WAFT-Stereo: Warping-Alone Field Transforms for Stereo Matching

We introduce WAFT-Stereo, a simple and effective warping-based method for stereo matching. WAFT-Stereo demonstrates that cost volumes, a common design used in many leading methods, are not necessary for strong performance and can be replaced by warping with improved efficiency. WAFT-Stereo ranks first on ETH3D (BP-0.5), Middlebury (RMSE), and KITTI (all metrics), reducing the zero-shot error by 81% on ETH3D, while being 1.8-6.7x faster than competitive methods. Code and model weights are available at https://github.com/princeton-vl/WAFT-Stereo.

Drop-In Perceptual Optimization for 3D Gaussian Splatting

Despite their output being ultimately consumed by human viewers, 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) methods often rely on ad-hoc combinations of pixel-level losses, resulting in blurry renderings. To address this, we systematically explore perceptual optimization strategies for 3DGS by searching over a diverse set of distortion losses. We conduct the first-of-its-kind large-scale human subjective study on 3DGS, involving 39,320 pairwise ratings across several datasets and 3DGS frameworks. A regularized version of Wasserstein Distortion, which we call WD-R, emerges as the clear winner, excelling at recovering fine textures without incurring a higher splat count. WD-R is preferred by raters more than 2.3×2.3\times over the original 3DGS loss, and 1.5×1.5\times over the current best method Perceptual-GS. WD-R also consistently achieves state-of-the-art LPIPS, DISTS, and FID scores across various datasets, and generalizes across recent frameworks, such as Mip-Splatting and Scaffold-GS, where replacing the original loss with WD-R consistently enhances perceptual quality within a similar resource budget (number of splats for Mip-Splatting, model size for Scaffold-GS), and leads to reconstructions being preferred by human raters 1.8×1.8\times and 3.6×3.6\times, respectively. We also find that this carries over to the task of 3DGS scene compression, with ≈50%\approx 50\% bitrate savings for comparable perceptual metric performance.

Back to Point: Exploring Point-Language Models for Zero-Shot 3D Anomaly Detection

Zero-shot (ZS) 3D anomaly detection is crucial for reliable industrial inspection, as it enables detecting and localizing defects without requiring any target-category training data. Existing approaches render 3D point clouds into 2D images and leverage pre-trained Vision-Language Models (VLMs) for anomaly detection. However, such strategies inevitably discard geometric details and exhibit limited sensitivity to local anomalies. In this paper, we revisit intrinsic 3D representations and explore the potential of pre-trained Point-Language Models (PLMs) for ZS 3D anomaly detection. We propose BTP (Back To Point), a novel framework that effectively aligns 3D point cloud and textual embeddings. Specifically, BTP aligns multi-granularity patch features with textual representations for localized anomaly detection, while incorporating geometric descriptors to enhance sensitivity to structural anomalies. Furthermore, we introduce a joint representation learning strategy that leverages auxiliary point cloud data to improve robustness and enrich anomaly semantics. Extensive experiments on Real3D-AD and Anomaly-ShapeNet demonstrate that BTP achieves superior performance in ZS 3D anomaly detection. Code will be available at \href{https://github.com/wistful-8029/BTP-3DAD}{https://github.com/wistful-8029/BTP-3DAD}.

SpatialFly: Implicit 3D Prior-Guided Visual Reparameterization for Continuous UAV Vision-and-Language Navigation

UAVs play an important role in applications such as autonomous exploration, disaster response, and infrastructure inspection. However, UAV VLN in complex 3D environments remains challenging. A key difficulty is the structural representation mismatch between 2D visual perception and the 3D trajectory decision space, which limits spatial reasoning. To this end, we propose SpatialFly, a geometry-guided spatial representation framework for UAV VLN. Operating on RGB observations without explicit 3D reconstruction, SpatialFly introduces a geometry-guided 2D adaptive representation mechanism. Specifically, the geometric prior injection module injects global structural cues into 2D semantic tokens to provide scene-level geometric guidance. The geometry-aware reparameterization module then uses geometry-conditioned cross-modal attention and gated residual fusion to adaptively reparameterize the visual tokens. Experimental results show that SpatialFly consistently outperforms state-of-the-art UAV VLN baselines across both seen and unseen environments, reducing NE by 4.03m and improving SR by 1.27% over the strongest baseline on the unseen Full split. Additional trajectory-level analysis shows that SpatialFly produces trajectories with better path alignment and smoother, more stable motion.

2K Retrofit: Entropy-Guided Efficient Sparse Refinement for High-Resolution 3D Geometry Prediction

High-resolution geometric prediction is essential for robust perception in autonomous driving, robotics, and AR/MR, but current foundation models are fundamentally limited by their scalability to real-world, high-resolution scenarios. Direct inference on 2K images with these models incurs prohibitive computational and memory demands, making practical deployment challenging. To tackle the issue, we present 2K Retrofit, a novel framework that enables efficient 2K-resolution inference for any geometric foundation model, without modifying or retraining the backbone. Our approach leverages fast coarse predictions and an entropy-based sparse refinement to selectively enhance high-uncertainty regions, achieving precise and high-fidelity 2K outputs with minimal overhead. Extensive experiments on widely used benchmark demonstrate that 2K Retrofit consistently achieves state-of-the-art accuracy and speed, bridging the gap between research advances and scalable deployment in high-resolution 3D vision applications. Code will be released upon acceptance.

Generation Models Know Space: Unleashing Implicit 3D Priors for Scene Understanding

While Multimodal Large Language Models demonstrate impressive semantic capabilities, they often suffer from spatial blindness, struggling with fine-grained geometric reasoning and physical dynamics. Existing solutions typically rely on explicit 3D modalities or complex geometric scaffolding, which are limited by data scarcity and generalization challenges. In this work, we propose a paradigm shift by leveraging the implicit spatial prior within large-scale video generation models. We posit that to synthesize temporally coherent videos, these models inherently learn robust 3D structural priors and physical laws. We introduce VEGA-3D (Video Extracted Generative Awareness), a plug-and-play framework that repurposes a pre-trained video diffusion model as a Latent World Simulator. By extracting spatiotemporal features from intermediate noise levels and integrating them with semantic representations via a token-level adaptive gated fusion mechanism, we enrich MLLMs with dense geometric cues without explicit 3D supervision. Extensive experiments across 3D scene understanding, spatial reasoning, and embodied manipulation benchmarks demonstrate that our method outperforms state-of-the-art baselines, validating that generative priors provide a scalable foundation for physical-world understanding. Measuring 3D Spatial Geometric Consistency in Dynamic Video Generation

Recent generative models can produce high-fidelity videos, yet they often exhibit 3D spatial geometric inconsistencies. Existing evaluation methods fail to accurately characterize these inconsistencies: fidelity-centric metrics like FVD are insensitive to geometric distortions, while consistency-focused benchmarks often penalize valid foreground dynamics. To address this gap, we introduce SGC, a metric for evaluating 3D \textbf{S}patial \textbf{G}eometric \textbf{C}onsistency in dynamically generated videos. We quantify geometric consistency by measuring the divergence among multiple camera poses estimated from distinct local regions. Our approach first separates static from dynamic regions, then partitions the static background into spatially coherent sub-regions. We predict depth for each pixel, estimate a local camera pose for each subregion, and compute the divergence among these poses to quantify geometric consistency. Experiments on real and generative videos demonstrate that SGC robustly quantifies geometric inconsistencies, effectively identifying critical failures missed by existing metrics.

Interact3D: Compositional 3D Generation of Interactive Objects

Recent breakthroughs in 3D generation have enabled the synthesis of high-fidelity individual assets. However, generating 3D compositional objects from single images--particularly under occlusions--remains challenging. Existing methods often degrade geometric details in hidden regions and fail to preserve the underlying object-object spatial relationships (OOR). We present a novel framework Interact3D designed to generate physically plausible interacting 3D compositional objects. Our approach first leverages advanced generative priors to curate high-quality individual assets with a unified 3D guidance scene. To physically compose these assets, we then introduce a robust two-stage composition pipeline. Based on the 3D guidance scene, the primary object is anchored through precise global-to-local geometric alignment (registration), while subsequent geometries are integrated using a differentiable Signed Distance Field (SDF)-based optimization that explicitly penalizes geometry intersections. To reduce challenging collisions, we further deploy a closed-loop, agentic refinement strategy. A Vision-Language Model (VLM) autonomously analyzes multi-view renderings of the composed scene, formulates targeted corrective prompts, and guides an image editing module to iteratively self-correct the generation pipeline. Extensive experiments demonstrate that Interact3D successfully produces promising collsion-aware compositions with improved geometric fidelity and consistent spatial relationships.

SK-Adapter: Skeleton-Based Structural Control for Native 3D Generation

Native 3D generative models have achieved remarkable fidelity and speed, yet they suffer from a critical limitation: inability to prescribe precise structural articulations, where precise structural control within the native 3D space remains underexplored. This paper proposes SK-Adapter, a simple yet efficient and effective framework that unlocks precise skeletal manipulation for native 3D generation. Moving beyond text or image prompts, which can be ambiguous for precise structure, we treat the 3D skeleton as a first-class control signal. SK-Adapter is a lightweight structural adapter network that encodes joint coordinates and topology into learnable tokens, which are injected into the frozen 3D generation backbone via cross-attention. This design allows the model to not only effectively ``attend'' to specific 3D structural constraints but also preserve its original generative priors. To bridge the data gap, we contribute the Objaverse-TMS dataset, a large-scale dataset of 24k text-mesh-skeleton pairs. Extensive experiments confirm that our method achieves robust structural control while preserving the geometry and texture quality of the foundation model, significantly outperforming existing baselines. Furthermore, we extend this capability to local 3D editing, enabling region-specific editing of existing assets with skeletal guidance, which is unattainable by previous methods. InterEdit: Navigating Text-Guided 3D Dyadic Human Motion Editing

Text-guided 3D motion editing has seen success in single-person scenarios, but its extension to multi-person settings is less explored due to limited paired data and the complexity of inter-person interactions. We introduce the task of multi-person 3D motion editing, where a target motion is generated from a source and a text instruction. To support this, we propose InterEdit3D, a new dataset with manual two-person motion change annotations, and a Text-guided Multi-human Motion Editing (TMME) benchmark. We present InterEdit, a synchronized classifier-free conditional diffusion model for TMME. It introduces Semantic-Aware Plan Token Alignment with learnable tokens to capture high-level interaction cues and an Interaction-Aware Frequency Token Alignment strategy using DCT and energy pooling to model periodic motion dynamics. Experiments show that InterEdit improves text-to-motion consistency and edit fidelity, achieving state-of-the-art TMME performance. O3N: Omnidirectional Open-Vocabulary Occupancy Prediction

Understanding and reconstructing the 3D world through omnidirectional perception is becoming increasingly important for autonomous agents and embodied systems. However, existing 3D occupancy prediction methods are constrained by limited perspective inputs and a predefined training distribution, making them difficult to apply to embodied agents that require comprehensive and safe perception of scenes in open-world exploration. To address this, we present O3N, the first framework for open-vocabulary occupancy prediction from a single omnidirectional RGB image. O3N embeds omnidirectional voxels in a polar-spiral topology via the Polar-spiral Mamba (PsM) module, enabling continuous spatial representation and long-range context modeling across 360°. The Occupancy Cost Aggregation (OCA) module introduces a principled mechanism for unifying geometric and semantic supervision within the voxel space, ensuring consistency between the reconstructed geometry and the underlying semantic structure. Moreover, Natural Modality Alignment (NMA) establishes a gradient-free alignment pathway that harmonizes visual features, voxel embeddings, and text semantics, forming a consistent ``pixel-voxel-text'' representation triad. Extensive experiments on multiple models demonstrate that our method not only achieves state-of-the-art performance on QuadOcc and Human360Occ benchmarks but also exhibits remarkable cross-scene generalization and semantic scalability, highlighting the potential of O3N for scalable open-world 3D scene understanding. Controllable Egocentric Video Generation via Occlusion-Aware Sparse 3D Hand Joints

Controllable video generation for complex hand-object interactions is a critical step toward building visual world models. However, existing methods often struggle to achieve fine-grained, 3D-consistent hand articulation in generated videos. By relying on dense 2D trajectories or implicit pose representations, they collapse crucial geometric structures into spatially ambiguous signals, leading to severe motion inconsistencies and hallucinated artifacts under egocentric occlusions. To address this, we propose leveraging sparse 3D hand joints as explicit control signals with three key advantages: explicit geometry to resolve occlusions, an intuitive interface for interactive editing, and cross-embodiment generalization to robotic hands. Built upon this, our efficient control module extracts occlusion-aware features from the source reference frame by penalizing unreliable visual features from hidden joints, and employs a 3D-based weighting mechanism to handle dynamically occluded target joints during motion propagation. Meanwhile, it directly injects 3D geometric embeddings into the latent space to enforce structural consistency. To facilitate robust training and evaluation, we develop an automated annotation pipeline, yielding 1M high-quality egocentric video clips paired with precise hand trajectories. Experiments demonstrate that our approach outperforms state-of-the-art baselines, generating high-fidelity egocentric videos with realistic hand-object interactions.

Articulat3D: Reconstructing Articulated Digital Twins From Monocular Videos with Geometric and Motion Constraints

Building high-fidelity digital twins of articulated objects from visual data remains a central challenge. Existing approaches depend on multi-view captures of the object in discrete, static states, which severely constrains their real-world scalability. In this paper, we introduce Articulat3D, a novel framework that constructs such digital twins from casually captured monocular videos by jointly enforcing explicit 3D geometric and motion constraints. We first propose Motion Prior-Driven Initialization, which leverages 3D point tracks to exploit the low-dimensional structure of articulated motion. By modeling scene dynamics with a compact set of motion bases, we facilitate soft decomposition of the scene into multiple rigidly moving groups. Building on this initialization, we introduce Geometric and Motion Constraints Refinement, which enforces physically plausible articulation through learnable kinematic primitives parameterized by a joint axis, a pivot point, and per-frame motion scalars, yielding reconstructions that are both geometrically accurate and temporally coherent. Extensive experiments demonstrate that Articulat3D achieves state-of-the-art performance on synthetic benchmarks and real-world casually captured monocular videos, significantly advancing the feasibility of digital twin creation under uncontrolled real-world conditions. PanoAffordanceNet: Towards Holistic Affordance Grounding in 360° Indoor Environments

Global perception is essential for embodied agents in 360° spaces, yet current affordance grounding remains largely object-centric and restricted to perspective views. To bridge this gap, we introduce a novel task: Holistic Affordance Grounding in 360° Indoor Environments. This task faces unique challenges, including severe geometric distortions from Equirectangular Projection (ERP), semantic dispersion, and cross-scale alignment difficulties. We propose PanoAffordanceNet, an end-to-end framework featuring a Distortion-Aware Spectral Modulator (DASM) for latitude-dependent calibration and an Omni-Spherical Densification Head (OSDH) to restore topological continuity from sparse activations. By integrating multi-level constraints comprising pixel-wise, distributional, and region-text contrastive objectives, our framework effectively suppresses semantic drift under low supervision. Furthermore, we construct 360-AGD, the first high-quality panoramic affordance grounding dataset. Extensive experiments demonstrate that PanoAffordanceNet significantly outperforms existing methods, establishing a solid baseline for scene-level perception in embodied intelligence. OSCAR: Occupancy-based Shape Completion via Acoustic Neural Implicit Representations

Accurate 3D reconstruction of vertebral anatomy from ultrasound is important for guiding minimally invasive spine interventions, but it remains challenging due to acoustic shadowing and view-dependent signal variations. We propose an occupancy-based shape completion method that reconstructs complete 3D anatomical geometry from partial ultrasound observations. Crucially for intra-operative applications, our approach extracts the anatomical surface directly from the image, avoiding the need for anatomical labels during inference. This label-free completion relies on a coupled latent space representing both the image appearance and the underlying anatomical shape. By leveraging a Neural Implicit Representation (NIR) that jointly models both spatial occupancy and acoustic interactions, the method uses acoustic parameters to become implicitly aware of the unseen regions without explicit shadowing labels through tracking acoustic signal transmission. We show that this method outperforms state-of-the-art shape completion for B-mode ultrasound by 80% in HD95 score. We validate our approach both in-silico and on phantom US images with registered mesh models from CT labels, demonstrating accurate reconstruction of occluded anatomy and robust generalization across diverse imaging conditions. Code and data will be released on publication.

Animating Petascale Time-varying Data on Commodity Hardware with LLM-assisted Scripting

Scientists face significant visualization challenges as time-varying datasets grow in speed and volume, often requiring specialized infrastructure and expertise to handle massive datasets. Petascale climate models generated in NASA laboratories require a dedicated group of graphics and media experts and access to high-performance computing resources. Scientists may need to share scientific results with the community iteratively and quickly. However, the time-consuming trial-and-error process incurs significant data transfer overhead and far exceeds the time and resources allocated for typical post-analysis visualization tasks, disrupting the production workflow. Our paper introduces a user-friendly framework for creating 3D animations of petascale, time-varying data on a commodity workstation. Our contributions: (i) Generalized Animation Descriptor (GAD) with a keyframe-based adaptable abstraction for animation, (ii) efficient data access from cloud-hosted repositories to reduce data management overhead, (iii) tailored rendering system, and (iv) an LLM-assisted conversational interface as a scripting module to allow domain scientists with no visualization expertise to create animations of their region of interest. We demonstrate the framework's effectiveness with two case studies: first, by generating animations in which sampling criteria are specified based on prior knowledge, and second, by generating AI-assisted animations in which sampling parameters are derived from natural-language user prompts. In all cases, we use large-scale NASA climate-oceanographic datasets that exceed 1PB in size yet achieve a fast turnaround time of 1 minute to 2 hours. Users can generate a rough draft of the animation within minutes, then seamlessly incorporate as much high-resolution data as needed for the final version.

Can we Trust Unreliable Voxels? Exploring 3D Semantic Occupancy Prediction under Label Noise

3D semantic occupancy prediction is a cornerstone of robotic perception, yet real-world voxel annotations are inherently corrupted by structural artifacts and dynamic trailing effects. This raises a critical but underexplored question: can autonomous systems safely rely on such unreliable occupancy supervision? To systematically investigate this issue, we establish OccNL, the first benchmark dedicated to 3D occupancy under occupancy-asymmetric and dynamic trailing noise. Our analysis reveals a fundamental domain gap: state-of-the-art 2D label noise learning strategies collapse catastrophically in sparse 3D voxel spaces, exposing a critical vulnerability in existing paradigms. To address this challenge, we propose DPR-Occ, a principled label-noise-robust framework that constructs reliable supervision through dual-source partial label reasoning. By synergizing temporal model memory with representation-level structural affinity, DPR-Occ dynamically expands and prunes candidate label sets to preserve true semantics while suppressing noise propagation. Extensive experiments on SemanticKITTI demonstrate that DPR-Occ prevents geometric and semantic collapse under extreme corruption. Notably, even at 90% label noise, our method achieves significant performance gains (up to 2.57% mIoU and 13.91% IoU) over existing label noise learning baselines adapted to the 3D occupancy prediction task. By bridging label noise learning and 3D perception, OccNL and DPR-Occ provide a reliable foundation for safety-critical robotic perception in dynamic environments. PROBE: Probabilistic Occupancy BEV Encoding with Analytical Translation Robustness for 3D Place Recognition

We present PROBE (PRobabilistic Occupancy BEV Encoding), a learning-free LiDAR place recognition descriptor that models each BEV cell's occupancy as a Bernoulli random variable. Rather than relying on discrete point-cloud perturbations, PROBE analytically marginalizes over continuous Cartesian translations via the polar Jacobian, yielding a distance-adaptive angular uncertainty σθ=σt/rσ_θ= σ_t / r in O(R⋅S)\mathcal{O}(R{\cdot}S) time. The primary parameter σtσ_t represents the expected translational uncertainty in meters, a sensor-independent physical quantity that enhances cross-sensor generalization while reducing the need for extensive per-dataset tuning. Pairwise similarity combines a Bernoulli-KL Jaccard with exponential uncertainty gating and FFT-based height cosine similarity for rotation alignment. Evaluated on four datasets spanning four diverse LiDAR types, PROBE achieves the highest accuracy among handcrafted descriptors in multi-session evaluation and competitive single-session performance relative to both handcrafted and supervised baselines. VS3R: Robust Full-frame Video Stabilization via Deep 3D Reconstruction

Video stabilization aims to mitigate camera shake but faces a fundamental trade-off between geometric robustness and full-frame consistency. While 2D methods suffer from aggressive cropping, 3D techniques are often undermined by fragile optimization pipelines that fail under extreme motions. Novel view synthesis models suffer from structural artifacts and scale blindness. To bridge this gap, we propose VS3R, a framework that synergizes feed-forward 3D reconstruction with generative video diffusion. Our pipeline jointly estimates camera parameters, depth, and masks to ensure all-scenario reliability, and introduces a Hybrid Stabilized Rendering (HSR) module that fuses semantic and geometric cues to preliminarily address parallax occlusions caused by pose transformations while maintaining dynamic-static consistency. Finally, a Video Stabilization-Driven Diffusion Model (VSDM) leverages contextual information to restore disoccluded regions, jointly optimizing texture and temporal consistency. Collectively, VS3R achieves high-fidelity, full-frame stabilization across diverse camera models and significantly outperforms state-of-the-art methods in robustness and visual quality.

Edit in 2D, Verify in 3D: Reinforcement Learning for Multi-view Consistent Scene Editing

Leveraging the priors of 2D diffusion models for 3D editing has emerged as a promising paradigm. However, multi-view consistency remains challenging in edited results, and the extreme scarcity of paired 3D-consistent editing data makes supervised fine-tuning (SFT) impractical, despite its effectiveness for editing tasks. In this paper, we observe that, while generating multi-view consistent 3D content is highly challenging, verifying 3D consistency is tractable, naturally positioning reinforcement learning (RL) as a feasible solution. Motivated by this, we propose RL3DEdit, a single-pass framework driven by RL optimization with novel rewards derived from the 3D foundation model, VGGT. Specifically, we leverage VGGT's robust priors learned from massive real-world data, feed the edited images into it, and utilize the output confidence maps and pose estimation errors as reward signals, effectively anchoring the 2D editing priors onto a 3D-consistent manifold via RL. Extensive experiments demonstrate that RL3DEdit achieves stable multi-view consistency and outperforms state-of-the-art methods in editing quality with high efficiency. To promote the development of 3D editing, we will release the code and model.

StemVLA:An Open-Source Vision-Language-Action Model with Future 3D Spatial Geometry Knowledge and 4D Historical Representation

Vision-language-action (VLA) models integrate visual observations and language instructions to predict robot actions, demonstrating promising generalization in manipulation tasks. However, most existing approaches primarily rely on direct mappings from 2D visual inputs to action sequences, without explicitly modeling the underlying 3D spatial structure or temporal world dynamics. Such representations may limit spatial reasoning and long-horizon decision-making in dynamic environments. To address this limitation, we propose StemVLA, a novel framework that explicitly incorporates both future-oriented 3D spatial knowledge and historical 4D spatiotemporal representations into action prediction. First, instead of relying solely on observed images, StemVLA forecasts structured 3D future spatial-geometric world knowledge, enabling the model to anticipate upcoming scene geometry and object configurations. Second, to capture temporal consistency and motion dynamics, we feed historical image frames into a pretrained video-geometry transformer backbone to extract implicit 3D world representations, and further aggregate them across time using a temporal attention module, termed VideoFormer [20], forming a unified 4D historical spatiotemporal representation. By jointly modeling 2D observations, predicted 3D future structure, and aggregated 4D temporal dynamics, StemVLA enables more comprehensive world understanding for robot manipulation. Extensive experiments in simulation demonstrate that Stem-VLA achieves an average accuracy of 92.0% across the LIBERO subsets, and 86.0% on the long-horizon LIBERO-Long subset.

BrepCoder: A Unified Multimodal Large Language Model for Multi-task B-rep Reasoning

Recent advancements in deep learning have actively addressed complex challenges within the Computer-Aided Design (CAD) domain. However, most existing approaches rely on task-specifi c models requiring structural modifi cations for new tasks, and they predominantly focus on point clouds or images rather than the industry-standard Boundary Representation (B-rep) format. To address these limitations, we propose BrepCoder, a unifi ed Multimodal Large Language Model (MLLM) that performs diverse CAD tasks from B-rep inputs. By leveraging the code generation capabilities of Large Language Models (LLMs), we convert CAD modeling sequences into Python-like code and align them with B-rep. We then adopt a two-stage training strategy: First, pre-training on reverse engineering to learn geometric features and design logic. Second, eff ectively extending the model to various downstream tasks such as completion, error correction, and CAD-QA. Consequently, by interpreting B-rep as structural code, BrepCoder achieves superior generalization across diverse tasks, demonstrating its potential as a general-purpose CAD agent.

AnyStyle: Single-Pass Multimodal Stylization for 3D Gaussian Splatting

The growing demand for rapid and scalable 3D asset creation has driven interest in feed-forward 3D reconstruction methods, with 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) emerging as an effective scene representation. While recent approaches have demonstrated pose-free reconstruction from unposed image collections, integrating stylization or appearance control into such pipelines remains underexplored. Existing attempts largely rely on image-based conditioning, which limits both controllability and flexibility. In this work, we introduce AnyStyle, a feed-forward 3D reconstruction and stylization framework that enables pose-free, zero-shot stylization through multimodal conditioning. Our method supports both textual and visual style inputs, allowing users to control the scene appearance using natural language descriptions or reference images. We propose a modular stylization architecture that requires only minimal architectural modifications and can be integrated into existing feed-forward 3D reconstruction backbones. Experiments demonstrate that AnyStyle improves style controllability over prior feed-forward stylization methods while preserving high-quality geometric reconstruction. A user study further confirms that AnyStyle achieves superior stylization quality compared to an existing state-of-the-art approach. Repository: https://github.com/joaxkal/AnyStyle.

MetricAnything: Scaling Metric Depth Pretraining with Noisy Heterogeneous Sources

Scaling has powered recent advances in vision foundation models, yet extending this paradigm to metric depth estimation remains challenging due to heterogeneous sensor noise, camera-dependent biases, and metric ambiguity in noisy cross-source 3D data. We introduce Metric Anything, a simple and scalable pretraining framework that learns metric depth from noisy, diverse 3D sources without manually engineered prompts, camera-specific modeling, or task-specific architectures. Central to our approach is the Sparse Metric Prompt, created by randomly masking depth maps, which serves as a universal interface that decouples spatial reasoning from sensor and camera biases. Using about 20M image-depth pairs spanning reconstructed, captured, and rendered 3D data across 10000 camera models, we demonstrate-for the first time-a clear scaling trend in the metric depth track. The pretrained model excels at prompt-driven tasks such as depth completion, super-resolution and Radar-camera fusion, while its distilled prompt-free student achieves state-of-the-art results on monocular depth estimation, camera intrinsics recovery, single/multi-view metric 3D reconstruction, and VLA planning. We also show that using pretrained ViT of Metric Anything as a visual encoder significantly boosts Multimodal Large Language Model capabilities in spatial intelligence. These results show that metric depth estimation can benefit from the same scaling laws that drive modern foundation models, establishing a new path toward scalable and efficient real-world metric perception. We open-source MetricAnything at http://metric-anything.github.io/metric-anything-io/ to support community research.

Highly Deformable Proprioceptive Membrane for Real-Time 3D Shape Reconstruction

Reconstructing the three-dimensional (3D) geometry of object surfaces is essential for robot perception, yet vision-based approaches degrade under low illumination or occlusion. This limitation motivates the design of a proprioceptive membrane that conforms to the surface of interest and infers 3D geometry by reconstructing its own deformation. Conventional deformation-aware membranes typically rely on resistive, capacitive, or magneto-sensitive mechanisms, but can suffer from structural complexity, limited compliance during large-scale deformation, and susceptibility to electromagnetic interference. This work presents a soft, flexible, and stretchable proprioceptive silicone membrane based on optical waveguide sensing. The membrane integrates edge-mounted LEDs and centrally-distributed photodiodes (PDs) within a multilayer elastomeric composite. Rich deformation-dependent light-intensity signals are decoded by a data-driven model to recover the membrane geometry. Real-time reconstruction is demonstrated on a customized 140 mm square membrane at an end-to-end update rate of 90 Hz, achieving an average reconstruction error of 1.307 mm for out-of-plane deformation of up to 25 mm. The proposed sensor also demonstrates accurate reconstruction under large in-plane deformation, achieving reliable shape recovery up to 75% strain with an average Chamfer distance of 1.214 mm. A2^2TG: Adaptive Anisotropic Textured Gaussians for Efficient 3D Scene Representation

Gaussian Splatting has emerged as a powerful representation for high-quality, real-time 3D scene rendering. While recent works extend Gaussians with learnable textures to enrich visual appearance, existing approaches allocate a fixed square texture per primitive, leading to inefficient memory usage and limited adaptability to scene variability. In this paper, we introduce adaptive anisotropic textured Gaussians (A2^2TG), a novel representation that generalizes textured Gaussians by equipping each primitive with an anisotropic texture. Our method employs a gradient-guided adaptive rule to jointly determine texture resolution and aspect ratio, enabling non-uniform, detail-aware allocation that aligns with the anisotropic nature of Gaussian splats. This design significantly improves texture efficiency, reducing memory consumption while enhancing image quality. Experiments on multiple benchmark datasets demonstrate that A TG consistently outperforms fixed-texture Gaussian Splatting methods, achieving comparable rendering fidelity with substantially lower memory requirements. Quantum Implicit Neural Representations for Novel View Synthesis

Quantum implicit neural representations have recently emerged as compact function approximators for continuous visual signals. In parallel, Neural Radiance Fields (NeRFs) have become a dominant framework for novel-view synthesis by recovering continuous volumetric scene representations from posed 2D images, but often require substantial model capacity and intensive optimisation. We introduce 3D Quantum Implicit Scene Representation (3D-QISR), the first hybrid quantum-classical radiance-field model for novel-view synthesis from 2D observations. 3D-QISR replaces the classical NeRF backbone with parameterised quantum circuits that encode spatial and view-dependent information through quantum state transformations, enabling compact quantum-enhanced implicit representations while preserving compatibility with standard volumetric rendering. We propose two architectures: Full 3D-QISR, which maximises the representational role of a unified quantum state, and Dual-Branch 3D-QISR, which separates spatial and view-dependent quantum embeddings to introduce a task-aligned inductive bias, reduce state-preparation complexity, and improve scalability and hardware compatibility. Experiments on moderate-resolution novel-view synthesis benchmarks show that 3D-QISR executed on simulated quantum hardware matches or outperforms classical baselines while using fewer than half the trainable parameters. These results position quantum neural networks as compact and competitive building blocks for continuous volumetric scene representation, opening a new direction for quantum-enhanced implicit neural rendering.

DivAS: Interactive 3D Segmentation by Depth-Weighted Voxel Aggregation

Interactive 3D segmentation of a reconstructed scene should not require a representation-specific optimization loop. We observe that the recipe for lifting 2D foundation-model masks into 3D, namely prompting a few views, refining the resulting masks with rendered depth, and fusing the multi-view evidence into a voxel grid, is shared across scene representations. What remains representation-specific is only the depth signal returned by the renderer and the occupancy prior that gates fusion. We present DivAS (Depth-interactive Voxel Aggregation Segmentation), an optimization-free, training-free framework that realizes this recipe as a single interaction-and-fusion skeleton with lightweight, representation-specific adapters, instantiated on both Gaussian Splatting (GS) and NeRF backbones. On standard forward-facing and unbounded benchmarks, the GS instantiation attains segmentation quality competitive with state-of-the-art optimization-based methods, and the best on LLFF, while being the only one to reach this quality within the consumer-hardware memory envelope at standard resolution. Both instantiations run end-to-end around 22x faster than feature-field baselines, with a per-update fusion-kernel cost below 7070 ms. Because segmentation evidence is gathered from a small, bounded set of anchor views, user effort and computation remain independent of the training-set size. The same skeleton applied to a NeRF backbone matches or exceeds the performance of optimization-based NeRF baselines, confirming that the recipe transfers across fundamentally different 3D representations.

G2P: Gaussian-to-Point Attribute Alignment for Boundary-Aware 3D Segmentation

Point cloud segmentation is critical for 3D scene understanding. However, sparse and irregular point distributions provide limited appearance evidence, making geometry-only features insufficient to distinguish objects with similar shapes but distinct appearances e.g., color, texture, and material. We propose Gaussian-to-Point (G2P), which transfers Gaussian attributes from 3D Gaussian Splatting to point clouds for more discriminative and appearance-consistent segmentation. Our G2P addresses the misalignment between optimized Gaussians and original point geometry by establishing point-wise correspondences. By distilling opacity-derived visibility cues, we mitigate the geometric ambiguity that limits existing models. Additionally, Gaussian scale attributes enable precise boundary localization in complex 3D scenes. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our approach achieves competitive performance on standard benchmarks and shows notable improvements on geometrically challenging classes, without pretrained 2D features or language supervision in our segmentation pipeline.

UniPR-3D: Towards Universal Visual Place Recognition with Visual Geometry Grounded Transformer

Visual Place Recognition (VPR) has been traditionally formulated as a single-image retrieval task. Using multiple views offers clear advantages, yet this setting remains relatively underexplored and existing methods often struggle to generalize across diverse environments. In this work we introduce UniPR-3D, the first VPR architecture that effectively integrates information from multiple views. UniPR-3D builds on a VGGT backbone capable of encoding multi-view 3D representations, which we adapt by designing feature aggregators and fine-tune for the place recognition task. To construct our descriptor, we jointly leverage the 3D tokens and intermediate 2D tokens produced by VGGT. Based on their distinct characteristics, we design dedicated aggregation modules for 2D and 3D features, allowing our descriptor to capture fine-grained texture cues while also reasoning across viewpoints. To further enhance generalization, we incorporate both single- and multi-frame aggregation schemes, along with a variable-length sequence retrieval strategy. Our experiments show that UniPR-3D sets a new state of the art, outperforming both single- and multi-view baselines and highlighting the effectiveness of geometry-grounded tokens for VPR. Our code and models will be made publicly available on Github https://github.com/dtc111111/UniPR-3D.

PanoGrounder: Bridging 2D and 3D with Panoramic Scene Representations for VLM-based 3D Visual Grounding

3D Visual Grounding (3DVG) is a critical bridge from vision-language perception to robotics, requiring both language understanding and 3D scene reasoning. Traditional supervised models leverage explicit 3D geometry but exhibit limited generalization, owing to the scarcity of 3D vision-language datasets and the limited reasoning capabilities compared to modern vision-language models (VLMs). We propose a generalizable 3DVG framework, PanoGrounder, that couples multi-modal panoramic representation with pretrained 2D VLMs for strong vision-language reasoning. Panoramic renderings, augmented with 3D semantic and geometric features, serve as an intermediate representation between 2D and 3D, and offer two major benefits: (i) they can be directly fed to VLMs with minimal adaptation and (ii) they retain long-range object-to-object relations thanks to their 360-degree field of view. We devise a three-stage pipeline that places a compact set of panoramic viewpoints considering the scene layout and geometry, grounds a text query on each panoramic rendering with a VLM, and fuses per-view predictions into a single 3D bounding box via lifting. Our approach achieves state-of-the-art results on ScanRefer and Nr3D, and demonstrates strong generalization to unseen 3D datasets and text rephrasings.

Instant Expressive Gaussian Head Avatars at Over 100 FPS

Portrait animation has witnessed tremendous quality improvements thanks to recent advances in video diffusion models. However, these 2D methods often compromise 3D consistency and speed, limiting their applicability in real-world scenarios, such as digital twins or telepresence. In contrast, 3D-aware feedforward facial animation methods -- built upon 3D representations, such as neural radiance fields or Gaussian splatting -- ensure 3D consistency and achieve faster inference speed, but come with inferior expression details. In this paper, we address this portrait animation trilemma (speed, 3D consistency, and expressiveness) and propose a pipeline that instantly converts an in-the-wild single image into a 3D-consistent, fast yet expressive animatable representation via a feed-forward encoder. Unlike previous computationally intensive global fusion mechanisms (e.g., multiple attention layers) for fusing 3D structural and animation information, our design employs an efficient lightweight local fusion strategy to achieve high animation expressivity. Furthermore, our animation representation is decoupled from the face's 3D representation and learns motion implicitly from data, eliminating the dependency on pre-defined parametric models that often constrain animation capabilities. Our method runs at 107.31 FPS for animation and pose control, representing a 3-4 order of magnitude speedup versus the state of the art while achieving comparable animation quality, thus surpassing alternative designs that trade speed for quality or vice versa.

Elastic3D: Controllable Stereo Video Conversion with Guided Latent Decoding

The growing demand for immersive 3D content calls for automated monocular-to-stereo video conversion. We present Elastic3D, a controllable, direct end-to-end method for upgrading a conventional video to a binocular one. Our approach, based on (conditional) latent diffusion, avoids artifacts due to explicit depth estimation and warping. The key to its high-quality stereo video output is a novel, guided VAE decoder that ensures sharp and epipolar-consistent stereo video output. Moreover, our method gives the user control over the strength of the stereo effect (more precisely, the disparity range) at inference time, via an intuitive, scalar tuning knob. Experiments on three different datasets of real-world stereo videos show that our method outperforms both traditional warping-based and recent warping-free baselines and sets a new standard for reliable, controllable stereo video conversion. Audio-Visual Camera Pose Estimation with Passive Scene Sounds and In-the-Wild Video

Understanding camera motion is a fundamental problem in embodied perception and 3D scene understanding. While visual methods have advanced rapidly, they often struggle under visually degraded conditions such as motion blur or occlusions. In this work, we show that passive scene sounds provide cues complementary to vision for relative camera pose estimation for in-the-wild videos. We introduce a simple but effective audio-visual framework that integrates direction-of-arrival (DOA) spectra and binauralized embeddings into a state-of-the-art vision-only pose estimation model. Our results on two large datasets show consistent gains over strong visual baselines, plus robustness when the visual information is corrupted. To our knowledge, this represents the first work to successfully leverage audio for relative camera pose estimation in real-world videos, and it establishes incidental, everyday audio as an unexpected but promising signal for a classic spatial challenge. AGORA: Adversarial Generation Of Real-time Animatable 3D Gaussian Head Avatars

The generation of high-fidelity, animatable 3D human avatars remains a core challenge in computer graphics and vision, with applications in VR, telepresence, and entertainment. Existing approaches based on implicit representations like NeRFs suffer from slow rendering and dynamic inconsistencies, while 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) methods are typically limited to static head generation, lacking dynamic control. We bridge this gap by introducing AGORA, a novel framework that extends 3DGS within a generative adversarial network to produce animatable avatars. Our key contribution is a lightweight, FLAME-conditioned deformation branch that predicts per-Gaussian residuals, enabling identity-preserving, fine-grained expression control while allowing real-time inference. Identity is further preserved through spatial shape conditioning of the identity branch, and expression fidelity is enforced via a dual-discriminator training scheme leveraging synthetic renderings of the parametric mesh. AGORA generates avatars that are not only visually realistic but also precisely controllable. Quantitatively, we outperform state-of-the-art NeRF-based methods on expression accuracy while rendering at 250 FPS on a single GPU and, notably, at ∼\sim9 FPS under CPU-only inference -- to our knowledge the first demonstration of CPU-only animatable 3DGS avatar synthesis. This work represents a significant step toward practical, high-performance digital humans. Project website: https://ramazan793.github.io/AGORA/

LeAD-M3D: Leveraging Asymmetric Distillation for Real-Time Monocular 3D Detection

Real-time monocular 3D object detection remains challenging due to severe depth ambiguity, viewpoint shifts, and the high computational cost of 3D reasoning. Existing approaches either rely on LiDAR or geometric priors to compensate for missing depth or sacrifice efficiency to achieve competitive accuracy. We introduce LeAD-M3D, a monocular 3D detector that achieves state-of-the-art accuracy and real-time inference without extra modalities. Our method is enabled by three key components. Asymmetric Augmentation Denoising Distillation (A2D2) transfers geometric knowledge from a clean-image teacher to a MixUp-noised student via a quality- and importance-weighted depth-feature loss, enabling stronger depth reasoning without LiDAR. 3D-aware Consistent Matching (CM3D_{\text{3D}}) improves prediction-to-ground truth assignment by integrating 3D MGIoU into the matching score, yielding stable and precise supervision. Finally, Confidence-Gated 3D Inference (CGI3D_{\text{3D}}) accelerates inference by restricting expensive 3D regression to confident regions. Together, these contributions set a new Pareto frontier for monocular 3D detection: LeAD-M3D achieves state-of-the-art accuracy on KITTI and Waymo, and the best reported car AP on Rope3D, while running up to 3.6 ×\,\times faster than prior high-accuracy models (e.g., MonoDiff). LeAD-M3D demonstrates that high fidelity and real-time monocular 3D detection is simultaneously attainable, without LiDAR, stereo, or strong geometric assumptions.

GENA3D: Generative Amodal 3D Modeling by Bridging 2D Priors and 3D Coherence

Generating complete 3D objects under partial occlusions (i.e., amodal scenarios) is a practically important yet challenging problem, as large portions of object geometry are unobserved in real-world scenarios. Existing approaches either operate directly in 3D, which ensures geometric consistency but often lacks generative expressiveness, or rely on 2D amodal completion, which provides strong appearance priors but does not guarantee reliable 3D structure. This raises a key question: how can we achieve both generative plausibility and geometric coherence in amodal 3D modeling? To answer this question, we introduce GENA3D (GENarative Amodal 3D), a framework that integrates learned 2D generative priors with explicit 3D geometric reasoning within a conditional 3D generation paradigm. The 2D priors enable the model to plausibly infer diverse occluded content, while the 3D representation enforces multi-view consistency and spatial validity. Our design incorporates a novel View-Wise Cross-Attention for multi-view alignment and a Stereo-Conditioned Cross-Attention to anchor generative predictions in 3D relationships. By combining generative imagination with structural constraints, GENA3D generates complete and coherent 3D objects from limited observations without sacrificing geometric fidelity. Experiments demonstrate that our method outperforms existing approaches in both synthetic and real-world amodal scenarios, highlighting the effectiveness of bridging 2D priors and 3D coherence in generating plausible and geometrically consistent 3D structures in complex environments.

Unlocking Zero-shot Potential of Semi-dense Image Matching via Gaussian Splatting

Learning-based image matching critically depends on large-scale, diverse, and geometrically accurate training data. 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) enables photorealistic novel-view synthesis and thus is attractive for data generation. However, its geometric inaccuracies and biased depth rendering currently prevent robust correspondence labeling. To address this, we introduce MatchGS, the first framework designed to systematically correct and leverage 3DGS for robust, zero-shot image matching. Our approach is twofold: (1) a geometrically-faithful data generation pipeline that refines 3DGS geometry to produce highly precise correspondence labels, enabling the synthesis of a vast and diverse range of viewpoints without compromising rendering fidelity; and (2) a 2D-3D representation alignment strategy that infuses 3DGS' explicit 3D knowledge into the 2D matcher, guiding 2D semi-dense matchers to learn viewpoint-invariant 3D representations. Our generated ground-truth correspondences reduce the epipolar error by up to 40 times compared to existing datasets, enable supervision under extreme viewpoint changes, and provide self-supervisory signals through Gaussian attributes. Consequently, state-of-the-art matchers trained solely on our data achieve significant zero-shot performance gains on public benchmarks, with improvements of up to 17.7%. Our work demonstrates that with proper geometric refinement, 3DGS can serve as a scalable, high-fidelity, and structurally-rich data source, paving the way for a new generation of robust zero-shot image matchers.

FlowerDance: MeanFlow for Efficient and Refined 3D Dance Generation

Music-to-dance generation aims to translate auditory signals into expressive human motion, with broad applications in virtual reality, choreography, and digital entertainment. Despite promising progress, the limited generation efficiency of existing methods leaves insufficient computational headroom for high-fidelity 3D rendering, thereby constraining the expressiveness of 3D characters during real-world applications. Thus, we propose FlowerDance, which not only generates refined motion with physical plausibility and artistic expressiveness, but also achieves significant generation efficiency on inference speed and memory utilization. Specifically, FlowerDance combines MeanFlow with Physical Consistency Constraints, which enables high-quality motion generation with only a few sampling steps. Moreover, FlowerDance leverages a simple but efficient model architecture with BiMamba-based backbone and Channel-Level Cross-Modal Fusion, which generates dance with efficient non-autoregressive manner. Meanwhile, FlowerDance supports motion editing, enabling users to interactively refine dance sequences. Extensive experiments on AIST++ and FineDance show that FlowerDance achieves state-of-the-art results in both motion quality and generation efficiency. Code will be released upon acceptance.

Vision-Language Memory for Spatial Reasoning

Spatial reasoning is a critical capability for intelligent robots, yet current vision-language models (VLMs) still fall short of human-level performance in video-based spatial reasoning. This gap mainly stems from two challenges: a semantic-geometric misalignment that prevents consistent 3D understanding, and the absence of persistent memory to retain 3D representation and understanding across frames. To address these limitations, we present VLM2^2, a Vision-Language Model with persistent Memory for spatial reasoning with a view-consistent, 3D-aware representation purely from 2D videos. Specifically, we incorporate a dual-memory module consisting of a working memory that operates as a sliding window to focus on immediate context, and an episodic memory that consolidates and stores critical information across frames. This design enables bounded and efficient spatial reasoning under a fixed computational cost. Extensive experiments on multiple benchmarks show that VLM2^2 achieves state-of-the-art performance among video-based models, significantly advancing the frontier of visual-spatial intelligence.

Let Language Constrain Geometry: Vision-Language Models as Semantic and Spatial Critics for 3D Generation

Text-to-3D generation has advanced rapidly, yet state-of-the-art models, encompassing both optimization-based and feed-forward architectures, still face two fundamental limitations. First, they struggle with coarse semantic alignment, often failing to capture fine-grained prompt details. Second, they lack robust 3D spatial understanding, leading to geometric inconsistencies and catastrophic failures in part assembly and spatial relationships. To address these challenges, we propose VLM3D, a general framework that repurposes large vision-language models (VLMs) as powerful, differentiable semantic and spatial critics. Our core contribution is a dual-query critic signal derived from the VLM's Yes or No log-odds, which assesses both semantic fidelity and geometric coherence. We demonstrate the generality of this guidance signal across two distinct paradigms: (1) As a reward objective for optimization-based pipelines, VLM3D significantly outperforms existing methods on standard benchmarks. (2) As a test-time guidance module for feed-forward pipelines, it actively steers the iterative sampling process of SOTA native 3D models to correct severe spatial errors. VLM3D establishes a principled and generalizable path to inject the VLM's rich, language-grounded understanding of both semantics and space into diverse 3D generative pipelines.

Label-Efficient 3D Forest Mapping: Self-Supervised and Transfer Learning for Instance Segmentation, Semantic Segmentation, and Species Classification

Detailed structural and species information on individual tree level is increasingly important to support precision forestry, biodiversity conservation, and provide reference data for biomass and carbon mapping. Point clouds from airborne and ground-based laser scanning are currently the most suitable data source to rapidly derive such information at scale. Recent advancements in deep learning improved segmenting and classifying individual trees and identifying semantic tree components. However, deep learning models typically require large amounts of annotated training data which limits further improvement. Producing dense, high-quality annotations for 3D point clouds, especially in complex forests, is labor-intensive and challenging to scale. We explore strategies to reduce dependence on large annotated datasets using self-supervised and transfer learning. Our objective is to improve performance across three tasks: instance segmentation, semantic segmentation, and tree classification using realistic and operational training sets. We observe improvements across all tasks, compared to training from scratch, evaluated with their respective metrics. For instance segmentation, self-supervised learning combined with domain adaptation improves AP50 by 16.98%. For semantic segmentation, self-supervised learning alone improves mIoU by 1.79%. For tree classification, hierarchical transfer learning improves mean Jaccard by 6.07%. To simplify use and encourage uptake, we integrated the tasks into a unified framework, streamlining the process from raw point clouds to tree delineation, structural analysis, and species classification. Pretrained models reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions by ~21%. This open-source contribution aims to accelerate operational extraction of individual tree information from laser scanning point clouds to support forestry, biodiversity, and carbon mapping.

3D Cal: An Open-Source Software Library for Depth Reconstruction on Vision-Based Tactile Sensors

Tactile sensing plays a key role in enabling dexterous and reliable robotic manipulation, but realizing this capability requires substantial calibration to convert raw sensor readings into physically meaningful quantities. Despite its near-universal necessity, the calibration process remains ad hoc and labor-intensive. Here, we introduce 3D Cal, an open-source library that transforms a low-cost 3D printer into an automated probing device capable of generating large volumes of labeled training data for calibrating vision-based tactile sensors. 3D Cal also provides an end-to-end, user-friendly pipeline for training custom convolutional networks to produce high-quality depth reconstructions. Using 3D Cal, we systematically explore the relationship between training data volume and spatial reconstruction performance on two commercially available sensors, DIGIT and GelSight Mini, and derive practical, empirically-grounded guidelines for calibrating these sensors. Finally, we demonstrate depth reconstruction performance on the DIGIT and GelSight Mini comparable to state-of-the-art methods, achieving average reconstruction errors of 156 μm\mathrm{μm} and 205 μm\mathrm{μm} on unseen objects, respectively. By automating tactile sensor calibration, 3D Cal can accelerate tactile sensing research, simplify sensor deployment, and facilitate the integration of tactile sensing in robotic platforms.

Apples on the Table? Evaluating Text-Guided 3D Scene Synthesis via Fine-Grained Constraint Verification

Accurately synthesizing 3D scenes from user-provided text descriptions is crucial for developing embodied agents. Despite the importance of scene-description alignment, existing evaluation methods for such text-guided 3D scene synthesis either capture only coarse similarity between the synthesized scene and the user description, or ignore the spatial reasoning for verifying object placement. None of them addressed the fine-grained constraints (e.g., X needs to be in the scene in a Y manner) implied by the description from users. To address this, we introduce LEGO, a benchmark dataset that pairs each user description with human-annotated constraints and a reference scene, and LEGO-Eval, an evaluation framework that decomposes a description into atomic constraints and verifies each one using tools that ground textual references to 3D objects and reason about their spatial relationships. We show that (i) LEGO-Eval evaluates misalignment far more accurately than existing methods and (ii) current scene synthesis approaches achieve at most 10% success rate in LEGO-Eval.

Deep Unrolling of Sparsity-Induced RDO for 3D Point Cloud Attribute Coding

Given encoded 3D point cloud geometry available at the decoder, we study the problem of lossy attribute compression in a multi-resolution B-spline projection framework. A target continuous 3D attribute function is first projected onto a sequence of nested subspaces Fl0(p)⊆⋯⊆FL(p)\mathcal{F}^{(p)}_{l_0} \subseteq \cdots \subseteq \mathcal{F}^{(p)}_{L}, where Fl(p)\mathcal{F}^{(p)}_{l} is a family of functions spanned by a B-spline basis function of order pp at a chosen scale and its integer shifts. The projected low-pass coefficients Fl∗F_l^* are computed by variable-complexity unrolling of a rate-distortion (RD) optimization algorithm into a feed-forward network, where the rate term is the sparsity-promoting ℓ1\ell_1-norm. Thus, the projection operation is end-to-end differentiable. For a chosen coarse-to-fine predictor, the coefficients are then adjusted to account for the prediction from a lower-resolution to a higher-resolution, which is also optimized in a data-driven manner.

EM3M: An Electron Micrograph Dataset for Microstructural Segmentation and Generation

Quantitative microstructural characterization is fundamental to materials science, and electron micrographs (EMs) provide indispensable high-resolution insights. However, progress in deep learning-based analysis of EMs has been hampered by the scarcity of large-scale, expert-annotated public datasets. To address this issue, we introduce EM3M, a large-scale and multimodal dataset for instance-level understanding of EMs. EM3M comprises 5,091 high-quality EMs, approximately 3 million instance segmentation annotations, and image-level textual descriptions with disentangled attributes. The dataset is constructed through a rigorous multi-stage curation and validation pipeline, with comprehensive statistical analyses to ensure reliability and reproducibility. Building upon these curated image-text pairs, we further provide a text-to-image diffusion model that serves as a controllable data augmentation engine, demonstrating that synthetic augmentation consistently improves downstream segmentation performance. To establish a systematic benchmark, we evaluate representative instance segmentation methods on EM3M. Towards Accurate State Estimation: Motion Dynamics Kalman Filter for 3D Multi-Object Tracking

Precise 3D state estimation in multi-object tracking (MOT) is critical for self-driving cars, particularly for objects occluded. Motion modeling in the Kalman filter with a constant motion assumption is widely used in MOT methods, but it neglects the continuous changes in objects' motion caused by traffic in urban environments. Although recent research introduces a multimodel Kalman filter that incorporates multiple motion models, these approaches incur significant computational overhead from the simultaneous processing of multiple models. To this end, this work introduces a motion-dynamics Kalman filter (MD-KF) that overcomes the constant-motion assumption while preserving the singularity of the motion model. MD-KF models the changes in objects' motion over successive measurements as Gaussian distributions, and adaptively adjusts a weighted motion model to account for these variations. MD-KF consistently outperforms constant and multimodel KF across multiple datasets with a significant reduction in computation latency compared to multimodel approaches. The proposed approach demonstrates its superiority in trajectory estimation during occlusion and state estimation stability for stationary objects.

SEGA: Drivable 3D Gaussian Head Avatar from a Single Image

Creating photorealistic 3D head avatars from limited input has become increasingly important for applications in virtual reality, telepresence, and digital entertainment. While recent advances like neural rendering and 3D Gaussian splatting have enabled high-quality digital human avatar creation and animation, most methods rely on multiple images or multi-view inputs, limiting their practicality for real-world use. In this paper, we propose SEGA, a novel approach for Single-imagE-based 3D drivable Gaussian head Avatar creation that combines generalized prior models with a new hierarchical UV-space Gaussian Splatting framework. SEGA seamlessly combines priors derived from large-scale 2D datasets with 3D priors learned from multi-view, multi-expression, and multi-ID data, achieving robust generalization to unseen identities while ensuring 3D consistency across novel viewpoints and expressions. We further present a hierarchical UV-space Gaussian Splatting framework that leverages FLAME-based structural priors and employs a dual-branch architecture to disentangle dynamic and static facial components effectively. The dynamic branch encodes expression-driven fine details, while the static branch focuses on expression-invariant regions, enabling efficient parameter inference and precomputation. GO: The Great Outdoors Multimodal Dataset

The Great Outdoors (GO) dataset is a multi-modal annotated data resource aimed at advancing ground robotics research in unstructured environments. Existing off-road datasets often lack sensor diversity and exclude vital modalities like thermal and radar that are critical for operation in degraded conditions (e.g., low visibility or adverse weather). To address these gaps, we introduce a large-scale multimodal off-road dataset with six complementary sensor modalities, along with semantic annotations and GPS traces, to support tasks such as semantic segmentation, object detection, and SLAM. The diverse environmental conditions represented in the dataset present significant real-world challenges, which provide opportunities to develop more robust solutions to support the continued advancement of field robotics, autonomous exploration, and perception systems in natural environments. The dataset can be downloaded at: https://www.unmannedlab.org/the-great-outdoors-dataset/

SparseLGS: Sparse View Language Embedded Gaussian Splatting

Recently, several studies have combined Gaussian Splatting to obtain scene representations with language embeddings for open-vocabulary 3D scene understanding. While these methods perform well, they essentially require very dense multi-view inputs, limiting their applicability in real-world scenarios. In this work, we propose SparseLGS to address the challenge of 3D scene understanding with pose-free and sparse view input images. Our method leverages a learning-based dense stereo model to handle pose-free and sparse inputs, and a three-step region matching approach to address the multi-view semantic inconsistency problem, which is especially important for sparse inputs. Different from directly learning high-dimensional CLIP features, we extract low-dimensional information and build bijections to avoid excessive learning and storage costs. We introduce a reconstruction loss during semantic training to improve Gaussian positions and shapes. To the best of our knowledge, we are the first to address the 3D semantic field problem with sparse pose-free inputs. Experimental results show that SparseLGS achieves comparable quality when reconstructing semantic fields with fewer inputs (3-4 views) compared to previous SOTA methods with dense input. Besides, when using the same sparse input, SparseLGS leads significantly in quality and heavily improves the computation speed (5×\timesspeedup). Project page: https://ustc3dv.github.io/SparseLGS

GSurf: Learning Signed Distance Fields from Splatting Opaque Gaussians for High-quality 3D Reconstruction

High-fidelity surface reconstruction from multi-view images is a core problem in 3D computer vision. While neural implicit surfaces like SDFs offer smooth geometry, they are often bottlenecked by the computational intensity of volume rendering. Conversely, 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) provides rapid training but lacks geometry continuity, often leading to fragmented surfaces. This paper presents a novel framework that integrates Signed Distance Fields directly into the splatting pipeline. By leveraging the continuous nature of SDFs to regularize Gaussian primitives, our method effectively fills geometric holes and suppresses noise inherent in sparse point clouds. Unlike hybrid approaches that rely on heavy volumetric sampling, our approach utilizes the efficiency of splatting to achieve faster convergence. Extensive evaluations demonstrate that our method produces high-quality surfaces with significantly fewer primitives, offering a more compact and efficient representation for both indoor and outdoor environments.

MolMiner: Toward Controllable, 3D-Aware, Fragment-Based Molecular Design

We introduce MolMiner, a fragment-based, geometry-aware, and order-agnostic autoregressive model for molecular design. MolMiner supports high-dimensional conditional control over twelve physicochemical and structural properties from partial specifications, constructs molecules via symmetry-aware fragment attachments, and conditions each generation step on force-field-relaxed three-dimensional geometry of the partial structure. Conditional control emerges without auxiliary property losses. On targeted property windows, conditioning lifts hit rates by up to 5.25x over unconditional generation and 3.5x over the training distribution itself -- overriding the model's intrinsic biases -- at the cost of a small reduction in unconditional distributional fidelity. MolMiner unifies dynamic geometry, symmetry handling, order-agnostic generation, and scalable multi-property conditioning within a single framework.

EM-GANSim: Real-time and Accurate EM Simulation Using Conditional GANs for 3D Indoor Scenes

We present a novel machine-learning (ML) approach (EM-GANSim) for real-time electromagnetic (EM) propagation that is used for wireless communication simulation in 3D indoor environments. Our approach uses a modified conditional Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) that incorporates encoded geometry and transmitter location while adhering to the electromagnetic propagation theory. The overall physically-inspired learning is able to predict the power distribution in 3D scenes, which is represented using heatmaps. We evaluated our method on 15 complex 3D indoor environments, with 4 additional scenarios later included in the results, showcasing the generalizability of the model across diverse conditions. Our overall accuracy is comparable to ray tracing-based EM simulation, as evidenced by lower mean squared error values. Furthermore, our GAN-based method drastically reduces the computation time, achieving a 5X speedup on complex benchmarks. In practice, it can compute the signal strength in a few milliseconds on any location in 3D indoor environments. We also present a large dataset of 3D models and EM ray tracing-simulated heatmaps. To the best of our knowledge, EM-GANSim is the first real-time algorithm for EM simulation in complex 3D indoor environments. We plan to release the code and the dataset.

Partial Symmetry Detection for 3D Geometry using Contrastive Learning with Geodesic Point Cloud Patches

Detecting partial extrinsic symmetry in 3D geometry is a fundamental yet persistent challenge in computer vision and graphics, critical for tasks ranging from shape completion to procedural generation. Classical transformation-space voting methods rely on pairwise matching, scaling as O(n^2) and struggling to resolve coherent multi-instance groups. Recent learning approaches advance global symmetry detection but restrict the solution space to reflection planes, failing to capture rotational or translational repetitions such as the legs of a chair or the steps of a staircase. We propose SymCL, a self-supervised contrastive learning framework that detects partial symmetries across rotation, translation, and reflection (with scale-invariant features) and requires no ground truth annotations. By mapping local geodesic patches to a latent space invariant to the Euclidean group, we reformulate symmetry detection as a density-based clustering problem, enabling the simultaneous discovery of multi-instance symmetric relationships in a single forward pass. We evaluate quantitatively on SymPartNet, a new benchmark annotating all PartNet categories with partial symmetry relations, and demonstrate class-agnostic generalization qualitatively on everyday objects outside the training distribution.

EPMF: Efficient Perception-aware Multi-sensor Fusion for 3D Semantic Segmentation

We study multi-sensor fusion for 3D semantic segmentation that is important to scene understanding for many applications, such as autonomous driving and robotics. Existing fusion-based methods, however, may not achieve promising performance due to the vast difference between the two modalities. In this work, we investigate a collaborative fusion scheme called perception-aware multi-sensor fusion (PMF) to effectively exploit perceptual information from two modalities, namely, appearance information from RGB images and spatio-depth information from point clouds. To this end, we project point clouds to the camera coordinate using perspective projection, and process both inputs from LiDAR and cameras in 2D space while preventing the information loss of RGB images. Then, we propose a two-stream network to extract features from the two modalities, separately. The extracted features are fused by effective residual-based fusion modules. Moreover, we introduce additional perception-aware losses to measure the perceptual difference between the two modalities. Last, we propose an improved version of PMF, i.e., EPMF, which is more efficient and effective by optimizing data pre-processing and network architecture under perspective projection. Specifically, we propose cross-modal alignment and cropping to obtain tight inputs and reduce unnecessary computational costs. We then explore more efficient contextual modules under perspective projection and fuse the LiDAR features into the camera stream to boost the performance of the two-stream network. Extensive experiments on benchmark data sets show the superiority of our method. For example, on nuScenes test set, our EPMF outperforms the state-of-the-art method, i.e., RangeFormer, by 0.9% in mIoU. Our source code is available at https://github.com/ICEORY/PMF.

4D-RaDiff: Latent Point Diffusion for 4D Radar Point Cloud Generation

Automotive radar has shown promising developments in environment perception due to its cost-effectiveness and robustness in adverse weather conditions. However, the limited availability of annotated radar data poses a significant challenge for advancing radar-based perception systems. To address this limitation, we propose a novel framework to generate 4D radar point clouds for training and evaluating object detectors. Unlike image-based diffusion, our method is designed to consider the sparsity and unique characteristics of radar point clouds by applying diffusion to a latent point cloud representation. Within this latent space, generation is controlled via conditioning at either the object or scene level. The proposed 4D-RaDiff converts unlabeled bounding boxes into high-quality radar annotations and transforms existing LiDAR point cloud data into realistic radar scenes. Experiments demonstrate that incorporating synthetic radar data of 4D-RaDiff as data augmentation method during training of object detection models consistently improves performance compared to training on real data only. In addition, pre-training on our synthetic radar data achieves competitive detection performance, providing a promising, scalable approach to reduce dependence on costly manual annotations.

Influence of Extruded Filament Shape on Buildability in 3D Concrete Printing: A Geometry-Informed Deep Learning-FEM Approach

The geometric morphology of deposited filaments can significantly influence the structural performance and stability of 3D concrete-printed (3DCP) structures. However, most finite element (FEM)-based approaches for buildability assessment represent printed layers as simplified rectangles, potentially limiting predictive accuracy. This study proposes a geometry-informed modelling framework that integrates the deep-learning-based filament shape prediction tool ShapeGen3DCP with a layer-activation FEM approach to investigate the effect of realistic filament geometries on buildability. The framework generates geometry-aware numerical models directly from material and process parameters, eliminating the need for experimental filament characterization or computationally intensive fluid-flow simulations. Validation against experimental data and a parametric study of rectilinear walls demonstrate that extrusion parameters and the resulting filament geometry can significantly influence buildability predictions. Realistic filament representations are particularly important for free-flow deposition, whereas layer-pressing strategies are less sensitive to geometric simplifications. Among the investigated representations, an elliptical approximation provides an effective balance between geometric fidelity and modelling simplicity. When rectangular representations are preferred to enable regular computational meshes for faster simulations, defining their dimensions based on volume conservation improves prediction reliability compared with calibrating them using either the maximum filament width or the interlayer contact width. Overall, the proposed methodology demonstrates the importance of incorporating filament geometry into 3DCP simulations and provides practical guidance for selecting efficient and accurate geometric representations for buildability assessment.

Surrogate Modeling of 3D Rayleigh-Benard Convection with Equivariant Autoencoders

The use of machine learning for modeling, understanding, and controlling large-scale physics systems is quickly gaining in popularity, with examples ranging from electromagnetism over nuclear fusion reactors and magneto-hydrodynamics to fluid mechanics and climate modeling. These systems - governed by partial differential equations - present unique challenges regarding the large number of degrees of freedom and the complex dynamics over many scales both in space and time, and additional measures to improve accuracy and sample efficiency are highly desirable. We present an end-to-end equivariant surrogate model consisting of an equivariant convolutional autoencoder and an equivariant convolutional LSTM using GG-steerable kernels. As a case study, we consider the three-dimensional Rayleigh-B'enard convection, which describes the buoyancy-driven fluid flow between a heated bottom and a cooled top plate. While the system is E(2)-equivariant in the horizontal plane, the boundary conditions break the translational equivariance in the vertical direction. Our architecture leverages vertically stacked layers of D4D_4-steerable kernels, with additional partial kernel sharing in the vertical direction for further efficiency improvement. We demonstrate significant gains in sample and parameter efficiency, as well as a better scaling to more complex dynamics.
