RopeFormer: Cross-Trial Adaptation from Interaction History for Dynamic Rope Manipulation

Dynamic rope manipulation is highly sensitive to unknown object dynamics: the same robot motion can produce substantially different responses across ropes, while explicitly identifying the relevant physical properties is difficult. We present RopeFormer, a history-conditioned framework that uses prior task interaction as context for subsequent control. The policy retains cross-trial action-response history while keeping its weights fixed and requires no explicit online rope-parameter estimation. In matched simulation evaluations across sustained single-arm rotation, bimanual rotation, and transient whipping, retaining context improves subsequent control relative to resetting the same checkpoint, with the benefit varying across rope dynamics and observation settings. We further deploy the frozen policies on a Unitree H1-2 with previously unseen physical ropes. From T1 to T3, target-acquisition time decreases by 30.9% for Rope Swing and 33.9% for Rope Twirl, while mean Rope Whip target hits increase from 0.2 to 2.3 out of three. These results show that prior interaction can provide effective control context for dynamic deformable-object manipulation. Robot videos, code, and data are available at https://ropeformer.github.io/.

RotateIt! Fast and Reliable Single-Arm Garment Unfolding via Online-Adaptive Dynamic Rotation

Robotic garment unfolding is essential for downstream tasks, yet quasi-static methods require repeated actions, while existing dynamic approaches predominantly rely on bimanual flinging. We present RotateIt!, a single-arm framework that uses adaptive axial rotation for dynamic garment unfolding. To the best of our knowledge, it is the first unfolding framework to employ dynamic axial rotation as its primary manipulation primitive. From a randomly initialized tabletop configuration, the robot selects a rotation-effective grasp and rotates the lifted garment about an approximately fixed anchor, generating inertial tension that separates overlapping layers within a compact workspace. A grasp ranker selects the anchor, while an online residual policy adapts the rotation extent and speed, thereby determining the release timing. Across seen and unseen simulated garments and eight unseen real garments, RotateIt! improves success within three attempts by 44.0-61.0 percentage points over quasi-static pick-and-place. The simulation-trained policies transfer zero-shot to the real world, achieving 75.6% success, 41% higher first-attempt coverage, and 26% higher final coverage. The resulting states further enable autonomous robotic folding without manual rearrangement.

Smart Insole Human Activity Recognition for Continuous Monitoring in Elderly Care

Falls in older adults are often preceded by changes in mobility, balance, and postural transitions. This paper presents a wireless smart insole platform and machine-learning workflow for recognizing sitting, standing, walking, and unstable walking from plantar-pressure and inertial signals. Each insole integrates 16 active pressure-sensing locations and a six-dimensional IMU stream consisting of tri-axial acceleration and angular velocity. Data were collected from 15 healthy adults at 80~Hz and segmented into overlapping windows. Window length and candidate model families were first screened with stratified 10-fold cross-validation; the primary performance estimate was then obtained with participant-independent 5-fold Stratified Group cross-validation, ensuring that all windows from a participant remained in a single fold. Under this protocol, Histogram-Based Gradient Boosting (HGB) achieved macro-F1 scores of 0.954 and 0.959 for the left and right feet, respectively, and 0.980 with bilateral sensing. A compact 1D-CNN evaluated with the same participant-independent folds did not significantly outperform HGB (p=0.0625p=0.0625). The results show that low-profile footwear sensing can infer activity state from pressure and IMU measurements for participants unseen during training, establishing a basis for activity monitoring and fall prevention in elderly care.

WeaveRL: Weaving Reconstruction into Scene-Aware Fabrics for Perceptive Reinforcement Learning

Reinforcement learning allows robots to acquire complex skills, but producing policies for geometrically complex manipulation remains difficult. A promising approach is to learn on top of collision-avoidant controllers, such as geometric fabrics. However, these approaches have relied on static, hand-specified representations of the scene. Integrating active, online 3D perception into massively parallel RL training has so far been inaccessible. We introduce a GPU-accelerated method that reconstructs the scene as a collection of surfels across thousands of parallel simulation instances during active rollouts. This lets policies operate over sensor-derived, rather than hand-specified, geometry. On a suite of collision-dense manipulation tasks, our surfel fabrics enable policies to tackle geometrically complex scenes where primitive-based baselines fail, while maintaining sim-to-real transfer. Furthermore, policies learned with a scene-aware fabric are more robust to the introduction of novel geometry at test time, improving collision-free task completion under unseen obstacles from 35% to 61%. We release our reconstruction system, training code and test dataset to spur research in this direction.

ForwardDLO: Model-Based Bimanual Shape Matching of Unconstrained Deformable Linear Objects

Ropes, cables, and other deformable linear objects appear in tasks from untangling to cable routing and suturing, yet controlling their shape remains a challenge in robot manipulation. We study model-based shape control in a general setting: the object lies unfixated on a support surface and two arms may grasp and move it anywhere along its length. Because each arm chooses a grasp point, direction, and magnitude, the joint action space is combinatorially large, and the dynamics model's per-prediction cost bounds how much of it a planner can search. We present ForwardDLO, a recurrent latent dynamics model for this unfixated bimanual setting that predicts per-segment displacements grounded in the observed rope state at every step. Our model reaches accuracy comparable to more expensive baselines while containing no explicit segment-to-segment operations, which makes batched evaluation of candidate actions cheap. On open-loop prediction of real rope motion it reaches the lowest error of the learned models we evaluate, 13% below the strongest baseline. Within a fixed time budget it scores 8 to 22 times more candidate actions than models of comparable accuracy while matching them in real-world shape matching; and on a simulated routing task at a 30Hz control rate, this throughput converts into 98% task success versus at most 30% for the baselines at their own budgets. We release the model, code, and a dataset of 2.42 million simulated and 14,107 real rope transitions at https://anonymous.4open.science/r/ForwardDLO/

Multimodal Conditioning of Fine-Tuned Stable Diffusion XL for Controllable and Culturally Faithful Ulos Motif Generation

The traditional Batak Ulos weaving industry faces growing challenges in producing diverse, innovative motifs due to limitations in conventional, manually driven design methods. This study proposes a multimodal generative framework integrating a fine-tuned Latent Diffusion Model (Stable Diffusion XL v1.0 via LoRA) with a Multimodal Large Language Model (LLaMA 1.5-7B) to enable controllable, culturally faithful Ulos motif generation. Four complementary conditioning mechanisms: text, image, representation, and semantic map (via ControlNet) jointly guide the generation process, each governing a distinct aspect from semantic intent to spatial layout. A five level ablation study across three scenarios (shape transformation, colour variation, and high-complexity input) shows that conditioning effectiveness is not proportional to the number of mechanisms combined: Text + Image + Semantic Map achieved the best FID (270) and CLIP Score (0.65 - 0.70) but the weakest SSIM (0.65), while Text + Image + Representation offered the best overall balance, with stable SSIM (0.84) and competitive FID (280). Combining all four mechanisms yielded the weakest FID (330), indicating conflicting optimization signals. Qualitative evaluation by nine weavers and thirty public participants confirmed statistically significant positive acceptance (Wilcoxon, p=0.007 and p<0.001, respectively). A web-based prototype supporting text-to-image and image-to-image generation was also developed, offering a practical digital design tool for cultural heritage preservation.

JewelTry: Mask-Free Scale Aware Jewelry Virtual Try-On

Virtual try-on (VTON) enables customers to visualize how fashion products appear when worn and has become an important technology for online shopping. While recent advances have substantially improved garment VTON, jewelry remains a challenging and underexplored category due to its small size, rigid structure, and sensitivity to fine-grained visual details. Realistic jewelry VTON requires not only faithful appearance transfer but also accurate scale and placement relative to the wearer. Existing jewelry VTON methods typically rely on mask guidance, whereas mask-free approaches lack explicit guidance for modeling the product scale. To bridge this gap, we introduce JVTO-Bench, a benchmark dataset for scale-faithful jewelry VTON, providing reference source target triplets with real-world product-scale annotations across four major jewelry categories. Building upon this benchmark, we propose JewelTry, a mask-free diffusion framework for scale-aware jewelry VTON. JewelTry incorporates a scale adapter that encodes product dimensions into a scale token, enabling the model to learn scale relationships between jewelry items and surrounding human anatomy in-context. To further improve jewelry consistency, we introduce a single-directional condition attention mechanism and an attention refinement loss that preserve both coarse geometry and fine-grained structural details of the reference jewelry. Extensive experiments show that JewelTry achieves a balance among visual fidelity, background preservation, object consistency and scale accuracy, establishing a strong baseline for mask-free, scale-aware jewelry virtual try-on.

MeRoTune: RoPE-Safe Merging with a Tunable Dial

When you merge two fine-tuned models from the same base checkpoint by simply averaging their weights, you implicitly assume their attention subspaces are still aligned. Recent work attempts to fix misalignments by learning an invertible correction matrix, MM, for each model's query and key projections. This correction cancels out---using MM on the query side and MTM^{-T} on the key side---right before the dot product. However, this cancellation is only exact if nothing sits between the projection and the dot product. In reality, almost all modern open-weight language models put a rotary position embedding (RoPE) exactly there. In this paper, we show that this cancellation is exact under RoPE if and only if MM commutes with RoPE's per-position rotation. We derive the specific class of matrices where this holds: a scaled rotation acting independently within each RoPE frequency pair. This forms a strict, low-dimensional subset of the unconstrained matrices that current methods normally train. Building on this, we turn this constrained matrix class into a new merging method. While keeping the base weights entirely frozen, two fine-tunes each learn their own RoPE-compliant correction matrices. We optimize these corrections against a chosen blend ratio so the final result can be adjusted post-hoc like a dial, rather than locked into a single fixed merge. Our default approach trains at one fixed blend ratio, similar to how LoRA sets its scaling hyperparameter in advance. We also experiment with resampling the blend ratio randomly at every training step, and we report the results of both approaches.

BooM-VVT: Boosting Mask-Free Video Virtual Try-On with Image-Level Pseudo Data

Video virtual try-on (VVT) aims to generate realistic videos of a person wearing a target garment. Recent methods leverage a keyframe-driven video generation paradigm to improve in-the-wild performance, yet they still rely on masks to localize try-on regions, making them vulnerable to large motions and severe occlusions. Although mask-free image-based try-on methods have shown promising results by leveraging large-scale pseudo data, extending this paradigm to videos remains difficult, as constructing video-level pseudo data is prohibitively expensive. Furthermore, coarse keyframe sampling and the scarcity of multi-view try-on data limit existing keyframe-driven methods in maintaining garment consistency and handling diverse try-on tasks. To address these challenges, we propose BooM-VVT, a mask-free VVT framework built upon the keyframe-driven paradigm. To achieve mask-free VVT, we introduce a multi-stage training strategy that leverages image-level pseudo data for mask-free localization learning, substantially reducing the need for costly video-level pseudo data. To improve garment consistency, we propose Garment-Sensitive Keyframe Sampling, which selects keyframes based on garment-relevant body regions to better capture garment appearance. We further introduce Frame-Shared 3D-RoPE to establish spatiotemporal correspondences between keyframes and target video frames for accurate garment-detail transfer. Finally, we construct OmniView, a large-scale multi-view try-on dataset to support reliable try-on video generation under complex camera viewpoints and diverse try-on tasks. Extensive experiments demonstrate that BooM-VVT achieves superior temporal consistency and garment fidelity over existing methods. Project page: https://boomvvt.github.io/boomvvt.

TempCloze: Can Video-LLMs Identify the Missing Middle?

Temporal reasoning benchmarks for Video-LLMs are often mediated by language, leaving room for linguistic shortcuts from option wording, answer correlations, or language priors. To reduce such shortcuts, we introduce TempCloze, a video cloze benchmark for evaluating visual temporal reasoning in Video-LLMs. Given the beginning and ending clips of a video, models must identify the true missing middle from four candidates. TempCloze contains 1,521 carefully filtered videos from seven sources, mainly long-take and egocentric videos. We construct same-source distractors along three dimensions: Semantic asks what event should happen, Alignment probes when it should occur, and Progression tests how it should unfold, while shared scenes and objects reduce appearance cues. Our evaluation of 10 proprietary and 21 open-source Video-LLMs reveals Alignment as the primary bottleneck: models often recognize plausible semantic content and local event progression but struggle with temporal alignment. We further conduct error pattern and behavioral sensitivity analyses on TempCloze-Mixed and TempCloze-Hard with four representative models to examine where errors arise and how candidate order, context direction, visible span, frame density, and test-time scaling influence model choices.

A Wearable Pneumatic Device for Continuous, Closed-Loop, Bidirectional Tactile Interaction

We present a system of two wearable pneumatic haptic devices that supports continuous, closed-loop, bidirectional tactile interaction at perceptually relevant force and temporal scales. A single device can contain up to twelve pressure sensing channels connected to textile-based pneumatic pouches. Each channel in a device can be used as a sensor, an actuator, or both. As an actuator with integrated sensing, the channel generates stable skin indentation through local closed-loop control. As a sensor, a channel can be mounted (or worn) on any surface, including on a robot gripper or on the human body, and used to measure touch interactions with the environment or a human user. A distributed architecture supports sustained pressure output, rapid dynamic response, and wireless pairing of identical devices in a system to transmit and reproduce tactile pressure signals in real time. Device-level characterization demonstrates force bandwidth exceeding 30 Hz, rapid and well-damped step responses, and extended pressure retention compared to prior compact pneumatic platforms. Human studies show that pressure-based fingertip feedback enables discrimination of force and stiffness, improves teleoperated manipulation by reducing applied pressures by up to 23.1% and task duration by up to 27.4%, and lowers subjective mental workload by 18.8%, particularly under visually constrained conditions. By unifying tactile sensing and haptic feedback within a single pneumatic modality, the device provides a practical foundation for bidirectional touch interaction in teleoperation.

GarmentWeaver: Schema-Aware Structured Synthesis for Multimodal Sewing Patterns

Multimodal Sewing pattern generation aims to infer executable sewing patterns from design cues such as sketches and textual descriptions. As an interpretable and simulation-compatible representation, sewing patterns are particularly valuable for digital garment creation. However, existing methods often model garment specifications as flat long sequences, which entangles garment structure with detailed parameters and leads to redundant components, inaccurate local details, and poor simulation compatibility. In this paper, we present GarmentWeaver, a schema-aware framework for multimodal Sewing pattern generation. GarmentWeaver constructs compact hierarchical targets by activating garment-relevant structural branches and predicts executable Sewing patterns in a structured manner. Specifically, we introduce a schema-aware target construction strategy, build the generator on top of a pretrained vision-language model for multimodal garment understanding, and impose feasibility-aware regularization to encourage structurally valid and simulation-compatible outputs. Extensive experiments show that GarmentWeaver produces more accurate and more executable sewing patterns than strong baselines, while also yielding better simulation results. These findings demonstrate the effectiveness of schema-aware structured generation for reliable multimodal Sewing pattern prediction.

FlowVVTON: Flow-Guided Mask-Free Video Virtual Try-On

Video virtual try-on aims to transfer a target garment onto a moving person across video frames. Current methods rely on human parsing masks or pose keypoints that frequently fail under large motions and occlusions, causing boundary artifacts and temporal inconsistency. A further limitation is that most approaches rely solely on attention mechanisms for temporal modeling, providing no explicit motion supervision. We propose FlowVVTON, a mask-free framework that eliminates parsing mask dependency entirely. Optical flow is used solely as a training-time supervision signal: a flow-warped latent loss, applied across all layers of the generation model, enforces multi-scale temporal consistency by aligning adjacent-frame features under explicit physical motion constraints. A two-stage training strategy establishes mask-free spatial alignment before introducing flow-guided temporal supervision. Experiments on TikTokDress show that FlowVVTON outperforms baselines by substantial margins, particularly in temporal consistency (5.7×\times VFID-R improvement over SwiftTry), while requiring no segmentation masks, pose keypoints, or region annotations at any stage.

Proximity3D: Shape from Capacitive Proximity on Sensing Manifold

Most shape reconstruction methods assume measurements defined over planar sensing domains, such as RGB images or depth maps. In this paper, we use a curved capacitive textile as a shape sensor, treating its surface as a non-planar sensing manifold. Each scan is represented as a capacitive proximity field on this manifold, induced by the interaction between the curved electrode layout and nearby object geometry. We introduce a multi-view feedforward reconstruction model that aggregates these fields across known sensor views and recovers the observed object shape. Simulated and physical experiments demonstrate robust reconstruction from capacitive proximity signals acquired on curved sensing surfaces, pointing toward a new route to robotic near-field geometric awareness via embodied sensing.

Beyond Global Realism: Virtual Try-On Evaluation and Optimization with Dimension-wise Garment Fidelity Assessment

Virtual try-on (VTON) requires not only realistic generation but also faithful preservation of garment characteristics. However, existing evaluation metrics such as PSNR, SSIM, KID and FID struggle to measure the consistency between the generated and reference garments, particularly in capturing the multi-dimensional characteristics of garment fidelity. To address this, we propose DAT: a Dimension-wise Assessment framework for virtual Try-on, which decomposes garment consistency into seven interpretable dimensions: silhouette, color, neckline and sleeve shape, major decoration and structure, material texture, fine-detail fidelity, and logo preservation, each formulated as a discrete attribute-level prediction task. To train this specialized assessment model, we adopt a two-stage learning paradigm comprising large-scale weak supervision on 50K samples, followed by refinement on 10K higher-quality annotations obtained via multi-model voting. Furthermore, we employ weighted cross-entropy loss to mitigate the severe label imbalance inherent across evaluation dimensions. Beyond its role as an evaluation framework, the assessment model can be integrated into reinforcement learning optimization of Qwen-Image-Edit for VTON, where dimension-wise rewards are adaptively aggregated to emphasize under-optimized aspects during training. Experimental results show that our method (8B parameters) achieves state-of-the-art performance in terms of balanced accuracy, SROCC, and PLCC, outperforming strong proprietary models such as Gemini-3.1, Qwen3.7-plus, and GPT-5.5, while also serving as an effective optimization signal for reward-guided VTON generation

Higher-Dimensional Rotary Position Embedding

Transformers rely on position embedding mechanisms in long context modeling in most cases. Rotary Position Embedding (RoPE) embeds positional information with independent 2D rotations, forming relative position terms in self-attention. However, its pairwise, block-based, and decoupled structure limits deep mixing and robustness across channels. We propose HD-RoPE, which extends RoPE from independent 2D rotations to higher-dimensional rotations and introduces a Paley-I orthogonal basis to obtain balanced, isotropic, and dense phase mixing within each rotation subspace. This significantly enhances channel coupling and rotational degrees of freedom while maintaining orthogonal stability and the relative position closure property. Furthermore, HD-RoPE is easily optimized for engineering efficiency without introducing additional trainable parameters. We have conducted extensive evaluation results demonstrating that HD-RoPE achieves significant performance improvements over standard RoPE across various popular benchmarks and in both long and short contexts.

Attribute-Conditioned Multimodal Slot Factorization for Controllable Fashion Retrieval

Fashion retrieval often requires satisfying multiple attributes at once, such as category, color, pattern, and demographic. Monolithic embeddings mix these signals into a single vector, making attribute-specific control difficult at retrieval time. Many existing semantic-ID methods provide discrete item codes, but these codes are typically optimized as item-level or residual addresses and do not expose named, independently controllable attribute slots. We introduce MM-slotgate, a multimodal slot encoder that factorizes Fashion-CLIP text and image embeddings into four named attribute slots. Each slot learns its own text-image gate, so visually grounded attributes such as color and pattern can rely more on image evidence, while taxonomy-oriented attributes such as category and demographic can remain more text-driven. On H&M, using a combined slot-similarity and slot-logit retrieval score, MM-slotgate achieves 0.7566 macro ConstraintSatisfied@10, outperforming equal-weight multimodal fusion (0.7142) and fCLIP text-only retrieval (0.4755). The largest gain is on color, which improves from 0.321 to 0.889 (+0.568 absolute), as the learned color gate assigns 57.4% weight to image evidence. The learned gates are interpretable without modality supervision: color is image-leaning, category is text-leaning, and pattern and demographic lie near the middle. The resulting slots also remain controllable: linear probes show no measured excess leakage beyond the label-correlation baseline, and quantized slot codes support targeted intervention, including a 15.3x lift for color. These results suggest that controllable fashion retrieval benefits from typed, attribute-conditioned multimodal slots rather than either a single global embedding or opaque item-level semantic IDs.

Robotic Fabric Alignment System for Sewing Using Global Local Weighted ICP

Accurate fabric alignment is a critical step that must be performed before sewing. This paper presents a novel automated fabric alignment system. The system estimates the poses of top and bottom fabric panels, lying flat and wrinkle-free in arbitrary positions, using a new Global Local Weighted Iterative Closest Point (GLW-ICP) method. The system then manipulates the top panel to achieve precise alignment at both edges and sewing lines. Unlike conventional approaches, GLW-ICP robustly aligns both global edges and local sewing lines by globally aligning fabric edge points and locally aligning sewing line points to their corresponding CAD model points, while removing unmatched points in occluded regions. Real-world experiments with various fabric shapes show that the system consistently achieves millimeter-level alignment accuracy under both occlusion and non-occlusion conditions, demonstrating its effectiveness and suitability for automated fabric alignment in practical scenarios.

FemWear: A Parameter-Efficient Wearable Foundation Model for Women's Health

General-purpose wearable foundation models are pretrained on broad sensor streams and populations, but their representations are not organized around women's health. FemWear is a women's wearable foundation model, obtained by parameter-efficiently repurposing a pretrained general multimodal wearable backbone into a specialized representation for women's health. It keeps the pretrained patch projection and Transformer encoder frozen and trains 239,236 encoder parameters - 1.11% of a 21.54M-parameter encoder - through low-rank residual adapters and causal task-family heads, producing one shared longitudinal representation for menstrual, symptom, affective, sleep/recovery, autonomic, activity, and pregnancy outcomes. We evaluate six cohorts with 63 comparable primary metrics, 33 from women's-health cohorts, while retaining the 32-task OpenMHC ability-retention benchmark. On a fixed participant split over three seeds, FemWear improved cycle-phase macro-F1 by 8.15% and reduced mean absolute error for cramps, mood symptoms, and sleep problems by 9.32%, 5.80%, and 9.43%; 24-hour onset AUPRC decreased by 3.40%. A stricter 42-participant nested leave-one-participant-out audit retained positive changes for 24-hour onset (+2.87%), 72-hour onset (+6.35%), and cramps (+2.19%), while phase, mood, and sleep changes were neutral or negative and no endpoint had a strictly positive corrected confidence interval. Capacity-matched experiments beat a latest-day multilayer perceptron but not shared-GRU or multi-gate mixture-of-experts baselines. Train-only calibration reduced onset expected calibration error by 84.2-88.2% with zero temporal-nesting violations. FemWear is therefore a women's wearable foundation model: a reproducible, parameter-efficient specialization delivering targeted transfer across women's-health tasks and coherent probability outputs.

VTO: Visual Tool Orchestration for Video Anomaly Detection

Video anomaly detection (VAD) is a critical yet challenging task due to the complex and diverse nature of real-world scenarios. Traditional deep learning approaches are fundamentally limited by poor generalization across diverse scenarios. While multimodal agents offer a promising tool-learning paradigm for VAD, current systems relying on supervised fine-tuning struggle with complex orchestration, and standard reinforcement learning often causes premature termination due to coarse-grained outcome rewards. To address these challenges, we propose VTO, a process-supervised reinforcement learning framework. Moving beyond static tool usage, VTO enables the agent to dynamically explore and interact with the environment. Specifically, we introduce a foundation model-driven cognitive evaluator to provide context-aware semantic feedback, which is seamlessly integrated into a Process-Supervised Cognitive Alignment that delivers fine-grained, step-wise supervision. By explicitly penalizing logical truncation and rewarding complete causal chains, the agent optimizes its multi-step reasoning policy for interrelated tool orchestration. To support our proposed framework, we meticulously crafted VAD-Tool, a hierarchical visual tool set comprising 12 specialized vision tools spanning from entity tracking to high-stakes hazard detection, and established the corresponding benchmark for rigorous multi-step reasoning evaluation. Extensive experiments on VAD-Tool demonstrate that VTO significantly outperforms baselines, achieving up to a 10.2% absolute accuracy improvement in tool scheduling. Controllable Clothing: Precise Labels and Generation for Virtual Try-On with Latent Diffusion Models

In this technical report, I present a new method for guiding image generation in the context of Virtual- Try-On (VITON). The proposed method leverages new open source Ai models to augment the image data with labels, such as lengths and styles. By training adapters with these labels paired with images of the garments, the model can produce a more diverse set of images that the user can control. For the end user, such as a retailer, this means that they can assure that the produced image is as true to the true fit as possible, not misleading consumers

UniVVT: A Unified End-to-End Framework for High-Fidelity Video Virtual Try-on

Video Virtual Try-On (VVT) synthesizes a video of a person wearing a target garment while preserving identity, motion, and scene dynamics. Dominant approaches cast VVT as mask-conditioned video inpainting and rely on separate modules for human parsing, pose estimation, and garment warping. This multi-stage design complicates deployment and, more critically, allows errors in explicit geometric priors to propagate irreversibly into the generated video. We present UniVVT, a unified end-to-end framework that reframes VVT as semantically conditioned video generation, eliminating mask, pose, and warping modules at inference. At its core, a scene-task perceiver built on a Multimodal Large Language Model jointly encodes the source video, target garment, and task instruction into compact, task-aware latent tokens, implicitly capturing what to transfer and where and how to transfer it. A lightweight semantic bridge then aligns these tokens with the conditioning space of a diffusion-based video generator, enabling coherent garment transfer. To robustly couple the heterogeneous components, we devise a three-stage progressive training strategy comprising semantic alignment, joint task adaptation, and flexible-resolution refinement. Extensive experiments demonstrate that UniVVT achieves state-of-the-art performance across multiple benchmarks, validating implicit semantic guidance as a simple and effective alternative to fragile geometric preprocessing for end-to-end virtual try-on.

Automated Straight-line Sewing of Stretchable Fabrics with Different Lengths

Different Length Alignment Sewing (DLAS), which involves stretching the shorter fabric to match the longer one and sewing them together in a straight line, is a challenging task that needs to satisfy several requirements when automating the sewing process. To address the challenges, this research proposes a novel robotic sewing system, Different Length Robotic Sewing System (DLRoSS), which consists of a roller type end-effector, attached to a 6-DoF manipulator. The end-effector composed of active shorter and longer fabric rollers, and a passive press-roller attached to the shorter-fabric roller. Assuming that one end of the two fabric layers are initially positioned under the sewing machine's presser foot, the system automates DLAS by operating in four distinct phases. (P1) Fabric wrapping: Individual fabric layers are picked, held, and wrapped from the other end onto the feed rollers. (P2) Sewing: During the sewing, the shorter fabric is stretched and aligned with the longer fabric in real-time using roller velocity control based on the sewing speed and apriori known length ratio. (P3) Sewing completion: In the final sewing round on the fabric rollers, the press roller is engaged to prevent the stretched fabric from slipping off due to internal tension. (P4) Sewing fabric release: At the end of sewing, the fabric edge moves past the press roller, and the fabric releases from the rollers. Experimental results demonstrate that DLRoSS achieves consistent, high-quality sewing of stretchable fabrics of different materials and lengths.

Forwardrobe: Garment-Aware Gaussian Avatars from a Single Image

Reconstructing animatable 3D human avatars from a single image remains particularly challenging for loose garments, whose geometry and motion cannot be adequately represented by body-aligned topology and skinning. We present Forwardrobe, a feed-forward framework for reconstructing garment-aware Gaussian avatars from a single image. Forwardrobe explicitly separates clothing from the body in canonical Gaussian space and equips the garment layer with continuity-aware geometry and skinning initialization, pose-conditioned non-rigid deformation, and appearance adaptation. These designs improve garment reconstruction and visual quality during animation, particularly for skirts and dresses. The separated garment layer additionally forms an independently controllable 3D asset, enabling garment editing, transfer, and 3D virtual try-on. Experiments demonstrate improved garment reconstruction quality and greater flexibility in garment manipulation compared with existing single-image avatar reconstruction methods.

VSTaI: Design and Characterization of Variable-Stiffness Tactile Interfaces Based on 3D-Printed Structured Fabrics

Realistic palpation training requires reliable rendering of soft tissue stiffness changes in real time, which is difficult to achieve with conventional simulators. This paper presents a compact, variable-stiffness tactile interface (VSTaI) based on vacuum-induced jamming of 3D-printed structured fabrics. A vacuum-sealed fabric layer is sandwiched between two silicone layers, and stiffness is tuned by regulating internal pressure. Four fabric patterns with different geometric parameters were fabricated and evaluated using force-indentation tests under atmospheric and vacuum conditions. Across the tested pattern and geometry combinations, vacuum jamming increased stiffness significantly, producing an effective modulus from sub-megapascal to megapascal levels. Specifically, one configuration exhibited a stiffness increase of up to 140% under the jammed state. Circular chainmail patterns provided the most spatially uniform distribution of tactile stiffness, while denser geometries reached higher peak stiffness. VSTaI was also shown to exhibit excellent conformability to the underlying geometry. These results support structured-fabric jamming as a practical approach for shape-conformable, tunable-stiffness displays aimed at physical examination training.

Effective Parameters, Real Behavior: Renormalization for Robotics -- From Infinite Electron Mass to Sim-to-Real Gap

Bridging the sim-to-real gap is a central problem in robotics, and the prevailing approach is to build increasingly accurate simulators. Here, we propose another approach based on renormalization: using effective, resolution-dependent parameters to absorb details omitted by the simulator and reproduce real behavior. These parameters may differ from measured physical values because they compensate for what the simulator leaves out. We demonstrate this mechanism analytically for proportional--derivative (PD) control at finite simulation frequency, where proportional feedback changes the effective derivative gain and derivative feedback changes the effective inertia. We then interpret dynamic rope manipulation and underwater swimming through the same perspective. Finally, we present a practical procedure for choosing observables, identifying omitted physics, and determining effective parameters. Renormalization offers robotics a complementary path across the sim-to-real gap: effective parameters, real behavior.

Mission-Level Runtime Assurance for LLM-Assisted ISR Swarms over a Verification-Aware Fabric

Swarms of LLM-assisted autonomous robots are increasingly proposed for cooperative intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) in contested environments. A growing class of their assurance failures arises not within any single platform but across the swarm: individually-compliant actions compose into a mission-level violation: a prohibited objective split across platforms to evade per-platform lim- its, or a collective budget quietly exceeded. Per-platform guardrails miss these by construction, and contested communications let the violation hide behind lost or delayed evidence. We present a three-tier (platfor- m/squad/mission) compositional runtime-verification framework that de- composes a mission policy into per-agent and cross-agent aspects, aggre- gates per-platform verdicts over a verification-aware messaging fabric, and fuses them with an evidence-aware, two-axis (security x complete- ness) algebra whose provenance names the platforms that jointly trig- gered a violation. Because the fabric makes evidence loss and silence observable, unsupported negative verdicts are downgraded to an explicit unknown rather than reported as mission-wide all-clears. On a simulated ISR mission, an indirect prompt injection that causes real LLM planners to split a prohibited collection task across four platforms is invisible to every per-platform monitor yet detected compositionally with full prove- nance; under an injected fault campaign a best-effort central monitor emits silent false all-clears while the verification-aware fabric emits none

Fashion-3DLR: A Controllable 3D Garment Generation Using Pairwise Fashion Elements for Intelligent Design

AI-generated content (AIGC) has made significant progress, with 2D generative models becoming ready-to-use tools for the digital fashion industry. However, 3D garment generation remains in its nascent stage, where in the realm of fashion, the semantic information of diverse design elements exhibits intricate coupling relationships in 3D representations, posing substantial challenges for generating diverse 3D garments. In this work, to handle the above problem, We introduce Fashion-3DLR, a novel 3D garment generation framework that utilizes diverse design elements to create high-quality, versatile 3D garment assets. Specifically, to bridge the semantic gaps between different fashion elements, we propose a Garment Feature Fusion Diffusion Transformer (GFF-DiT) module to integrate 2D fashion design elements, e.g., sketch and texture, into latent space. Within the latent space, we then employ a rectified flow transformer to generate geometry latents, which can be decoded into various 3D garment representations, including 3D Gaussians and meshes. Furthermore, we integrate Fashion-3DLR into downstream tasks, achieving the 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS)-driven cloth physical simulation and mesh-based virtual try-on. Experimental results indicate that Fashion-3DLR surpass the previous state-of-the-art methods, which verify that the proposed work can generate well-structured, non-watertight garments capable of physical simulation and virtual try-on, underscoring its potential as a versatile 3D garment design tool.

Layering Virtual Try-On

In the real world, fashion is about layering: adding a jacket over a shirt, or a sequence of adding and removing layers, rather than just a single-layer swap. This fundamental real-world task remains a challenge in existing Virtual Try-On (VTON) methods, which excel at single-layer replacement but are not designed to layer or de-layer an existing outfit. This paper proposes Layering Virtual Try-On (LVTON), a layering benchmark and method that preserves an existing outfit while enabling sequential layering. We find that current VTON paradigms are fundamentally ill-equipped for LVTON, as their reliance on cloth-agnostic representations and single-item datasets discards essential layering context. Our key insight is that the LVTON challenge must be disentangled into two distinct competencies: (1) General VTON Priors (e.g., deformation, identity preservation) and (2) Specific Layering Knowledge (e.g., layering order and occlusion reasoning). First, our model obtains general VTON priors by being trained on data produced by an automatic data generation pipeline that synthesizes samples from fashion videos via segmentation and inpainting. Second, the model is fine-tuned on a small, dedicated LVTON dataset to learn the layering logic. Our method achieves state-of-the-art results on our LVTON benchmark and demonstrates superior generalizability on traditional VTON benchmarks, setting new state-of-the-art results when fine-tuned and exhibiting zero-shot capabilities.

Oxygen-TryOn: Fashion-Native Foundation Model for Any-item Virtual Try-On

We present Oxygen-TryOn, a unified foundation model for any-item virtual try-on. Rather than repurposing a general-purpose image editor, Oxygen-TryOn is fashion-native, built for try-on through a dedicated data engine and try-on-specific training. Given one or more reference items (clean product shots or in-the-wild worn-on photos) and a single target subject image, it synthesizes a photorealistic image of the subject wearing the items across virtually any fashion category. Prior systems handle a single garment category in a studio setting, and recent multi-reference methods remain garment-centric; in contrast, Oxygen-TryOn supports diverse items and scenarios, including full- and half-body views, a variable number of references, and free multi-item composition, while faithfully preserving both subject identity and item appearance. Instead of mask-based inpainting, we reformulate try-on as a multi-reference, understanding-driven generation task. We build a data engine that collects, manufactures, annotates, and filters high-quality try-on data at scale, and design a three-stage recipe of continued pre-training (CPT), supervised fine-tuning (SFT), and reinforcement learning (RL). The RL stage uses a hybrid reward combining an in-house try-on reward model with a proprietary, rubric-guided general-purpose model, jointly supervising fine-grained consistency and instruction-level quality. It also follows general editing instructions (e.g., pose changes) in the same pass. Across public benchmarks and our in-house Oxygen-TryOn Bench, it achieves state-of-the-art consistency and realism on single-item try-on and leads on multi-item try-on, matching or surpassing both leading proprietary systems (Nano Banana Pro, GPT-Image-2, Seedream5 Lite) and open-source models (FLUX.2).

Learning-based Seam Correspondence Reconstruction in Sewing Patterns

Digital sewing patterns typically consist of disjoint 2D panels without explicit stitch annotations, making downstream 3D modeling reliant on labor-intensive expert specification. In this paper, we present a graph-based learning framework that reconstructs two-level stitching information, coarse panel connectivity and fine-grained seam correspondence, from 2D panel geometry alone. At the coarse level, panel connectivity is inferred by predicting panel semantics associated with anatomical body regions, enforcing consistency with body structure and garment design conventions. Based on the reconstructed panel graph, fine-grained seam correspondences between panel pairs are inferred by learning latent edge representations that jointly encode local seam geometry and global garment context through graph message passing. The resulting edge embeddings are subsequently decoded into detailed seam correspondences. Our method supports complex sewing-pattern topologies, including many-to-one correspondences, intra-panel seams, and curved seams. Experiments demonstrate high stitching accuracy and strong generalization across garment styles.

Diverse-Intent Multi-Turn Fashion Image Retrieval

Real-world fashion search involves interactive retrieval across multiple turns. However, existing multi-turn retrieval methods are built on a restrictive assumption that every interaction follows the same attribute-editing paradigm, leaving heterogeneous intent transitions unexplored. Moreover, existing approaches often rely on textification to bridge multimodal queries and visual retrieval, which may lose fine-grained visual cues. To address these gaps, we introduce DIM-Fashion, a benchmark of 26K multi-turn sessions constructed from 13 fashion retrieval datasets across 7 tasks, featuring diverse intent transitions and rollback behaviors. We further propose FashionAM, an MLLM-VLP framework that directly aligns multimodal conversational queries with a fashion-oriented gallery embedding space, avoiding intermediate textification. Extensive experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of FashionAM over existing approaches. The dataset and code will be made publicly available upon acceptance.

WearWow: Native 2K Multi-Garment Virtual Try-On via Adaptive Token Packing and Preference Alignment

Synthesizing native 2K multi-garment virtual try-on is a formidable frontier in digital fashion, critically bottlenecked by two fundamental limitations: the O(N^2) memory explosion induced by 2k conditions, and the spectral bias of diffusion models that over-smooths high-frequency fabric details. We present WearWow, an end-to-end, mask-free generative framework that pioneers ultra-high-resolution multi-garment synthesis. To mitigate the memory explosion , we propose Adaptive 2D Token Packing (ATP). ATP leverages inherent garment sparsity to algorithmically pack heterogeneous items onto a unified 2D canvas and prune uninformative background tokens, minimizing the effective sequence length and subsequent memory overhead while rigorously preserving 2D spatial priors. To rectify texture degradation, we introduce the Multi-dimensional Try-on Reward (MTR) system. MTR synergizes a Semantic Guidance Reward to explicitly drive tactile restoration with a Cloth Distribution Reward to implicitly anchor the physical distribution, a joint formulation that effectively mitigates the severe reward hacking. Furthermore, we curate WearWow-2K, an extreme-quality dataset comprising native 2K triplets, providing physically correct spatial interactions that naturally empower the model's mask-free generation. Extensive experiments demonstrate that WearWow establishes a new state-of-the-art, exceeding existing commercial baselines in native 2K multi-garment synthesis.

ChronoStitch: Training-Free Composition of Visual KV Memories for Long-Horizon Temporal Reasoning

Long-video question answering requires a model to preserve visual evidence over time without repeatedly reprocessing the same video. A practical approach is to store the vision-language model's internal key-value (KV) cache for each video chunk and retrieve that state at query time. However, independently cached video chunks do not compose correctly: every chunk is prefilled from local rotary position zero, so naive concatenation collides temporal phases and removes the global order required for questions about what happened first, how often events occurred, or what changed across the video. This paper presents ChronoStitch, a training-free method for composing independently stored visual KV memories. The method first re-bases stored post-rotary keys onto a global three-axis multimodal RoPE coordinate system that preserves time, height, and width structure. We show why a one-dimensional scalar re-indexing is geometrically inconsistent for visual tokens because it turns spatial order within a frame into false temporal displacement. We then address the residual content gap left by positional repair: later chunks were originally encoded without attending to earlier chunks. ChronoStitch therefore selectively recomputes a small fraction of high-deviation later-chunk visual tokens while allowing them to attend over the composed cache. On Qwen2.5-VL-3B and the temporal split of TempCompass, ChronoStitch outperforms naive composition and position-only variants, improving event-ordering accuracy while running 3.3x faster than full joint re-prefilling.

Fabric Pneumatic Artificial Muscles Based on the Drawstring Principle

Pneumatic artificial muscles have wide applications in robotics and industrial fields. Conventional pneumatic artificial muscles generate extra radial deformation during axial contraction, which severely wastes available working space. Inspired by the widely adopted drawstring principle in textile products, this paper proposes a novel drawstring fabric pneumatic artificial muscle (DPAM). Unlike traditional counterparts, the proposed DPAM produces no extra radial deformation during contraction, greatly improving structural compactness. The DPAM exhibits outstanding mechanical performance: a load capacity over 800 times its self-weight, a maximum contraction ratio of 44%, and a power density up to 4.98 kW/kg, alongside excellent scalability. Two representative application scenarios, bionic robots and industrial production lines, are demonstrated to validate its practicability. The DPAM can be easily expanded within a two-dimensional plane, as verified by the fabricated DPAM matrix. This work not only presents a high-performance novel pneumatic artificial muscle but also inspires researchers to draw design inspiration from conventional textile structures to address existing challenges in soft robotics.

Stitch-Inferencer: Enhance Endoscopic Video Segmentation and Tracking via Panoramic Reconstruction

Surgical video understanding is fundamental to navigation systems. Endoscopic perception is often hindered by a limited field-of-view and frequent instrument occlusions, making spatio-temporal context essential for robust inference. These challenges have motivated video models that aggregate information across frames. However, existing video models typically store past observations implicitly in learned feature representations, often requiring task-specific video training, substantial annotated data, and increased computational cost. We propose Stitch-Inferencer, a real-time, model-agnostic inference framework that replaces implicit feature memory with an explicit image-space panoramic canvas. By stitching valid observations across frames, Stitch-Inferencer preserves previously observed pixels in an online, instrument-free view, expanding the effective field-of-view and providing direct access to regions that are temporarily occluded or absent from the current frame. Downstream segmentation or tracking models are applied to a compact region of interest on the panorama, and their predictions are reprojected to the current frame, enabling existing models to exploit long-range context without retraining. Experiments on anatomy segmentation and point/box tracking demonstrate consistent improvements across diverse baselines while preserving real-time throughput. The stitching module alone runs at over 60 FPS, providing a practical inference-time solution to enhance endoscopic perception in computationally constrained intraoperative environments. Source code will be made publicly available.

TAMF-VTON: Texture-Aware Mask-Free Virtual Try-On via High-Fidelity Image Synthesis

Recent diffusion-based virtual try-on (VTON) methods remain limited by their reliance on segmentation masks, insufficient preservation of fine-grained textures, and limited support for arbitrary multi-garment compositions. Consequently, existing approaches still face significant challenges in real-world e-commerce deployment. We present TAMF-VTON, a texture-aware, mask-free framework that enables high-fidelity image synthesis under practical unconstrained conditions. Our method requires no human parsing or inpainting masks at inference time and supports diverse garment styles, categories, and quantities, enabling the simultaneous transfer of multiple items while preserving body structure and intricate texture details. This is achieved through a unified generative pipeline with three key components: (1) a lightweight Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) adaptation scheme that enables efficient fine-tuning without compromising the base model's general editing capabilities; (2) a frequency-domain supervision mechanism that explicitly optimizes high-frequency spectral consistency to preserve high-fidelity textures; and (3) a robust data curation pipeline employing an adaptive inpainting strategy to simulate the inverse VTON process for high-quality training pair generation. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our approach outperforms state-of-the-art methods in both quantitative metrics and perceptual quality. Optimized for efficiency, the model achieves inference in under 15 seconds per image on an NVIDIA RTX 4090 with INT4 quantization. By combining mask-free operation, flexible multi-garment composition, faithful texture preservation, and efficient inference on consumer hardware, TAMF-VTON demonstrates a commercially viable solution for scalable deployment in real-world digital fashion scenarios. When Bots Join the Team: Bot Adoption and the Institutional Fabric of Open-Source Software Projects

AI agents are joining human teams, raising a basic question: when an automated agent becomes a regular participant, does group organization strengthen or weaken? We study this question in open-source software, where bots open pull requests, review code, and merge changes alongside people, leaving a public record of every interaction. Treating bots as participants rather than tools, we examine 2,991 GitHub projects for two years before and after each adopted its first bot. We measure three capabilities that institutional theory links to durable coordination - repeated engagement, social memory, and role differentiation - and two outcomes: conflict cascades and output distinctiveness. Bot adoption is followed by more repeated collaboration, greater recognition of specific bots in discussion, fewer conflict cascades, and more distinctive outputs. These changes cluster around adoption rather than accumulating gradually. Because we lack an untreated comparison group, we interpret the results as precisely timed associations, not causal effects. Two patterns are difficult for alternative explanations to account for: capabilities predict outcomes according to their function - coordination versus differentiation - rather than whether humans or bots provide them, and human-side capabilities account for the bot-conflict association but not the bot-distinctiveness association. The findings are consistent with a specific interpretation: predictable, rule-based agents can become part of a community's social infrastructure. The bot is the occasion; social organization is the mechanism.

T3HG-Editor: Text-driven 3D Human Garment Editing with Body Priors Embedded in SMPL-X

While 3D Gaussian Editing (3DGE) has seen substantial progress, text-driven 3D human garment editing remains largely underexplored. Existing 3DGE works typically follow a paradigm that applies 2D editing techniques to multi-view rendered images and updates 3D Gaussians based on the modified images. Extending such methods to 3D human garment editing suffers from low-fidelity outcomes, caused by introduced distortions and garment inconsistencies. A promising breakthrough opportunity arises from the SMPL eXpressive (SMPL-X) model that embodies rich prior information for virtual humans. Motivated by this insight, we propose a text-driven 3D human garment editor termed T3HG-Editor, which delivers high-fidelity and garment consistent results by leveraging geometry and joint priors embedded in SMPL-X. Specifically, T3HG-Editor contains three stages, namely obtainment of editable Gaussians, garment consistent editing, and Gaussian updating with overflow pruning. The obtainment of editable Gaussians begins with seeding Gaussians along SMPL-X normals to generate sufficient near surface Gaussians, followed by a 2D mask constraint that precisely localizes the target Gaussians to be edited. The garment consistent editing aggregates tokens corresponding to the same SMPL-X vertex across multiple views and propagates them to their original views, enforcing garment consistency without requiring additional training. Gaussian updating with overflow pruning employs a Signed Distance Function (SDF) defined on SMPL-X to construct a human distance field, which is then integrated with a 2D semantic mask to prune overflowing Gaussians, thus preventing contamination of non-target regions. Experiments on multiple subjects and diverse garment types demonstrate that T3HG-Editor outperforms state-of-the-art methods in both editing quality and garment consistency.

Mechanical Analysis of Parachute Suspension Line Deployment with Binding Tapes Using PINN

Parachutes are widely utilized in aviation, aerospace and lifesaving missions. As the initial stage of parachute deployment, suspension line extraction and straightening directly determines the smooth implementation of subsequent inflation procedures. This ultra-short process involves intricate dynamic load variations. Most existing studies adopt numerical integration of ordinary differential equations to calculate line tension, yet this method fails to rapidly acquire tension values at arbitrary positions along suspension lines. This paper develops a physics-informed neural network (PINN) algorithm for tension prediction during line extraction and straightening, which outperforms traditional integration methods in both computational efficiency and numerical accuracy. Furthermore, the regulatory law of binding tape parameters on line dynamic tension is investigated. Comparative validations against flight test data and conventional numerical results verify the reliability and effectiveness of the proposed PINN framework.

SeamGen: Artist-Aligned UV Seam Generation via Graph Flow Matching

UV seam placement is a critical yet labor-intensive step in 3D content creation, requiring artists to balance chart shape, seam concealment, and alignment with semantic and geometric features. Existing automatic methods are primarily based on per-object optimization, relying on handcrafted objectives to avoid distortion or on proxies from pretrained models to inject semantic information. However, these strategies are not always well aligned with seams used in industrial production pipelines, often resulting in layouts that deviate from artist-preferred seam patterns and practical production requirements. To address these limitations, we propose SeamGen, a generative model for UV seam generation that aligns with artist preferences and production requirements. Instead of depending on manually designed objectives and constraints, SeamGen learns the distribution of per-edge seam labels from a large corpus of existing seam layouts using a flow-matching generative model. A key challenge is that typical Transformer architectures used in flow matching models are designed for sequential representations, such as point clouds, and cannot naturally account for mesh topology. To enable mesh-native learning, we design a Mesh Transformer backbone that interleaves local graph attention over mesh edges with global self-attention across vertices, capturing both fine-grained geometric cues and long-range topological coherence. To further improve inference-time controllability and quality, we exploit the training-free inpainting capability of flow models for both localized seam refinement and constraint-guided seam generation. Extensive experiments show that by learning priors from professional seam layout data, SeamGen produces UV layouts that better align with artist-authored preferences and achieve superior perceptual quality compared with distortion-based and semantic-proxy baselines.

Structure-Detail Decoupled Autoregressive Generation for Fast and High-Fidelity Virtual Try-On

Virtual try-on (VTON) is a bi-conditional image generation problem that requires not only accurate person preservation but also faithful garment deformation and detail synthesis. Diffusion-based VTON methods can jointly model these factors in a compressed latent space, but suffer from high-frequency detail loss due to inherent latent compression, even with costly multi-step denoising. Recent visual autoregressive (VAR) models offer a promising alternative for high-quality generation with faster inference, yet remain unexplored for VTON due to the lack of effective bi-conditioning mechanisms. To bridge this gap, we first introduce VAR-VTON, a VAR-based VTON model that incorporates garment conditioning and structural guidance for efficient latent-space VTON. Despite its efficacy, latent-space generation still struggles to preserve fine-grained garment details. We argue that different VTON sub-tasks should be addressed in different representation spaces: structural synthesis such as garment warping and person layout is suited to the latent space, whereas fine-grained detail recovery should be tackled in the pixel space. Motivated by this insight, we further propose STAR-VTON, a Two-Stage AutoRegressive framework that builds upon VAR-VTON by decoupling latent-space structural synthesis from pixel-space detail recovery. Our idea is to resort to a matching-informed refiner to establish dense correspondences between the stage-one generation and the source garment to directly map fine-grained pixel-space details. Extensive experiments show that STAR-VTON achieves an impressive efficiency-fidelity trade-off: VAR-VTON runs at least 4×4\times faster than diffusion-based counterparts without degrading quality, and the pixel-space refiner effectively restores fine details and acts as a plug-and-play module that can benefit existing VTON approaches.

Wearing A Coat: Dual-Arm Robot-Assisted Dressing with Differentiable Clothing Simulation

The development of assistive robots for dressing tasks serves to augment human convenience and improve the quality of life for individuals with physical impairments. However, due to the intricate contact interactions between garments and the human limbs during dressing, most robot-assisted dressing algorithms treat clothing as an assembly of discrete segments, thereby struggling to manage the partial worn garments under contact constraints. To overcome this challenge, we propose a novel robotic dressing control algorithm that integrates realtime differentiable clothing simulation. The simulation algorithm employs explicit iterative scheme with intentionally introduced higher-order perturbations to enhance computational efficiency while maintaining stability under large time-step conditions. Through simulation, we resolve the garment state under contact constraints, which then enables a multi-phase control strategy for successful coat dressing assistance. To further improve real-time performance, we introduce a constrained local model along with its corresponding optimization solver, permitting high-frequency local compensation for the differentiable simulation based global controller. Finally, we experimentally validate our approach through both simulated and physical dressing scenarios, conclusively demonstrating its feasibility and efficacy

Chalito: An Extensible Library for Filtering-Based State Estimation in Quadruped Robots

State estimation is essential for quadruped robots, enabling robust locomotion, navigation, and control. While many estimators have been proposed in the literature, existing implementations are often tied to specific robots or software stacks, making fair comparisons difficult. This lack of a general-purpose benchmarking framework hinders reproducibility and slows down algorithmic innovation. In this paper, we introduce Chalito, an extensible MATLAB/Python library for benchmarking filter-based state estimation algorithms in quadruped robots. Chalito imports robot models directly from URDF, supports multiple filtering approaches, and is designed to be easily extended with new methods. The framework runs on both simulated and real datasets, enabling systematic evaluation across robots and filters. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first open-source library exclusively dedicated to benchmarking filtering algorithms for quadruped robots.

CtrlVTON: Controllable Virtual Try-On via Visual-Instance-Prompt Segmentation

Virtual try-on (VTO) has made significant progress in realistically transferring garments onto a target person. Yet most systems give the user little control over how a garment should be worn -- its size (loose or fitted), style (e.g., tucked in or untucked, open or closed), and spatial placement on the body. We address this gap with two complementary contributions. First, we define and solve Visual-Instance-Prompt Segmentation via VIP-SAM: given a flatlay image of a garment, segment that specific instance in a photograph of a person wearing it. This is an instance-level task, distinct from the typically studied category-level segmentation. Second, we introduce CtrlVTON, a controllable VTO framework that recasts try-on as an image editing problem and adds segmentation masks as pixel-level control over garment layout, including style, size, and spatial placement on the body. VIP-SAM and CtrlVTON each achieve state-of-the-art results on their respective tasks. In particular, CtrlVTON generates images that follow user-provided layouts far more faithfully than the strongest proprietary editing systems while matching them on garment fidelity.

Weaving Light and Time: Unified Harmonic-Geometric Representation Learning for Dense RGB-Event Parsing

Fusing standard RGB frames with asynchronous event streams has emerged as a definitive paradigm for robust perception in degraded environments. Although unified backbones have recently gained traction in multi-modal vision, adapting them to the RGB-Event domain remains fundamentally challenging. Existing architectures either resort to decoupled dual encoders that double computational overhead, or adopt generic unified designs that fail to resolve implicit geometric parallax and cross-spectral aliasing under the extreme representational divide between dense intensity grids and sparse kinematic spikes. To transcend these bottlenecks, we present Evita, the first unified backbone specifically engineered for dedicated dense RGB-Event parsing. To achieve profound modal synergy, Evita explicitly embeds a suite of intrinsic co-learning modules directly into every encoder layer. Specifically, it features Geometric Parallax Rectification for adaptive spatial alignment, Harmonic Spectral Resonance for texture transfer exclusively in the complex frequency domain, and Transient Global Routing for event-driven asymmetric attention. To guarantee robust feature extraction against spatial misalignments and decouple representations from specific event encodings, we construct N-ImageNetV2 alongside a stochastic event representation mixing pretraining protocol, empowering the network to seamlessly accommodate arbitrary event formats in downstream tasks. Extensive evaluations across the DELIVER, DDD17, and DSEC benchmarks confirm that Evita establishes new state-of-the-art metrics while delivering a superior accuracy-latency trade-off for real-time multimodal perception. The code are publicly available at: https://github.com/chaineypung/Evita.

AI for Cultural Heritage Textiles: Fine-Tuned Latent Diffusion for Novel Ulos Motif Synthesis

Preserving and revitalising traditional textiles such as Ulos, a cultural heritage of the Batak ethnic group in North Sumatra, Indonesia, requires balancing fidelity to tradition with innovative approaches that meet contemporary design demands. Traditional Ulos weaving faces two key limitations: a narrow range of motifs and a time-intensive design process. This study presents a generative AI framework that fine-tunes two pretrained latent diffusion models: Protogen v3.4 and Stable Diffusion v1.4, on a curated, annotated dataset of high-resolution Ulos motifs to generate culturally consistent yet novel designs. Model performance is evaluated quantitatively using Frechet Inception Distance (FID), Inception Score (IS), and qualitatively through assessments by traditional weavers and members of the public. Protogen v3.4 consistently outperforms Stable Diffusion v1.4, achieving substantially lower FID (~10.5x) and higher IS (2.0x), indicating superior visual fidelity, diversity, and closer alignment with the real Ulos motif distribution. We further examine the effects of strength and guidance scale on generation quality across both models. Lower strength values consistently yield higher fidelity (lower FID), while higher strength values increase generative diversity at the cost of realism, revealing a clear fidelity-diversity tradeoff for both models. Across all tested configurations, a guidance scale of 5-9 provides the most effective balance between fidelity and diversity, stabilising FID, KID, and IS, and is recommended as the operating range for high-quality, diverse Ulos motif generation. These findings demonstrate that carefully fine-tuned generative AI can support the creative renewal of intangible cultural heritage while preserving its stylistic and symbolic integrity.

SILO: Simulation-in-the-Loop Sim-to-Real Transfer for Multi-Stage Cable Routing

Linear-deformable manipulation remains challenging due to the complex deformations of objects such as cables and ropes. Prior data-driven approaches, particularly imitation learning, have shown some promise in narrowly defined settings but typically require thousands of demonstrations for specific tasks and cable types, limiting scalability and generalization. We introduce a sim-to-real reinforcement learning (RL) framework for multi-stage cable routing that leverages GPU-parallelized simulation to approximate linear deformable behaviors. Training across thousands of parallel simulations enables the learned policies to generalize across diverse cable geometries and deformation patterns. To bridge the sim-to-real gap, we propose a novel deployment strategy that combines a Simulation In the LOop (SILO) execution framework, localized RL policies, and robust cable state estimation. On real-world cable routing tasks, our approach achieves higher success rates and 2x reduction in cycle times compared to prior state-of-the-art learning methods. To our knowledge, this is the first successful sim-to-real transfer of RL policies for multi-stage cable routing. Spinning Straw into Gold: Relabeling LLM Agent Trajectories in Hindsight for Successful Demonstrations

Large language model agents operate in partially observable, long-horizon settings where obtaining supervision remains a major bottleneck. We address this by utilizing a source of supervision overlooked in existing post-training methods: unintended yet successful goals embedded within agent rollouts. Specifically, we introduce Hindsight Supervised Learning (HSL), where an auxiliary LLM reviews each completed trajectory and relabels it with all of the natural-language goals the agent actually achieved. HSL then pairs the trajectory with its relabeled goals and uses these pairs for additional fine-tuning. To mitigate suboptimality in the relabeled data, we propose two learning techniques for HSL, irrelevant-action masking and sample reweighting. Our experiments show that HSL is flexible and compatible with existing post-training pipelines. It improves both SFT and DPO, with larger gains on long-horizon tasks with more diverse goal spaces. Moreover, HSL is sample-efficient: on ALFWorld, it surpasses baselines trained on the full dataset while using only one quarter of the ground-truth demonstrations.

DetailAnywhere: Fashion Detail Generation via Cross-Modal Feature Alignment Distillation

Diffusion-based generative AI has achieved remarkable success in e-commerce applications such as virtual try-on, poster generation, and product background synthesis. However, when making online purchasing decisions for apparel, consumers also desire the freedom to examine specific detail regions of interest, such as collars, cuffs, and fabric textures, yet existing methods have not explicitly studied this setting. We therefore formalize a new, non-template task: Fashion Detail Generation with focus conditioning, and release FDBench, the first benchmark comprising 40K+ human-verified reference-detail pairs across 41 different categories. This task poses a unique semantic gap challenge: the model must bridge the correspondence between a focus marker on a product reference image and a photorealistic close-up view of the indicated region, while faithfully preserving the garment's identity, without any precise prompt. To bridge this gap, we propose Cross-modal Feature Alignment Distillation (CFAD), which leverages a fine-tuned DINOv3 teacher to align both branches of a Multimodal Diffusion Transformer in a shared semantic space via dual-branch distillation. To further improve consistency between generated details and reference images, we introduce a consistency reward model that jointly scores image pairs along three quality axes and optimizes generation via reinforcement learning. Experiments show that our model DetailAnywhere significantly outperforms all state-of-the-art opensource methods across all metrics and human evaluations.

Stitched Embeddings: A Unified Latent Space for 3D Garments and 2D Patterns

While garments are essential for realistic digital humans, their topological variety makes them much harder to model than parametric bodies. Traditional tailoring relies on 2D sewing patterns, yet bridging these patterns to 3D geometry currently requires physical simulations. We present Stitched Embeddings, the first simulation-free framework to unify 3D garment reconstruction and sewing pattern inference within a single bidirectional latent space. By leveraging the geometric priors of a pretrained 3D foundation model, our approach overcomes the data scarcity typically associated with high-quality garment modeling. We propose to use the BoxMesh as a critical intermediate representation to align 2D panels into 3D configurations without the computational overhead of a simulator. This architecture achieves state-of-the-art accuracy in pattern reconstruction while significantly improving efficiency. Furthermore, our differentiable pipeline enables novel applications, including pattern recovery from meshes and 3D editing from 2D patterns. Finally, this work provides a scalable link between neural 3D vision and the physical garment manufacturing pipeline. Project Page: https://andreus00.github.io/stitchedembeddings

SpheRoPE: Zero-Shot Optimization-Free 360 Panorama Generation with Spherical RoPE

We present a zero-shot, training-free and optimization-free framework for generating 360 panoramic images and videos by directly injecting spherical priors into pre-trained diffusion transformers. Existing methods either rely on costly fine-tuning on scarce panoramic data that limits generalization, or leverage multi-step optimization that incurs prohibitive inference latency. We observe that contemporary generative models natively exhibit some panoramic priors from large-scale training. However, these emergent capabilities are insufficient, as the models fundamentally fail to satisfy the rigorous topological constraints imposed by equirectangular projection (ERP). We introduce a zero-shot and optimization-free approach that resolves these constraints at inference time. Spherical RoPE replaces standard rotary position embeddings: low-frequency channels are re-parameterized as 3D Cartesian coordinates to natively encode the spherical manifold, while high-frequency channels are harmonically quantized to enforce exact periodicity. Coupled with complementary Semantic Distortion classifier-free guidance (CFG) that explicitly steers geometry, we avoid retraining and inherit the full creative breadth of state-of-the-art models. Our approach generalizes across diverse backbones and 360 generation modalities. We demonstrate this across text-to-panorama using Flux.1, Flux.2, and LTX-Video backbones, achieving competitive performance against baselines, all while remaining training-free. RRT-Rope: A deterministic shortening approach for fast near-optimal path planning in large-scale uncluttered 3D environments

Many path planning algorithms have been introduced so far, but most are costly, in path cost and in processing time, in large-scale uncluttered 3D environments such as underground mining stopes explored by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). Rapidly-exploring Random Tree (RRT) algorithms are popular because of their probabilistic completeness and rapidity in finding a feasible path in single-query problems. Many of the algorithms (e.g. Informed RRT*, RRT#) developed to improve RRT need considerable time to converge in large environments. Shortcutting an RRT is an old idea that has been proven to outperform RRT variants. This paper introduces a new method, RRT-Rope, that aims at finding a near-optimal solution in a drastically shorter amount of time. The proposed approach benefits from fast computation of a feasible path with an altered version of RRT-connect, and post-processes it quickly with a deterministic shortcutting technique, taking advantage of intermediate nodes added to each branch of the tree. This paper presents simulations and statistics carried out to show the efficiency of RRT-Rope, which gives better results in terms of path cost and computation time than other popular RRT variations and shortening techniques in all our simulation environments, and is up to 70% faster than the next best algorithm in a representative stope.

GarmentZoom: Generating Zoomable Images from Garment Listings

Online product listings for garments often include an overview photo and a close-up to show garment details. However, each photo focuses on either field of view or garment detail, forcing users to alternate between views and breaking browsing continuity. We present GarmentZoom, a system that enhances the full-view photo to match the fidelity of its accompanying close-up, enabling seamless zoom-and-pan exploration. Unlike standard reference-based super-resolution, our setting involves close-up references that are spatially unaligned with the full view, and scale factors that vary substantially across garments 3-20×\times. Prior work typically relies on alignment to transfer details or requires per-instance fine-tuning to memorize them. Instead, we train a single model that supports a continuous range of scales across diverse garments. Our approach synthesizes details without requiring spatial alignment and matches the quality of per-instance methods with a fraction of the training cost.

FDM-MFVT: Few-step Sampling Diffusion Model for Mask-Free Virtual Try-On

Image-based Virtual Try-On (IVTON) has greatly advanced through diffusion models, yet existing methods require many sampling steps and depend on masks with costly auxiliary networks. In addition, the absence of large-scale mask-free paired datasets further limits the development of mask-free IVTON. We propose FDM-MFVT, a few-step diffusion model for mask-free IVTON, integrating an Outfit-aware Noise Optimization Module (OANO) and an Instruction-driven Try-on Module (IDT) to enhance efficiency and flexibility. The OANO module initializes the alignment space with noise using the input image and only needs 6 steps to generate a higher-fidelity try-on image compared to 30 steps. The IDT module uses virtual try-on prompts and efficient adaptation to generate high-quality results from garment and person images alone. We further introduce MFVT, a 30,000-pair mask-free IVTON dataset. Experiments show that FDM-MFVT achieves superior quantitative and qualitative results with fewer inference steps than mask-based and mask-free baseline methods.

Virtual Ring Try-On

This paper presents an innovative approach that enables the users to capture their hand and try the jewel ring on their hand. The user captures the image of the hand using the React Native base GUI of the mobile application and selects the ring that the user wants to try, and the output image will have the user's hand with the ring image. This approach is implemented using a combination of MediaPipe hand point detection and YOLO-V8 custom object detection. The hand image uploaded by the user first undergoes mediapipe hand point detection. It will give the hand points and a Region of Interest mask where the ring is going to be placed. Then the ring is passed through YOLO object detection, in which ring points are detected, and background is removed. After that, using vector algebra, the angular discrepancy between the finger's reference axis and the ring's principal axis is computed. Also, ring size is rescaled according to finger thickness, preserving the aspect ratio to maintain perceptual realism. Then the ring is placed on the hand image and the output image is generated and shown on the user screen.

OrthoTryOn: Geometric Orthogonalization for Conflict-Free Unified Fashion Generation

Unified fashion generation integrates tasks like virtual try-on and garment reconstruction into a single model to reduce task-specific adaptation costs. However, naive parameter sharing across semantically distinct tasks induces negative transfer through severe inter-task gradient conflict. We propose OrthoTryOn, a unified framework mitigating this interference within a shared Low-Rank Adaptation (LoRA) module. Its Orthogonal Subspace Projection (OSP) applies task-specific orthogonal rotations to bottleneck features, mapping them into decorrelated coordinate frames. To address residual semantic coupling at inference time, we further propose Fisher-guided Negative Guidance (FNG), a parameter-free strategy that utilizes diagonal Fisher information to quantify inter-task sensitivity overlap and explicitly repels generation trajectories from the most confusable task via Classifier-Free Guidance. Extensive experiments demonstrate that OrthoTryOn avoids the severe performance degradation typical of naive unified training and even surpasses independently trained task-specific models, achieving state-of-the-art results across multiple benchmarks while generalizing robustly across diverse diffusion backbones. ModaFlow: Modality-Aware Flow Matching for High-Fidelity Virtual Try-On

Image-based virtual try-on has emerged as a compelling task in e-commerce and augmented reality, yet existing methods struggle to simultaneously preserve fine garment semantics and adapt to diverse person body geometries under large clothing-body deformations. We present ModaFlow, a modality-aware flow-matching based framework for high-fidelity virtual try-on that achieves precise alignment between textual descriptions and garment appearance. Unlike prior methods that treat multimodal conditions uniformly, ModaFlow introduces a modality-aware guidance scheme: visual garment embeddings extracted by a pretrained image prompt adapter provide deterministic, persistent structural guidance, while textual embeddings generated from garment descriptions are controlled via classifier-free guidance (CFG) with adaptive scaling and zero-initialized velocity. To further enhance flow field accuracy, we propose two regularization losses, cosine similarity and perceptual flow discrimination, that jointly improve directional consistency and perceptual realism of the velocity field. Additionally, a mask manipulation strategy stochastically samples among box, transparent, and relaxed masks during training, simulating diverse occlusion scenarios and enabling robust inference under unpaired settings where only a box mask is available. Experiments show that ModaFlow achieves state-of-the-art results in both qualitative and quantitative evaluations, reducing FID by approximately 30% on paired and 20% on unpaired benchmarks.

ZooClaw-FashionSigLIP2: Distilled Fine-tuning for Robust Fashion Retrieval

Adapting a foundation vision-language encoder to a specialized retrieval task creates a fundamental tradeoff: gains on the target distribution come at the cost of the foundation model's broad generalization, and fashion retrieval is a stringent instance of this problem. We present ZooClaw-FashionSigLIP2, a fashion-specialized SigLIP2-base model that resolves this tradeoff with a simple recipe -- full fine-tuning with knowledge distillation on curated in-domain data, followed by \wiseft~\citep{wortsman2022wiseft} weight interpolation with the base model -- and outperforms LoRA, larger backbones (up to 1B parameters), and external training data. Under fair evaluation, ZooClaw-FashionSigLIP2 outperforms all baselines on every benchmark in our suite. In addition, we release ZooClaw-Fashion, a new high-quality fashion retrieval benchmark, and a systematic quality analysis of widely-used benchmarks that exposes and mitigates structural biases in their public ground truth. We open-source the model weights and all evaluation artifacts to facilitate future research.

Learning to Fold: prizewinning solution at LeHome Challenge 2026 (1st place online, 2nd offline)

I describe my solution to the LeHome Challenge 2026, an ICRA 2026 competition on bimanual garment folding. The system placed 1st of 62 teams in the online (simulation) round and 2nd in the real-world final. It improves a vision-language-action (VLA) policy with a reinforcement-learning loop. The policy is its own value function: the same network that predicts actions also predicts success, progress, and a few task-relevant future quantities, and those predictions drive advantage estimation, live failure detection, and candidate selection. The work mostly recombines existing RL ideas with engineering and optimization contributions that can be used together as one recipe or individually: AWR + RECAP combined for flow-matching VLA; an asynchronous distributed training / rollout pipeline through HuggingFace Hub; inference-time hyperparameters optimization via Thompson sampling; a sim-to-real recipe with camera-alignment tooling, heavy augmentation and DAgger-like HIL data collection.
