-frame pre-training strategy for stable and scalable World Model learning, an efficient denoising-step distillation algorithm to reduce diffusion training cost, and a mixed-precision parallel inference framework for low-cost real-time deployment. MoWorld is the first real-time interactive World Model built on the Neural Processing Unit (NPU) and can achieves up to 50 FPS in such the devices, enabling practical and efficient deployment at scale. Comprehensive evaluations demonstrate that MoWorld achieves leading performance; notably, its average inference cost is only 30%-50% of that of existing World Models, providing a practical foundation for large-scale real-world applications of World Models. We also demonstrate diverse applications of MoWorld.

Ground3D-LMM: Fine-Grained 3D Point Grounding and Spatial Reasoning with LMM

Natural-language queries about 3D environments become actionable when responses are verifiable and metric. Verifiability requires explicit grounding to the referred 3D region, while metric answers report physical measurements in real-world units (e.g., size, thickness, clearance, and distance). Existing 3D large multimodal models (LMMs) approaches remain limited: conversational systems typically respond without explicit 3D grounding, while 3D grounding models are not designed for interactive, metric-aware dialogue. In this paper, we present Ground3D-LMM, a unified model that takes a point cloud and an optional RGB image as input and supports 3D spatial conversation with (i) point-grounded responses and (ii) metric numeric outputs at both object and part granularity, including multi-object queries. To evaluate this intersection of grounding and measurement, we define the 3D Grounded Measurement task, which requires predicting the referred 3D region and the corresponding metric quantities in real-world units. We introduce a large-scale dataset built on ScanNet and ScanNet++ datasets with dense object and part annotations and roughly 2.5M question-answer pairs spanning eight tasks, along with a manually verified test set. Extensive experiments on multiple datasets and tasks show that our proposed Ground3D-LMM model provides a strong baseline for grounded, metric-aware 3D conversational understanding. Our dataset and model are publicly available.

PruneGround: Plug-and-play Spatial Pruning for 3D Visual Grounding

3D Visual Grounding (3DVG) aims to localize target objects in 3D scenes given natural language descriptions. Existing approaches typically perform reasoning over the entire scene, leading to ambiguous predictions and high computational cost, especially in cluttered environments. We observe that many referential expressions rely on local spatial context and often correspond to restricted spatial regions rather than the full scene. Motivated by this insight, we propose PruneGround, an effective plug-and-play framework for 3DVG built upon three key components. First, we introduce Language-Guided Spatial Pruning (LGSP), which leverages a frozen Vision Language Model (VLM) to identify language-relevant regions, thereby reducing spatial computation and grounding candidates in the narrower search space. Second, we propose MultiView-Conditioned Description Reformulation (MCDR), which decomposes complex expressions into simplified target-anchor relations and augments missing spatial cues through multi-view reasoning. Finally, we propose LLM-Grounder, which repurposes a detection-pretrained spatial LLM into a language-conditioned grounding model by aligning point cloud and linguistic representations within the pruned region. Extensive experiments on the three most popular point cloud benchmarks demonstrate that our method achieves state-of-the-art results on all three ScanRefer settings and on 9 out of 10 Nr3D/Sr3D settings. Pseudo-Text-Conditioned 3D Grounding DINO for Organ Localization in Abdominal CT

Reliable organ localization in abdominal CT can provide spatial priors for downstream trauma analysis. We propose CT-3GDINO, a lightweight 3D detector that adapts a Grounding-DINO-style query-based architecture to fixed organ localization using frozen pseudo-text class tokens instead of a real text encoder. The model combines a Swin3D visual backbone, bidirectional feature enhancement, pseudo-text-guided query selection, and a cross-modality decoder to predict normalized 3D boxes for liver, spleen, left kidney, right kidney, and bowel. We train and evaluate on 193 matched RSNA/RATIC CT volumes with segmentation-derived boxes. The best multi-scale model, trained from scratch, achieves 0.5830 overall top-1 class-wise mAP over 3D IoU thresholds from 0.1 to 0.7, outperforming fixed- and trainable-backbone classification-pretrained variants with 0.5570 and 0.4657 mAP. Performance is strong for coarse localization, with 0.9649 AP at IoU 0.1, but remains limited for strict box alignment, with 0.1552 AP at IoU 0.7. These results establish CT-3GDINO as an open-source baseline for pseudo-text-conditioned 3D organ localization and motivate future work on localization-aware pretraining, richer multimodal conditioning, and injury-focused detection.

Scaling Diverse Language Generation for 3D Visual Grounding

Developing robust models for 3D visual grounding (3DVG), the localization of entities in a 3D scene described in natural language, is important for enabling agents to correspond spatial language with objects in the physical world. However, the lack of diverse descriptions at scale prevents models from generalizing beyond simple linguistic patterns. Recent such attempts lack diversity in the constraint types and language used to ground objects. Captioning methods cannot precisely contrast objects, which is important for visual grounding. We therefore propose ViGiL3D++, a scalable, scene-agnostic method that generates diverse visual grounding queries by combining constraint sampling in scene graphs with the language generation of LLMs. We show that it has greater diversity over existing scaled datasets and improves model performance over several 3DVG benchmarks but also illuminates outstanding limitations of VLMs.

ZeroDex: Zero-Shot Long-Horizon Dexterous Manipulation via Multi-View 3D-Grounded VLM Reasoning

We present ZeroDex, a zero-shot framework for long-horizon dexterous manipulation that grounds language instructions into executable 3D task plans from calibrated multi-view RGB images. Rather than training an end-to-end policy, our system uses a vision-language model (VLM) to produce reference-frame task grounding and primitive-level 2D keypoints, then lifts them into 3D via multi-view fusion. This lifting combines triangulation of view-wise VLM groundings with reference-view ray voting, which searches along a semantic camera ray for geometrically consistent candidates across neighboring views. The resulting 3D keypoints support both pick-and-place and tool-use: for tool-use, we retrieve an object-centric atomic action corresponding to the inferred skill category and align its stored 6D tool trajectory to the scene; for dexterous execution, we expand the lifted grasp keypoint into a task-conditioned grasp affordance region and generate feasible grasp-motion pairs with an arm-hand motion generator. Real-world experiments show improved 3D grounding accuracy and execution reliability over single-view RGB-D grounding and fine-tuned VLA baselines. We further demonstrate long-horizon manipulation through closed-loop status verification and replan, enabling zero-shot execution on unseen objects and tool-use tasks in novel scenes.

Neural Tree Reconstruction for the Open Forest Observatory

The Open Forest Observatory (OFO) is a collaboration across universities and other partners to make low-cost forest mapping accessible to ecologists, land managers, and the general public. The OFO is building both a database of geospatial forest data as well as open-source methods and tools for forest mapping by uncrewed aerial vehicle. Such data are useful for a variety of climate applications including prioritizing reforestation efforts, informing wildfire hazard reduction, and monitoring carbon sequestration. In the current iteration of the OFO's forest map database, 3D tree maps are created using classical structure-from-motion techniques. This approach is prone to artifacts, lacks detail, and has particular difficulty on the forest floor where the input data (overhead imagery) has limited visibility. These reconstruction errors can potentially propagate to the downstream scientific tasks (e.g. a wildfire simulation.) Advances in 3D reconstruction, including methods like Neural Radiance Fields (NeRF), produce higher quality results that are more robust to sparse views and support data-driven priors. We explore ways to incorporate NeRFs into the OFO dataset, outline future work to support even more state-of-the-art 3D vision models, and describe the importance of high-quality 3D reconstructions for forestry applications.

GraspFoM: Towards Reconstruction-Driven Robotic Grasping with 3D Foundation Priors

Robotic grasping is a fundamental capability in robotic manipulation. Yet grasping remains challenging under partial observations. Reliable grasping depends on both local contact cues and object-level 3D structure. Existing geometry-aware grasping methods recognize the value of reconstruction, but they typically treat geometry as an intermediate prediction rather than a reusable object prior for grasping. In this paper, we present GraspFoM, a unified framework that leverages 3D foundation priors (SAM3D) to build a shared 3D object latent for both reconstruction and grasp pose prediction. Built on this shared object latent, we introduce an anchor-initialized truncated pose-reasoning diffuser that predicts continuous and multimodal grasp poses without directly relying on discrete grasp candidates. We further investigate the interaction between reconstruction and grasping through a reconstruction-aware scorer and a residual latent updater. Reconstruction provides grounded geometric cues, while grasp supervision refines the shared object latent toward grasp-relevant affordances. GraspFoM jointly predicts grasp poses and reconstructs high-fidelity 3D assets in mesh and 3DGS forms. Comprehensive experiments demonstrate that GraspFoM achieves state-of-the-art results on both reconstruction and grasping. Notably, these improvements require only a small number of additional trainable parameters. Component-wise ablation studies also demonstrate the contribution of each component.

Where to Look: Can Foundation Models Reach a Target Viewpoint Through Active Exploration?

Humans can reproduce the viewpoint specified by a target image through active head and body motion, yet spatial intelligence in foundation models has largely been studied as passive understanding of pre-collected observations. We introduce Target Viewpoint Reproduction (TVR) -- an active task where an agent adjusts its viewpoint in a 3D environment until its observation matches a given target image -- and TVRBench, an indoor-simulation benchmark spanning scene scale and target-view visual richness. TVR is far from solved: on the evaluation split, the strongest open-source and closed-source models reach only 7.8% and 12.0% success. Fine-grained analysis identifies two consistent bottlenecks: off-the-shelf models struggle with multi-turn visual history, and performance drops sharply when viewpoint reproduction requires body translation rather than in-place rotation, exposing a gap in mapping spatial discrepancies to embodied movement. To study reducing this gap, we build a unified TVR post-training framework covering expert-trajectory SFT, rationale-supervised CoT-SFT, offline Single-turn GRPO, and on-policy Multi-turn GRPO from live simulator rollouts. Visual-action SFT supplies the main gain, raising a 9B open-source model to 50.8% success; Multi-turn GRPO provides targeted multi-room refinement and reaches 51.4% overall, while CoT supervision and Single-turn GRPO degrade closed-loop performance. These results establish TVRBench as a testbed for measuring and training foundation models that actively perceive and act in 3D environments. AgentGrounder: Zero-Shot 3D Visual Pointcloud Grounding using Multimodal Language Models

3D Visual Grounding (3DVG) is an essential capability for embodied AI, requiring agents to localize objects in 3D scenes based on natural language descriptions. Recent zero-shot methods leverage 2D vision-language models (LVLMs). However, they often rely on existing sets of multi-view images and struggle with the limited semantic and spatial details provided by standard 3D segmentation tools. We present AgentGrounder\textbf{AgentGrounder}, a zero-shot 3D visual grounding framework that operates directly on colored point clouds without task-specific 3D training. Our approach follows a two-stage design: (1) an offline stage that applies 3D model to build an Object Lookup Table (OLT) with instance IDs, semantic labels, 3D bounding boxes; and (2) an online tool-driven agent that decomposes each query, retrieves only relevant candidates from the OLT, performs geometric scoring, and triggers image rendering on demand when additional visual evidence (e.g., color, material, or viewpoint-sensitive cues) is required. Compared with fixed anchor-target matching pipelines, this design reduces cascading matching errors and improves context-window efficiency by avoiding prompts overloaded with irrelevant objects. We evaluate on ScanRefer and Nr3D under a zero-shot setting and observe consistent improvements over SeeGround in our setup, including +2.5% Acc@0.5 on ScanRefer and +6.3% on Nr3D, with a notable +6.3% gain on Nr3D view-independent queries. These results show that combining selective retrieval, geometric reasoning, and adaptive visual inspection yields a practical and robust foundation for open-vocabulary 3D grounding. Our code is available at https://github.com/be2rlab/AgentGrounder.

PoseRefer: Pathway-Local Parameters for Semantically Grounded Reference Resolution

A robot resolving ``put the cup on that one'' must fuse gesture, language, and scene geometry, yet 3D grounding benchmarks only partially capture this regime: descriptions are written post-hoc, gestures are templated, or pointing is staged for the camera. MM-Conv captures natural co-speech gesture from dyadic VR interaction alongside full-body motion capture and 3D scene graphs. We use it to evaluate pose-language fusion with a decoupled late-fusion architecture in which pose and text pathways share no learned parameters. The two choices together make category, pose, and text contributions easier to isolate through controlled ablations. Fusion with frozen MiniLM category embeddings exceeds pose alone and the best text-only pathway on every reference type, reaching 31.9% top-1. The learned scalar gate flips between opposing policies depending on whether the text pathway has category access. This is a reliability diagnostic: fusion-accuracy claims for semantic grounding systems are indistinguishable from category-representation artifacts unless pathways are architecturally decoupled.

SceneGraphGrounder: Zero-Shot 3D Visual Grounding via Structured Scene Graph Matching

Zero-shot 3D visual grounding requires localizing objects in unstructured environments from free-form natural language. Recent vision-language model (VLM) approaches achieve promising results but rely on view-dependent reasoning or implicit representations, limiting spatial consistency and interpretability for compositional queries. We propose SceneGraphGrounder, a framework that reformulates 3D grounding as structured graph matching over a reconstructed 3D scene graph. To enable this formulation, we introduce a visual marker prompting strategy that enables a VLM to infer object-object relationships from 2D views, which are subsequently lifted into a persistent 3D scene graph encoding both spatial and semantic relations. Given a query, we construct a query graph and perform constrained alignment with the scene graph, ensuring multi-view consistency and interpretable reasoning. Experiments on the ScanRefer benchmark demonstrate that our method achieves competitive performance among zero-shot approaches, using only RGB-D inputs. We further validate our framework through real-world deployment on a mobile robot, demonstrating robust spatial reasoning in long-horizon physical environments. We will make our code publicly available upon acceptance.

Interaction Locality in Hierarchical Recursive Reasoning

Spatial reasoning requires both location-bound computation and location-invariant structure: agents must make local moves while preserving route, object, or constraint-level plans. We propose interaction locality, a task-geometry-aware framework for measuring whether information flow stays within nearby cells or semantic segments, or crosses them. We instantiate the framework with sparse-autoencoder feature ablations and finite-noise activation patching, with structural Jacobian and attention checks reported in the appendix, and apply it to HRM and TRM, two compact hierarchical and recursive reasoning models, on Maze-Hard, Sudoku Extreme, and ARC-AGI. Across these models, activation patching gives the clearest architectural fingerprint: high-level recurrent states tend to write information within nearby cells or same-segment units, while repeated recursive updates accumulate these local writes into broader solution structure. This pattern holds across maze paths, Sudoku constraints, and ARC-AGI object neighborhoods, with the strongest concentration in TRM. To test whether interaction locality extends beyond toy-yet-challenging grid benchmarks, we also apply it to MTU3D, a large-scale embodied 3D scene-grounding model. In this MTU3D setting, causal spatial locality appears primarily at the transition where visual scene features are handed to the downstream grounding module, rather than uniformly throughout the visual encoder. This contrast suggests that the local-to-global handoff observed in HRM and TRM is tied to explicit recursive reasoning dynamics, while embodied 3D models may concentrate causal spatial structure at module boundaries. Interaction locality turns the intuitive local-execution/global-planning story into a reproducible measurement framework for recursive and embodied spatial reasoning.

Towards Camera-Robust 3D Localization: Equation-Anchored Tool-Use for MLLMs

3D localization in Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs), including 3D object detection and 3D visual grounding, is fundamentally limited by camera intrinsic ambiguity: the same image admits different 3D scenes under different cameras. Existing MLLMs either ignore camera parameters and overfit to a canonical training intrinsic, or retrieve depth and 3D cues from external tools but treat the returned values as reference cues (numerical hints that the model is free to interpret implicitly), both preventing camera information from being deterministically propagated into the prediction. We propose an equation-anchored tool-use framework that re-purposes spatial tools as formula variables. The proposed framework proactively retrieves camera intrinsics and samples multi-point metric depths, writes the pinhole back-projection equation X^=(uccx)Zˉ/fx\hat{X} = (u_c - c_x)\bar{Z}/f_x explicitly in Chain-of-Thought (CoT), and substitutes tool outputs into the formula before regressing the final 9-DoF bounding box. On both 3D object detection and 3D visual grounding tasks under rescaled camera intrinsics from 0.5×0.5\times to 1.5×1.5\times, our method outperforms RGB-only and tool-augmented baselines, with significant gains where the camera deviates most from the training scale. Code and data will be released.

Beyond Geometry: Efficient Topologically-Grounded Navigation in Complex 3D Environments

Ground robot navigation in complex 3D environments is often hindered by geometric ambiguity, where non-traversable structures such as furniture share local geometric properties with navigable ground. Furthermore, the computational cost of searching massive voxel spaces remains a significant challenge. To address these issues, we present a surface extraction framework that constructs a reduced state space of physically reachable standing positions by enforcing ground support, overhead clearance, and seed-based connectivity constraints. Evaluation across five Matterport3D indoor scenes and three PCT benchmark scenes demonstrates over 80% state space reduction and sub-millisecond A* search on the Matterport3D scenes, with 100% planning success across all 300 tested queries.

Grounding by Remembering: Cross-Scene and In-Scene Memory for 3D Functional Affordances

Functional affordance grounding requires more than recognizing an object: an agent must localize the specific region that supports an interaction, such as the handle to pull or the button to press. This is difficult for training-free vision-language pipelines because actionable regions are often small, visually ambiguous, and repeated across multiple same-category instances in a scene. We propose AFFORDMEM, a framework that grounds 3D functional affordances by remembering geometry at two levels. The first is cross-scene affordance memory: the agent maintains a category-level memory bank of RGB images with affordance regions rendered as overlays, and recalls the most informative examples at query time to guide a frozen VLM toward small operable subregions that text-only prompting consistently misses. The second is in-scene spatial memory: as the agent processes the scene, it organizes candidate instances and their 3D spatial relations into a structured scene graph, enabling the language model to resolve references over distant or currently unobserved candidates such as "the second handle from the top." AFFORDMEM requires no model fine-tuning and no target-scene annotation, using a reusable memory bank built from source scenes. On SceneFun3D, our method improves AP50 over the prior training-free state of the art by 3.23 on Split 0 and 3.7 on Split 1. Ablation studies support complementary benefits: cross-scene affordance memory improves fine-grained localization, while in-scene spatial memory provides the larger gain on spatially qualified queries. 3DReflecNet: A Large-Scale Dataset for 3D Reconstruction of Reflective, Transparent, and Low-Texture Objects

Accurate 3D reconstruction of objects with reflective, transparent, or low-texture surfaces still remains notoriously challenging. Such materials often violate key assumptions in multi-view reconstruction pipelines, such as photometric consistency and the availability on distinct geometric texture cues. Existing datasets primarily focus on diffuse, textured objects, and therefore provide limited insight into performance under real-world material complexities. We introduce 3DReflecNet, a large-scale hybrid dataset exceeding 22 TB that is specifically designed to benchmark and advance 3D vision methods for these challenging materials. 3DReflecNet combines two types of data: over 120,000 synthetic instances generated via physically-based rendering of more than 12,000 shapes, and over 1,000 real-world objects captured using consumer devices. Together, these data consist of more than 7 million multi-view frames. The dataset spans diverse materials, complex lighting conditions, and a wide range of geometric forms, including shapes generated from both real and LLM-synthesized 2D images using diffusion-based pipelines. To support robust evaluation, we design benchmarks for five core tasks: image matching, structure-from-motion, novel view synthesis, reflection removal, and relighting. Extensive experiments demonstrate that state-of-the-art methods struggle to maintain accuracy across these settings, highlighting the need for more resilient 3D vision models.

AirZoo: A Unified Large-Scale Dataset for Grounding Aerial Geometric 3D Vision

Despite the rapid progress in data-driven 3D vision, aerial geometric 3D vision remains a formidable challenge due to the severe scarcity of large-scale, high-fidelity training data. Existing benchmarks, predominantly biased toward ground-level or object-centric views, do not account for complex viewpoint transformations and diverse environmental conditions in UAV-based sensing. To bridge this critical gap, we propose AirZoo, a unified large-scale dataset and benchmark for grounding aerial geometric 3D vision. AirZoo possesses three appealing properties: 1) Scalable Generation Pipeline: Leveraging freely available, world-scale photogrammetric 3D meshes, it renders vast outdoor environments with customizable UAV flight trajectories and configurable weather/illumination. 2) Comprehensive Scene Diversity: It provides the most extensive coverage of region types to date (spanning 378 regions across 22 countries), systematically encompassing both highly structured urban landscapes and complex unstructured natural environments. 3) Rich Geometric Annotations: Each frame provides synchronized, pixel-level metric depth and precise 6-DoF geo-referenced poses, essential for geometry-aware learning. Through three rigorous evaluation tracks -- aerial image retrieval, cross-view matching, and multi-view 3D reconstruction -- we demonstrate that AirZoo serves as a powerful pre-training engine. Extensive experiments on both public and newly collected real-world benchmarks reveal that fine-tuning on AirZoo yields substantial performance gains for SoTA models (e.g., MegaLoc, RoMa, VGGT, and Depth Anything 3), establishing a new performance upper bound for aerial spatial intelligence.

Multiple Consistent 2D-3D Mappings for Robust Zero-Shot 3D Visual Grounding

Zero-shot 3D Visual Grounding (3DVG) is a critical capability for open-world embodied AI. However, existing methods are fundamentally bottlenecked by the poor quality of open-vocabulary 3D proposals, suffering from inaccurate categories and imprecise geometries, as well as the spatial redundancy of exhaustive multi-view reasoning. To address these challenges, we propose MCM-VG, a novel framework that achieves robust zero-shot 3DVG by explicitly establishing Multiple Consistent 2D-3D Mappings. Instead of passively relying on noisy 3D segments, MCM-VG enforces 2D-3D consistency across three fundamental dimensions to achieve precise target localization and reliable reasoning. First, a Semantic Alignment module corrects category mismatches via LLM-driven query parsing and coarse-to-fine 2D-3D matching. Second, an Instance Rectification module leverages VLM-guided 2D segmentations to reconstruct missing targets, back-projecting these reliable visual priors to establish accurate 3D geometries. Finally, to eliminate spatial redundancy, a Viewpoint Distillation module clusters 3D camera directions to extract optimal frames. By pairing these optimal RGB frames with Bird's Eye View maps into concise visual prompt sets, we formulate the final target disambiguation as a multiple-choice reasoning task for Vision-Language Models. Extensive evaluations on ScanRefer and Nr3D benchmarks demonstrate that MCM-VG sets a new state-of-the-art for zero-shot 3D visual grounding. Remarkably, it achieves 62.0% and 53.6% in Acc@0.25 and Acc@0.5 on ScanRefer, outperforming previous baselines by substantial margins of 6.4% and 4.0%.

OpenGround: Planning-based Online Perception for Open-World 3D Visual Grounding

3D visual grounding aims to locate objects based on natural language descriptions in 3D scenes. Existing supervised methods are limited by generalization and recent zero-shot methods typically rely on a predefined Object Lookup Table (OLT) to query Visual Language Models (VLMs) for reasoning about object locations via a single step grounding, which limits the applications in scenarios with undefined targets and complex queries. To address these problems, we present OpenGround, a novel zero-shot framework for open-world 3D visual grounding that remains compatible with recent zero-shot methods. OpenGround integrates Task-Chain Planning to decompose a query into a plan of context-to-target sub-goals for progressive grounding, and Context-Guided Perception to perceive novel objects online under context guidance from the task chain. We also propose a new dataset named OpenTarget, which contains over 7000 object-description pairs to mimic open-world evaluation. Extensive experiments demonstrate that OpenGround achieves competitive performance on Nr3D, state-of-the-art on ScanRefer, and delivers a substantial 17.6% improvement on OpenTarget. PanoGrounder: Bridging 2D and 3D with Panoramic Scene Representations for VLM-based 3D Visual Grounding

3D Visual Grounding (3DVG) is a critical bridge from vision-language perception to robotics, requiring both language understanding and 3D scene reasoning. Traditional supervised models leverage explicit 3D geometry but exhibit limited generalization, owing to the scarcity of 3D vision-language datasets and the limited reasoning capabilities compared to modern vision-language models (VLMs). We propose a generalizable 3DVG framework, PanoGrounder, that couples multi-modal panoramic representation with pretrained 2D VLMs for strong vision-language reasoning. Panoramic renderings, augmented with 3D semantic and geometric features, serve as an intermediate representation between 2D and 3D, and offer two major benefits: (i) they can be directly fed to VLMs with minimal adaptation and (ii) they retain long-range object-to-object relations thanks to their 360-degree field of view. We devise a three-stage pipeline that places a compact set of panoramic viewpoints considering the scene layout and geometry, grounds a text query on each panoramic rendering with a VLM, and fuses per-view predictions into a single 3D bounding box via lifting. Our approach achieves state-of-the-art results on ScanRefer and Nr3D, and demonstrates strong generalization to unseen 3D datasets and text rephrasings.

Error-Driven Scene Editing for 3D Grounding in Large Language Models

Despite recent progress in 3D-LLMs, they remain limited in accurately grounding language to visual and spatial elements in 3D environments. This limitation stems in part from training data that focuses on language reasoning rather than spatial understanding due to scarce 3D resources, leaving inherent grounding biases unresolved. To address this, we propose 3D scene editing as a key mechanism to generate visual counterfactuals that mitigate these biases through fine-grained spatial manipulation, without requiring costly scene reconstruction or large-scale 3D data collection. Furthermore, to make these edits targeted and directly address the specific weaknesses of the model, we introduce DEER-3D, an error-driven framework that diagnoses grounding failures and generates targeted counterfactual training supervision via a structured "Decompose, Diagnose, Edit, and Retrain" loop. Specifically, given a grounding failure, DEER-3D first identifies the predicate-level error (e.g., attribute or spatial relation). It then performs minimal predicate-aligned scene edits, such as recoloring or repositioning, and constructs aligned question-answer pairs that explicitly target the failed predicate, forming targeted counterfactual training examples. We evaluate our editing pipeline across multiple benchmarks for 3D grounding and scene understanding tasks, consistently demonstrating improvements across all grounding datasets through iterative refinement (4-6% gains). DEER-3D underscores the effectiveness of targeted, error-driven scene editing in bridging linguistic reasoning with spatial grounding in 3D LLMs.

GSVisLoc: Generalizable Visual Localization for Gaussian Splatting Scene Representations

We introduce GSVisLoc, a visual localization method designed for 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) scene representations. Given a 3DGS model of a scene and a query image, our goal is to estimate the camera's position and orientation. We accomplish this by robustly matching scene features to image features. Scene features are produced by downsampling and encoding the 3D Gaussians while image features are obtained by encoding image patches. Our algorithm proceeds in three steps, starting with coarse matching, then fine matching, and finally by applying pose refinement for an accurate final estimate. Importantly, our method leverages the explicit 3DGS scene representation for visual localization without requiring modifications, retraining, or additional reference images. We evaluate GSVisLoc on both indoor and outdoor scenes, demonstrating competitive localization performance on standard benchmarks while outperforming existing 3DGS-based baselines. Moreover, our approach generalizes effectively to novel scenes without additional training.
