4D Radar Perception Algorithms for Autonomous Driving: A Review

Research on 4D millimeter-wave radar perception algorithms has flourished in recent years, extending from signal processing and object detection to semantic segmentation, motion estimation, occupancy prediction, and dynamic scene reconstruction. This review organizes the field according to the evolution of perception tasks and algorithms. It first introduces radar fundamentals, data representations, and quality-enhancement methods, and then reviews object-level perception, motion and localization, local and dense spatial perception, and dynamic scene understanding. Across these directions, we compare radar-only learning, multimodal fusion, and cross-modal supervision and knowledge distillation. Particular attention is paid to how elevation, Doppler measurements, and radar physical priors are exploited across tasks. We further summarize the task coverage, input data, annotations, and evaluation protocols of existing datasets, clarifying the empirical support for different research directions. Finally, we discuss the common challenges and future directions of 4D radar perception for autonomous driving. This review provides a task-oriented perspective on the transition from sparse object perception to dynamic spatial understanding.

MEgoVista: Multi-view Ego-aware Motion Estimation for Metric 4D Hands and Head in the Wild

Learning manipulation from human video requires high-fidelity hand-motion reconstruction in metric units. Today's metric hand labels come from studio rigs and instrumented headsets, and both are confined in the same two ways: neither leaves a prepared setting, and neither is checked against an independent reference. Unconstrained head-worn recording promises the opposite trade-off, scaling with the number of people wearing a device. We therefore introduce MEgoVista, an offline pipeline that turns a single unprepared MEgo View recording into metric two-hand and head motion in one gravity-aligned world frame. Three properties set it apart from existing egocentric reconstruction systems: first, it reconstructs in settings studio volumes and tabletop rigs cannot reach, settling hand ownership at detection so bystander hands stay out of the wearer's trajectory; second, it takes its metric gauge from calibrated stereo rather than a monocular prior, installing scale at initialisation so policies receive physical units, not arbitrary coordinates; third, both outputs are scored inside a motion-capture volume against independent Chingmu optical capture, under a protocol that audits its own reference and charges what a method declines to predict. MEgoVista is offered as a measured route from egocentric video to metric hand supervision, one that widens where such labels can be gathered.

4D Parallelism Unlocks Exascale Bayesian Neural Networks for High-Fidelity Atmospheric Modeling

We present BEAST, the first-ever Bayesian Swin Transformer for atmospheric forecasting on 0.25^\circ global resolution able to accurately quantify both aleatoric and epistemic uncertainty. To overcome the associated computational bottlenecks, we devise an orthogonal 4D-parallelization scheme that introduces a unique domain-tensor-parallelism strategy and a novel uncertainty parallel method, enabling us to fully leverage GPU capacity and efficiently scale model training. For a 2.4-billion-parameter model, we achieve a peak performance of 3.96 EFLOP/s on 20,480 NVIDIA GH200 GPUs on the JUPITER supercomputer. We train BEAST as a 700-million-parameter model with 96 random weight samples on 384 nodes on 40 years of data for nearly one million gradient updates. This model achieves predictive skill scores competitive with state-of-the-art probabilistic atmospheric AI models and numerical models, and can predict extreme events with exceptional skill, while generating large ensembles 3 to 4 times faster than the current-best AI model. Our contribution unlocks the potential of high-fidelity uncertainty quantification in atmospheric AI models, heralding a new era for AI-based models in climate and Earth system sciences.

VideoTok4D: A 4D-Aware Video Tokenizer for Compact World Representation

Video tokenizers have emerged as a cornerstone of modern video modeling, underpinning progress in compression, reconstruction and generation by mapping high-dimensional visual signals into compact latent spaces. However, despite this progress, current tokenization paradigms largely remain within the 2D visual domain, treating videos as image sequences rather than observations of an underlying dynamic 3D world. Consequently, the learned tokens inherit this observation-centric bias, limiting their capacity to compactly represent real-world 4D scenes. To mitigate this issue, we propose VideoTok4D, a novel 4D-aware video tokenizer for compact world representation. Specifically, our approach comprises three key designs: 1) a spatiotemporal disentanglement strategy that factorizes videos into static and dynamic tokens for holistic world modeling; 2) a track-aware dynamic attention mechanism that aggregates trajectory-aligned cues to promote cross-view motion consistency; and 3) Co4DGen, a diffusion prior learned over the resulting VideoTok4D token space for efficient 4D scene generation. Extensive experiments have demonstrated that our proposed method achieves state-of-the-art performance while requiring up to 4 orders of magnitude less storage than dense 4D representations. Moreover, the compact token space substantially shortens diffusion sequences, enabling efficient generation.

Point4D: Long-range 4D Motion Reconstruction

We introduce Point4D, a feed-forward model for 4D reconstruction of long-range video sequences. Point4D is able to reliably infer dense per-point 3D trajectories across multi-hundred-frame videos, unlike existing 4D methods that are limited to short input windows of at most a few dozen frames. A key innovation that enables this is our flexible 3D query-based motion decoder that decouples trajectory prediction from image-plane visibility. The predicted 3D endpoints are then directly re-queried in the next chunk without re-projection or matching. Furthermore, we show that extracting and reusing a visual descriptor from an arbitrary frame where the point is visible leads to better performance than relying solely on the source patch. Overall, Point4D achieves state-of-the-art performance across diverse long-video tracking benchmarks spanning over 200 frames and largely outperforms previous feed-forward 4D method. PhysMAS: Physics-Grounded Multi-Agent Synthesis of Compositional 4D Gaussians

Efficient, fully automatic, and physically plausible 4D Gaussian synthesis is an important goal for dynamic scene generation. Recent physics-based methods couple 3D Gaussians with the Material Point Method (MPM) to generate physically driven motion, but extending this paradigm to heterogeneous multi-part objects and interacting multi-object scenes remains challenging. Object-level physical assignment collapses distinct parts into a single material state, while one-shot predictions from large language models, vision-language models, or agents neither reliably bind different materials to identified parts nor verify that the resulting MPM configuration is executable. Score Distillation Sampling (SDS)-based parameter optimization, meanwhile, requires repeated per-scene score evaluations and gradient backpropagation, incurring lengthy optimization and potentially yielding suboptimal or unstable solutions. We therefore present PhysMAS, a physics-grounded multi-agent framework. From a motion prompt and four scene views, an Object-Part Scene Agent establishes persistent identities and calls a Material Reasoning Agent for part-wise profiles. It invokes solver-aware skills to bind these identities and profiles to per-particle MPM fields and execute all objects in a shared domain; the framework then screens candidate forward-simulation results. This supports heterogeneous multi-part and interacting multi-object scenes without per-scene diffusion-score backpropagation. Extensive experiments demonstrate that, compared with recent physics-based 4D Gaussian baselines that rely on SDS, PhysMAS achieves better semantic alignment and perceived physical plausibility while requiring less runtime.

Unfold The World: Factorize 4D Properties in Reinforcing Spatial Reasoning

Despite the remarkable prowess of Vision-Language Models (VLMs) in general multimodal tasks, they remain fundamentally flat'' when reasoning about the physical world. We argue that this spatial bottleneck stems from a profound dimensional mismatch: while VLMs are trained to interpret 2D projections, true spatial reasoning demands the recovery of latent 3D geometry and temporal continuity. To conquer this high-dimensional complexity, we advocate a shift from monolithic learning to a divide and conquer'' paradigm. We present FactoSR, a factorized reinforcement learning framework that explicitly interpret the dimensions collapsed by visual projection. At its core, FactoSR decomposes the monolithic problem of world-consistent reasoning into three orthogonal, geometric sub-objectives: planar correspondence (XYXY), depth consistency (ZZ), and temporal reversibility (TT). By optimizing these verifiable constraints within a unified policy learning mechanism, we effectively transform an ill-posed projection recovery problem into a series of tangible reasoning steps. Extensive evaluations on multi-view and video benchmarks demonstrate that this elegant decomposition yields substantial gains in 3D and 4D reasoning, achieving a 5.9% boost on VSI-Bench and 4.5% on All-Angles-Bench. Our findings suggest that reinforcing explicit, factorized 4D consistency is a critical step toward evolving VLMs into robust, world-aware reasoners.

Low-Rank Dynamics-Effective Latent Carriers for Counterfactual Rollout in Learned World Models

We ask whether a small, directly addressable hidden-state intervention can place a learned world model on an intended counterfactual future and then let the model's own dynamics carry that future forward. In a controlled two-object collision environment, we study a 192-dimensional recurrent model trained on factual and locally edited counterfactual trajectories. Candidate carriers are learned from training-only counterfactual-minus-factual hidden differences, and an affine map predicts carrier coordinates from the factual state and requested edit without access to the native counterfactual hidden state at test time. For bounded single-component velocity edits, rank 4 is the smallest tested rank on the preregistered grid that satisfies the development criteria. A one-shot rank-4 patch launches a 12-transition autonomous rollout without future observations, teacher forcing, repeated hidden-state correction, or physical-state clamping. The frozen procedure satisfies the preregistered 2-of-3 fresh-checkpoint replication rule and remains reusable at nearby anchors. The same Single-derived carrier and Single-only affine map also support bounded same-object two-component requests. Across the matched training regimes, broader counterfactual support was associated mainly with better Joint rollout accuracy and more additive Joint hidden responses. Composition-related structure is enriched in the rank-4 subspace but is not confined to it, and local recurrent diagnostics show strong one-step coupling from the carrier to the rest of the hidden state. A position-edit stress test fails the required specificity controls. Together, these results support a compact dynamics-effective intervention-entry interface, not a closed four-dimensional state or an intrinsic state dimension.

A Browser-Native Digital Test Range for Benchmarking 4D Ocean-Glider Planning Algorithms

Repeated in-situ evaluation of ocean-glider planners requires scarce vehicles, operators, deployment and recovery resources, and ocean conditions that cannot be reset for competing algorithms. We present a guided, installation-free browser-native digital test range that transforms a selected region into a reproducible four-dimensional experiment. The system leads users from regional domain selection through mission-scoped bathymetry, time/depth forcing, science objectives, optional task decomposition, route specification, current-advected execution, observation generation, and scoring. Its primary contribution is a common plan-to-observation contract unifying vehicle, sensing, and evaluator assumptions across manual routes, transparent built-in algorithms, and imported classical or learned-planner outputs, while exported artifacts form dataset-ready records. A controlled Observing System Simulation Experiment (OSSE) evaluates five classical planners in two episodes, three deterministic seeds, and a calibrated 60-hour horizon. All 54 missions completed and recovered without hard violations, while planner rankings and dive-policy effects revealed operational-scientific tradeoffs. An authentic public deployment supplied a field-referenced audit to scope current kinematic boundaries. Separately, source-locked GliderFlight 1.2.0 achieved native-to-browser parity through Pyodide/WebAssembly, establishing a pathway for high-fidelity multi-tier simulation. The resulting operational space is scientifically traceable and component-qualified for mission-scale pre-deployment experimentation.

Beyond Pixels: From Video Priors to 4D Worlds

4D generation synthesizes dynamic 3D scenes from conditions such as text or images. Existing methods either reconstruct generated RGB videos with a separate 4D model or adapt a particular video generator to predict geometry directly. The former suffers from distribution mismatch and error propagation, whereas the latter ties 4D prediction to a specific generator and may require retraining when the generator or conditioning regime changes. We ask whether the final denoised latents of video models that share a variational autoencoder (VAE) can instead provide a reusable interface to explicit 4D prediction. Building on this insight, we introduce direct latent-to-4D generation and instantiate it as Latent-to-4D, which bypasses RGB by aligning a video latent with the token grid of a pretrained 4D decoder and refining it through frame-wise and global spatiotemporal attention. Trained on roughly 1K existing reconstruction clips, a single checkpoint transfers unchanged across multiple video diffusion transformers within the same VAE family. On Text4D-200 and I4D-200, Latent-to-4D surpasses matched same-latent Wan+4RC cascades in projection-based DINO-F1 by 2.88--3.45 and 5.81 points, respectively, while also being preferred by human raters for geometry, temporal stability, and overall quality.

FAST-GS: Frequency Aware Space-time Gaussian Splatting for Photorealistic Dynamic Novel View Synthesis

4D Gaussian Splatting (4DGS) excels in dynamic 3D reconstruction and real-time novel view synthesis via efficient 4D Gaussian representations and parallelizable rendering. However, existing 4DGS approaches rely on a single polynomial to model motion, which limits performance in complex dynamic scenes where high-frequency motion components are prevalent, and fails to ensure long-term stability due to cumulative trajectory drift. To address these issues, we propose a Fourier Motion Modeling module: this paradigm decomposes motion into frequency-based sinusoidal components, capturing both low-frequency global trajectories and high-frequency local details to model complex motion patterns accurately. It retains the real-time rendering capability of 4DGS while improving complex motion fitting and long-term coherence. Additionally, we integrate a motion-aware regularization strategy into the loss function: it uses frequency-dependent weights to suppress high-frequency jitter while preserving low-frequency motion coherence. Extensive experiments on N3V and Google Immersive datasets from multiple scenarios demonstrate the effectiveness of our method.

Astrolabe: Spherical-Map Guidance Across Diffusion Pipelines for Full-Body Capture from Unconstrained Images

Full-body capture from unconstrained photographs requires global correspondence across arbitrary views, poses, crops, and occlusions. Yet pose, geometry, and foundation features estimated in this setting are too unreliable for dense matching or appearance transfer, while diffusion rectifiers and optimization pipelines expose no common interface for consuming such uncertain correspondence. Our insight is that correspondence need not be locally accurate: its coarse viewpoint and body layout can still organize how a diffusion prior adapts and guides reconstruction. We introduce \emph{Astrolabe}, a host-portable adapter built on frozen viewpoint-guided spherical maps (SPH). A fixed bounded transform converts SPH into a spatial noise shift, which is matched during prior adaptation and reused during downstream denoising or score-distillation guidance in both pipeline categories. When a rectifier exposes a reference router, the same target/reference SPH additionally supplies coarse compatibility scores to select native appearance features; router-free optimization uses only the shared shift path. Astrolabe therefore follows one SPH--shift--adapt--guide process without dense warping or a learned control branch. Across Puzzle-IOI and 4D-Dress, it improves all reported image metrics in both hosts and all paired Puzzle-IOI geometry metrics; image gains extend to rear views, while 4D-Dress geometry remains stable overall.

TSOG: A Format For Temporally And Spatially Ordered Gaussians

We propose Temporally and Spatially Ordered Gaussians (TSOG), a format for efficient representation of 4D Gaussian Splatting (4DGS) content. TSOG extends the Spatially Ordered Gaussians (SOG) framework to the temporal domain by introducing a timeline attribute and temporal parameterization of geometry and appearance attributes. Similar to SOG, TSOG is a lossy format that assigns each Gaussian a unique index and encodes attribute values as index-aligned image data. TSOG is model-agnostic, extensible, and compatible with both discrete and continuous 4DGS representations. Evaluation using a PLYs sequence and FreeTimeGS as baselines, serving as simplistic and state-of-the-art 4DGS representations respectively, shows file size reductions exceeding 90%, with PSNR differences ranging between -0.42 and +0.85 dB. These results demonstrate substantial file size savings with minimal quality degradation, enabling efficient representation, storage, and delivery of dynamic scenes for next-generation 4D content.

4DHumanDiff: Direct Text-to-4DGS Generation for Consistent 360-Degree Dynamic Humans

Generating high-quality 360-degree dynamic human assets from text prompts is challenging. Existing methods usually synthesize monocular or multi-view videos first and then fit a 4D representation, which is expensive and often causes incomplete geometry or view-inconsistent renderings. We present 4DHumanDiff, a diffusion framework that directly generates dynamic humans represented by 4D Gaussian Splatting (4DGS) from text prompts. By modeling the structured 4D representation space end-to-end, 4DHumanDiff avoids video pre-generation and per-scene reconstruction, making it better suited for view-consistent and temporally coherent asset generation. The model uses a 3D U-Net backbone with temporal attention for motion-aware generation. We further construct a large-scale text-to-4DGS dataset with 60,000 high-quality pairs, and introduce 2D regularization and training-free 4D interpolation to improve rendering quality and motion smoothness. Experiments show that 4DHumanDiff generates consistent 360-degree dynamic humans within one minute, achieves better temporal and multi-view consistency, and reduces inference time by more than 10x.

ODeform: Learning Continuous 4D Motion for Shape Deformation with Neural ODEs

Modeling continuous object deformation is important for many computer vision and robotics tasks, such as manipulation and simulation. Existing approaches rely on learning-based methods or physics simulators to model shape deformations. However, these approaches either use discrete time steps or are too computationally intensive for real-time applications. We present ODeform, a novel extension of Neural Ordinary Differential Equations to continuous 4D dynamics of deformable objects in 3D space. Our method transforms 3D point clouds and physical conditions (like material properties) into a unified latent space. By solving the resulting ordinary differential equations over time, we model deformations as continuous flows within this learned embedding, eliminating the need for discrete time steps while maintaining computational efficiency. We evaluate our approach on unseen physical parameter configurations, showing improved motion prediction accuracy over baseline methods. Our experiments further demonstrate a successful transfer to real 3D captured objects with novel shapes, along with effective interpolation and extrapolation of the learned dynamics. Our code and data will be made publicly available.

Hallo4D: Multi-Modal Hallucination Mitigation for Consistent Spatio-Temporal Generation

While recent advances in 3D generation have enabled impressive visual synthesis, existing methods often rely on 2D diffusion supervision without explicit mechanisms for geometric consistency, leading to spatial hallucinations such as duplicated structures and misaligned geometry. These issues become more severe in 4D generation, where maintaining consistency across viewpoints and temporal evolution introduces additional challenges, including jitter, identity flicker, and structural drift. We present \textbf{Hallo4D}, a unified and model-agnostic framework for mitigating spatiotemporal hallucinations in 3D and 4D content generation. Hallo4D introduces a generation-detection-correction paradigm that leverages large multimodal language models (LMMs) to identify and summarize spatial and temporal inconsistencies from multi-view and multi-frame renderings. These insights guide a consensus-driven image-space consistency optimization, where an LMM-based selector evaluates candidate corrections through multi-model voting, without requiring retraining or architectural modifications. To further improve temporal consistency and optimization efficiency, Hallo4D incorporates motion-aware keyframe sampling, LMM-guided initialization, and appearance alignment. We additionally introduce exposure-aware optimization and visibility pruning to enhance robustness under challenging viewpoints. Extensive experiments demonstrate that Hallo4D consistently outperforms strong baselines across diverse 3D and 4D generation settings, providing a scalable and generalizable solution for consistency-aware content generation.

HandFlow: Fully Generative 4D Hand Recovery with Flow Matching

Accurate monocular 4D hand reconstruction remains challenging. Per-frame discriminative regressors lack temporal context and often produce jittery predictions. Temporal models improve consistency by aggregating information across frames, but they are typically deterministic regressors, making them vulnerable to ambiguous observations caused by occlusion and motion blur. Generative modeling offers a natural alternative by learning a prior over plausible hand motion sequences, enabling coherent hand-state recovery when visual evidence is incomplete or unreliable. Motivated by this observation, we present HandFlow, a fully generative flow-matching framework for temporally coherent 3D hand pose and shape estimation from monocular video. Given visual and skeletal observations, HandFlow denoises an entire temporal window of MANO parameters through a single ODE integration. To support this, we use a Flux-style dual-stream transformer that attends across the full sequence to capture long-range dependencies without autoregressive decoding, and a confidence-aware continuous masking mechanism that blends observed features with learnable mask tokens to handle noisy or missing observations. Experiments on DexYCB and HOT3D show that HandFlow achieves state-of-the-art performance, with particularly large gains in world-space accuracy and temporal smoothness. It reduces world-space pose error by over 30% compared with the strongest baseline and achieves the lowest acceleration error among all evaluated methods, while remaining competitive in per-frame pose accuracy. Moreover, on a single GPU HandFlow reconstructs a 150-frame sequence at 47 fps, about 12x faster than the fastest prior video-based method, with reconstruction itself accounting for only a small fraction of the end-to-end latency.

SkelGen4D: Weakly-Supervised Skeleton-Based 4D Generation for Text-Driven Mesh Animation

We study 4D generation to synthesize temporally coherent sequences of 3D geometry for animation and content creation. In contrast to existing SDS-based optimization methods and video-driven animation approaches, we adopt a skeleton-driven animation framework aligned with standard industrial pipelines, which enables explicit control and editing. To this end, we propose SkelGen4D, a weakly supervised feed-forward framework for text-driven mesh animation that generates explicit skeleton motions without requiring per-frame skeleton annotations. SkelGen4D first recovers temporally consistent pseudo-skeletons from animated meshes via differentiable fitting, and then generates text-conditioned skeleton motion sequences in a feed-forward manner, further refined with Motion-GRPO to ensure temporally coherent, physically plausible, and articulated animation. We evaluate our method on two large-scale benchmarks, Truebones Zoo and Diffusion4D. Our results show that our weakly supervised skeleton modeling matches or surpasses fully supervised baselines while scaling to diverse object categories for high-quality text-driven mesh animation. Further, our method supports flexible motion editing and is aligned with standard animation production pipelines.

RynnWorld-4D: 4D Embodied World Models for Robotic Manipulation

Robotic manipulation in the open world requires not only recognizing what a scene looks like, but also anticipating how its 3D structure moves under interaction. We argue that synchronized RGB, depth, and optical flow, namely RGB-DF, provide a physically grounded representation that captures the underlying 4D dynamics of a scene. Compared to 2D pixel videos, this multi-modal synergy aligns visual appearance with geometric structure and temporal motion, creating a representation space significantly closer to the low-level end-effector actions demanded by robotic systems, thereby narrowing the gap between world prediction and policy learning. Building on this insight, we introduce RynnWorld-4D, a generative model that co-produces future RGB frames, depth maps, and optical flow from a single RGB-D image and a language instruction within one unified diffusion process. This 4D world model features a tri-branch architecture that integrates cross-modal attention with frame-wise 3D RoPE, ensuring that appearance, geometry, and motion evolve consistently. To supply training data at scale, we curate Rynn4DDataset 1.0, a massive dataset of over 254.4 million frames across egocentric human and robotic manipulation videos with high-quality pseudo-labels for depth and optical flow. We further propose RynnWorld-4D-Policy, an inverse dynamics head that consumes the internal 4D representations of RynnWorld-4D in a single forward pass, bypassing expensive multi-step denoising, to output robot actions in a closed-loop manner. Experiments show that RynnWorld-4D produces temporally and spatially coherent 4D predictions, and that RynnWorld-4D-Policy achieves state-of-the-art performance on real-world dexterous bimanual manipulation tasks, particularly excelling in tasks demanding spatial precision and temporal coordination.

Alignment Is All You Need For X-to-4D Generation

Generative diffusion models excel at synthesizing high-quality images, videos, and 3D content under multimodal control. However, arbitrary user-defined modality-to-4D (X-to-4D) generation remains challenging due to the high cost of constructing diverse datasets and the limited scalability of existing methods. This paper presents Align4D, a flexible framework that translates any-modal input into coherent video-3D pairs, using video to guide 4D motion and 3D data to shape 4D geometry. Align4D introduces three key techniques: (1) Object Distance Alignment, which searches Video-Aligned and Multiview-Aligned Object Distances (VAOD/MAOD), respectively, to reconcile 4D renderings with video and the priors of multiview diffusion models; (2) Motion-Geometry Joint Alignment, which constrains known and unknown views through synchronized video and 3D inputs, ensuring consistent 4D generation; and (3) Asynchronous Optimization, which decouples Gaussian attribute and deformation network training to enhance motion and geometry fidelity. We further propose the X4D dataset, which integrates prompt, image, video, and 3D data for benchmarking. Experiments on X4D and Consistent4D demonstrate that Align4D achieves state-of-the-art quality and consistency in X-to-4D generation. Project page: https://miaoqiaowei.github.io/Align4D/.

Structured 4D Latent Predictive Model for Robot Planning

Video predictive models are emerging as a powerful paradigm in robotics, offering a promising path toward task generalization, long-horizon planning, and flexible decision-making. However, prevailing approaches often operate on 2D video sequences, inherently lacking the 3D geometric understanding necessary for precise spatial reasoning and physical consistency. We introduce a Structured 4D Latent Predictive Model, which predicts the evolution of a scene's 3D structure in a structured latent space conditioned on observations and textual instructions. Our representation encodes the scene holistically and can be decoded into diverse 3D formats, enabling a more complete and 3D consistent scene understanding. This structured 4D latent predictive model serves as a planner, generating future scenes that are translated into executable actions by a goal-conditioned inverse dynamics module. Experiments demonstrate that our model generates futures with strong visual quality, substantially better 3D consistency and multi-view coherence compared to state-of-the-art video-based planners. Consequently, our full planning pipeline achieves superior performance on complex manipulation tasks, exhibits robust generalization to novel visual conditions, and proves effective on real-world robotic platforms. Follow Your Track: Precise Skeleton Animation Controlled by 3D Trajectories

4D generation aims to animate 3D objects with realistic motion, holding great promise for applications. Existing methods typically decouple 3D asset generation from motion synthesis: acquire a 3D asset, prepare a structural representation like mesh and Gaussians, and synthesize motion from text or video control signals. However, dense mesh and Gaussian representations incur high computational costs and are prone to temporal artifacts, limiting animation quality and duration to only short clips. Meanwhile, text lacks fine-grained spatial and temporal details such as timing and coordination, while video entangles motion with appearance and background. Together, these limitations result in 4D animations that suffer from poor temporal consistency, wrong identification, and limited controllability. We address these issues with \texttt{ACT}, a trajectory-conditioned framework for topology-general skeletal animation. ACT uses skeletons as a compact structured and compute-efficient representation and 3D point trajectories from monocular video as explicit motion guidance which provide detailed motion patterns without appearance entanglement. At the core of ACT is a Routed Trajectory Injector, which achieves accurate and robust trajectory-to-joint transfer through three complementary designs: prior-guided hard routing establishes precise skeleton-to-mesh correspondences, global routing enables holistic joint-track interaction for full-body motion awareness, and local windowed cross-attention enforces fine-grained temporal alignment, improving micro-timing and reducing motion misalignment across varying motion rates. Extensive experiments demonstrate that \texttt{ACT} significantly outperforms existing methods in fidelity and temporal consistency.

IMAGIN-4D: Image-Guided Controllable Interaction Generation

Generating human-object interactions (HOI) is central to character animation, robotics, AR/VR, and embodied AI. Recent HOI generation methods synthesize motion from text, object geometry, and sparse waypoints, controlling action semantics and object trajectories. However, these signals underspecify interaction: the same prompt and trajectory can produce different grasps, approach directions, body poses, object poses, contacts, and body-object layouts. We address this ambiguity with a reference image as a visual specification of the desired interaction snapshot. However, a single global image representation conflates distinct cues and conditions all frames on identical visual evidence. We therefore introduce IMAGIN-4D, a diffusion-based HOI generator that decomposes image conditioning spatio-temporally. For spatial conditioning, IMAGIN-4D extracts supervised interaction-state tokens for body pose, object pose, body-object contact, and spatial relationships at the depicted frame. For temporal conditioning, it computes frame-aware tokens by querying image patches per generated frame, allowing sequence segments to attend to different visual cues from the same image. To balance image, text, and waypoint cues, IMAGIN-4D uses role-aware conditioning: text, waypoints, and interaction-state tokens use separate AdaLN streams, while frame-aware visual tokens cross-attend with motion tokens. Since HOI motion datasets lack paired images, we build a synthetic motion-to-image rendering pipeline from FullBodyManipulation (FBM) and introduce an image-adherence metric to evaluate whether generated motions match the reference snapshot. Experiments on FBM and BEHAVE show that IMAGIN-4D improves fine-grained interaction control over single-token and uniformly image-conditioned baselines while preserving waypoint-following and motion quality. Code and models will be released at https://imagin4d.github.io.

Feed-forward Motion In-betweening for Any 4D

4D dynamics (3D geometry evolving over time) is a fundamental representation of the physical world and plays a crucial role in world modeling (e.g., animation and games). Owing to the scarcity of large-scale, long-horizon 4D mesh data with arbitrary shapes, early text-to-4D methods rely on distillation or test-time optimization from video diffusion priors, making inference prohibitively slow. Recent feed-forward generators greatly reduce inference cost but offer limited spatiotemporal controllability, and short-horizon generation often leads to error accumulation in long-horizon sequences. We propose a novel feed-forward in-betweening framework for arbitrary 4D meshes with keyframe conditioning. Building on universal mesh-animation latents, we introduce a frame-wise mesh VAE that encodes each frame into topology-agnostic latent tokens anchored by a reference mesh for keyframe conditioning. We further introduce a keyframe-conditioned rectified flow model with an MMDiT backbone that synthesizes non-keyframe frames conditioned on sparse keyframes. Experiments show strong performance and improved controllability on both DyMesh16 and DyMesh32 benchmarks.

Scaling up fine-grained intracranial vessel annotations in computed tomography angiography

In this work, we present SemanticVessel, a dataset for fine-grained brain vessel segmentation in computed tomography angiography scans. Based on the detailed contrast provided by dynamic 4D-CTA scans, we generate segmentation traces for arteries and veins. We then use intensity-guided region growing to obtain segmentations of the majority of vascular territories in the human brain, which are refined and annotated with 20 unique arterial classes by an expert radiologist. Unlike existing datasets, where minor arteries are discarded as background content, we merge these minor arteries into a generic arterial class. Due to the multiple-phase acquisition of dynamic 4D-CTA, labels for a single phase can be re-used for other phases in the same series, greatly increasing the size of our dataset with no additional annotation cost. The results show that models trained with the additional generic artery class produce better fine-grained segmentations across the board. We will make our code, annotation GUI, and model weights available to the scientific community. Code, weights, and data will be made available on https://github.com/alceballosa/robust-vessel-segmentation

Hand-4DGS: Feed-Forward 3D Gaussian Splatting for 4D Hand Reconstruction from Egocentric Videos

Dynamic 3D hand reconstruction from egocentric videos is essential for next-generation computing platforms such as AR/VR and AI glasses. Despite its importance, most prior works focus either on multi-view 3D hand reconstruction or on 4D human body reconstruction. Egocentric 4D hand reconstruction remains challenging due to fast head motion, rapid hand dynamics, severe occlusions, and inherent ambiguity from single-view observations. To address these challenges, we introduce Hand-4DGS, the first feed-forward framework for reconstructing dynamic 4D hands directly from egocentric videos, enabling both fast (~60 FPS) inference and strong generalization. Our approach incorporates a mesh-guided representation for structural priors and temporal convolutions to model dynamic motion. We evaluate our framework on two challenging egocentric datasets, H2O and ARCTIC, and demonstrate significant improvements over baselines. Our method benefits from the generalization capability of feed-forward networks and effective 2D image supervision through Gaussian splatting, without requiring expensive 3D hand pose ground-truth annotations.

BrainWorld: A Structural-Prior-Conditioned Generative Model for Whole-Brain 4D fMRI Dynamics

Whole-brain 4D fMRI generation is valuable for modeling functional brain dynamics, yet existing fMRI foundation models mainly target representation learning and downstream prediction rather than conditional predictive generation. We introduce BrainWorld, a structural-prior-conditioned generative model for whole-brain 4D fMRI dynamics. BrainWorld uses sMRI as subject-level anatomical context to guide future fMRI generation, integrating structural information into the denoising process rather than treating it as a parallel modality. Evaluated on 22 datasets spanning diverse cohorts and brain states, BrainWorld generates stable 4D fMRI trajectories up to 400 frames, improves downstream performance through generated-example augmentation, and learns transferable multimodal representations that outperform baselines. Together, these results establish BrainWorld as a condition-aware generative framework for long-horizon brain dynamics modeling and multimodal representation learning.

WAM4D: Fast 4D World Action Model via Spatial Register Tokens

World action models (WAMs) have recently shown promise in jointly modeling future observations and executable robot actions. However, most existing WAMs still operate in 2D video or latent spaces, where visually plausible rollouts miss the 3D spatial constraints and occluded contact geometry required for precise manipulation. While geometric foundation models offer strong priors for recovering dense 3D structure and motion from visual observations, forcing WAMs to predict the dense 4D representation introduces costly geometric decoding and slows down causal action generation. To address the trade-off, we present WAM4D, a fast 4D world action model that uses lightweight spatial register tokens as training-time future-depth readouts to transfer pretrained geometric priors into a causal video-action transformer, then removes the register branch for lightweight action inference. To prevent non-causal shortcuts, we further design causal mixture attention for the Mixture-of-Transformers (MoT) WAM backbone, defining modality-specific visibility among video, action, and geometry tokens. Comprehensive experiments on RoboTwin 2.0 and challenging real-world manipulation tasks show that WAM4D improves spatial consistency and achieves competitive action prediction while maintaining efficient inference.

CP4D: Compositional Physics-aware 4D Scene Generation

4D generation (\textit{i.e.}, dynamic 3D generation) has recently emerged as a rapidly growing research frontier due to its powerful spatiotemporal modeling capabilities. However, despite notable advances, existing approaches typically fail to capture the underlying physical principles, producing results that are both physically inconsistent and visually implausible. To overcome this limitation, we present CP4D, a novel paradigm for photorealistic 4D scene synthesis with faithful adherence to complex physical dynamics. Drawing inspiration from the compositional nature of real-world scenes, where immutable static backgrounds coexist with dynamic, physically plausible foregrounds, CP4D reformulates 4D generation as the integration of a static 3D environment with physically grounded dynamic objects. On this basis, our framework follows a three-stage pipeline: \textbf{1)} Firstly, we leverage pre-trained expert models to generate high-fidelity 3D representations of the environment and foreground objects respectively. \textbf{2)} Subsequently, to produce physically plausible trajectories and realistic interactions for these objects, we propose a hybrid motion synthesis strategy that integrates priors from physical simulators with the common sense embedded in video diffusion models. \textbf{3)} Finally, we develop an automated composition mechanism that seamlessly fuses the static environment and dynamic objects into coherent, physically consistent 4D scenes. Extensive experiments demonstrate that CP4D can generate explorable and interactive 4D scenes with high visual fidelity, strong physical plausibility, and fine-grained controllability, significantly outperforming existing methods. PhysAgent: Automating Physics-Based 4D Synthesis via Trajectory-Grounded Multi-Agent Feedback

Achieving fully automated, physically plausible 3D motion synthesis is a core objective in graphics and generative AI. However, configuring complex environmental force fields still relies entirely on manual expert intervention, creating a severe bottleneck for large-scale simulation data generation. Existing automated methods primarily focus on material optimization and exhibit severe modality gaps and technical flaws when applied to the vastly more complex force field optimization space: naive Large Language Models (LLMs) lack underlying simulation feedback, causing severe physical inaccuracies, while traditional Score Distillation Sampling (SDS) suffers from sluggish gradients, local optima entrapment, and a mathematical inability to dynamically switch discrete force fields. To address this, we propose PhysAgent, the first simulator-in-the-loop multi-agent framework that leverages multimodal inputs for automated, physically grounded 4D synthesis. By decoupling intrinsic materials from extrinsic dynamics, PhysAgent utilizes a Semantic Agent equipped with an externalized Force Field Skill module to master simulation rules and generate valid initializations. Subsequently, the Refine Agents, driven by Trajectory-Grounded Multi-Agent Feedback, leverage vision foundation models to extract dense point trajectories from rendered frames. By converting these explicit motion trajectories into structured textual descriptors, the agent harnesses LLM commonsense reasoning to execute zero-shot macroscopic leaps, effectively escaping local optima and dynamically switching discrete force fields. Extensive experiments demonstrate that PhysAgent rapidly generates stable, diverse physical scenes from arbitrary multimodal prompts, significantly outperforming existing baselines in both generation diversity and physical accuracy.

Not All Points Are Equal: Uncertainty-Aware 4D LiDAR Scene Synthesis

Constructing faithful 4D worlds from LiDAR-acquired sequences is crucial for embodied AI, yet current generative frameworks apply uniform modeling capacity across all spatial regions. This ignores that perceptual difficulty varies dramatically within a single scan: distant surfaces, occluded boundaries, and small-scale objects carry far higher uncertainty than well-observed structures. We present U4D, a new framework that explicitly leverages spatial uncertainty to guide LiDAR scene generation in a "hard-to-easy" schedule. U4D derives per-point uncertainty maps via Shannon Entropy from a pretrained segmentor, then applies an unconditional diffusion stage to synthesize high-entropy areas with precise geometry, followed by a conditional completion stage that fills in the remaining regions using these structures as priors. A MoST (Mixture of Spatio-Temporal) block further maintains cross-frame coherence by dynamically balancing spatial detail and temporal continuity. Extensive experiments on nuScenes and SemanticKITTI demonstrate state-of-the-art scene fidelity, temporal consistency, and downstream performance.

MORPHOS: Autoregressive 4D Generation with Temporal Structured Latents

We present MORPHOS, a novel autoregressive framework that generates dynamic 3D assets from videos across diverse representations, including meshes, 3D Gaussians, and radiance fields. Existing methods are typically limited to a single representation, struggle to model topological changes, or fail to maintain temporal consistency over long videos. To address these limitations, we introduce the Temporal Structured Latents (T-SLAT), a unified 4D representation that jointly encodes geometry and appearance along the temporal dimension. Leveraging T-SLAT, MORPHOS autoregressively generates dynamic 3D assets via causal attention, conditioning each frame on its preceding history to ensure temporal consistency while handling evolving topologies. We also propose a temporal-structural augmentation to mitigate error accumulation in autoregressive generation. MORPHOS achieves state-of-the-art performance in appearance and competitive results in geometry across multiple benchmarks, demonstrating superior generalization across various representations and robustness in long-horizon generation.

Learning Neural Deformation Representation for 4D Dynamic Shape Generation

Recent developments in 3D shape representation opened new possibilities for generating detailed 3D shapes. Despite these advances, there are few studies dealing with the generation of 4D dynamic shapes that have the form of 3D objects deforming over time. To bridge this gap, we focus on generating 4D dynamic shapes with an emphasis on both generation quality and efficiency in this paper. HyperDiffusion, a previous work on 4D generation, proposed a method of directly generating the weight parameters of 4D occupancy fields but suffered from low temporal consistency and slow rendering speed due to motion representation that is not separated from the shape representation of 4D occupancy fields. Therefore, we propose a new neural deformation representation and combine it with conditional neural signed distance fields to design a 4D representation architecture in which the motion latent space is disentangled from the shape latent space. The proposed deformation representation, which works by predicting skinning weights and rigid transformations for multiple parts, also has advantages over the deformation modules of existing 4D representations in understanding the structure of shapes. In addition, we design a training process of a diffusion model that utilizes the shape and motion features that are extracted by our 4D representation as data points. The results of unconditional generation, conditional generation, and motion retargeting experiments demonstrate that our method not only shows better performance than previous works in 4D dynamic shape generation but also has various potential applications.

NeuROK: Generative 4D Neural Object Kinematics

Data-driven approaches have revolutionized 3D vision, enabling transformers to effectively reconstruct and generate static 3D objects. However, generating simulative 4D dynamics -- realistic temporal deformations of static objects under various physical conditions -- remains challenging and often ad hoc, despite its importance in building comprehensive 3D world models. Most existing methods assume a predefined physical model and use system identification to estimate parameters, restricting these methods to specific categories and small-scale datasets. We propose that these restrictions can be overcome by learning a data-driven kinematic state parameterization for object-centric physical systems. Specifically, we learn both a latent space representing all possible states of the object and a decoder that maps any sampled latent to a plausibly deformed shape of the object. We refer to this parameterization as Neural Object Kinematics (NeuROK), and learn a transformer-based encoder-decoder model on a curated large-scale 4D dataset. This formulation and the learned model significantly simplify the generation of simulative dynamics since we only need to consider the dynamics within a low-dimensional latent space from the Lagrangian mechanics' perspective in classical physics. We demonstrate the effectiveness and generality of this neural simulation framework across diverse dynamic object types, showing clear advantages over prior works. PhyGenHOI: Physically-Aware 4D Generation of Dynamic Human-Object Interactions

We address the task of generating physically accurate and visually faithful 4D Human-Object Interaction (HOI). Given a static 3D human and target object represented as 3D Gaussian Splats (3DGS), our goal is to synthesize dynamic scenes where the human actively engages with the object through actions, such as punching or kicking, in accordance with a given input text. To this end, we introduce PhyGenHOI, a novel framework that couples generative human motion with an explicit physical object simulation. We model the human as a semantic agent driven by a Motion Diffusion Model (MDM) and the object as a physical agent simulated via the Material Point Method (MPM), utilizing 3D Gaussians as a unified, differentiable representation. We supervise their interaction through three coupled mechanisms: (1) A Windowed Attraction Loss that temporally synchronizes generative motion to intercept the object; (2) A Contact-Driven Re-simulation step that triggers physically consistent momentum transfer upon impact; and (3) A Masked Video-SDS objective that injects video-based priors to enhance contact fidelity. Experiments show PhyGenHOI generates physically consistent 4D HOI across diverse actions, humans, and objects, outperforming baselines. Helix4D: Complex 4D Mesh Generation

Current video-to-4D methods struggle with complex topology changes, transparent materials, thin structures, and inner surfaces. We present Helix4D, a dynamic mesh generation framework by inheriting the expressive representation of Trellis2, adapting it from image-to-3D to video-conditioned 4D generation. Our design arises from two key questions: (a) how to enable Trellis2's frame-local attention to share information across frames while preserving its pretrained quality on rare cases such as transparent objects and inner surfaces, and (b) how to inject temporal information into a purely 3D positional encoding without breaking pretrained capabilities. We address (a) with a sliding-window cross-frame attention and anchor on the first frame. The first frame is generated by the base Trellis2 model and injected into our model, letting it inherit Trellis2's quality in rare cases through cross-frame attention. We address (b) with a 4D temporal encoding that repurposes redundant low-frequency spatial RoPE bands for time, extending the encoding from 3D with no additional parameters. Extensive experiments show the effectiveness of Helix4D for high-quality dynamic mesh generation on ActionBench and our own challenging complex dynamics set.

Full-4D: Generating Full-Scope 4D Scenes from a Single-View Video

Generating 4D scenes from a single-view video is inherently ill-posed: a single viewpoint lacks the information needed to recover a complete, dynamic scene with full coverage. Existing methods are typically limited to monocular videos, simple 3D effects, or only small viewpoint perturbations around the original viewpoint, falling short of true 4D generation. Meanwhile, the lack of large-scale datasets capturing full-scope 4D scenes with synchronized multi-view videos further hinders progress in this direction. We propose a novel single-view video-to-4D framework that casts full-scope 4D generation as a multi-view video synthesis followed by optimization-based 4D reconstruction from the generated views. To instantiate this formulation end-to-end, we make three key contributions. First, we introduce Real-MV-4D, a large-scale dataset of synchronized multi-view videos captured in diverse real-world environments to provide the 4D supervision. Second, we train a multi-view video diffusion model driven by a novel fused time(T)-view(V) attention mechanism that directly embeds geometric reprojection priors and explicit camera conditioning into its view-time interactions. Unlike basic feature fusion, this direct binding strictly aligns the generation process with physical 3D priors to produce a dense, synchronized T×\times V video grid. Third, rather than relying on non-interactive and inconsistent 2D video interpolations, we lift the synthesized multi-view videos into an explicit 4D representation (i.e. 4DGS), regularized by a Flow Matching Distillation loss that exploits the multi-view prior to improve novel-view rendering. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method outperforms existing approaches in both visual fidelity and geometric consistency, enabling full-scope 4D scene generation from single-view videos.

CHOIR: Contact-aware 4D Hand-Object Interaction Reconstruction

We ask whether everyday open-world monocular videos can be turned into reusable 4D interaction primitives: articulated hand motion, object shape with 6D pose over time, and the when/where of contact. Such a capability would enable scalable mining of real interactions and, beyond reconstruction, support scene-aware synthesis and planning. However, reconstructing hand-object interaction (HOI) from challenging monocular videos remains difficult: methods often assume known objects or curated scenes, and separately estimated hands and objects easily become misaligned under clutter, occlusion, and unseen object geometries. Targeting this setting, we present CHOIR, a Contact-aware HOI Reconstruction framework for a monocular camera, using contact as an explicit coupling signal between hands and objects. CHOIR first initializes a coarse, contact-agnostic 4D HOI sequence from open-world visual priors. It then introduces a generative HOI spatial rectification module to predict ray-depth corrections and rectify hand-object relative placement, then derive initial per-frame contact correspondences on the rectified geometry. Last, a contact-aware joint optimization with dynamically updated contact constraints enforces geometric, temporal, and contact consistency. Experiments on controlled and challenging videos show that CHOIR improves object reconstruction, physical plausibility, and temporal consistency over state-of-the-art methods.

EndoGSim: Physics-Aware 4D Dynamic Endoscopic Scene Simulations via MLLM-Guided Gaussian Splatting

In robot-assisted minimally invasive surgery, high-fidelity dynamic endoscopic scene reconstruction and simulation are crucial to enhancing downstream tasks and advancing surgical outcomes. However, existing methods primarily focus on visual reconstruction, lacking physics-based descriptions of the scene required for realistic simulation. We propose a unified framework that achieves physics-aware reconstruction and physical simulation of endoscopic scenes through Multi-modal Large Language Models (MLLMs)-guided Gaussian Splatting. Our approach utilizes 4D Gaussian Splatting (4DGS) integrated with pre-trained segmentation and depth estimation to represent deformable tissues and tools. To achieve automatic inference of physical properties, we introduce an object-wise material field that initializes material parameters via MLLM and refines them through a differentiable Material Point Method (MPM) under joint supervision from rendered images and optical flow. Validated on both open-source and in-house datasets, our framework achieves superior simulation fidelity and physical accuracy compared to state-of-the-art methods, underscoring its potential to advance robot-assisted surgical applications.

CineMesh4D: Personalized 4D Whole Heart Reconstruction from Sparse Cine MRI

Accurate 3D+t whole-heart mesh reconstruction from cine MRI is a clinically crucial yet technically challenging task. The difficulty of this task arises from two coupled factors: inherently sparse sampling of 3D cardiac anatomy by 2D image slices and the tight coupling between cardiac shape and motion. Current cardiac image-to-mesh approaches typically reconstruct only a subset of cardiac chambers or a single phase of the cardiac cycle. In this work, we propose CineMesh4D, a novel end-to-end 4D (3D+t) pipeline that directly reconstructs patient-specific whole-heart mesh from multi-view 2D cine MRI via cross-domain mapping. Specifically, we introduce a differentiable rendering loss that enables supervision of 3D+t whole-heart mesh from multi-view sparse contours of cine MRI. Furthermore, we develop a dual-context temporal block that fuses global and local cardiac temporal information to capture high-dimensional sequential patterns. In quantitative and qualitative evaluations, CineMesh4D outperforms existing approaches in terms of reconstruction quality and motion consistency, providing a practical pathway for personalized real-time cardiac assessment. The code will be publicly released once the manuscript is accepted.

Geometric 4D Stitching for Grounded 4D Generation

Recent 4D generation methods complete scene-level missing information using generative models and reconstruct the scene into radiance-based representations. However, these pipelines often present geometric inconsistencies in the generated content, and the radiance-based reconstruction requires expensive optimization. Furthermore, radiance-based representations often absorb these geometric inconsistencies into their view-dependent nature, failing to enforce the grounded geometric consistency. To address these issues, we propose Geometric 4D Stitching, an efficient framework that explicitly identifies missing geometric regions and complements them with geometrically grounded 4D stitches. As a result, our method constructs 4D scene representations in under 10 minutes on a single NVIDIA RTX 5090 GPU per one-step scene expansion, while improving geometric consistency. Moreover, we demonstrate that our explicit 4D stitching supports interative expansion of 4D mesh as well as 4D scene editing.

ST-Gen4D: Embedding 4D Spatiotemporal Cognition into World Model for 4D Generation

Generative models have achieved success in producing apparently coherent 2D videos, but remain challenging in the physical world due to lack of 4D spatiotemporal scale. Typically, existing 4D generative models directly embed macro scale constraints to enhance overall spatiotemporal consistency. However, these methods only ensure global appearance coherence and fail to reveal the local dynamics of the physical world. Our insight is that global appearance structure and local dynamic topology empower 4D spatiotemporal cognition, thereby enabling 4D generation with spatiotemporal regularities. In this work, we propose ST-Gen4D, a 4D generation framework with 4D spatiotemporal cognition-based world model. Our model is guided by four key designs: 1) Spatiotemporal representation. We encode various modalities into multiple representations as a feature basis. 2) Spatiotemporal cognition. We sculpture these representations into global appearance graph and local dynamic graph, and fuse them via semantic-bridged spatiotemporal fusion to obtain a 4D cognition graph. 3) Spatiotemporal reasoning. We utilize a world model to derive future state based on the 4D cognition. 4) Spatiotemporal generation. We leverage the derived cognition as condition to guide latent diffusion for 4D Gaussian generation. By deeply integrating 4D intrinsic cognition with generative priors, our model guarantees the structural rationality and topological consistency of 4D generation. Moreover, we propose ST-4D datasets by aggregating public 4D datasets and self-built subset. Extensive experiments demonstrate the superiority of our ST-Gen4D across 3D and 4D generation tasks.

Ground4D: Spatially-Grounded Feedforward 4D Reconstruction for Unstructured Off-Road Scenes

Feedforward Gaussian Splatting has recently emerged as an efficient paradigm for 4D reconstruction in autonomous driving. However, in unstructured off-road scenes, its performance degrades due to high-frequency geometry, ego-motion jitter, and increased non-rigid dynamics. These factors introduce conflicting Gaussian observations across timestamps, leading to either over-smoothed renderings or structural artifacts. To address this issue, we propose Ground4D, a spatially-grounded 4D feedforward framework for pose-free off-road reconstruction. The key idea is to resolve temporal conflicts through spatially localized conditioning. Specifically, we introduce voxel-grounded temporal Gaussian aggregation, which partitions the canonical Gaussian space into spatial voxels and performs query-conditioned temporal attention within each voxel. Intra-voxel softmax normalization ensures that temporal selectivity and spatial occupancy become mutually reinforcing rather than conflicting. We furthermore introduce surface normal cues as auxiliary geometric guidance to regularize the geometry of Gaussian primitives. Extensive experiments on ORAD-3D and RELLIS-3D demonstrate that Ground4D consistently outperforms existing feedforward methods in reconstruction quality and generalizes zero-shot to unseen off-road domains. Unified 4D World Action Modeling from Video Priors with Asynchronous Denoising

We propose X-WAM, a Unified 4D World Model that unifies real-time robotic action execution and high-fidelity 4D world synthesis (video + 3D reconstruction) in a single framework, addressing the critical limitations of prior unified world models (e.g., UWM) that only model 2D pixel-space and fail to balance action efficiency and world modeling quality. To leverage the strong visual priors of pretrained video diffusion models, X-WAM imagines the future world by predicting multi-view RGB-D videos, and obtains spatial information efficiently through a lightweight structural adaptation: replicating the final few blocks of the pretrained Diffusion Transformer into a dedicated depth prediction branch for the reconstruction of future spatial information. Moreover, we propose Asynchronous Noise Sampling (ANS) to jointly optimize generation quality and action decoding efficiency. ANS applies a specialized asynchronous denoising schedule during inference, which rapidly decodes actions with fewer steps to enable efficient real-time execution, while dedicating the full sequence of steps to generate high-fidelity video. Rather than entirely decoupling the timesteps during training, ANS samples from their joint distribution to align with the inference distribution. Pretrained on over 5,800 hours of robotic data, X-WAM achieves 79.2% and 90.7% average success rate on RoboCasa and RoboTwin 2.0 benchmarks, while producing high-fidelity 4D reconstruction and generation surpassing existing methods in both visual and geometric metrics.

Sculpt4D: Generating 4D Shapes via Sparse-Attention Diffusion Transformers

Recent breakthroughs in 3D generative modeling have yielded remarkable progress in static shape synthesis, yet high-fidelity dynamic 4D generation remains elusive, hindered by temporal artifacts and prohibitive computational demand. We present Sculpt4D, a native 4D generative framework that seamlessly integrates efficient temporal modeling into a pretrained 3D Diffusion Transformer (Hunyuan3D 2.1), thereby mitigating the scarcity of 4D training data. Phys4D: Fine-Grained Physics-Consistent 4D Modeling from Video Diffusion

Recent video diffusion models have achieved impressive capabilities as large-scale generative world models. However, these models often struggle with fine-grained physical consistency, exhibiting physically implausible dynamics over time. In this work, we present \textbf{Phys4D}, a pipeline for learning physics-consistent 4D world representations from video diffusion models. Phys4D adopts \textbf{a three-stage training paradigm} that progressively lifts appearance-driven video diffusion models into physics-consistent 4D world representations. We first bootstrap robust geometry and motion representations through large-scale pseudo-supervised pretraining, establishing a foundation for 4D scene modeling. We then perform physics-grounded supervised fine-tuning using simulation-generated data, enforcing temporally consistent 4D dynamics. Finally, we apply simulation-grounded reinforcement learning to correct residual physical violations that are difficult to capture through explicit supervision. To evaluate fine-grained physical consistency beyond appearance-based metrics, we introduce a set of \textbf{4D world consistency evaluation} that probe geometric coherence, motion stability, and long-horizon physical plausibility. Experimental results demonstrate that Phys4D substantially improves fine-grained spatiotemporal and physical consistency compared to appearance-driven baselines, while maintaining strong generative performance. Stereo4DWalker: Learning 4D-aware Embodied Urban Navigation from Internet Stereo Videos

Despite rapid progress, embodied navigation in dynamic and unstructured urban environments remains brittle. Most existing approaches directly map monocular visual inputs to actions through end-to-end pixel-to-action training, assuming that accurate spatiotemporal (4D) scene understanding will emerge implicitly. While appealing, this paradigm requires large amounts of pixel-to-action supervision that are difficult to obtain. This challenge is amplified in dynamic, unstructured settings, where robust navigation requires precise 4D scene modeling. To address these limitations, we present Stereo4DWalker, a 4D-aware embodied navigation model that leverages stereo inputs and explicitly builds structured 4D representations of geometry and motion. These 4D structures are integrated into the navigation transformer through simple yet effective 4D-conditioned attention layers. To support scalable training, we curate a large-scale stereo navigation dataset with automatically annotated actions from Internet stereo videos. Our experiments show that Stereo4DWalker surpasses state-of-the-art performance using only 1.5% of the training data, highlighting the effectiveness of explicit 4D visual modeling for data-efficient and robust urban navigation.

Streaming4D: Accelerate 4D World Models via Block-wise Video Generation and Incremental Reconstruction

Current 4D generation paradigms are often bottlenecked by a sequential decoupling design: video is generated first, followed by 3D reconstruction, leading to high interaction latency. This limits applications in interactive real-time scenarios. To this end, we propose \textbf{Streaming4D}, a tightly coupled synchronous pipeline that integrates block-wise autoregressive video generation with incremental 3D reconstruction. Unlike traditional frame-by-frame emission and delayed geometry recovery, Streaming4D generates temporal video blocks and immediately triggers reconstruction for each completed block, enabling parallel execution between synthesis and geometric updates. This approach allows the world representation to evolve online with the video stream, reducing feedback latency while preserving geometric fidelity. We instantiate \textbf{Streaming4D} using a Self-Forcing-style autoregressive generator and an incremental reconstruction backend. Experiments show consistent runtime improvements across resolutions on a single RTX 4090 (1.24×\times speedup), while maintaining high-quality 4D geometry and multi-view consistency.

Dream4D: Lifting Camera-Controlled I2V towards Spatiotemporally Consistent 4D Generation

The synthesis of spatiotemporally coherent 4D content presents fundamental challenges in computer vision, requiring simultaneous modeling of high-fidelity spatial representations and physically plausible temporal dynamics. Current approaches often struggle to maintain view consistency while handling complex scene dynamics, particularly in large-scale environments with multiple interacting elements. This work introduces Dream4D, a novel framework that bridges this gap through a synergy of controllable video generation and neural 4D reconstruction. Our approach seamlessly combines a two-stage architecture: it first predicts optimal camera trajectories from a single image using few-shot learning, then generates geometrically consistent multi-view sequences via a specialized pose-conditioned diffusion process, which are finally converted into a persistent 4D representation. This framework is the first to leverage both rich temporal priors from video diffusion models and geometric awareness of the reconstruction models, which significantly facilitates 4D generation and shows higher quality (e.g., mPSNR, mSSIM) over existing methods.
